So! Rainbow Reveal Sunny Starscout! Since all of my photos aren’t cross-posting from IG, I’m reposting them here. Naturally all of my photos turned sideways (due to resolution I’m sure), and for time’s sake I’m just leaving it. The last photoset is purposefully cropped, since that’s the ‘masterpost’ photo I usually lead with, so don’t worry about it seeming chopped off! Here’s a link to my first IG post which corresponds with most of the photos:
Here’s some detail photos for Rainbow Reveal Sunny Starscout! She comes with a little pamphlet with hairstyle ideas, and it has a QR code with videos on hair styles for her! Her package comes with the same little cardboard box as Izzy Moonbow, but hers doesn’t have any kind of inner packaging; all of her little accessories are just kicking around loose in there! Swipe through for details!
And here’s the ‘deboxed’ photos, which correspond to this IG post with a more complete ‘review’ and photos of her out of her box:
And here is Rainbow Reveal Sunny Starscout deboxed! I included a closeup of all of her accessories, in case you guys wanna check and see how yours compare! She’s got a lovely rainbow streak in there that I love!
Tumblr media
And my last post, which has a nicer closeup of her and a sort of ‘in total’ review:
Last shot of Rainbow Reveal Sunny Starscout! Overall, she’s a beautiful pony! Like Izzy Moonbow, her tail is the rougher hair material, I assume polypropylene of some kind, and you can see some minor budget cuts in the sticker sheet, which looks like it was originally intended to be holographic according to the inserts. The prototype on the backcard also has painted details on the headband and bag, which I assume you’re supposed to replicate the painted look. But without the holographic sparkle, I don’t know if it would look as nice! So I’m going to leave her stickerless for my own collection. I love the little braid guides, they have clips on the top and bottom to keep them in place! The brush seems to be a redux of a styling Twilight Sparkle, and the clips are also reused from the G4 line. But they suit her very well! I won’t complain about more star clips!

23rd September 2021-Buzzard, Tufted Ducks and more at Lakeside and home
I saw the moon which has been one of the ones I’ve photographed most when at its fullest the past few nights I think early on this morning which I took the first picture in this photoset of and the second of some interesting clouds which would go onto to obscure the moon later. I took the third picture in this photoset of a beautiful Goldfinch that was shining in the garden just before going out for my Lakeside lunch time walk, taking a great yellow themed photo of sunflower and some low-hanging of the yellow buddleia which mixed nicely with the sunflowers which are dominating the garden lately which I tweeted a picture of on Dans_Pictures too.
I did a fairly long walk at Lakeside through the eastern meadows then through the lakes and back along the northern path. I saw a Blackbird well something I’m seeing a little bit more of lately and Small White and Speckled Wood made great butterfly sightings, as well as darter dragonflies on the whole walk.
Crossing the steam railway track and going along the path through trees in the field north of the steam railway station and I was thrilled to see a bold Buzzard soaring gently through the air in a circular motion. I was so happy to make out the sweet brown and prominent markings of this big bird of prey. Seeing one of my favourite birds I had a great connection to nature. I took the fourth picture in this photoset of one flying alongside another and on the way out approaching the steps up to the northern path I saw a Buzzard again possibly the same bird and a lady I spoke to pointed it out to a child with her too and she saw me checking with my binoculars and asked if it was a Buzzard I said yes as we all marveled at this enormous bird flying through the sky. After a really good run of Lakeside and home Sparrowhawks in recent weeks, a Red Kite out the back before we went to Richmond and Bushy Park in my week off last week; Kestrel was a star bird of prey and bird generally of my day yesterday and it was Buzzard today. Buzzards are one of the most satisfying subjects for me and I always love it whenever one flying quite low presents a chance for a photo of this wonderful raptor. I took the fifth and sixth pictures in this photoset of Kornwestheim lake today.
I then walked through the grassy area between the lakes and with my bridge camera on its once weekly trip whilst the young Great Crested Grebes are around as well as my DSLR and big lens I looked for this another of my favourite birds. I did see one in the end getting some nice views of it at the centre of the lake seeing adults on both Kornwestheim and Concorde the two joined lakes today and it was fascinating to see the humbug youngster dive the famous thing grebes do so it felt a crucial stage in their development. I took the eighth picture in this photoset of this cute bird. But this was not before I spotted a single male Tufted Duck on the lake, this blue and white beauty shown in the seventh picture I took today in this photoset a bridge camera zoom in. This was the first Tufted Duck I’d seen at Lakeside for a few months they disappeared as the spring went on and usually its the months more towards and in winter I regularly see them here so it hinted just a little bit at what’s to come like Black-headed Gulls in winter plumage is doing lately. The Tufted Duck a very welcome sight. I enjoyed seeing and photographing pineappleweed in the grass between the lakes it was nice to see it again this year.
