Roleplay Opportunity: Leliana The Gist: Human. Rogue. Bard. Left Hand of the Divine. Spymaster. Involvement:  Present in all timelines; plays a critical role in DA:O and DA:I. The Want Ad: As a new roleplay forum, we’d love to have Leliana with us from the beginning as that would be ideal for the progression of her character development overall. We’re looking for a writer who will develop her canonically in addition to writing outside the confines of what we see first-hand in the video games. Perks Of The Role: Opportunity to flesh out her backstory in-between DA:O and DA:I, especially in her role as "Left Hand" of the Divine working alongside the Divine's "Right Hand", Cassandra Pentaghast. Pre-canon adventures and intrigue pertaining to Orlais, as we have a handful of players interested in exploring The Game in general. We haven’t pre-decided who will ultimately be the next Divine. We’re going to vote on that (via community poll) closer to that event, so Leliana has as fair a shot as anyone for the Sunburst Throne (and can also opt-out if her roleplayer prefers - it’s kind of exciting not knowing who it will be). Possible OC Affiliation: There are lots of former associates, friends, and rivals that could pop up including those she knew during her time in the Chantry and those she rubbed shoulders with in Orlais during her stint as "Nightingale of the Imperial Court". During the later DA:I timeline, she had a number of Inquisition secret agents and spies reporting into her as well. Where: Chronicles (18+ Jcink Forum)

What kind of Dragon Age are we talking? Do you have a Warden, Hawke, or Inquisitior? Who have you romanced? If you played all 3 or all 3 multiple times, do you have canon & “non-canon” timelines? Are you pro or anti Anders?
Doing a bit of jumping around here just to mix some of the newer post-”what are you into?” asks into the lineup:
:D We’re talking all of them, anon! Which is to say I’ve played all three, though I’ve never technically finished DA:O for basically the same reason I’ve never finished ME1; I can’t stand that kind of Kobayashi Maru, it just stresses me out, and GAMES SHOULD BE FUN. *pounds fist on table* (For me, games are kind of a stress management tool, so I don’t make myself do things I don’t want to do in them, I just stop. Thanks for the object lesson, Spec Ops: The Line.)
Also, I’m a terrible gamer. Like, on multiple levels. When I play an RPG, the first time out I’m always a woman, human/using baseline boring defaults, and I’m always a two-handed tank so I don’t have to worry about blocking/using a shield and I don’t die while I’m trying to learn how everything works. And then I play it again as a mage/whatever other class can do long-range damage with pretty lights, and make the EXACT SAME DECISIONS, because I’m the worst roleplayer in the world. Once I’ve decided which outcome I feel is ideal, I can’t deliberately choose not to make it happen. I just can’t. IT WOULD BE WRONG TO DO THAT TO MY PIXEL FRIENDS. D:
So, yeah. The only variations in my Bioware playthroughs are a) the identity of the PC and b) who I romance; almost everything else is the same (and this is true of KOTOR, ME:A, everything. IT’S JUST HOW I ROLL). As the Warden, I’m pretty sure I’ve romanced Leliana, Alistair, and Zevran, but it’s been a while so I may have forgotten something; my f!Hawke tanks almost always romance Isabela (*_____*) and my m!Hawke mage romanced Fenris, which frankly was weird as hell (WHY DON’T WE GET MORE DIALOGUE WHERE HE DOESN’T LIKE THAT AND WE HAVE TO WORK THROUGH IT???). My f!Trevelyan tank romanced Josephine and DUELED FOR HER HAND, which was adorable; my f!Lavellan mage hit on Sera a bunch but romanced Cullen in the end, because I wanted to see what romancing him was like (especially with a mage *____*) and didn’t have a bi mod installed, and also fuck you, Solas; my m!Inquisitors almost always fall over themselves at Dorian, no matter my intentions. /o\ :D ONE DAY I WILL BANG YOU, IRON BULL. I PROMISE. Except I want to do an f!Adaar romance with Blackwall next, because I love Blackwall, but I haven’t gotten around to it yet. /o\
But yeah, like I said, I very rarely vary my playthroughs in other respects, so this all tends to happen over the course of the same series of events. I always go look up the outcomes of any decision before I make it so I can make it the way I want to and I know what will happen. (Stress management! Knowing exactly what to do and exactly how it will work out is SO SOOTHING to my anxiety. I can make The Right Choice EVERY TIME. *______*) ... I am seriously the worst roleplayer ever. /o\ :D I always kill Loghain and make Anora queen, because I don’t like it when Alistair’s mad at me and I hate hardening him and making him rule with Anora when he doesn’t want to. My Hawke always does their best to understand everyone’s points of view, not take sides, and help whoever needs helping, mage or templar, and I’ve only played through the ending of DA2 once and I cried a lot (DAMMIT ANDERS /o\). My Inquisitor always saves the Chargers, never exiles or conscripts anybody, always decides punishment with an eye toward making amends/rehabilitation; if I have a “canon” timeline it’s helping the mages, just because I’ve done that more times, but my most recent Inquisitor (sword-and-board templar enthusiast who deeply admires the templars and is startled by how much he likes this Tevinter mage, oops) sided with the templars, so that’s not really set in stone for me. :D I tend to leave Stroud in the Fade, mostly so a) Varric won’t hate me and also b) the Wardens can begin proving themselves again with that act, like, whatever else they fucked up, a Warden saved the Inquisitor, and that’s a foundation for them to recover and work with the Inquisition.
And am I pro- or anti-Anders? ... Is it just me, or is that a loaded question in Dragon Age fandom? ;D Surprising no one, of course, I’m going to say both. Anders is fascinating, and I only don’t romance him because I know what he’s going to do and I can’t bear it; the whole Anders & Justice storyline is SO interesting to me, and I absolutely love it as a portrait of what “justice” means, how it can be warped by even the best intentions, how someone who’s initially only trying to do the right thing can end up at a point where they’re blowing up a building. The DA2 writers should take the Anders Wars in fandom as a compliment, IMO, that they managed to write a character who’s sufficiently complicated (in a worldbuilding context that’s ALSO sufficiently complicated) that people are STILL fighting about whether he was right or wrong/sympathetic or a terrorist or both. I personally will never be able to complete DA2 again, because I can’t stand not being able to tell him I know, to talk to him about it or do ANYTHING to convince him not to (that would have been one hell of a new-game-+ feature, and I would pay a great deal of money for it), and it breaks my heart. It’s like being a character myself, in a time loop, knowing what he’s going to do but he hasn’t done it yet, and if I could only say the right thing at the right time then maybe ... *clenches fist* DAMMIT, ANDERS. /o\
... Obviously I could keep talking about my playthroughs all day, oops, but yeah, if you have any follow-up questions about my Dragon Age feelings, by all means ask ‘em. :D

