yes yes yes i do agree with that! my point, which admittedly i did not explain thoroughly lol is that, throughout the show harvey gets hit on by men. a lot. i mean the most notorious example of this is the scene between him and edward darby in jessica’s office where darby says “such a lovely face” about harvey and harvey laughs it off but is clearly uncomfortable with it. and then travis tanner who’s the epitome of “you should be addicted to shutting the fuck up / you wanna fuck me so bad it makes you look stupid” and then theres that lawyer who made the cruising joke in s2 where he says to harvey “the only man im here to SOLICIT is you harvey” and THEN. CAMERON. and all that that implies with being harvey’s boss and his lover when harvey was in his 20s.. and sean cahill, who i think harvey was flirting with to get him to help get mike out of prison…… anyway. i think harvey has some issues with feeling used tbh with feeling like “just a pretty face” that people wanna fuck him but not Be with him or make any effort to listen to him or take care of him

and my point was that men dont want to sleep with harvey they want to Fuck him. like theres a huge difference there. and mike doesn’t approach sex or his friendship with harvey like that at ALL he doesn’t want to Fuck harvey, he just wants to watch movies with him and take him to dinner and get high with him. and maybe that includes a sexual relationship, but in a much softer more considerate way than harvey is used to. there isn’t that level of ownership that other men in the show express towards harvey—and THAT is why harvey fell in love with him

What do you think is next for Ian and Mickey post-finale? i think they're gonna learn to communicate even more, they were in really good path already. i think the writers didn't have much faith in them in that aspect but the conversation they have in s11 about going back or not to the new neighborhood made evident that they can communicate, they listen to each other and understand the reasons, each other's feelings. so yeah, i think they're gonna get even better at that and also they're not gonna wait that much to become parents. i think they eventually will find new jobs, ian will have his tomatoes and mickey will adore looking at him doing his thing every sunday morning. i really really think they finally found their peace, their home and are gonna be very very happy and disgustingly in love forever because they're also hopeless romantic and want that so bad.

okay so my main two right now are actually my fame dr (ballerina ofc) and my doctor who dr.

in my ballerina dr, i’ve been getting into it so much recently because i remembered that im gonna be shifting when im 12 and not 22. meaning i’ll be sitting in my bedroom over the summer waiting for the anastasia cast list to come out while listening to belle and sebastian on my discman (probably). spoiler alert: i am cast as anya and i have the perfect summer working on it. im also starting cambridge in the fall and im so excited!! i’ve wanted to study art history forever and this is going to be the best experience of my life. i love twee as well and getting to be there as it develops is my dream life. i can go to bishop allen concerts and be tumblr famous. there will be gifsets of me!! oh god i can’t wait. this is honestly just scratching the surface of this dr. in uni im gonna meet my girls. erin alvarez and leni liu who are also extremely young students like me. i remain friends with them for the rest of my life. god how i miss them. plus, soon i’m also getting cast in my very first acting job as effy stonem in skins and that’s how i become famous (also starting my lifelong friendship with co-star hannah murray). oh AND im gonna get my first boyfriend too. i’m so obsessed with toby regbo and especially him in the movie mr nobody which is how we meet. im cast as teen anna and we are so awkward and stumble around each other. i love him. i know we have to break up because he’s not my main s/o but being with him is gonna be so fun. i hope we stay friends in the future. we’re gonna go to bookshops and cinemas together. we’re gonna kiss in the rain and just be super cliché because why not?!?! oops okay this is getting long

Really, Michael?

A ficlet for Michael Guerin Week 2022, Day 1: “Is that how you wanted this to go?”

Very inspired by various “did you get probed”/“probe and tell” gifsets and the thought of Michael and Kyle as potential future brother-in-laws.

“Seriously Valenti, if I’d known the person you were making ’getting probed’ jokes about was my sister…” Michael takes a swig of his beer, very pleased with the scandalized tone he manages to pull off, and taking great joy in the way Kyle instantly turns beet red and starts to splutter, giving Michael a betrayed look. 