After work as twilight approached it was delightful to see several groups of nearly a dozen Greylag Geese flying past as they do a lot in the time of year outside breeding season (when they are based at Lakeside all the time to breed) so is symbolic of autumn and winter for me too. I got the ninth picture in this photoset of the first group. Its amazing I guess that the amount of times I’ve seen Greylag Geese from the house I’d never got or really tried for a picture. But with the few I took of them today I had a head start in terms of getting the picture hearing them probably about a minute before I first saw them and I happened to have my big lens on at the time still on from the walk I think. It was another great moment with birds flying today, today I took some pictures fitting the “on the move” theme in the photography group I am in on Facebook that has themes. The geese do remind me of Brent Geese at the coast flying by and over which is how I fell in love with that species in autumn and winter when they migrate here one of my favourite parts of the season.
There was then another beautiful set of cloud formations as the evening wound towards sunset, the Greylag Geese were flying against these so the Greylag Geese photos included a good sky and vice versa interestingly. Including some nice bits of orange in the sky at sunset. I took the tenth picture in this photoset of one of the greyer bits of sky this evening.
Wildlife Sightings Summary: Two of my favourite birds the Buzzard and Great Crested Grebe, Tufted Duck, Mallard, Coot, Moorhen, Greylag Goose, Back-headed Gull, Goldfinch, Blackbird, Starling, House Sparrow, Woodpigeon, Feral Pigeon, Collared Dove, brilliant views of Jackdaws on the roof visible from my room out the back today, a nice view of a Chiffchaff quickly too, Small White, Speckled Wood, darter dragonflies probably Common Darter and it was interesting to see another moth in the house tonight I believe a Square-spot rustic.

Do you have one of those calendars that have a word of the day? No but I have a plug-in dashboard on Chrome that used to give me motivational quotes every day. I’m not into that though so I’ve turned off the quote feature.
Do you sleep with your bra on? I used to, back when I was still in school and I’d often arrive home too tired to even change clothes. I usually immediately headed to bed.
Do you know how tall you are barefoot? 5′1″.
Is one of your friends bugging you right now? None of them are but work is super hectic at the moment. I really shouldn’t be even taking this survey rn HAHAHAHAHA brb
Would you rather do 10 push-ups or sit-ups? Sit-ups. My arms wobble real bad when I do push-ups and more often than not I end up crashing to the floor, ha.
Do you like Snoop Dogg? He’s alright. He hasn’t done anything to piss me off, I think.
What time did you wake up today? I started waking up at around 7:30 but I wasn’t properly up until around 7:50ish since that’s the time I usually get up from bed to prepare for work.
Where do you think you'll be in 10 years? I don’t really think of where I’ll be, I simply hope. And in 10 years I hope I’m happy and for things to have fallen more into place than they are now.
When this survey was created, was it your birthday or anyone's you know? I have no idea when this was made, I just got it from someone else.
Will you be seeing the movie Kung Fu Panda 2? I’ve never seen anything from that franchise.
Do you rate every survey after you take one? I don’t really get to do that on Tumblr, so.
Where do you buy your groceries? My parents do the groceries either at SM or a local store that we have. It’s usually between those two.
Is there a song that always makes you sad? Yes. I can’t listen to O by Coldplay without feeling sad because that’s all I listened to during my great big depression slump of 2016.
Have you ever been searched by the cops? Nopes.
Do you call anyone by their last name? Kinda. Denise’s nickname is Mils, but Mils is a shortcut for her surname.
How's life for you? Not being very kind, but I can’t do anything at the moment.
Have you ever taken a survey with 1,000 questions? I probably did when I was new to surveys and was way more enthusiastic about the longer ones. These days I’d rather stay within the 50–70 range lol.
Are you holding onto someone you shouldn't? Yeah but I’m working on it.
Do you own any silly bandz? As a kid I did. Not anymore.
What's your favorite type of Doritos? I just like the most basic one. I think it’s called Nacho Cheese.
Have you ever had fruit pizza? No thanks.
