naruto in that waterfall scene truly was like. the villagers have shunned me all my life and now they love me but its all fake cuz they just love me for what i have done to protect the village i HATE those fuckers, they can shove their autograph requests up their dumb asses and then he is like. well i got the solution. to solve all this hatred. to dissolve it and cure it. i'll just keep trying to become who they want me to be, if i manage to be the person THEY want me to be, they will love me and i'll keep their approval. this is the solution to all my problems ^_^ and then he like, hugs his dark self and it dissolves and the whole thing is done its like sfdfdgdgfs. okay, way to repress ur own feelings and do the exact same thing that youve already Been doing all ur life so far LOL. literally victim-blaming ur own self for what others have put u thru but alright. 👍

It is of my opinion that Eddie would actually have a killer falsetto which Steve discovers when he walks into the trailer kitchen to find eddie singing along to the radio playing you make me feel like dancing while waltzing (surprisingly well) with an upside down mop

I've decided the only reason Lloyd, known descendant of dragons, didn't tell this to Egalt, who refuses to train non-dragons, is for the same reason he never mentioned he's the First Spinjitsu Master's grandson. It just never came up. Nobody asked him directly about it. And besides, he's only like, one-fourth dragon, so does it really count? He doesn't look like a dragon, and he has never in his life considered himself a dragon. Mentioning his ancestry to Egalt probably would've just made him look like some hotshot, or make him more annoyed. There's no need to bring up such a silly little fact. He's sure it won't be important later.

While I do think the internet has the unique opportunity to amplify brain-poisoning, I wish discourse wasn’t so heavily split into “online vs irl” when it’s much more an issue of…exclusionary politics and idpol hierarchy brainrot.
“This doesn’t happen offline” the problem is, it does. Because people who captain themselves the arbiter of validity on tumblr dot org are possibly also going to be a self-righteous dorkass at your DEI training, or when organizing lesbian night at the bar, or being president of a queer org on campus, or running LGBT orgs people rely on for survival. Many of the most exclusionary queer spaces were made offline first. Offline spaces organized by young folks from online spaces with no grasp of offline history are going to be just as rife with “terminally online” takes as any website.
Your local steel mill line is both likely to be violently homophobic out of bigoted ignorance AND supremely immune to microidentity politics because it means absolutely nothing to Joe Factory, who will shrug and go “hey man whatever makes you happy.”
Your liberal arts college is both likely to be aware of the niche politics of queer identity and will have heard of and be welcoming to your set of neopronouns AND will find new and cruel ways to be bigoted while smiling in your face because their flavor of queer is celebrated by the city mayor and so LGBT-phobia (please don’t say q***r) ended with marriage equality.
LGBT community that refuses intersectional lenses will always be rife with bigotry, both directed at minorities within this space and indirectly hitting people they think belong (ie assigning masculinity to Black queer women due to racism but then also exhibiting butchphobia/antimasculism at all masculine women, man-hating directed at cis men to “punch up” being weaponized against trans folks, etc)
Cishet society is still not safe for LGBT people, but has gotten better in some areas and worse in others as visibility has increased. Which means micro-infighting potentially is a non-issue in a space that is tolerant to other (more visible) forms of queerness, AND if there is a problem there with family friendly gays and lesbians then they will absolutely take issue with polyam genderfluid aces.
“In real life” has near nothing to do with it. If your space, online or in real life, is neither radically intentionally inclusive or tolerantly indifferent it’s gonna be bigoted—intentionally or not, queer or not.

high chaos emily is so juicy, ESPECIALLY if corvo was low chaos in dishonored 1. high chaos corvo to high chaos emily—we can see a direct through line. emily draws a picture of corvo’s assassin mask. she makes the comment that if corvo didn’t kill all the usurpers, she would have had them killed. it’s generally a “worse” ending and we can easily see how high chaos emily came to be.
but LOW chaos corvo to high chaos emily? delicious to think about. emily isn’t following the example of her father. in fact, given everything we know about jessamine and the comment she makes when she’s released from the heart (something about how emily has become everything jessamine was against) emily isn’t following either of her parents’ examples.
this isn’t to say that high chaos emily doesn’t make sense in terms of the character or story. it does! emily is ten when her mother is killed in front of her, she gets kidnapped, rescued, only to get kidnapped again and held hostage. and then fifteen years later it’s happening again! her father is taken from her and her friend is killed and she’s been overthrown. she has not only a motive but the means (thanks to the outsider) to carve through everyone that gets in her way.
but. imagine what happens after the game. what happens when corvo, who executed an entirely bloodless campaign, wakes up and finds emily the vengeful? what happens when emily, whose mother’s last words were of disapproval, has to face her father?

wesley drakos for @wrixie's cherishing cherry bachelorette challenge !!
I absolutely fell in love with cherry the moment I saw her so I knew I had to make a sim for this!
Wesley grew up in Copperdale and ever since he was a child he knew he wanted to be a rockstar. He didn't know how he would even start but he knew he loved music more than (almost) anything. (nothing could come between him and Ivory) He's not quite famous yet but he plays shows here and there at local places and absolutely loves it...but there's just something missing in his life. Wes was in a long-term relationship throughout and a bit after high school but after they broke it off he hasn't had any love in his life, at least not the romantic kind. Hopefully some day he'll fall in love again...

just an extra pic of him cause he's cute 😌

A small headcanon:
That Powerloader actually does have a proper hero costume with a shirt made of actual protective material.
BUT he doesn’t like wearing it bc it’s an uncomfy material and also he grew out of it and still has not gone to get it re-fitted. So it’s just incredibly small now.
It’s been years.
Bonus ectoloader doodle bc of course:
After trying it on while it’s too small, it’s probably a little tricky to get it back off.
Don’t worry, Higari, he’ll gladly help you :)

