Tommy Shelby x Reader

“Hello, I am a friend of Thomas Shelby’, is he in?”

Lizzie looked up from the newspaper she was skimming through, she saw a beautiful well dressed woman, who clearly didn’t belong to the dirty streets of small heath and certainly not in this shady betting shop, she sized her up taking a little long to respond, Lizzie concluded in her head that, this woman was a rich brat whose clothes cost more than her salary.

“Tommy doesn’t have friends”, she glared at y/n, Lizzie half expected her to turn around and run away, but y/n wasn’t fazed by her rude attitude, she understood where it came from, Thomas fucking Shelby had that effect on many women.

She just cocked her head to the side and said, “You must be Lizzie Stark, I have heard about you”,

Lizzie asked her expectantly, “From Tommy?”

‘Yes from Tommy’ y/n thought, but she did not want to give the poor girl any false hopes, so she said, “No, from here and there, people talk, don’t worry I am not judgmental a job is a job” she continued without giving Lizzie a chance to retaliate

“Anyways, is Thomas here I would like to see him”

“Do you have an appointment?” Lizzie said professionally, she went into full secretary mode

“Um, no but_”

Lizzie interrupted her, “Then you can’t, he doesn’t meet random people without appointments. He is a very busy man you see”

“Is he busy right now?” y/n asked

“Yes” Lizzie stated with finality

Y/N nodded, shifting her weight from one foot to another she said, “Okay, then will you let him know that I was here?

“Sure”, Lizzie shrugged

“Why don’t you do it right now, actually you know what I don’t want to bother you, I will do it myself” She moved towards Tommy’s office, like she owned the place,

“Wait you can’t just walk into his office like that……,” Lizzie got up from her desk and awkwardly ran after her, “Wait a damn minute” y/n flung the door open without knocking, both of them now standing in Tommy’s office, before Tommy could scold Lizzie for the sudden disturbance she scrambled to save her ass,

“Tommy I tried to stop her but she_”

“Its fine Lizzie” Tommy interrupted her,

“But_”  “I said its fine just close the door on your way out” Tommy said while waving his hand towards the door. Lizzie showed her discontentment with a huff and walked out.

Y/N walked towards his desk placing her purse on the chair, his eyes followed her closely, watching her quizzically,

“Oof, she is like a guard dog”, she said while taking her coat off,

“She is doing her job, I pay her for that” Tommy replied

“Mhmm, do you pay her to get jealous, as well?” she chuckled and raised her brows at him,

He ignored her rhetoric question and ran his hand over his face and hair, disheveling them a bit, “What are you doing here?”

“I was bored” She walked to the office window,

“Told you to stay at the hotel” He spun his chair to look at her, he wanted to hug her, hold her close and never let go, but he stopped himself an put his poker face back on,

She turned around to face him, almost catching the moment of vulnerability in his eyes, “And I told you that I wanted to see the city, specifically Small Heath, after all it’s my first trip to Birmingham”

“Come on Tom-Tom, please, show me around” She pleaded with her eyes

“No and why the fuck do you call me that?” His voice was stern, but the playful smirk on his lips indicated that he would cave in, y/n now standing in front of him leaned in and ruffled his hair like he was a schoolboy and said,

“Becauseeee, I love to annoy you…… Now, get your coat we are leaving” she tried pulling him up from his chair, but like dead weight he didn’t budge, instead he pulled her closer making her stand in between his knees, she looked at those ocean blue eyes and saw something that resembled pity and pain,

“Thomas? What is it, are you worried that your wife will find out?” She asked softly while fixing his messed up hair,

“She is not me wife” he objected,

“Yet” she quickly added,

“She is the mother of my kid and that’s it” he clarified stubbornly,

“And she has a ring on her finger so she is also your fiancée, or did you forget about that part” She reminded him while stroking his jaw, he held her wrist bringing her palm to his lips kissing it he grumbled “I am not going to marry her”

She pulled her palm from his grasp, returning it to its original position on his jaw “Keep telling yourself that, no matter what people, and what you think about yourself I know that you are a perfect gentleman, and you will do right by her side” she said with a humorless chuckle

“And what about yours?” he looked up at her questioningly,

She moved away from him, through a pained smiled she said “I don’t expect anything from you Mr. Shelby, I know you have other commitments and I respect that, all I want you to do is show me the city that you grew up in”

He sighed in defeat “It’s a shithole”

She shook her head chuckling, “Its a shithole you grew up in, I am sure it’s the most interesting shithole ever, and I want to see just that”

“Just that?” he raised his eyebrows

“Just that” she stated firmly, holding her arm out for him, he glanced at her for a moment, and grasped her palm with such a vigor giving her the impression that he would never let go, but she knew better, she knew that he had to let her go, both of them did, even if they didn’t want to, the thought of losing him made her sad momentarily but she quickly regained her composure and walked out, arm in arm with Tommy, she made peace with the fact that loving is letting go, till that time comes she would enjoy every second they had together.

I literally don’t know what really to expect, I’m pretty sure we don’t see Tommy smiling if we’re lucky then he will smile for 1 sec but our boy is Sad™️. Also I’m excited for Ada’s story aaaand I did expect that Tommy would marry Lizzie due to having a child with her but can’t seem to see them as a loving couple no matter how much Lizzie loves Thomas.

& I wonder when did Michael Married his new Wife and how his Relationship to Polly has changed because I don’t think that Polly was 100% happy about her

Even on his wedding day Thomas doesn’t stop thinking about business - and even bringing it to its own big day. He starts business with the Russians that night, not knowing what he is getting himself into. Money is being delivered to him by Duchess Tatiana Petrovna from Mr. Churchill for carrying out a job: he wants Tommy to deliver weapons to Russians for fighting the Bolsheviks. However, those Russians lead by Leon Romanov plan to kill Tommy after the deal.

For purpose of business he gets involved with Father Hughes, who is part of the Economic League. This is a group of people fighting against Britain’s enemies with most violent methods. During season 3 it becomes clear he is reporting to the Crown and trying to break diplomatic relationships with the Communists. Also, he is allegedly a child molestor with no other than Michael Gray being one of his victims while he was away from his mother Polly. He threatens Tommy by telling him he could take his son Charlie anytime.

John offended Angel Changretta, an Italian who was supposed to marry Lizzie Stark, John’s former fiancé. After a death threat, John later beats and cuts Angel and demands he and his fellows stay away from Lizzie. His actions are being supported by Tommy. This was a great mistake, as it turns out during a dinner party of the Shelby Charity Foundation. A man shoots Grace in the chest in revenge for Angel Changretta. Tommy wants revenge: torture Angels father and kill his mother. Despite his orders, Mrs. Changretta is being spared and flees to America.

Polly starts a chain reaction by going to confession and revealing that the Peaky Blinders a planning on killing a man of the church. Father Hughes finds out and later beats up Tommy, leading to internal bleedings and a crashed skull, sending him to hospital for three months. After that, he gets blackmailed by Father Hughes, who kidnapped Charlie.