Have you seen any of the Step Up movies? I don’t think so. They never looked appealing to me.
Do you have Twitter? I do but I’m deactivated for now. Too boring the last few weeks and I’m in the mood for a social media detox anyway, so it’s out the door for now.
Do you think slang words were created because people are lazy? That’s a good possible reason. It’s also a way to get creative.
What color was the last pen you wrote in? Black. Always my preferred ink. I always feel off when I have a pen with blue ink; it always has to be black for me.
Do you like chocolate or vanilla pudding better? I’ve never had pudding but I would prefer to try chocolate if I had to have one for the first time.
Do you have any warts? Nope.
What color do you like better: Brown or Gray? I’d go with brown. Gray seems a little bleak and sad to me.
Would you rather marry Taylor Lautner or get a million dollars? Shittiest deal ever lol, give me the damn money. I love Twilight but I wouldn’t go that far lol
Ever had frozen yogurt? No. I don’t like yogurt, got traumatized by it from a young age so it’s a straight no for me.
What brand of jeans do you usually wear? I don’t really look at brands when it comes to jeans. If they fit me well and I think they’re cute, I get them.
Do you drink Dr. Pepper? I’ve never had it, but seeing as it’s soda I doubt I would enjoy it.
Do you like bears? Sure! I’ve only heard of bears being super gentle around humans, and I think that’s adorable.
What laughing thing do you use? (Lmao, lol, haha..) I use HAHA with close friends. The more HA’s, the more likely I actually laughed out loud in real life. Haha is to just sound chill whether with acquaintances or friends and to show I’m not pissed. LOL/lol and lmao are fillers.
Are you polite? Always, unless I have a valid excuse not to be.
Have your parents ever crashed a date? No. They wouldn’t be the type to, either. They like to stay out of my business, which I appreciate.
Do you have curtains in your bedroom? I have pull-down shades, not curtains.
Do you watch the show The Hard Times of RJ Berger? I’ve never heard of it. But may I recommend the song Hard Times by Paramore.... ;) Hahaha. Gotta plug my faves any time I can.
Have you seen the movie Easy A? I’ve never seen the whole thing but 2010 Tumblr used to be populated with so many gifsets and photosets that I might as well have seen the movie. That’s the movie that got me to hear about Emma Stone for the first time.
What color are your best friends eyes? Dark brown.
What does your pillow case look like? They’re the same design as my bedsheet, which has a multi-colored geometric print.
LOL is getting old, agree? I’m still using it and so are a bunch of people, so I think you’re wrong there.
Megan Fox or Mila Kunis Mila Kunis a thousand times over! < Big this.
If you could, would you erase all of your mistakes and regrets? Some.

Softly Falling Snowflakes
Ross has always loved the snow. He loved the low clouds, the long nights, and the twilights that lasted all day. He revelled in the thick white blankets that would soften all the sharp and harsh edges of the world. He took delight in the silence that came with it. He enjoyed the latency that snow provided. He knew if the post had arrived because the mailman had left deep footprints in the drifting snow, evidence that would vanish within hours and was already fading away as the impressions filled with snow blown by the persistent wind.
The one thing that he did not like was how wet and melting snow would build up and cake the soles of his canvas shoes. It would get so bad that walking became a dangerous endeavor as he rocked and slide on sidewalks across campus and across town. He would often stop and scrap the snow off by dragging the bottoms of his shoes on the curbs, bus stop benches, and any other sharp edged surface he could find. It was not a perfect solution by any means, but it worked. This minor inconvenience did not deter Ross’ enjoyment of the weather.
Today, however, he just did not have the time. He had woken up late and then he could not find one of his shoes. After much swearing and kicking of things he manages to find the errant shoe, but he is already late and he has no time to find his coat so he runs out the door with nothing but a sweatshirt. It is the tail end of the semester and he is running around turning in papers, dropping off projects, and returning library books. But, these things are all in separate buildings on different parts of campus separated by miles of city in between.
He squeezes himself into an open spot on the bus while ignoring the nasty look the girl he just climbed over was giving him. He shoves his earbuds in and stares out the fogged up window while carefully holding the pile of books on his lap so that they do not slide all over the place.
The same girl had not moved by the time the bus reached Ross’ next stop. He climbed over her again and stumbled—his books sliding. He dismounts the bus and begins walking. The snow that had accumulated on his shoes had not entirely melted and he is sliding already. The snow is always thickest in the middle of the sole, and he rocks with each step. He shifts everything to get a look at his watch. He has less than 10 minutes to turn in his history paper. He starts taking longer steps, but each step is less stable, but he is making good time.
