Random and non cohesive HB thoughts, particularly season 2:

I don’t condone or support Stella’s actions, but I am very disappointed in how she is written. Im fine with her being a villain, and I’ll even let a lack of a backstory slide! My main issues with Stella are:

A) Being 1 dimensional. Please, give her traits outside of “bitch” and “angry at Stolas”. The majority of the fan base already is (somehow) in support of Stolitz, you don’t need another prop to keep your ship going. (subpoint to a): Also, not a fan of the “wife finds out that her husband is queer” trope, but whatever, she is a villain. Its pretty fucking basic though.

B) Her lines. My fucking gosh, her lines are so fucking flat and weightless. You’d think that something an abuser says would stick and sound intimidating, but no. We get “I LiKe ToRmEnTiNg YoU”. For fucks sake, what was that?! As someone who grew up with an abusive mother, I can confidently say that no one will say that. Its like they didnt respect their ADULT audience enough to figure things out and felt they had to have a giant ass neon sign screaming

“LOOK HERE, THIS IS ABUSIVE, SHE SAID SHE LIKES HURTING HIM! A-B-U-S-E! NOW GO AND FORGET ABOUT ANY TERRIBLY TOXIC THINGS STOLAS OR BLITZO HAVE DONE”

Clearly the show is meant for adult audiences. We don’t need to be told what is and isn’t abuse. Why not do a little something called “show vs tell”? Some alright examples they have previously done are the portraits usually having just Stolas and Octavia, or a pissed Stella. Or seeing how she threw a fucking imp butler across the room.

I got a bit off topic, but here are some ways id probably write her:

A narcissist. To the outside world, she is friendly Stella, who just likes to party and smile. She has a perfect family, and everyone loves her. But under the surface, in order to feel superior she puts Stolas down constantly, through verbal abuse and perhaps some physical. Her love for Octavia is conditional, she is only pleased as long as everyone is doing everything to her command. All this possibly stems from an inferiority complex that she desperately covers through a high ego, false confidence and making sure others feel lesser to her.

Some possible lines?:

“You are nothing without me. You think you can make it on your own without me? You cant even take care of Octavia, what makes you think you can handle yourself”

“You would choose a lowly imp over me? I guess I shouldn’t have expected more from someone as low as you”

“You don’t even deserve to have me, consider yourself lucky that I am willing to stay”

“You look so damn stupid like that, singing in your self pity. Had you stuck with me, you wouldn’t have been in that position.” That or someone else mentioned Blitzo and Stella being childhood friends, her being arranged with Stolas, and then having the cheating incident

whoever had that idea is a genius.

C: Why is her design so damn good? I love fancy pigeons and they made her a fancy pigeon. (this isn’t a complaint but a thought)

Moving on from Stella, lets get to S2 E2…

I was so excited to have an episode where it wasn’t the Stolitz shipping show. I got my hopes too high. The one positive thing Ill say is that I enjoyed the adoption flashback. Maybe I read too much into it but it feels kind of like a commentary in how shitty the adoption system is, especially to teenagers. Any kid really, as they’re treated like literal dogs, and then kicked out on the street.

Back to me complaining about shit:

For one, why did we spend so much fucking tome in that stupid ass sitcom? If Stolas is such a caring dad, shouldn’t he just leave and look for Octavia? So much character growth could have happened in that time.

I know that Loona didn’t just tell Octavia to just deal with her dad neglecting her just because “he’s trying”. Its HIS responsibility as a parent to take care of his kid, and Octavia has every right to be upset st him and her circumstances. Her parents have been unstable, but after a divorce, even more so. Her dad has straight up ignored her, in favor of arguing with Stella. She did nothing wrong and has nothing to apologize for. I got so excited when Stolas started to apologize, but then Octavia apologized.

Did I mention that there was 4 minutes of Octavia and Loona together at most? Despite the thumbnail? Yeah, that blowed.

Honestly the only reason I keep up anymore is because of the animation and the weak dying hope that it’ll get better.

EDIT: So Imma randomly add a brainbarf of thoughts here too, because I do not feel like organizing shit. My brain's thoughts just expand everywhere, so bare with me.

Another reason why Stella's abuse doesn't really land is because Stolas just... doesn't seem afraid of her at all? For someone who claims to love tormenting someone, she sure is doing a shitty job at it. The way that Stolas would just have the balls (or cloaca ig) to keep going out using Blitz, worry free despite his wife doesn't give the vibes of "Victim of Domestic violence, verbal and physical abuse" to me.

To continue on why her abuse doesn't land, it has to do with the nature of this show and how it portrays stuff. It gets very confusing. Loona assaulting Blitz, Blitz and Asmodeus (on separate occasions) touching Moxie's groin area (without consent) and Multiple characters using slurs against Moxie is supposedly "funny".

Personally I don't find it humorous, but I do get somewhat jaded and desensitized to stuff like that happening. Not to say that it's acceptable behavior, but you do kind of get used to it and take it a little less seriously in the context. In S1E2 Stella is seen screaming and throwing shit around. This *can* be seen as portrayal of abuse, but given that many characters do similar shit it can also be seen as another unfunny attempt at humor.

Fast forward to season 2, if you've lasted that long you should expect some edgy shit like that to be written in a way that tries to excuse it. But all of a sudden, we get "Actually, abuse is bad. Feel bad for Stolas because he is abused by his wife. Yeah, we constantly make our characters do abusive things too, but it's funny when they do it, just ignore it and feel bad for Sad Gay Owl Man."

What? The fuck? Is the deal with powers, especially human disguises? Initially I thought that maybe only Succubi and Incubi, as well has hellhounds had the power because some hellborns are more powerful than others. How would that work if Hellhounds are below Imps in the hierarchy though? By that logic, shouldn't Imps also get that power? So that idea doesn't work. I don't fucking know why or how any of this works. Theres no storybuilding or explanation for it. For something that appears so often, I think there should be. The purpose of a human disguise is to blend in among the human world, so I can see Succubi/Incubi having that power because I'd assume they're some of the only demons allowed to go to the human world. I wouldn't know why a hellhound would come to Earth, but I guess they just have the power too?

Speaking of rules about demons on Earth that weren't explained!

Stolas is able to summon himself in some big scary owl demon form without his book ANYWHERE near him in "Truth Seekers". Yet in S2E2 he can only conjure up a poorly designed human form because now his powers are attached to the book? HUH?! Where is the consistency?

Also, given that IMP is big enough to get a commercial, how have they not gotten in trouble for breaking what I assume is one of hell's only rules? We know that they aren't supposed to be there, and yet this seems to have no consequence? Having them have to try and fly below the radar in hell would raise stakes a lot more imo.

But whatever, fuck the rules, because there are none!

Unrelated rambles, but still kind of relevant and similar? I just don't want to make a separate post.

