Ended up plotting up a Ninjago rewrritten reboot AU thing so here’s a sloppy comic lol. A major part of the story is that starting out, Wu isn’t present, he’s still searching for them, not realizing that the ninja already found each other, so you just have this group of teenagers with powers raising this smaller child with powers and they realize they probably should stick together but they have no clue what’s going on or why they have these abilities.

Thought it’d be funny if maybe the 90s Lego Ninja theme was canon this little AU. They aren’t particularly relevant to the story, but they were def previous elemental masters/ancestors of the current ninja. Does Zane know that? Probably not. But using stories he’s heard, he can put together that something’s afoot and there might’ve been others before them. And yet, still no questions are answered.

(Also Lloyd totally begged Zane to tell him how the story ended and Zane totally looked it up just for him.)