“What? That’s not what— I— I didn’t— You were the one who said—” His eyes flicker desperately between Michael and Isobel. “Is, I swear—”

It’s almost too easy. Valenti’s clearly let his guard down now that they’re practically brother-in-laws. This should teach him. Michael half turns towards the kitchen to hide a satisfied smirk as Kyle struggles to put a sentence together, but he’s of course immediately stopped in his tracks, deer in headlights-style, when he’s met by an unimpressed look from his husband, eyebrows arched, back from picking up the wine much quicker than Michael’s expected.

Damn.

Alex has certainly perfected his ’Really, Michael?’ expression, Michael notes, and he puts it to good use. If Michael thought he was well acquainted with the look before, it’s nothing compared to life as a married man. (Despite Michael generally being very well behaved, if he can say so himself.)

He tries to look innocent, shrugging lightly. What does Alex expect from him anyway?

He is being nice to Valenti. Like, whose idea was it to invite him and Isobel over tonight? It most definitely wasn’t Mr Alex ’Ugh, other people. Let’s just get takeout and watch a movie on our own’ Manes (Guerin he corrects himself, a pleased little shiver running through him. Each time.) 

Because really, Michael is making an effort—being a good brother, a good host—in fact, he’s making what he knows is one of Kyle’s favorite dishes tonight (and isn’t it crazy that he even knows that?) A little light teasing should definitely be allowed, just enough so that Kyle doesn’t get too comfortable. Michael’s had to listen to enough self-righteous lectures—ok, some pretty good advice as well, he has to admit—through the years. Michael should get to torment him just a little. It’s only fair.

Isobel huffs, and Michael turns back towards the living room.

“Oh sweetie,” she says airily, stroking Kyle’s arm, “don’t worry about him. You’re doing amazing.” She flicks her ponytail back, rolling her eyes. “He’s just sulking because he and Alex are a boring old married couple now. He wishes he could get a good probing.”

Michael hears Alex practically hiss behind him. 

Ignoring them, Isobel resolutely grabs Kyle's face with both hands and pulls him in for a kiss with way too much tongue for a dinner with family. Michael would never.

After a long minute, Isobel steps back with a pleased hum, lovingly patting Kyle on the cheek before releasing him. He takes a few wobbly steps backwards, clearing his throat and trying to regain his composure, while Isobel calmly smooths her hair back and checks her lipstick, after giving Michael a smug look.

Ok, well Michael should have seen that coming he guesses. Isobel refuses to be embarrassed by anything sex related. And he loves her for it.

“Is that how you wanted this to go?” Alex mutters grumpily as he comes to stand next to Michael. “We could have been cuddling on the sofa by now, instead we’re stuck watching your sister make out with Kyle, and being insulted in our own home. ’Boring’.” He spits out the word with as much disdain as possible. 

Michael just grins, not sorry in the slightest.  

First of all, he can’t think of anything better to do with the rest of his life than getting to be a boring old married couple with Alex. A dream come true, really.

And second, he knows exactly what happens when his husband’s competitive streak is activated, and there’s no way Alex will idly stand by and accept the implication that Kyle Valenti’s sex life is better than theirs.

Michael’s in for a wild night once the others have left, if he plays his cards right.

“It’s ok, honey.” He places a chaste kiss on Alex’s cheek, humming thoughtfully. “I guess it’s true what they say—the magic has to go eventually. Routine can be good too.”

The glint in Alex’s eyes tells him he knows exactly what Michael's up to, but also that it’s definitely working. Oh, it’s on.