A car horn screams and tires squeal. Ross whirls around to check, half-expecting to see his impending death moments away. But there is nothing there. Ross turns back to make his way to the liberal arts building. He steps on a patch of slushy snow and immediately loses his balance.
He crashes hard on to the pavement. His books scatter everywhere. His knee and his hands sting.
He groans.
He slowly pushes himself to his feet and examines the palms of his hands. They are torn and tiny bits of rocks, salt, and pavement are embedded in his skin. He brushes his pants off and inspects the tear in his pants and the state of his knee. Then he sets about picking up his belongings while the flow of foot traffic parted around his crash site, albeit with frequent dirty looks.
The pages of one book flutter in the breeze and a piece of paper that he had stashed between the pages flies free. Ross lunges for it, not knowing if it is a piece of scrap paper or something important—with his current luck it is probably the later. The wind carries it further and beyond his grasp.
He stares at it only to see the wind catch the edge again just before a black boot stomps on it. The owner of the boot picks the paper up and looks at it.
He holds it out to Ross. “Looks like you could use some help,” he says gesturing to the books whose covers are growing soggy in the melting snow.
“Thanks,” Ross takes the paper. “Yeah.” He looks at the books, but before he can say anything else the other man is scooping up the books and wiping their covers off with his gloved hand.
“That was a nasty spill,” the man said with a smile, dimples flashing. “You alright?”
Ross nods and takes the books from him, wincing when the weight of them presses into his hands. He shrugs, “I’m fine. Though, I can’t say the same for my pants.” He kicks his leg out to reveal the tear.
“It’s certainly not going to keep you any warmer,” he surveys Ross’ attire. “Though maybe that’s not really a concern?”
Ross anxiously shifts from one foot to the other. Now that the books have been retrieved he is reminded of the ticking deadline, and he has no idea how much time has passed since he last looked at his watch. “I couldn’t find my coat and I’m really running late. Thanks for—”
The stranger interrupts by pulling his thick, cream colored scarf off and winds it around Ross’ neck—he has to stand on tiptoe. “I may not be able to help with coat, but this should help.”
“I—”
“I thought you were running late?” His eyebrows quirk mischievously.
“I am,” Ross turns and starts to hurry away. A corner of his mind silently panicking and worrying that he will be too late. But he stops and turns around to see the man still standing there straightening his hat and turning up his coat collar., “I don’t know you; how do I get this back to you?” Ross nods to the scarf.
“You’ll just have to find me!”
Ross returns to that bus stop every time he has more than a few minutes to spare. The scarf, freshly laundered, is carefully folded in his bag, But he never sees him. He sees crowds of students and holiday shoppers and the grey stone buildings rising from the pavement as more snow floats to the ground. But he does not see the man with his blonde hair, his dimples, and his large black boots.
After the holiday break Ross considers the scarf and whether he should keep trying to find its owner. The intricate cables and the lack of a tag makes Ross sure that it was handmade by a mother, grandmother, “or girlfriend,” his unhelpful brain supplies. He stuffs it in a plastic bag to protect it from his notebooks, snacks, and other belongings, and returns it to his backpack. But he stops going out of his way. He stops looking.
Two weeks into the semester he is riding the bus. His headphones are in and he is trying to read a printout on the ecological benefits of wildfires despite the rocking and swaying of the bus as it barrels around corners with seeming indifference to anything else on the road.. But something makes Ross look up. He never figures out what caught his attention and dragged him away from his reading. Three rows in front of him, in the lower portion of the bus, is someone wearing a slouchy, cream colored hat. The cables match those on the scarf secreted away in the bottom of his backpack.
He almost trips in his haste as he grabs his bag and unceremoniously stuffs his reading into it and drags the plastic bag out by its handles, all the while descending the few steps that will carry him to the empty seat next to the man in the cream colored hat.
He drops into to empty seat, startling the other occupant of the row. He removes his earbuds and looks at Ross. His blue eyes all the more blue next to the hat and his pale skin reddened by the winter winds.
“I believe I have something of yours,” Ross pulls the scarf from the plastic sack.
The man grins. Dimples appearing instantly. “Yes, you do,” He takes the scarf and offers his hand. “Jim.”
“Ross.”