I don't like Andrealphus' design. It's way too bright and saturated and honestly has my eyes strain a lot, despite not being red. I kinda wanna redesign him. Also I feel like he's gonna be yet another gay stereotype, which is always fun to have /s.

Lucifer's design is underwhelming. Not necessarly because the design is bad on its own, but because of two things:

A) Too many characters look like that. We have too many skinny white Tumblr Sexyman Twinks. We have too many characters with that copy paste smile. Too many characters in suits. He just doesn't stand out. This leads me to my next point.

B) His design doesn't say "Lucifer, King and Ruler of Hell, Fallen Angel". It says "Generic Vivziepop Snarky Guy with a quirky interest". BEFORE SOME OF YALL START SAYING "B-but ackshually he pwobably haz a more dwemwonic fowm 🤓", respectfully, no. I feel that the leader of hell should have a default design that commands some kind of respect out of fear, it doesn't have to be crazy, but it should be intimidating, and stand out. What kind of king just blends into a crowd of his own people? Especially in a fantasy? This is fiction, and there is no reason to hold back and not try something new. In fact, 90% of the characters being skinny could actually be used as an advantage, because then you could just make Lucifer's bodyshape different from the default and he'd already stand out much more.

From my personal experience living in Canada and spending time in Russia I wouldn't be too surprised if statistically by volume, owned dogs being kept outdoors in a yard aren't living their most fulfilling lives when compared to an indoor pet dog just because people who lead active lives with their pet dogs are more likely to also have them indoors. and I definitely see how it can be a red flag in certain situations, but in no way are outdoor dogs inherently neglected or mistreated?? Any owner of a northern breed in a snowy climate can attest to dogs loving the cold outdoors and it can be a battle to even get them inside.

I think one should keep in mind that yes LGDs are a thing and many breeds are built for life outside, but realistically i think in this discussion only a very small minority of outdoor dogs here are legitimately working dogs who work. yes watchdogs are technically working, but the sad reality I witness is a lot of people's watchdogs are just spending their lives tethered with very little to do, and their daily lives aren't really comparable to the working LGD or farm/sled dog.

But here's the thing, I think indoor pet dogs statistically aren't all living their best lives either? like I don’t think someone whose dog spends 8 hours alone in an apartment has the moral high ground to call out a dog being kept in a yard. and maybe like 15% of dog owners max should be owning dogs to begin with. Just like how children are the expected next step in having a picture perfect Hallmark life I think many people get dogs for similar reasons without actually wanting the lifestyle that dog ownership entails. Just get a stuffed animal if you only care about the optics of a cute dog.

I also think discussions of race and class are being overlooked in some regards. Now this is more from an outsider perspective looking in consuming the American experience secondhand, but I do think that the breeds of dog being kept as outdoor dogs in America (*cough* many bully types) and the people who own them (*cough* many visual minorities or lower income people) don't exist in a vacuum and i think there is some hidden racist and paternalistic elements in the way folks talk about outdoor dogs.

I don't want to compare dogs as equal to children because they are not and their needs are very different, but seeing as how many white middle class people have fully adopted dogs as surrogate replacements for children and of equal emotional status, I'm not surprised racist sentiments about "why/how many/how" poor and people of other cultures or minorities raise their kids will also morph into critiques over their pet care by those who put equal if not more value on dogs’ lives than people.

The white hegemony has shown time and time again to have an extremely paternalistic mindset that the indigenous, people of colour, and the poor just don't know how to look after their dependents and the state’s favourite solution of course is always punitive measures by means of physical removal or fines instead of material aid and community support.

If an outdoor dog is not living a good life i think it’s always best to first address the issue and try finding solutions if the owner cares, and give them support to succeed, instead of rushing in to shanghai the dog away so you can feel good about yourself for rescuing it and writing up a sob story about its past, nevermind the chances of a second-hand outdoor mutt having a happy ending once it enters the shelter system.

Some people legitimately shouldn’t have their dogs for everyone's sake, but i think we as a society are a little too trigger happy to separate dogs from owners and similarly children from parents if their skin is a certain colour or they don’t have much money.

Idk dogs are just in such a fascinating position in today's western society? They are pets and they are family. But “pets are a privilege”, and family is a right. We fully believe when people say their dog is their fur baby and their entire world, but legally they are property.

But a dog doesn't need to be treated as an anthropomorphized fur baby to live a good well cared for life, and capitalism especially wants us to believe that doing anything short of fur babying our pets is somehow bad.

Then you juxtapose that next to cultures who don't anthropomorphize their dogs to such a degree, whose lives are aesthetically perceived as sub-par from living outside, and there becomes moral outrage even if the dog is living a totally fine life with its needs met. just because it doesn't have unlimited access to the living room couch or your bed. I think the ultimate culmination of this attitude can be seen by folks decrying stuff like the Iditarod as cruel exploitation of dogs all while they spoon feed their french bulldogs recovering from IVDD or airway surgery, disorders that only exist in those dogs because we want the most babyfied looking animal possible.

I really feel like a sizeable group of western middle class pet owners and animal rights people firmly believe that in order to have a good life, an animal needs it's daily nutritional dose of this intangible yet very very specific anthropomorphic, human-grade brand of Love™. And that by not giving them this human-grade Love™ then their lives must be awful and neglected.

It's what makes them think all livestock suffers no matter their living conditions because no farmer who Loves™ their animals would ever slaughter or eat them. And it's what makes a wheezing pug, a fennec fox in an apartment, or a very lame cow strapped into a wheelchair ok. It doesn't matter what the physical quality of life is, I am showering them with Love™, and that’s what’s most important. And any person or culture who doesn’t spoil their animals with this specific brand of Love™ must be evil and uncaring. anyway that’s my unsolicited two cents.

oh a very interesting question!! i dont usually think about this in regards to my characters because i prefer not to think too much about romance in my writing (i am aroace and find other dynamics easier to write) but hmmmm yes i think i will give it a go

you will find many of my characters are on the aroace spectrum as well because the projection game goes too hard

kiska doesnt really want biological kids because shes. immortal. and it would be weird. but she's VERY maternal. she adopts vas almost every reincarnation cycle and even beyond vas she's the type to pick up strays. she's a great mom too, she does her absolute best to learn everything she can about parenting

vas is . 15 years old usually! i dont think kids are ever really on her mind when i write her. i know some teenagers are already thinking about having a family, vas is not one of them lol. but she grows up Eventually and i think if she found someone she really trusted and loved she wouldnt be opposed to having kids, adopted or otherwise. back when vas was a grown woman in older drafts, her story was actually a romance! and she did have kids with her partner, aaron, in some aus. so hypothetically she could want kids, but i dont think about it much because shes 15 and a gremlin and i dont think she plans for romance or family life, its something that finds her when shes older sometimes though

boreal honestly might want kids someday but i dont think shes very interested in finding a partner to raise them with. i do have it in mind that boreal becomes a kindergarten teacher though! she loves kids and is very good with them, i just dont think she'd have any of her own.