For Rob, I'll start with this one. I feel like I post it every time someone asks me about my favorite gifs or moments but listen, that man's god damn belly makes me feral. The context of the scene is also just peak Dad™ for me so it was 10000/10, absolutely had to gif this the second I watched:

This is an interview but you know when you first start checking out a new dude and you see gifs from interviews/shows where they look particularly tasty and you're immediately like I must find this and watch it or else I will perish. That was this interview for me. And how could it not be? Again...BELLY. Hairy belly. Just big, soft, delicious man meat. And thighs. As soon as I found it I had to gif it for myself so I could make it as obnoxiously big as humanly possible.

I watched this zoom live and the moment this motherfucker turned his head my brain said "gif it". Profile? Nose? Greys?

A Fanfic Update

Hey guys, I thought I should give you an update about what's going on Ongoing-WIPs-wise just in case you've had some worries.

The short of it is that the writing juices haven't flowed well for a while now and I'm trying to get them back but it is a struggle. I've worked a bit on this fic or other but haven't made significant progress in a few months. I absolutely hope that will change soon but I unfortunately can't force it. It doesn't help that I'm going through some stuff IRL right now that I have to take care of (I am unfortunately an adult who has to do adulting and pay bills and shit 🥲). I try not to be too stressed out about it, but the more time passes the more the anxiety sets in. Wish me luck. 💪🏻

Anyway, here's a fic-by-fic overview, split up by fandom.

THE UNTAMED

The Angsty SongXue Fic — I'll be honest, I've written a little bit since I last updated you guys but I still haven't finished the buffer chapter (at this point I'm thinking about posting chapter 51 even though 52 isn't done yet), so nothing really new here. I really want to get back into a writing flow but so far it hasn't really worked. I am still working on it, though, so don't worry, I'm not going to drop it.

The It Follows AU — I'm ashamed to say I didn't even realize I posted that fic almost two years ago and I still haven't written the second half. I'm so sorry it's taking so long! I definitely still want to finish it! I might rewatch the It Follows movie before I do that, though.

The Observer Series — Oh yeah, remember that smutfic series I started a few years ago of which I've only posted part 1 so far? Yeah, I still need to work on that. I did write chapter 1 of part 2 a while ago, so it's not like it's forgotten, I just need to get my ass up and write the rest of part 2 before I can post it. 🙈

The Color Rush AU — Okay, technically I haven't posted that one yet but I did share a snippet along with a gifset a few years ago, so you guys know it exists. I haven't worked on it in a long time, though, and I don't know yet when I will find the spoons to continue writing it but I'm still intrigued by the premise and want to give it a go. Thank you for your patience!

The Somewhat Sweet, Somewhat Angsty XuanXian Fic — Again, haven't posted that one yet but I've been posting about it, so you guys know it exists. Nothing new on this front. I did want to rewrite the whole thing because I wasn't really happy with the way I wrote it thus far, so I'll probably go back to it at some point and do that, I just don't know when yet.

The Xie'er Deserves the World Fic — Listen, guys, I love this fic so much, I just haven't worked on it in a while. I'll probably re-read what I've written so far and go on from there, I've just been struggling with the latest chapter ever since I started writing it years ago. It's not dropped, though, I will get back to it! Pinky swear!

SAILOR MOON

I've mentioned here and there that I'm working on part 1 of an epic that is based on a doujinshi I started when I was 13 or 14. Unlike my other WIPs, this one really is 100% self-indulgent to the point where I don't even care whether people will read/like it once I post it when it's completely done. I'll just put it out there to make my teenage self happy because this story has been simmering in my head for over 20 years, and so that my IRL friends can read it if they want to. So, this one will be a long way out, but it exists. I'm only really mentioning it because I've mentioned it a couple of times before and because it's the fic that's been on my mind the most lately.

