That ask you just did got me curious: What kinds of book (or what titles if you have any in mind) would Ed read to/share with Clu and/or little Sonic?

Very different choices for Clu than for Sonic, and it would depend on what they both like?

If Clu has any interest in mysteries, He would love to share The Hound of the Baskervilles (Sherlock Holmes, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle), or My Name is Red (by Orhan Pamuk).

I feel like Ed would also like to share Victor Hugo's Les Misreables with Clu, but some of the events in it are probably too close to Clu's own experiences with the Occupation.

Clu would also definitely love Contact, by Carl Sagan. And (although non-fiction) also Cosmos.

Honestly, any of the Original Sherlock Holmes or Agatha Christie are tame enough for Sonic, when he's a little older. My Name Is Red is An Adult Book (it's not erotica, or explicit, but not for children).

Otherwise, I think he would share The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew. I also feel like Sonic would enjoy the Magic Treehouse.

He would probably also share (or read to them) Douglas Adams's Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy.

Tbh Thomas would probably freak out about that scene where Sisko bombs a planet too, he'd probably call Sisko a villain because of the lengths he was willing to go.

Of course, Astruc would forget to mention four things about this episode (It’s Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’s “For the Uniform” for those who are curious).

Eddington was part of the Maquis, a terrorist group that was guilty of all kinds of crimes against the Cardassian Empire.

When Sisko made the announcement to the Maquis about what his plan was, the other crewmembers on the Defiant were horrified by what he was going to do, even Worf, the battle-hungry Klingon.

Sisko decided to play up the role of the villain after Eddington spent the entire episode making himself out as a hero like Jean Valjean in Les Misreables, and the whole reason Sisko decided to play the role of Javert was to set up a situation where Eddington would do the right thing and turn himself in to stop the violence.

Both Sisko and Eddington’s factions were attacking civilian areas and neither was shown to be the better person. The only reason Sisko gave the order to bomb the Maquis colony was because he was tired of playing nice after Eddington screwed with him throughout the episode. This is what happens when you piss off Captain Benjamin “Pretty Much Half-Space God” Sisko.

Umbrella Academy favourite musicals

(My head cannons for what the seven’s favourite musicals would be of the ones I know. If you know any more that would fit better feel free to comment)

Luthor - Lion King.

*Had a hard time thinking of one for him, but I think he would like seeing a GOOD relationship with father and son, Simba stepping up as leader and his childhood friend being his love.*

Allison - Hairspray

*Talks about racism, has great music, costumes and wonderful dance sequences. Our civil rights activist/world renown actor would love this!*

Diego - Les Misreables.

*People starting a violent revolution against those who oppress them. He’d love it. And when the others ask he would blatantly deny crying at the end, but there would be tears*

Klaus - Beetlejuice

*I dunno, I think he would absolutely love beetlejuice’s character and the dark/sarcastic humour. The others would go insane with him singing ‘invisible/on the roof’ at 3am in the morning*

Five - The Count of Monte Cristo

*Personally other than homer’s the Odyssey, I think this story fits him very well, especially the count’s character. Someone who was forced into isolation for years, forced away from all he loved, comes back thanks to coming into some form of power with others help, wants to set things right when he returns (count in vengeance, Five in saving the world) finds the world he left behind not what he expected and struggles with them all moving on. He’d love the song hellfire and mutter it under his breath the next time the commission attacks*

Ben - Wicked

*I really wasn’t sure (Still not sure) What to do for Ben, but I thought he would really like the music and relate to Elphaba’s character who thinks of herself as a monster and struggles with loathing her own powers. He would show it to the others and he, Diego and Klaus would get drunk and sing defying gravity before Five told them all to shut up*

Vanya - The Phantom of the Opera

*I’m sure we all guessed this from her playing it in the first episode. She could relate to Christine wanting to be a wonderful singer, being emotionally manipulated and struggling with the death/loss of loved ones. (Five when he left and Ben when he died). And she could understand the phantom’s desperate loneliness and feeling that no one would accept her. Also she’d love the classic setting and the string music.

Aaaaand that’s it. there was no point to this, just thought it would be fun. May add more characters later