leon definitely wants kids. he's a real teddy bear of a guy and he wants to be a dad someday, maybe even a stay at home dad if his future wife makes enough money to support the house on her own. he's dated on and off but nothing ever really worked out for him so far. he really really values family and would love to raise one on his own... he's kind of got other priorities right now that make dating hard, though haha. especially because his crush is an aromantic villain

dani i feel like also wants kids. my gut instinct was that she would not want kids but i think... not biological kids, probably, maybe? but she wouldnt be opposed to, when shes a lot older, having a kid or two of her own. i will say that currently its probably one of the LAST things on her mind, she doesnt even know what college she's gonna go to, much less what her romantic prospects are.

brendan (the dad-aged hero i havent formally introduced you to yet) probably WANTED kids but was never able to settle down due to his hero duties coming first. i think he probably still wants to have a family someday but its looking less and less likely the older he gets. dont worry dude, youll find someone someday

maia (dani's best friend who i also havent formally introduced you to yet) also wants kids someday. it actually is something thats been on her mind despite being a teenager, she's very grounded and the "plan ahead" type and shes already thinking about what she'll need to do if she wants to raise a family someday... girl its alright you can relax. you dont even have a girlfriend yet

I was wondering how it would be like for yoosung and mc if mc was allergic to animals. More specifically cats and dogs (since thats what he deals the most with in his job). I feel very curious thinking about this. And ofc its like after he starts working as a vet

Hmm, it would be something for you two to discuss for sure! Allergies can vary from very mild to very severe in terms of how they effects you... Your health and overall well-being is Yoosung's top priority. He might make fun of Zen sometimes for his allergy, but I can't see him doing that to you. (which Zen will quickly pick up on and call him out on it in the next chatroom lol)

I believe the first time you'll have a conversation about this would be when he decides to adopt Lisa. Of course, it all depends on how severe your allergy is. But, if we're talking about a scenario where you two decide to make it work with Lisa in the picture, it will take a lot of teamwork!

Your allergy won't be a huge issue during the first few months, or maybe even years of you two seeing each other, given that you don't live together. He will make sure to thoroughly wash his hands and clean his clothes of any cat hairs before going out to see you. Jaehee gives him a whole lot of tips on that! How helpful. Jumin is perplexed.

Still, it's not like your allergy gets ignored and brushed aside. Oh, no. Not in a million years. He might be a vet, but he's still in a medical profession, so your health concerns him very deeply.

You might say that it's fine, and that you can deal with it by yourself whenever you come over, but he won't have it. Yoosung is a dedicated man! He'll do his own research, maybe he'll even bring this issue up with his colleagues who have way more experience than him, once he starts working as a vet. Maybe he has someone who's in a similar situation with their resoective partner, who can give him some useful advice! You won't even notice every little thing he does for you until it hits you one moment. He never mentions the specifics, just that he'll do his best to make you as comfortable and safe as you can be.

Lisa will be carefully taught to not roam over the kitchen and bathroom counters, giving you a safe space to work with in case you need to cook something or go to the bathroom. Once you two move in into a bigger apartment, you'll have two bedrooms, one of which has a balcony and is prohibited from Lisa's visits. It also gives you a safe space to go to in case your allergies get especially bad. Having an opportunity to slip out onto the balcony to breathe some fresh air helps too. Vacuuming is essential, and both of you do it in your respectful parts of the apartment, with Yoosung covering Lisa's 'favorite' rooms to lounge in, while you're cleaning up the more fur-free spots from any stray cat hairs. Windows are often opened to make sure your living space is full of fresh air for you to feel comfortable.

Lisa doesn't get ignored in this predicament either! Don't worry, she gets lots of cuddles and attention from Yoosung to satisfy your needs. She even has a dedicated corner all for herself in your apartment! Full of toys, blankets and a big scratching post for her to enjoy. Depending on your allergy, you can pet her sometimes too! She's a member of the family, and she knows it.

Needless to say, you two get complimented on how your clean your apartment is every time someone comes over for a visit. Zen is especially pleased.

regarding the whole shelter thing etc, it sounds to me like they didn't have a lot of people interested in that dog (except for you at the start) and were keeping quiet on the whole reactivity thing just so the dog would be adopted, but as soon as someone more "professional/experienced" came along, they wanted to sound like they cared about the dog's best interest and stuff. idk, i might be wrong, probably am, but the way they handled this thing is fishy af.

i hope that you get another opportunity to get the dog that you're wishing for :)

maybe, i wouldn't call myself professional or experienced tho, just dedicated at most. this would've been me and my partner's first dog of our own, and a large shepherd dog at that so i understand turning us down on based on those things especially with reactivity mixed in.

i also do want to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they want to minimize the risk of the dog needing to be rehomed again if we couldn't handle her, but on the other hand that dog has been in a shelter for almost 2 years now (like you've said it seems either no other people have shown interest in adopting her, or that they got a similar experience as we did) and if she's truly reactive to other dogs that just sounds like a terribly stressful place to be, and i wouldn't be surprised if her behavior is at least in part caused by that environment (and potentially would improve outside of it, but that's not relevant now i guess).

wanting dogs to go to homes that can safely manage and care for them is good, but imo you have to wonder at what point does choosing to keep a dog in a shelter because of the risk of rehoming alone stops being the right thing to do. i dont know if we would've choosen to take her in or not while knowing about her reactivity but i sure would've appreciated being given a chance to decide on that or at least discuss it. and i think she should've gotten that chance as well.

and in the end i dont know if there's something fishy going on, if it was just an unfortunate communication mishap from well meaning people, or if there's a more serious issue going on, but either way it definitely wasn't pleasant and a lot of it could've been avoided easily. so its pretty frustrating but the best i can do is move on from it and learn what i can from the experience i guess.

He had just left a very bad relationship and was having some issues, and he had very loving parents... and he instead chose to move out without a plan, ended up on the street... and that show he ended up in Daunte's lab and eventually became a demon...

☆ - happy headcanon - One of Aziphem's favorite places is Death Valley National Park! He never visited in life but as a demon, he hid out there for a few years after escaping Nekcra! (Most) of the DD classes ranked from most to least: how well they get along with children

ive got too much spare time with my own thoughts and i thought itd be a fun thing to think about.

1. Houndmaster: the kids looove his dog, and she appreciates the attention too. HM himself is also very kind and welcoming to the children, but they usually just want to see Fergus do some tricks

2. Vestal: The most mother figure of the team, despite being inexperienced as a parental figure, will sing songs and read stories to the kids, and they love her calm and soothing voice.

3. Jester: a good entertainer for both young and old, he loves the attention and innocent laughter paid for a good play, and is more than ready to bust out a tune on his lute for those willing to listen. And kids are very easy to manage with a catchy melody.