STAR WARS

You didn't think I forgot about TROBS, did you????? I did work on several beginnings of a draft during NaNoWriMo last year and I'm getting more and more of a clear picture of how I want it to go. For those unfamiliar, TROBS (or The Rise of Ben Skywalker, though I already changed the name of the fic again) is my attempt at an Episode IX fix-it fic that essentially replaces TROS. This one has been simmering in my head since early 2020 and I really want to get it out of there and onto the page for catharsis. I've even held off on reading any other TROS fix-its because of it, even though I've heard there are some really amazing ones out there (and I can't wait to read them once I've gotten my own out of my damn head). I really need to finally finish that beast. Wish me luck. 🥲

Bestie, please i need you to write something for Logan x pierce 🥺 I'm so fucking happy you're getting into Boyd's stuff

Bestie I want to desperately but I haven't even seen the movie all I know about it is from Tumblr gifsets thanks to @conradrasputin who got me hooked on the whore that is Donald Pierce. But that doesn't mean I don't already have fic ideas...

1. I feel like it's mandatory to write a good nasty smut where Pierce uses that lovely robotic hand of his to pleasure himself, he fixes it up on his own to have a nice vibrating function that he can abuse his prostate with with a special elastic glove covering the cold metal skeleton. He's in the middle of fingering his brains out and twisting his nipple piercings with his other hand (because of course a whore like him has nipple piercings and a tongue piercing) when some lower rank henchman coworker of his walks in on him. 2. I also want to write of course a fic where Pierce uses X-24 as his personal guard dog/favorite dildo because he loves his men rough and X-24 has been the most perfectly brutal animalistic bedpartner he ever had; besides that he always wanted a dog. He puts a collar and sometimes a leash on X-24 and pets his head or scratches under his jawline when his perfect beast does something well and he rewards him by bending over for a fuck or giving him a blowjob. 3. Speaking of X-24, I definitely want a fic where Pierce already has an established master-dildodog relationship with him and Pierce manages to capture Logan who he's obsessed with. I want a scene of Pierce tracing his hands along Logan's thighs who can't do anything about it because he's tightly bound meanwhile Pierce muses how damn familiar Logan is even if Logan doesn't know just how well Pierce knows his body. "I know the exact shape and size of your cock, how you like it sucked, and what your weaknesses are. Like when I do this," and he licks at the shell of Logan's ear and bites it just hard enough and Logan trembles into it, his cock stirring involuntarily and Pierce continues with a pleased humm "you'll instantly get turned on. It wouldn't be me if I didn't want an omegaverse au where Pierce while still a mercenary is an omega who volunteers to carry Logan's kids next to the cloning plan to get little supersoldiers from his DNA. Logan is captured and gets rut enducing drugs injected into him when Pierce quits his suppressants to induce heat in himself. No matter how bad Logan hated the guy, an alpha in rut only sees a beautiful omega in heat ready for a good breeding in Pierce at that moment and all forms of restraining are useless as they couple like feral dogs in the allocated cell. Their breeding lasts for a whole week and by the end of it Pierce is not only knocked up with a full litter but also got claimed by Logan, both of them too lost in passion at that time to care but now months later Pierce is actually annoyed by it because his instincts make him crave his mate and the thought of giving his babies away for science experiments seem less and less appealing. He gets almost daily doctor's check ups to see the progress in his womb and is allowed a weekly meeting with Logan to keep the omega in him happy because a happy omega is a healthy fetus. Logan despite himself also develops strong feelings to protect Pierce and their babies and they end up escaping together before the babies are born to raise them in a remote cabin after killing off the people working for the evil organization. I'm a sucker for domestic endings like this