Their first kiss tastes like winter. All cold, fresh, and thrilling. Ross savors the feeling of Jim’s cold nose against his cheek, the whisper of Jim’s eyelashes against his skin. The contrast between cold skin, the brisk wind, the quiet of a winter night, and the warm slide of tongues is intoxicating.
Snowflakes glitter in Jim’s golden hair beneath the street lights. Everything about him seems to sparkle and glisten. His nose and his cheeks are pink. His teeth flash white in the dim light. Ross goes in for another kiss. He no longer notices his chilled toes, or his icy fingertips; warmth blooms in his chest and spreads from there.
Ross quietly closes the door, careful not to make much noise and wake Jim’s roommates. He steps off the porch and is delighted to find a mid-March snowstorm whipping snowflakes through the air before they land on the ground to melt away.
His jacket is open, but he does not bother zipping it; he is warm. He tips his head back to feel the cool kiss of snowflakes when they fall on his face. The street is quiet during the early hours of the morning. He would have stayed with Jim, but he has an early class and he had left his books in his campus housing. He had not foreseen what was to unfold, otherwise he would have been better prepared. He feels the tug to turn back and sneak back into the small yellow house through the front door and down the hallway to the bedroom where he had left Jim warm, pliant, and naked beneath his blankets.
Ross smiles at the memory—everything is right with the world at that moment—he sticks his tongue out to taste the newly fallen snow.
Graduation is in three months. They are both riding high on adrenaline, but also chafing at the delay. Ross found ways of dragging Jim away from his books when he was studying.
“If you get a C in this class, is it really going to stop you from graduating?” Ross asks slowly from his sprawling position in one one of the library’s chairs. Large windows take up the wall of the library and Ross can see most of this portion of campus with its thin layer of slushy snow and low, dark clouds.
“Shush,” Jim flicks his fingers in Ross’ direction. Another hand cradles his head and he frowns at his readings.
“I think you need a break.”
“Quiet,” Jim shoves Ross’ foot with his own.
“For a pirate, you’re not much fun,” Ross whines dramatically.
This time Jim looks up. “What?”
“For a pirate—” Ross starts to repeat himself.
“Pirate?”
“Yes,” Ross waves his hand dismissively. “A pirate. It’s the beard,” he draws a triangle beneath his own stubbly chin.
Jim’s hand snaps to his beard. He had been growing it out and over the Christmas break it had long enough that he was able to put in a small braid with a bead at the end. Ross would be lying if he said he did not like how Jim looked with the beard all wrapped up in his coat, hat, and scarf. “I don’t see how that makes me a pirate,” he grumbles, but turns back to his book, and the sound of pencil scratching on paper resumes.
“I was wrong.”
“Hmm?”
“I was wrong.”
Jim sighs, “About what?”
“About you being a pirate.”
“Okay.” Jim rolls his eyes to himself and tries to go back to work. He ignores Ross when he shuffles around and stands.
“You’re really more of a dwarf.”
“I am not,” Jim snaps.
Ross steps closer. “Are so. You are short,” he ignores the indignant noise Jim makes, “and you have this,” he lifts Jim’s chin and playfully scratches his jaw.
Jim’s face is torn between annoyance and pleasure. Ross laughs dropping a kiss on Jim’s forehead.
“Dwarf,” he says with a smile.
“You’re going to regret saying that later.” Jim’s eyes flash.
“Sure I am,” Ross laughs and shoulders his own bag. “I’ll see you back at the apartment.”
Hours later: “Am I still a dwarf?” Jim queries, his finger combing through Ross’ chest hair.. “Hmmm?”
Ross is beyond words; he whines in response.
Years later they buy this particular house because Ross has fallen in love with the way the snow lays on the steep gables and how the sidewalk wind from the street to their front door. Jim would have preferred something in the valley, but Ross loves the smell of sub-alpine forest that surrounds them. And, if Jim is honest with himself, the last time he sat with his toes curled in the sand on an empty beach, he wished he was sitting in the snow with Ross.
Another thing that Ross loves about winter is Christmas, he especially loves white Christmases. He has many fond memories of waking up while it was still dark and running out into the snow barefoot to check for reindeer footprints. His family always had loud—sometimes boisterous but sometimes angry—Christmases. They would cut down their own trees and decorate them while drinking hot chocolate when they were little and wine as they got older.
“What do you mean you’ve never cut down a Christmas tree before?” Ross’ eyes are wide with surprise. He is busy hanging garland on the fireplace of the small apartment that they got together after graduating.