4. Crusader: what can i say, kids are easily impressed by cool and shiny armor, and with a sword like that, who can blame them for running up to him with burning excitement? The crusader himself sees no issue with giving them inspiring speeches, as a good leader does, and his audience tends to approve of his dedication. A good role model for any hero, so long as they dont adopt his kleptomanic tendencies.

5. Man At Arms: About the most definition you could get for a gentle giant, hes not quite used to dealing with the youngest folk, but how could he resist all those starry eyed glances and questions about him (and his sick eyepatch?) He’ll leave out the rougher details, of course, but hes quite good at retelling stories of his past.

6. Leper: Despite his quiet and calm demeanor, most children may still be a bit hesitant to get close to him. Not that he minds, of course, but should one still approach him out of curiosity, he always has a handful of poems ready to recall, or simply watch in amusement as more spirited kids desperately attempt to get a hold of his blade.

7. Plague Doctor: She adores their curiosity, as much as the children are willing to approach. PD is actually a lot more kind than she lets on sometimes, but best not to leave her around the kids too long, or youll find one of them splashing in suspicious green liquids. for science, of course.

8. Antiquarian: pretty robes, shiny trinkets... its an obvious understanding why children may find interest in her. her timid and rather harmless appearance also helps, and shes more than willing to tell her little audience more about her trade, though unfortunately they only seem bored by those details, and shes not too enthusiastic about them trying to rummage through her pockets in the meantime. Just ah... keep the censer away from them. who knows whats in that thing.

9. Arbalest: Maybe its jealousy, but any time she looks at a young kid, running around without a care in the world, she cant help but feel a little bit of dislike towards them. Her crossbow having been her only companion through most her lifetime, shes not all that good when it comes to dealing with the little ones, but she tries her best to treat them with kindness.

10. Grave Robber: she would definitely give them knives to play with. shes not very good at entertaining children, but everyone loves knives, right? And its only a matter of time before she finds out how often she can endure the question: “are you a witch?” before snapping.

11. Highwayman: the wine uncle. Hes passive towards children but prefers not to have them around for too long, gently shooing them away if one does happen to stumble up to him, or distract them with a shiny coin if need be.

12. Hellion: her bloodlust and wild enthusiasm is probably not quite the best influence for the younger folk, and her loud ramblings about bloodshed tend to be pretty intimidating.

13. Occultist: sacrificial rituals and the seeking of the void are thing the unexperienced should stay away from, young or old. the occultist shows no interest in children as much they know to stay away from him. its better this way for both parties.

14. Bounty Hunter: Despite his gruff and less than welcoming appearance... he also is just exactly that. He’s not usually all too fond of children, and they quickly learn not to disrupt him either. Nothing personal.

15. Abomination: usually just scares the kids off before he even has a chance to look, but he’s used to it, so its okay.

16. Flagellant: ...I’m not sure if i actually need to elaborate here.

There have been outdoor cats in Europe since before the USA was invented, and yet Americans still cannot wrap their minds around the concept. Every time it comes up people lose their minds. I've had death threats for talking about it, people hoping my cat dies, people saying that they would steal my cat if they saw it outside so that they could keep it safe indoors (where it, as an outdoor cat, would be miserable).

It's a cultural difference. Americans think that Fahrenheit is a better system of measurement, that it makes more sense to spell colourise colorize, that it's stupid to pronounce Tuesday other than like Twosday - and, having never been in a situation where they aren't the overwhelming majority or their cultural norms hold sway, there's a tendency to start believing that's objective truth.

Tumblr is a place in America, and those norms dominate here too. From my own sorry experience, and from other observations, there's a tendency for that majority to lash out at anyone who dares to challenge that consensus, coming from a place where things are done differently. But they aren't some sort of deviant - they're just doing what is normal for their culture.

I know Americans are disadvantaged in this sense, being citizens of a vast and dominant empire, with little reason, need or ability to travel abroad, consume foreign media, or participate in largely overseas communities, in the way that other nations do. That's why we see that sort of senseless and unhinged reaction to completely normal behaviour; their cultural practices are so ingrained, so ubiquitous in their lives, that they cannot comprehend that maybe other places are different. Different comes across as Wrong.

In this case, cats are independent, intelligent animals who were first domesticated about 9,500 years ago. They have voluntarily lived amongst humans, freely roaming outside, all of that time up to the present day, with the exception of some countries where in the last minute or so it has become the norm for them to be kept inside. This is primarily the case in colonial countries, where cats have been recently imported as an invasive species and pose a threat to native wildlife. That is not the case for the UK, where outdoor cats have been kept since Roman times.

There has been absolutely no problem is keeping cats outdoors in that time. They require much less micromanagement than dogs, being able to keep themselves clean, take themselves for walks, go to the toilet discretely and bury the mess. However, they need a lot of stimulation, both in terms of physical exercise (including the opportunity to jump and climb, as their bodies are primed to do), and mentally (being intelligent and curious, they need to keep their minds engaged and love to explore new areas and sniff around like dogs do).

This can all be more or less replaced for an indoor cat, if you provide regular supervised outdoor access and sufficient indoor enrichment, including furniture they can clamber over, scratching posts, toys, and a lot of attention. It's still probably not what the cat would prefer, suppressing their instincts to do their business somewhere hidden away from home, to spray their scent, to explore their surroundings - and to do all this at night, when their carers are likely asleep.

Without careful management, cats can develop a wide variety of psychological issues. They can become depressed due to a lack of stimuli, especially being shut in a smaller part of the house, alone, at the time when they are naturally most alert and active, and become sluggish and overweight due to lack of energy and exercise. They can develop stress and anxiety problems if they feel trapped in the house, and not free to step outside if they sense danger or just need some space, as we all do from time to time.

All UK based animal charities will tell you this - hence the restriction on adopting a cat where you are not adequately able to give this naturally outdoor animal, which retains all of its instincts and needs, what it needs to be happy. Of course, US charities will probably say the opposite, because their culture and background is different. There is the concern about invasive species, towns and cities are more dominated by roads, there are dangerous wild animals, and so on.

It's a cultural difference, which I think most people in the UK would accept. Personally, I think that there are pros and cons to both approaches, and it can definitely depend on your home and where you live. But it's weird to see indoor cat absolutists absolutely losing their minds that anybody could do things the other way, the way that came first, the way that you and your cat's ancestors arranged things quite happily before they got on a boat and headed off to colonise somewhere, which then required the rules to change.

These are people who are ostensibly concerned with animal welfare, and will likewise rail against zoos where larger cats are kept in monotonous, limited enclosures, observing their sluggish or erratic behaviour as evidence of stress or depression, before posting about how their idiot fat cat (affectionate) hasn't moved all day, or how clingy and vocal their cat is in greeting them in the morning (having been left alone and bored all night), or pissed in the corner and scratched up the couch and so on.

