#latepost. I was in charge of dessert for a birthday over the weekend. Said birthday person’s favorite thing is cherry pie. So I somehow remembered I had this cookbook of JUST PIES hidden away. I purchased by happy accident. I’ve used it. 1 time. Juuuusssst 1. Why? I dunno but shame on me tbh. Anywho. I’m Super proud of this cherry pie. I made it for the first time in the history of my ever. It’s actually the first time I’ve baked in a while. Alas, it’s a hobby that’s gotten away from me and I’ve only dabbled with 1 pie 1 time (and that came out super good too, btw) I was kinda scared but I was so committed I didn’t even buy a “backup dessert” in case I screwed it up (I ALWAYS buy a backup dessert just in case). Why? Because - I’m sorry but sometimes if you follow the recipe to the last dot and crossed T it’s still coming out hokie. NOT SO with this book! This recipe came from an Amish pie cook book, you can’t screw that up right? Right. I took my chances. There were 0 leftovers. 0 regrets. Amazing. That is all. I’m definitely going to have to check out the rest of the book. So for you people who love to bake.