5. Because he's serving LDR trailer Park hooker vibes I desperately want to create a fic (with or without the powers) where it's like current regular times and Donald Pierce hooks up with this sexy gruff older stranger Logan at a gas station toilet and its so incredibly hot both of them are shaken by it (Pierce acts like a tough guy until he's getting his face fucked against the grimy toilet stall door and then bends over the sink to get his ass resized) but they both know it must stay a one time thing. Until they end up seeing each other not two days later at the same cheap motel they're both coincidentally staying at and they tumble into Pierce's room for hot nasty sex (but before that Logan rushes back to his own room for five minutes saying that uh he left his condoms there which is weird because Pierce says he can just use his own and then Logan ends up not even using any condoms and just pumps him full of cum) and Pierce is honestly above the clouds enough that he offers Logan the chance to sleep over which he's never done with a random hookup before but Logan declines and retires to his own room leaving Pierce cold and confused. The next day Pierce sees Logan pack his car and take off and decides to follow him instead of going on his work related trip. He stops not short from where Logan stops and goes into the Diner they stopped in front of first so it doesn't seem like it's Pierce who's following him, taking a seat at the bar and pointedly not paying attention when he hears people come in behind him. He sucks on his strawberry milkshake and eats his fries putting them on his tongue one by one with carefully practiced casual sluttyness while reading his work texts on his phone, rolling his eyes and sighing dramatically as he feels a particular pair of eyes on him and when he slips out of his seat and heads for the men's room he doesn't even need to wait to hear the steps to know Logan will follow. Which he does, bless his heart, and Pierce gives a coy "I'm starting to think you're following me," before he gets pushed out on the back exit and gets ravished against the wall in the alley behind the diner. The fuck is hard and rough and fast and everything Pierce needs to cum his brains out but after it's done and he chuckles "mmm you should've bought me dinner first," Logan huffs that he doesn't think that's a good idea before going back in the diner leaving the younger man alone. Pierce doesn't get why Logan wouldn't want to hang out after they've had such glorious sex not once but three times but when he goes back he does quickly realize because Logan's small daughter is munching down on a big burger right across from him and he's doing his best not to look at Pierce paying his tab and leaving. Pierce sits in his car silently smoking and watching Logan and his daughter Finnish their meal, waiting for what Pierce assumes would be his wife to come by the table as well but she never does and the two of them leave on their own. Should Pierce keep following and trying to pursue a single dad on a road trip with his daughter just for the sake of some splendid dick and end up learning how to be a good stepmommy just so he can date said single dad? Maybe not, but Donald Pierce loves bad ideas.

6. that being said I do want a fic where Logan and Pierce are in the beginning of their relationship and Pierce has to try to deal with the fact that he not only has a new man but with that comes an unexpected new stepdaughter and how difficult it is to maneuver around their kid for fun sexy times. Its maddening how Logan doesn't want to fuck him over the kitchen counter or table because his daughter eats there or how he must keep his moans muffled into the pillow so Laura won't hear or how they can't do any flirting around Laura as if that'd do her any harm. Don't get him wrong he gets along with Laura well enough but her dad is just far too overly protective and Pierce just wants to get dicked the fuck down!!! This could also be an omegaverse where Pierce wants Logan to breed him already buy Logan is afraid Laura might feel less important if they start having babies now and Pierce is outraged by that. He needs his eggs cracked and his name dropped. That means he wants to have babies and get married NOW you old fuck come on!

7. I know the prev few seem like long multichapter fics but I also want a nice short smut shot based on the knowledge that Logan is supposed to be a limo driver in that movie as a job, and hearing that I immediately came up with a no powers au where Logan gets hired by Pierce's boss as personal limo driver only the boss himself barely ever uses said limo and instead it's Pierce taking high profile clients and business partners out for fine dining or exclusive clubs or just plain old serving champagne in the limo while Pierce whores himself out to different men like five times a week and Logan has front row seats to watch as Pierce sucks on the cock of the client of the day or rides a business partner for some deal his boss needs. Pierce quickly catches on that the hot limo driver likes to watch and makes sure to put on a good show for him. One night when Logan is supposed to pick up Pierce and another client from the club only Pierce gets in the car, clearly irritated and wearing his sunglasses but those don't cover the split lip he's got as he grumbles for Logan to take him home. Logan hears as Pierce calls up his boss and tells him he couldn't secure the deal which results in a lot of yelling on the other end of the phone but Pierce just looks tired as he mumbles his apologies, nothing like his usual cocky self. Pierce asks Logan to park in the garage and then come up to his apartment if he wants a bonus and Logan is mad enough to comply and give Pierce what he needs; a good hard fuck to calm him down and then a sweet and gentle one he's too tired to resist against to make him fall asleep. For such a tough nasty guy he sure loves to cuddle in his sleep.

