Soulmate AU

The structure of the soulmate system is that soulmates share the same image - not words or names - like a little picture. There's loads of websites where people can upload their soulmate mark to find their soulmate and Fatin and Leah connect - using anonymous names because catfishes are a thing. They are still in high school and spend like a year exchanging emails without revealing their names and without giving spoilers something happens that breaks of that connection point. They then reunite at college (and meet the other unsinkables) and the fic sort of follows the two of them of a number of years, falling in like genuine love but with this 'fracture' between them that doesn't get resolved for a while. If/ when I write it will probably be the angstiest thing I've ever written.

Scooby-Doo AU

Basically the unsinkables as teenagers were pretty much the scooby-doo gang and all the mysteries they investigated were always bad guys in masks. Until a case occurs that is genuine ghosts/monsters etc. but only Leah sees this and becomes locked onto the belief that ghosts are real. Her obsession with proving this slowly breaks the group up and they all go their separate ways.

Years later, Fatin (with Dot as her agent) is set to get her own talkshow and has become a celebrity, her past as mystery-inc member is simply a quirky part of her history. Then the case that started their group's disintegration is sparking back up since they never actually dealt with the ghost etc. so Leah reappears (having continued her ghost hunting and is now super good it on her own) and gets the whole group back together to deal with this thing from their pasts once and for all. During this time together, all of Fatin's feelings for Leah that she tried to push down come back up.

I’m trying to only do one long fic at a time now because it was burning me out doing 6 updates a week but yeah I have no intention of stopping writing.

My next long fic will likely be a Leatin romance au but so far I’m undecided on the plot. I have started drafting a Leatin celebrity au (actresses) but I’m not sure if I wanna continue or ditch the draft yet.

Fatin is a musical artist (Dot is her producer/guitarist and Shelby is her publicist)

This will be a lot more plot heavy than my other fics with a few twists I KNOW y’all will love/hate me for. Plus, it’s gonna be a little meta so there will be articles that talk about Fatin’s music (idk if that makes sense but it will in the fic). Finally, I probably won’t post it until I’ve written most/all of it so I can make sure it gets finished.

I don’t know if I’m especially attached to any specific tropes in fanfic other than pining and angst and both characters avoiding their feelings, but I can tell you that I follow certain tropes when I write specfic ships. For shoni, (it’s that Toni’s a bottom) but Shelby is always super aware of physical touch and spatial awareness (that one goes out to all my wlw who were repressed by religion) and also mentions of Becca

For leatin, it’s seeing how many times I can mention sarah’s eye color and sophia’s hands, oblivious leah (most of the time) and then when fatin finally realizes that she has feelings, she instantly melts. Also, as always, horny fatin is so fun to write

Share the mess!! leatin post rescue famous au-MESSY

Here is the summary!! this fic is one of two leatin fics that I'm planning on being Long with a capital L (the other one being leatin no island, celebrity fake dating au) A small, hopeful part of Leah thinks her life will be different after they all return to the rest of civilization; for the most part it is: Fatin crashes on Leah’s couch for a few days before they move out to a ridiculously expensive apartment that they can afford because within days of their return to civilization, Fatin’s already got a book deal and three other publicity deals (eventually, they get an even more ridiculous amount of money from the settlement against Gretchen). It’s a life Leah never would have imagined for herself: she’s recognized on the streets of L.A. but she spends her time shelving books at an indie bookstore as she takes college classes online. Autumn isn’t even over when their giant penthouse gets more residents; Dot and Shelby fly out once the emancipation process goes through and of course, Toni and Martha follow soon after that and the twins make plans to move once Rachel’s done with her physical therapy.

Life in Los Angeles is strange and life in Los Angeles when you’re nineteen and famous for a tragedy you couldn't control is even more strange, but Leah finds herself enjoying it; at least the parties Fatin drags her along to are interesting. Then, that stupid, fucking article gets published in a raggedy gossip column and goes viral, and the perfect, little world Leah’s created implodes before she can even stop it. 

And maybe, fame does change people, but Leah can’t help but think of the person Fatin was before the island: the girl who got invited to every party, every social function, just so people could say “I went to a party where Fatin Jadmani was there.” Fatin was always (and will always be) the girl everyone wanted. So, maybe, despite everything they've been through together, Leah's stomach flips and her throat burns at the revelation, maybe she never knew Fatin at all.

A simpler version is Leah and Fatin are really close after the island and almost date but then the public finds out and Fatin and Leah both respectively freak out and hide their feelings and be idiots (what's new though) You can see how it gets messy really quick right lol but I am really excited for it and from what I've shown @blinkaftermidnight I think you guys will really like it but will also yell at me a lot LOL

💡: what inspires your fic ideas?

most of my ideas come from prompts (either on tumblr asks or something i just come across) but i’ll usually think of one or two lines of dialogue to fit the fic and then i’ll go from there.

listening to music really helps my ideas too and it’s fun to come up with fic ideas based on the music i’m listening to