It can be managed, it's fine, but it's wild to think that it's the only option. About a quarter of adults in the UK own a cat, and they are allowed out at night to stretch their legs and stimulate their minds and spray their territory and do their business with dignity, rather than being made to squat over a plastic tray (there are also posts mocking cats for trying to be all proud but knowing that they shit in a box, when you are the one who forced a wild animal to do that when they would rather not - you are the one who took some of their pride and freedom and independence away to make co-habitation work!).

Most houses have a flap in the door so that cats are free to come and go as they please. You know how cats hate a closed door? They can rest easy, knowing there is always an escape route. They are microchipped and immunised. It's magical having a furry friend that you know chooses to live with you (and possibly the only strictly ethical form of pet ownership, in a real speciesism framework). It's magical that I can walk to work and be greeted by friendly, happy, healthy neighbourhood cats all the way.

People here have been doing this for centuries and it's completely normal and fine. The environment survives, having had cats as part of its ecosystem for countless generations (and removing them now could cause more of a problem). The cats usually survive to a good old age, and are smart enough to avoid danger once they're a year or so old.

Yes, there are risks. As I said, there are pros and cons to both approaches (and indoor life has other risks for the cat's wellbeing which can be managed, but probably aren't in a large number of cases), and it can depend on your circumstances. For some people, living next to a busy road, I wouldn't advise it, and I understand that shelters have measures to stop you putting a cat in a dangerous situation. But for most, it works, and humans and cats are perfectly happy together.

Doll- The third. True Gremlin. Can't sit still for long. Keeps collecting animals (currently has 3 snakes and a coyote). Will accidentally destroy most tech probably (Pre incident he was more toned down and curious about everything… his sense of wonder was ruined from the incident).

PP- A sad baby. Very clingy at the moment. Will be a spoiled brat.

MCRaR- Feral and frustrated. Very attached to Sun. Can't speak English so can't really communicate with reader. A bit isolated due to being (mostly) water bound.

BL- (Previously known as Solar) A mess. Sometimes he is mischievous and fun… other times he is giggling non stop and just torn someone's limbs off. other other times he is a sobbing mess because he can't control himself. Good dad ("Do as I say, not as I do"), very protective. Kind of controlling (mostly to protect people from himself). Decent mechanic (built BM). Doesn't like the endos.

Mega Angst Naga thing- Hella traumatized. VERY controlling. Very possessive. Can get very aggressive. Lunar is basically his self control teddy bear. Probably cries himself to sleep a lot, if he sleeps at all. Major trust issues. Partially deaf. Will have a meltdown if he learns he hurt someone close to him ("oh god, I'm just like my abuser"). Definitely needs therapy

BL- Glitch's brother and previous partner at the daycare. Quiet time/naptime attendant (1st nap). Soft boi. Worries a lot. Excitable. Probably a crybaby. Possessive of anything relating to Solar Glitch after 'losing' him. Was anxious about Sun and Moon's arrival but he warms up very quickly.

Mega Angst Naga Thing- Was pushy in getting close with Glitch but also 'submissive' enough that he didn't 'threaten' Glitch. Codependent with Glitch, nearly starves himself when separated from Glitch. A people pleaser, will bend over backwards to conform to his chosen's needs. Glitch's pouch is his safe space. Also definitely needs therapy.

Mershark Attack AU- Was an orphan scavenger before becoming Glitch's taglong. Mostly self-sufficient. Small but quick. Is kind of a barnacle once Glitch 'adopts' him.

Blood Moon (BM/Scarlet)

BL- A lil shit but quiet? Technically programmed to be a child, he is also mature. Will kill for Glitch's honor. Adores Lunar. Likes Moon. On the fence about Sun (Kind of his dad's replacement). Cuddlebug.

YES!! YES!!!! So Bombus 'Buddy' is the journalist, they're chill in a contained anxiety way. and Autism way. They're a grumpus of very little words yet somehow everyone tends to let words spill out around them. Theyre just a comforting person to be around, they're always listening and while they'll have snarky remarks if you start it, its usually something that'll make you reflect on yourself and not close up. Bombus was planning their whole early life to be a veterinarian but something happened that made them spiral into journalism and taking a major career change. This helps when they go to snaktooth island. For their 'current' job they do mostly cryptozoology because its fun and people like it. Bombus likes conspiracies because they're fun to think about not because Bombus believes them- even if they've uncovered a few themselves. Bombus has like another pen name for more serious things they do stories on so they don't get their head blown off. Not that it would, but they're very paranoid about disappearing in the middle of the night. On the island of Snaktooth, Bombus is a little obsessive with documenting absolutely everything (mirroring my 100% playthrough lol). They have multiple journals and they regularly talk to Floofty and Triffany for the more science-y stuff. That's their professional journal though. The journal Beffica gave them is the original they lug around with them everyone and write field notes in along with the issues everyone else has. Because its habit at this point to write down everyone else's issues. Beffica is also a close friend of theirs honestly because Bombus loves loves to gossip and know things. Bombus just considers themselves friends with everyone on the island!! Maybe less so Cromdo but hes fun to get into arguments with about haggling and non existent money. Think around a week into their adventures on Bugsnax island they find a unique sort of Bugsnax based off the food Mousse. They don’t have any fun bugsnax name because theyre literally a mouse!! Which is what Bombus calls her, mostly because they didnt know how to pronounce ‘mousse’ before. Theyre a weird sort of bugsnax that genuinely struggles and will attack you if you try to eat it, and Bombus tends to talk to it like she can actually talk back. Mousse is always on or around Bombus and everyone else...is a little uncomfortable with it. Even Gramble. Mousse doesnt like gramble. Gramble doesnt like mousse. She fills him with dread. (This is based on how i had another person in the vc with me helping while I played bugsnax) Bigsnax and ending spoilers after this point btw

Bombus has always been a little paranoid, not as bad as Snorpy is but being an investigator as long as Bombus has will give you the kinda gut instinct that makes the rest of your normal life nerve wracking. When Bombus went to Broken tooth island and found that key in that cave it fucked them up. That shouldnt of been there. at all. It doesnt match the rest of the area in the slightest and the triangle scheme reminds them of the stupid grumpinati thing Snorpy talks about. Bombus doubts it was planted there, but when they find the triplicate space and the tapes it basically sets up what they do from there on out. They document every single fucking inch of that place. Taking books and the tapes and taking so many pictures their camera starts heating up. They also quickly capture Joey Quickbeans and adopt them as their own bugsnax pet along with Mousse. Mostly cause they want to return them to Alegander? Or as like...’plz dont kill me im holding ur dog hostage’ When they leave Snaktooth they take a Small Detour from helping everyone not die to save all of their research, which they’ve painstakingly taken the time to put into easy to transport journals and tapes thank fuck, so it only takes quickly putting it on and bolting. Everyones also very mad when they hear Mousse. Because they just learned Bugsnax are parasites and suck. Bombus Also has Joey and Sprout in their bag but the others don’t know about it. I like to think a year or two after snaktooth Bombus talks to gramble and mentions Sprout to see if maybe he’d want them back. (He...thinks on it. He might. Hes conflicted. Also a little mad Bombus brought it but also grateful?) The next step of their story is research the Triplicate, Snakolytes and find Alegander. And get distracted for a bit doing a favour and trying to clear Snorpy and Floofty’s names. Skimming over the romance with Floofty cause while I like it, it may not be everyones cup of tea so ill probably talk about it in other posts :-) I am planning on making a fic for it though!!