* The current airing shows’ lists are all updated: Law & Order SVU, The Flash, Magnum PI, Taxi Driver; I’ll soon watch Carnival Row and update it with the first two episodes aired as well;

* I am doing a whumpslist for Will Trent, which is currently airing, and the books by Karin Slaughter the TV show is based on, I'm still undecided whether to publish it or wait to complete them all. What would you prefer?;

* I have to update the Titans' list with the first part of the fourth season;

* I’ve finally updated the Prodigal Son's list with the second season (I will reblog it right after this post); The Boys' one has already been updated with the third season;

* I’ve recentely updated Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan and Strike (TV show and books) too, and posted a new K-list, The Veil;

* I have started to watch the second season of The Witcher (I’ve watched the prequel Blood Origin and enjoyed it so much);

* I have K-drama The K-2 list to complete from... forever, I will gather my courage to finish it and goodbye one of my favorite character; same for The Musketeers, only a bunch of episodes left to review...

Nope, as I’ve already answered it several times: I will not do a list for SEAL Team, I've only made a gifset for episode 2.17. Despite the potential, it’s pretty lacking in whumps (even if the last season had some improvements). The ones shown are widely reviewed in The Whumpapedia, though.

last movie: the last movie I watched was a Hallmark movie, Notes of Autumn. Luke Macfarlane was in it 😍 and that was all I needed. It was super cute!

Hi! Hope its ok to ask, and sorry if its already been answered before: Do you have fav Les Mis adaption? Or a few?

Thank you for asking me!! I've not watched all of them, considering how many there are floating around out there and how many are sadly lost, but. I have spent this year hunting down and watching every adaptation I could. A special thanks to @ueinra for a lot of help in that regard. I recently made a Letterboxd account and a List just for Les Mis. I've plans to go through and review them properly, (Currently I only have Shoujo Cosette reviewed!) but I'd be happy to try to coalesce my thoughts on my absolute favorite for you, that being the four-part silent* Les Miserables (1925) under this read-more! Hiyah!

It's... Hard to grasp my feelings on LM1925, considering how special it is to me. These films really made me love the idea of cinema again. I had never seen a silent movie before, and frankly I thought they were one of those things that were a bit out of reach for me, but wow I am so so happy I watched LM1925. Not only is it a fantastic adaptation of LM, it's also just a fantastic set of movies (miniseries??) in general. The casting, the acting, the sets, the locations, the attention to detail, the quality of the visuals (which often are just frankly stunningly beautiful), the pacing, the atmosphere. Everything just works and is faithful to the feeling of reading the novel. (I will say I watched it without the accompany music at first, but have since gone back and listened to it overtop on a rewatch, and wow what a cool oddity it is. The Sims 1 soundtrack but with a surreal and often nightmarish twist.) I adore Gabriel Gabrio as Valjean. He really captures the idea that Valjean can both be noble, kind, and fearsome all in one. And Jean Toulout as scrunkly and lively Javert...!! I truly love him. I think them and Sandra Milovanoff as Fantine (less so as her playing Cosette, too, wish they would have cast another person) give absolutely amazing performances. This is also a great adaptation for the Gorbeau part of the book, ESPECIALLY Suzanne Nivette as Eponine, wow! What an Eponine! Probably my favorite Eponine. Same with Thenardier, both the Eponine and Thenardier in this one are tied with LM1972 for me. I also just like the... what I'll call "Theater Acting" performances I've seen in this and in the other early films I've watched since. The thick makeup. The funny expressions. The dramatic poses. All this would be considered overacting in the modern day, but to me it just feels alive. It reminds me of a lot of animations, I suppose, and that delights me. I also love love love that they didn't attempt to make big changes to the material at hand (Hell, they even touch on Waterloo in a way I thought was cool!). LM1925 and Shoujo Cosette made me realise that the longer a Les Mis adaptation is, typically the better it is to me. (with. One exception off the top of my head...) I think by the time I had watched all the other adaptations of both the novel and the musical, I had grown fatigued over the different ways films would try to condense things into 2 hours, and leave a lot on the cutting room floor (even if that usually means they focus more on the J vs JVJ aspect that I always have a weakness for), or when they try to cram everything into said 2 hours and turns it into a pacing nightmare. LM1925 avoids all that!