Jim shrugs. “We didn’t really do Christmas…” He turns the page of his book and sinks further into the couch cushions and the blanket that he is wrapped in.
“How did you not do Christmas?”
Jim shrugs again.
“We’ll go together. You’ll love it!”
Jim grunts. “Traipsing around in the snow isn’t my idea of fun.”
“You say that, but you decided to go to a school pretty far north, and now you live in a town in the foothills.”
Jim looks up raising his eyebrows, “Don’t make it sound like sometimes I don’t regret that second decision. I had to scrape snow off my car starting in October. Do you even realize how disgusting that is?”
Ross flounces over to the couch, “For me?”
Jim looks up at Ross’ cheerful, puppy dog face, “Fine, but don’t expect me to like it.”
“You’ll love it!” Ross peppers Jim’s face with kisses until he cannot help but smile.
“Ross?” The mattress dips when Jim sits on the edge.
Ross groans when Jim gently shakes his shoulder. “Go’way.”
“Today’s tree day, or had you forgotten?”
Ross rolls on to his side with difficulty and struggles into a sitting position, “I hab not forgo’en.”
Jim pushes a hot cup of coffee into Ross’ limp hands. “Are you feeling okay?”
Ross stares vacantly at the cream swirling in the coffee. He slowly shakes his head and looks out the window where thick, new snow is piled against the window.
When Jim’s hand pushes its way through Ross’ errant curls to press his palm to his forehead, Ross flinches way because its cold.
“I don’t think you have a fever,” Jim says. “But I think you should stay in bed.”
“I can go,” Ross says. He weakly puts the mug back into Jim’s hands before turning and swinging his legs over the side. His toes touch the chilled hardwood floor. He leans forward to stand up, but everything goes fuzzy and his head feels empty. Instead of standing he flops himself onto his down pillows.
“I can get the tree,” Jim says gently. He climbs out of the bed and walks around it so he can tuck the duvet around Ross’ prone body.
“Bud ah wanna go,” Ross mumbles.
He does not notice Jim leave until Jim is pushing two pills and a glass of water into his fingers. “Drink this and take these,” he orders and Ross complies.
“I’ll get it, babe.” Jim smooths back Ross’ thick curls and drops a kiss onto his forehead. Ross is already asleep.
Ross wakes up hours later to the sounds of Jim fighting to get the Christmas tree through the front door of their steeply gabled house. There are many thumps, lots of swears, and a few times when the tree is unceremoniously dropped on the floor. Ross would go join him and offer his help, but his head spins and his hands shake so he pulls the blankets closer and watches what he can through the open bedroom door.
Eventually Jim appears in it. His face is red and normally neat hair stands on end. He toes off his boots and crawls on top of the duvet and lays down next to Ross.
“You’re lucky I love you,” Jim mumbles into Ross’ shoulder. “It was cold and wet.”
By that evening Ross is feeling better; he is feeling good enough to decorate the tree. Which turns into him sitting on the couch wrapped in an afghan while he instructs Jim on how and where to hang their ornaments.
“Not there,” Ross orders, “there’s already a green bulb just there. Hang it a little higher.”
Jim’s gaze borders on murderous. Ross almost laughs at the ridiculousness of the contrast between Jim’s face and the cheerful Christmas comedy movie that is playing on the television.
Ross moves to put down his hot chocolate—Ross refused to give him any wine on account of the copious cold medicine he had been taking all day, “I can do it myself.”
“No. I can do it. Just stay there.” Jim hangs the green Christmas bulb a bit higher before he walks over to Ross to re-tuck his afghan around his shoulders and crossed legs. Jim lowers himself on the couch next to Ross and pulls another blanket over his own lap. Jim drops his head against Ross’ shoulder and balances his wine glass on his thigh. He does not watch the movie, nor does he look at the multicolored lights on their partially decorated tree, instead he listens to Ross’ snuffly breathing and looks out the window where he can see fat snowflakes floating to the ground to coat the world in their soft, white blanket.

Minecraft — Eternal Solitude Full gallery (12 images, 1920x1080): https://imgur.com/a/xYVYOQF
Minecraft is not just one of the most interactive games ever, and not even the greatest indie project. This is a whole era that has brought up a generation, and continues to bring people up so far. It feels like it will never lost its popularity, remaining beloved among the audience. However, even with its magnitude, Minecraft is one of the most lonely games.