Prior interests, easy solutions:

Ive read in posts that Anduin has shown interest in girls before (like a gnome and a dwarf) and a human girl named Tess, if Im not mistaken. And while this hints at a preference, its not really relevant, as he is a teen, and teens easily develop crushes. (even if he didnt show interests in boys before, maybe he just didnt find anyone interesting enough, or developed this preference later, could be anything) This doesnt even have to be redconnd

Either treat it as it was, random crushes of a teenager, or (Im not sure on the details but Im pretty sure his mom is dead) him seeing his mother in those girls, only realizing this later (mommy issues). Im not even sure what happened to those interests, I think those were from a book, which is already to be taken with a grain of salt unless it is actively in the game (at least in my opinion) I think Tess is in the game, what happened to her? 

In any case, instead of making a drama out of it, with jealousy and hurt, it could easily lead to infinitely more interesting story arcs. (one of which Ill probably elaborate in another post)

Age gap. Homo bad, hetero good?

Wrathions age is awkward. I dont know the details but from what I could gather from posts he is 2 to 5 years old. Im also not sure if dragon aging has ever been explained in game.

Which doesnt really matter because Blizzard decided to not only give this whelp an adult human avatar, he also has the wits and behaviours (as far as I can tell) of an adult. While one can disregard the human avatar, since, from what I can tell, they choose their form, so he could just choose to look adult to not be treated like a child, he is way too smart and knowledgeable for a toddler.

Huge age gaps especially when a minor is involved is a bad thing, but in this case its between a dragon whelp and a teenage human boy. Both relatively young, plus the unclear aging of dragons. One could try to explain it like dog to human years, if you will. 2 dog years are 14 human years, which would make a 2 year old dog and a 14 year old human the same age. Then you could argue that dragons live a  long ass time though so why would they  grow up so fast, to which you could point to long living beings like turtles. Nature (especially in a fantasy environment) can be whatever really.

Imo, it does work, I do understand though when people reject this ship because of the confusing age gap.

But while I understand why,  I also  doubt this would be much of an issue if one of the characters were a female, seeing as loli relations are rather popular and weirdly tolerated.

Male friendships in peril:

An argument Ive read a lot, not only about this ship but any gay ship in any media, is, that the people who want representation, are trying to erase male friendships.

To that I say, where?

With thousands upon thousands upon millions upon billions of media, to this day moving forward, that involve two men being hetero friends, people dare claim that male friendships are being erased, while happily erasing possible platonic relationships between girls and boys because girls and boys cannot coexist without instantly falling in love and fucking. Friendship erasure seems to really only be an issue when its gay.

With hundreds of characters, main and background, being straight, you decide to have a temper tantrum about 2 (two!) characters possible being gay for eachother.

To which people may counter „Buts its a king and a prince! They cant be gay! They need heirs!“

Which leads me to my next point.

The scandal of a homo relationship and the need of an heir (and easy solutions):

There are many possibilites to make this work, especially in a fantasy setting.

Leaning on reality, we have adoption, which is less favourable since its not their own blood.

Or surrogacy, like many homosexual pairings like to do in for example India. Gay and lesbian couples come together to make children while still enjoying their freedom to be with the person they love.

Advanced science. At some point humanity will reach a scientific level where they can make artificial children in artifical wombs, with sperm and eggs they make out of the dna of you and your partner.

Which can easily be translated into a fantasy setting, that not only has magic but also uses science, like in WoW.

And finally, magic.

Having children only ever seems to be a problem when it comes to gays.

You cant deny homosexal pairings their biological children while at the same time being ok with human females being dicked down by various creatures, creating humanX hybrids.

We cant even crossbreed with other primates.

Those humanX hybrids also only work with either magic, or science (dna adapting mutations and the like).

In a world where human(or other)X hybrids exist, people use portals, people turn into bears, birds cats, a world with spirits and all kind of magical creatures, beings, monsters, environments, two gays having biological children is an absolute none-issue.

Reminds me of the adventure time drama, where people complained, that lesbians cant have eachothers kids. In a world with all kinds of magical impossibilites going on, this is the hill some people want to die on.

Another example, Steven universe. A gem forming a womb out of light, and giving birth to a human gem hybrid is widely accepted. Because why not, its fantasy science.

So why not give gays the same acceptance.

Is race/species relevant?

A minor point I just wanted to mention. For some antishippers race/species may be an issue in this ship.

The human king of Stormwind marrying another race/species. Would that be a problem?

A scandal perhaps, and it wouldnt be easy, but it would help race relations in the long run imo.

Besides, this is somehow only an issue when its two guys.

I think its pretty safe to say if one of them was a girl it would be deemed a romantic tragedy and theyd be rooted for.

Another point I briefly want to touch upon is where people argue that the existence of the characters on their own is being neglected. Both characters on their own are interesting, but its the dynamic they have together that is much more intriguing, they compliment eachother, and its cute.

I just wanted to vent a little about this.

Where do you come down on the whole "closed species" issue? Like, do you think that's valid to assert?

it honestly depends on how good the species is. ive seen so many "closed species" that are just "its a cat but with wings" or "its like a mix of these animals" or "its a dog themed around x" and its just stupid as fuck. you dont own the concept of cats with wings, you dont own hybrid species, you dont own dogs combined with sushi or fauns wearing stockings, and the fact that those concepts are "closed" is absurd to me. like. i think that if an 8 y/o could independently come up with the concept, then it shouldnt be closed.

some species that are a little more unique though, like if they have lore and anatomy not based on an already existing thing, or are differentiated enough from their inspiration to not look like that thing, those are a bit different. i think it is totally understandable to not want other people to use that species commercially. i cant start putting yoshis in my scifi graphic novel and sell merch of them bc i do not own yoshis. however i think too many closed species mods want total and complete control over personal use of those species as well. if you make a design, and sell it to someone who pays money for it, then sorry man but you no longer own that design. you sold it. its not yours anymore. you cannot control what that person uses it for, and it's ridiculous to expect otherwise. you can be pissed off about it all you want but it doesnt matter. also i think that people get way too fucking mad about people creating characters outside of the official ones like get a life lol. let them have fun. youre already selling adoptables for 300 dollars why do you care so much that some 14 y/o without access to Internet Money wants to participate. you should be proud you made something so desirable.

sidenote i also hate wen ppls closed species have so many different rare traits and variants and crap that 2 of the same species end up looking completely different anatomically like thats just not a good species sorry. if one character has a short snout and big giant claws and wings and another character has a long snout and no claws and a fish tail and these 2 characters are supposed to be the same species then i think maybe thats not a good species. if a species can look liek literally anything then its not really a "species" is it. "trait rarity" is not the same thing as "anatomy guidelines" there needs to be limits

Everyone Has A Secret Legacy

Everyone has a secret, Right?