I swear I wrote this down before, but I cant find it in any of my notes so here's a little fun idea! When the world gets recreated so its no longer Arda Marred, I think the Valar got together and Looked at the Finwe problem and shrugged and decided to make all of Miriel and her descendants Maiar to slove that tricky little problem of Remarriage.
Because the Feanorians are now Maiar, they aren't technically born, meaning they aren't really siblings and part of the same family so there is no real issue in separating them now is there?
Miriel is one of Vaire's weavers of course, and Feanor is one of Aule's most talented smiths, but that is understandable as he is the spirit of Hearth Fire itself. There are others within Aule's Halls, but their knowledge of each other is passing, for Celebrimbor tends to stay with the jewelry makers and Curufin likes creating hunting gear for Orome's hunt
Orome is almost never seen without his most prized hunter, Celegorm, who prefers a form that looks more wolf than Elf.
Vana, Orome's wife, herself has a pair of giggling and twittering songbirds that follow her around as she follows her husband's Hunt. They dance and sing and twirl in sync that many often just call the pair of them by a singular name, Ambarussa.
Irmo within his forest full of Song and Music has a very talented Maia that is so in tune with thr Song that they can play with it however they choose. Maglor only uses this ability to give the Elves good dreams, of course.
Este is forever thankful of her assistant Caranthir, who keeps all her medical necessities and books in order, so she is always prepared to help those in need, even if he himself doesn't have the best beside manner.
Lady Nienna’s Maia, Maedhros is a bit more of a recluse. He is charming when spoken too, but there is something distant, some type of lingering melancholy that clings to him, like a weak dawn in the deepest days of winter. He tends to hide himself away in the forests surrounding Formenos, helping those who are lost find their way back home.
Then there are Finwe and his beautiful wife Indis, their children, and many grandchildren. They are a stunning example of a happy family, and all the citizens of Tirion love having them as their royal family. Nothing is ever wrong, even when Fingolfin’s daughter Aredhel got lost during a hunt, she was lucky enough to be escorted back to her worried brothers' camp.
Fingon, who had never felt the degree of terror that flooded his veins at the thought of his sister lost in the woods, terror that was much stronger than what was called for because what could befell her in their peaceful land of Valinor?
She was being ferried on the back of a behemoth of a horse, pristine and laughing at the antics of the silver wolf-like Maia walking at her side. The horse was being led by a silent Maia, who smiled softly at the pair but made no move to include himself.
Fingon looked up at the tall Maia, and felt something in his fea shatter. He always had felt like something was missing, that he would havr an urge to go looking for someone he could never find, catch himself looking up to share an idea with someone who must have been taller than him only to look up at empty air. His bed felt so cold, but no matter how high he tended the hearth flames he knew it was because it was empty. He would look to the distant mountains and see a dawn peaking over their tops and weep as something in his fea ached.
Everything felt so overwhelming when he looked at this Maia, this being that looked cold, who wore furs and had snow dusting his shoulders even though it was a warm sunny summer day. Fingon was so lost in the sensations swirling within him that he was too slow to act before the Maia helped Aredhel off his horse, swung up himself and was out of the clearing. That wolfish Maia giving his sister a laughing twirl before bounding off into the thicket, chasing after the distant horn call.
Fingon’s knees felt weak, he found himself sinking to the forest floor. This world may be Arda Remade, but he still felt Marred.

I actually really like what you’re doing with Crowfeather, he feels a bit like a foil to Bramblestar almost. They’re both prophesied Sundrown Patrol cats who end up being awful fathers and bad people. But, Crowfeather matures and changes his behavior. He can never fix what’s already broken, he’ll never be close to Breezepelt or his Grandkits, but Can still become a better person, and he’s still willing to put in the work to change.
Bramble is the opposite. He never matures, he changes for the worse. He looks at the broken shards of his relationships with Squirrel and The Three and instead of attempting to fix it he doubles down and drags the remains through the mud. He gets a second chance to be a good father, now to Spark and Alder, and without care or hesitation he tears opportunity apart. What’s already broken can never be fixed, but unlike Crowfeather he will never be willing to change just for the sake of being better.
Exactly, like... my intentions aren't to 'redeem' every bad parent or family member, or totally erase how they hurt their kids. I think it's especially important to show situations that can't be fixed, and people who never do get better.
But you don't have to be 'rewarded' with a person's time or attention to make that effort worth it. Being a better person has its rewards in the new bonds you can forge, and the meaning you can find in other things. You're never too far gone to be unworthy of happiness and fulfillment, even if there are things that will never be the same.
I think being like Bramble is a very lonely experience. It sucks to be like that. People end up drifting away from mistreatment, which just prompts the abuser to claw harder and hold on tighter to what they haven't already lost, in an endless loop. It's really sad AND infuriating, it's like watching someone try to fill a vertical hole with tears and blood.
It was really helpful to me in my own life to realize that, that a person can be hurting, and that still doesn't mean you personally need to give them the time of day. Real pain and trauma in the heart of someone who's hurting you does not entitle them. They can even be trying to make amends-- you don't need to be their salvation. Regret is just how wisdom turns a wound into a scar, y'know?
But anyway, glad to know that my Crowf changes are going over smoothly. I was a bit worried of the response, since I'm both trying to establish he has some serious differences from canon to establish he could be a competent leader AND still keep that he was an abusive father. I hope I'm hitting a good balance.