I feel I'm rambling on, so I'll rapid fire some stuff off. I love that they filmed in the actual msurm. I love that they kept things really grungy when the film calls for it. I love the scenes of the barricade, especially the scenes with the national guards spilling in. I love the subtle changes to the valvert side of things, it's truly one of the better adaptations for the shippers. I need to get on making some gifsets. If you love Les Mis, or just film in general, I think you owe it to yourself to watch LM1925. It's free! It's on the Internet Archive! There are download buttons or you can stream it! Please do! And tell me your thoughts on it!

yes exactly!!!! i bought the book two weeks ago (it was on my list forever) and i'm pretty close to finishing it. i was planning on reading the book fully first and then watching the movie but then the movie happened and i just couldn't look away lmao 😭😭😭 listen i know this gets thrown around a lot but that whole 'a fell first but b fell harder' is like???? the way alex has to wrap his head around being into boys and then also having feelings for the boy he thought he despised for so long. but then, once gets there, he's All In. like with everything, if alex claremont diaz decided to go for something, he goes for it fully and without hesitation and it's so beautiful to see henry fox, who doesn't think he'll ever find or get to have the love he so desperately wants, get alex's unrestrained love and affection!!!!! i saw a gifset of that scene where zahra catches henry in alex's hotel room, and at the beginning when they're in bed, henry is dead asleep, looking so comfortable and rested, next to the man he probably already loves. and it hit me, 'world class imsomniac', the grief that hits him at times and there's nothing he can do but ride the wave, and then alex comes along and is able to give him a sense of peace and calm and he finally gets to rest.

i wanna cry. this is a book i think i'll read every few months or so.

oh 100% about alex being all in! he's like hm ok henry? really? him? well i do kind of like him and then he just starts tumbling down the hill so fast it's insane lmao. henry is literally like hm ok well maybe alex doesn't mind kissing me a bit and then alex is holding his hand is like hey i want to do this again and henry has to be like don't overreact don't get ahead of urself. he has to be the one that mentions they have to keep it casual because if alex won't say it, he's clearly forced to. but alex is like so loudly into him it's insane

oh my god it really is a sense of peace. absolute peace. he's literally like well alex is my happy calm place so yes i can sleep and i can feel safe and loved. the same with the party which literally is top3 scenes of the whole film. like henry is having a blast just sitting at a party talking to alex and you literally see him seize up when the girl is on alex's lap and alex goes off to dance. he literally looks so out of place again until alex drags him to dance and he's dancing around him before the girl drags alex again lmao

sidenote this bit in the book would have killed me in the film but it has such a different meaning considering we literally see henry watching alex the whole time:

“Here,” Alex says, moving his own hips, “watch me.” With a grave gulp of champagne, Henry says, “I am.”

honestly ofc the book has so much more nuance to it but i actually love how many more details and things are picked up on the film. seeing henry so utterly in love with alex at the party is insane because we don't see that pov in the book. the addition of henry looking heartbroken when alex is kissed by those random girls at midnight rather than nora actually took me tf out because you can tell henry is like 'i want to do that, i want to be able to do that' and then he gets to! and then he ghosts alex because he convinces himself that alex just saw that as another wild nye kiss thing. urgh naunce was added in a new and cool way

film adaptations which are true to the book but do things differently are just so so interesting to me!