Welcome! this is a legacy I wrote by myself and I have not play tested it so if there are any issues feel free to modify it or message me and I will change it. The generations are sort of inspired by the not so berry challenge but they are still there own thing. Each generation has their own secret that you must complete, these secrets range from killing someone to getting married in secret.

If there is a gen that requires a pack you don’t have then feel free to improvise

Basic Rules: these rules are required for you to follow but if ignoring these rules make the challenge more fun for you then by all means please do so! Some gens have a child recommendation you do not have to follow the recommendation but if a gen says you have to have a certain amount then that’s the amount you have to have

Money cheats are not aloud unless stated otherwise

Any adopted children cannot become heir

each gen has a recommended amount of children you should have but unless stated otherwise you can have as many as you want 

Complete all aspirations and max all careers unless stated otherwise

Every heir Must represent the color of there generation, this includes outfits, hair, eyes, and houses you however do not have to make there skin match the generation unless you want too of course

You do not have to color coordinate your spouse or children only the heir is required, I encourage you to keep the heir as the only colorful ones but its up to you

It does not matter how you chose who will be the next heir, personally I choose the best looking sim for it

You must complete every generations secret the secrets have the word secret next to it, for anyone confused it will look something like this, (Secret) you should follow my twitter

You may live in any world unless stated otherwise   

Your heirs may be any gender but for this I used feminine terms to make it easier on my self

Every heir must live in a different world then they were raised in

Lastly but defiantly the most important, have fun!

Generation 1- Tradition is best (Green) (for this generation I recommend using the extreme violence mod if you can't download mods then you could use the testing cheats enabled to kill your sim)

All your life you wanted a perfect family, you wanted to get married young, then have children, and maybe even adopt a pet. You find your soulmate through work you try to flirt but they aren't receptive to it and you don't know why. Turns out they are married! How rude of them don't they know you're perfect for each other! This sim is perfect for you and you would do anything for them, you would also do anything to have them... and I mean ANYTHING, even if that means killing the one they love.

Traits: Jealous/Evil/Paranoid Aspiration: Soulmate Career: Secret Agent-Diamond Branch Child Recommendation: 2

Rules:

Meet your soulmate through work (soulmate must be married you can force them to marry someone using mc command center)

(Secret)Murder your soulmates spouse and never get caught

Comfort your soulmate and use there weakness to get closer to them, remember they HAVE to be yours

Marry your soulmate

Become best friends with your soulmate

after marriage have at least 2 kids

adopt at least one dog

Have a negative relationship with everyone your soulmate is friends with, this excludes anyone in your household Become good friends with every child except the next heir

Meet another mother and set up an arranged marriage between her child and the next heir (I recommend this mod for the arranged marriage https://www.patreon.com/posts/61538738) 

                                    Generation 2- Finally free (pink)

All your life your mother was constantly pushing you to get to know her friends child and any time you tried to get out of it she would tell you to "stop being rude their your future spouse" you never knew what she meant by this until you became a teenager when your mother took you to shop for wedding dresses where she revealed to you that they arranged a wedding for you and her friends child. Not wanting to disrespect your parents you married them the day you became a young adult and you to moved into a small family sized house in Newcrest, even though your mother said you should be happy you couldn’t help but wish you were still single, everything was horrible, your spouse wouldn’t let you work other than odd jobs here and there, and they hated pets but your dream was to have a kitten. Unfortunately for you your spouse wanted a baby so they pestered you for days until you agreed to have a baby. While you were in your second trimester you had a late night odd job to do, but when you returned home you caught your spouse in bed with another sim! You ran away receiving a loan from the bank of 10000 simoleons you bought a small one bed one bath house and divorced your now ex.

Traits: Non-Committal/Romantic/Out-going Aspiration: Serial Romantic Career: Social Media-Internet personality branch Child Recommendation: you may only have one

Rules:

as a child meet your moms friend's child and befriend them

Marry your moms friend’s child when you age up into a young adult

get pregnant with one baby by your spouse

catch your spouse cheating when your in your second trimester

divorce your spouse then move out with 10,000 simoleons(you may cheat for this)

you may only live in a one bed one bath house till your baby ages into a child

Pay back your loan to the bank

max video gaming/programing/media production skills

complete aspiration but you don’t have to max career

Secret- when your child is a young adult, secretly marry your partner but never tell anyone

Generation 3- Going with the flow (White)

You grew up just you and your mother, life was very boring but this is all you know so you just went with it. Switching into young adult hood you realized something you REALLY loved grilled cheese and space So after this midnight awakening you set out leaving your childhood home to move to oasis springs to find the stars.

Traits: Geek/Loner/Ambitious Aspiration: Grilled Cheese (eat three grilled cheese in a row to unlock) Career: Astronaut Child Recommendation: 2

Rules:

Move to oasis springs after becoming a teen

master handiness/cooking/rocket science skills

build and fully upgrade a rocket

fall in love with another astronaut

Secret- even though you love space you hate aliens, have a fully negative relationship with three aliens

serve grilled cheese 6 out of 7 days every week

enter the secret lot in oasis springs

complete the space rock collection

Generation 4-walking contradiction (purple) 

After growing up watching your mother devour grilled cheeses and having them for dinner multiple nights in a row you just can't stand the taste of dairy, nor can your stomach. You've also always been a bit weary of doing dishes, and taking out the trash, But besides your hatred of dairy and inability to take out the trash you LOVE the outdoors and want to know everything about it, Contradicting much?

Traits: Squeamish/Lactose Intolerant/Loves Outdoors Aspiration: Outdoor Enthusiast Career: Gardener-Botanist Branch Child Recommendation: 3

Rules:

Max gardening/herbalism/fishing skills

Take a vacation to granite falls at least 10 times over the course of your life, you can only start doing this once you hit adulthood

Meet the hermit and fall in love with them 

Anytime you travel you must take your whole family unless they are at work/school

Secret- even though you say your an amazing gardener you kill every plant you touch so you hire a gardener to take care of your plants and lie to your spouse about the money missing

Generation 5- The ultimate athlete (red)

Growing up being in granite falls for most of your life its only natural that you are athletic but this natural athleticism comes a bit of cockiness and competitiveness, you cant help it but others hate it. After growing tired of the outdoor life you decided to pack up and move to Windenburg where your athletic abilities can flourish.