Authored Dragon Age FanFic
Masterpost
Da'Vallas - (Solavellan) A collection of Solavellan drabbles ranging from 300 to 800 words. Featuring angst or fluff from either Solas's or Lavellan's point of view.
Andaran Atish’an - (Solavellan) Inan Lavellan returns to her clan after years with the Inquisition, but coming home is even harder than she thought it would be. She's changed in more ways than her family may be able to accept. And there are secrets that may turn even her best friend against her.
Roleplayer - (Solavellan) Modern AU where Solas and Lavellan are grad students who get pulled into Varric's tabletop roleplay campaign in which they play themselves from Dragon Age: Inquisition. Fluff, angst and meta ensues.
Huddled for Warmth - (Solavellan) Lavellan can't get warm no matter what she tries, but she has a cuddly wolf to keep her company. Fluff.
Fade Touched - (FemHawke/Fenris) As difficult as it is for Varric to write Fenris of Hawke's death, it's even harder for Fenris to accept. Resigned to living as a wraith in the former Amell estate, Fenris' friends refuse to let him destroy himself. But his dreams of Hawke reaching out to him from the Fade might prove to be more than they seem.
Politics and Marriage - (Alistair/Anora) Alistair and Anora are married, and neither of them are happy about it. With Ferelden barely saved from civil war, can the two find compromise and maybe even happiness, or will their rule end in bitterness and ruin?
NSFW/Explicit
A Moment Alone - (Solavellan) Solas and Lavellan are on opposing sides; one seeking to destroy the world, the other to stop it. But when circumstances trap them together, they remember what first brought them together and what they can no longer deny themselves.
Honey Mead - (Solavellan) Solas and Lavellan overindulge in a night of drinking and can't keep their hands off each other. Inspired by affectionate Drunk!Solas headcanon.
Sweet Compromise - (Solavellan) Solavellan sexual compromise with Ace & touch sensitive Lavellan. Written for Submissive Solas Week and Dragon Age Aspec Week.
Flecks of Gold - (Leliana/femTabris) Tabris visits Leliana after she’s elected Divine. Fluff and love.
When I Saw You Again - (Morrigan/Loghain) Loghain and Morrigan meet again at Skyhold ten years after performing the Dark Ritual. The night leads them places they never expected to go.
I’ve also written fic for Once Upon a Time and Harry Potter.

🔜     Are there any muses you want to try, but aren't sure about?
Hella, there are lit so many it’s not even funny. & I’m not one who is usually shy to try my hand at a muse, or start a new blog, but shit man... there are just some characters that you love love love but you don’t have the right head for them. Like, you understand them but you can’t get their voice. It’s annoying, especially to someone like me who does enjoy a good challenge in a muse, doesn’t back down from a new blog.
But, all that aside, I’d really love to try my hand at Shay Cormac from Assassin’s Creed, because that man is so great & his character is so important to me because of how he was developed & why he decided to do what he did. Shay is a great character with so much potential & so many people don’t like him so I just have to protect my son! But despite my love for him I can never find the motivation or inspiration.
Same goes for Fetch from, InFamous, & I’ve tried her before. She is my lovely lady, my idol, my fuckin’ spirit animal & I still don’t have her down. & it’s annoying, because I love her more than anything but I can’t do her justice; that & her character was fucked over for me by another roleplayer, so that nasty taste has never left my mouth.
Hmm, more than them... I would love to write Thane Krios from Mass Effect -- I have in a few other places, but not a lot. What can I say, I have a thing for assassin characters. I’d also love to write any of the lovely adviser ladies from DAI: Cassandra, Leliana, or Josephine. But I tend to suck at writing female muses in general, so that’s far fetched.
Other than that? Black Panther from Marvel, or Bucky/Winter Soldier. Both are awesome, but hard to find inspiration for. Mary Read/James Kidd from Assassins Creed, who I’ve made a blog for but haven’t done much with, because I never finished Black Flag + I suck at writing females, like I said.
Last but not least... literally any character from Dreamfall Chapters, Pillars of Eternity, or Shadowrun. Literally. But no one knows those fandoms so I don’t even dare go into that territory, because that is a challenge too difficult for my insecure & impatient mind to deal with.
Basically I want to write all the muses from ever fandom I enjoy.