Traits: Athletic/Hot Headed/Bro Aspiration: Body Builder Career: Athlete- Body Builder Branch Child Recommendation: 3

Rules:

Max fitness/wellness skills

never date until you’re a young adult 

move to windenburg after becoming a young adult and stay there for the rest of your life(you may move lots just not worlds)

anytime someone beats you in a game you must lash out on them

Secret- you hate to admit it but sometimes you are wrong, and when you find yourself being yelled at by your partner because you hit them after they beat you in your favorite game don’t wake the llama, you do everything you can to make them quite, you try apologizing and bribing but nothing works and they divorce you and your kids leave you except the next heir. 

Generation 6- Music makes you loose control (Blue)

After your parents tragic divorce you find comfort in music, you start learning to play violin then when you become a teen you move to guitar, then finally moving to piano when you become a young adult. you love music so much that when you were a child you created a club of other music lovers. You love the thought of life as an entertainer and have your mind set on becoming the best musician possible

Traits: Music Lover/Insider/Dance Machine Aspiration: Musical Genius Career: Entertainer-Musician Branch Child Recommendation: 4

Rules:

Make a music lovers club as a child after your parents divorce, every sim in this club must stay in it until they die

Max violin/guitar/piano skills

become best friends with all your club members

when you are a second club with sims who love comedy 

fall in love with a sim who is in your comedy club

Secret- you can’t help but love all of your comedy club members...no really you LOVE your club members, when you and your spouse are married you decide to secretly start a relationship with all comedy club members with nobody knowing about it

make your next heir have the positive manners character value but the negative empathy character value

Generation 7- More than one personality (Yellow) 

Ever since the day you were born your emotions have been all over the place, one minuet you'll be having a happy moment with your sibling and the next you'll be yelling at them to leave you alone. Nobody really understood you except your bestfriend whom you met in elementary school, when you explained your problems to them they told you to join the drama club which you did, and realized you loved acting and its the only thing that  made you feel whole.

Traits: Erratic/Self-Absorbed/High Maintenance Aspiration: World Famous Celebrity Career: Actor-at least level three Child Recommendation: 2 not including the affair baby

Rules:

Max acting and singing skill

become a 5 star celebrity by the time your an elder

marry your bestfriend when you become a 2 star celebrity

Secret-your happy in life until a very hot co-worker starts making moves on you, being the crazy sim you are you feed into their advancements and have a onetime affair that you immediately regret when you find out your pregnant from the affair, you managed to trick your partner into thinking its their baby but you fear that your kids may know (spoiler alert, they do)

Obtain at least one award

Generation 8- A life of crime (Black)

Growing up you never understood why your siblings never included you, you were so angry at their actions that you started to act out, you would go around town at night stealing from other sims and drinking. When your mother found you in your room drunk with a bag full of stolen items she gets angry revealing on accident that you father isn’t really your father and she regrets having you, this upsetting you, you decide to run away and not look back.

Traits: Kleptomaniac/Self-Assured/Lazy Aspiration: Public Enemy Career: Criminal- Boss Branch Child Recommendation: have twins and only those two

Rules:

When your a teen get into an argument with your mother after coming home drunk and runaway the next night to a needs tlc apartment and stay their for the rest of your life

steal at least one item once a week

fall in love with your boss when your a young adult, this sim must be an adult 

Complete the poster and snow globe collection

Secret-although you love stealing you cant help but feel guilty after you helped your spouse rob their dead beat elderly dad when you needed money for the bills, so without the knowledge of your family you send your spouses father 100 simoleons a week until they pass

Generation 9- Living Lavish (Grey)

Growing up in an unstable home with almost everything constantly breaking you cant help but yearn for a large well maintained child free home but of course you don't always get what you want. so instead of your large child free home you ended up with a small 3 bedroom home with an accident child and nobody to help raise them you have no choice but to stay at home instead of partying until you can find a babysitter for your unplanned child.

Traits: Hates Children/Snob/Materialistic Aspiration: Mansion Baron(don’t have to complete) Career: Politician- Politician Child Recommendation: 1 from random hookup and another from the nanny

Rules:

Move out of your parents apartment with 25000 simoleons when you become a young adult(you may cheat for the money if your sims don’t have it)

Party almost every night and woohoo with 5 different sims

get pregnant with 1 baby from a random hookup

Quit partying until you meet a nanny that will move in with you permanently and watch your child

have a complete negative relationship with your child

have a shelf in your house with 5 VIP buckets that you get from gold level dates

Secret-woohoo with your nanny and get pregnant with one baby, fire them when you find out they have been trashing you to everyone behind your back(can’t have your “perfect” reputation being ruined now can you)

Generation 10-The Best Of The Best... Or So You Thought (Orange)

After never having a good relationship with your mother growing up and not knowing your father you confided in the nanny your mother hired and became very close, they were like a second parent until your mother fired them when you were a child for unknown reasons, but when you got older you put the pieces together after realizing your mother announced she was having your sibling right after the nanny left. you continued to resent your mother for removing the only parent figure you had you swore to never neglect your kids like she neglected you. As an adult your everything your mother wanted to be and more, your loved by everyone, have a great job, loving spouse, straight A kids, a not to mention your filthy rich. homework anon here, i have one more question for now: in your opinion, why is it worth it to spend the time and effort getting aggressive dogs to be trained and adopted when the time and resources could go to (i infer) multiple other less aggressive dogs? I feel like it is the lesser evil for shelters to euthanize the most troublesome dogs and use their resources to get more dogs in loving homes

if we chose to euthanize all our aggressive/problematic dogs - we would be left with a handful of dogs compared to the nearly 200 we have right now.

the sad reality is that a lot of these dogs are aggressive due to the trauma they have been through, and without doxxing myself - i live in eastern europe, animal welfare here is horrendous, every day is another nightmare.

from our experience, even the most aggressive dog's life can be turned around - a lot of our aggressive rescues have moved to houses where they are safe, loved, and secure. their needs are met, they are getting the necessary training. this organisation has been around for more than 15 years - ive been involved in the past 3 something of that

just recently, one of our aggressive bully mixes was adopted by a van-life traveler who will take him to many many adventures and give him the best possible life. how can we choose to put them to sleep if examples like this happen?

and i know we focus on aggression as the main behavioral issue but there are, if i dare say, worse behavioral issues - resource guarding and separation anxiety in my opinion being the top two before aggression. so how do we pick which issue is worth keeping alive for and is bad enough for euthanasia? i would prefer a dog aggressive rescue over a resource guarding one or a separation anxiety one - this is entirely my opinion based on my experience with my own fosters.

its hard, and yeah maybe we can rescue more dogs if all the aggressive ones have been put to sleep - but when i send my yearly check in email to the adopters of my very reactive foster dog and see him happy, healthy, and thriving in his forever home, after nearly witnessing him dying in my arms - it makes all the pain, all the money, all the tears, long nights, vet visits, cancelled social plans, you name it - so so worth it.