The thing is, the MC's world is all about the player, as they are the only power that affects the game reality. However, its scale tries to convince the otherwise. Even despite the fact that all the environment exists only by will of the player who joined the world, when you roam around nearly infinite but uninhabited lands, there is a slight feeling of being no more than a drop in the ocean of voxels. On the one hand, you, the player, is the architect of the world, on the other — just a guest there. In the beginning of a journey you are everything and nothing at the same time, and while exploring this majestic universe, you begin to fully understand how strong you were all the time, and how you become even stronger. It's all about gaining experience in your own cosmos, and the end credits expands this idea. Wandering in the caves, or simply running in the hills and plains absolutely alone, or with a dog, you often feel a mild melancholia in the air. And when you finally find and enter a Nether fortress after hours of searchings, while Dead Voxel begins to play in the background, you feel all the relentless power of Minecraft.
At first I thought that for my "style" (if there is any) of in-game photo Minecraft would be quite boring, since it's too adjusted and kind of "clean", as voxel graphics, paradoxically, smooths all the corners, polishing roughnesses and potentially interesting environment borders. Plus, there is a clear algorithm of procedural generation which, although it makes errors, is closed in its cubicity. Nevertheless, I was sure that with proper tools one can find something interesting in any game, so I tried to do something compositionally similar to what I usually do. Also, I had to use the mods Buildcraft, Twilight Forest, and Biomes O' Plenty to diversify the photoset, which will be the last one, by the way. I surely have had much fun.

No way, simmeronnie is doing replies again? :o It’s been a month, I know. It’s been hard, exams and all that. I’ve talked about that a lot. Now I’m in so much better place. I’ve read what I wrote in my diary a few months ago (February and March to be exact) and wow...just wow. If you compare me from now to me from those months, you wouldn’t even believe we’re the same person. Right now, I’m the happiest I’ve been in a while. Back then, I’m honestly surprised I didn’t give up. I was so tired of everything.
Onto something else. I thought I’d catch up on a lot of blogs now that my graduation is done, but actually, I got carried away reading a good book (and therefore I didn’t actually catch up on too many blogs). Guys, you all need to read Illuminae. I finished the trillogy today and man, it was so good. Don’t get intimidated by how big the books are, yesterday I read over 400 pages and I didn’t even know how. It’s just so good. Read it. Seriously. I hope you like a good plot twist because these books are full of them. It’ll leave you speechless.
I’m just excited I can read books that have nothing to do with exams again, okay? Tomorrow I’m starting...I’m not sure. Probably The Burning Maze by Rick Riordan. FINALLY.
Anyway, blog stuff. I thought I’d only do the latest replies since my activity feed was broken, but now I was able to scroll down a lot. I wasn’t paying attention and suddenly I was at comments from April. So yeah, that thing I screamed about this week, apparently it’s fixed itself. Though I’m still not sure if it shows all of the comments. Oh well. I worked with what I was able to get.
By the way, in these replies, I did not include the “congrats” comments when I said I got through my exams. But I saw you all, and honestly, thank you so much. I was thinking about this the other day, and I think one of the reasons why I made it through high school was simblr. This is my happy place. Most of the time.

This is some Edward Cullen shit she’s pulling
Let’s be real, even with how Regan and Nerine’s story is going, it’s still a better love story than Twilight  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Hold on, do people still say that?

oh god no
I can’t explain how I felt writing this. I’m not too empathetic when it comes to other people (and it sucks), but when it comes to “ok how would my character feel in this scene”, I’m immediately in their shoes, and let me tell you, I actually cried, even though I knew damn well how it was going to end. But I also knew what was happening next, and that’s why I cried too. Writing is weird sometimes.
alfalfalegacy replied to your photo “Coming soon…”
Marie looks super pretty in this!!
Thank you. I forgot she was this pretty. I couldn’t believe that when I loaded her for the first time after all these months. I mean, in the regular legacy, I don’t even see her around anymore too much.

Wow I didnt like her before I definitely don't like her now.
tiny-tany-thaanos replied to your photoset “Nerine: “I hate to be doing this, but it’s the only way. I’m sorry...”
Ahem
Hmmm I had a feeling that thee was something wrong with their fast developing relationship
There indeed WAS something wrong with her. I hinted at it a few times, sometimes it was just a little thing that probably only I saw as foreshadowing, but it kept getting more and more obvious towards the end. And wow. Yeah. She really went that far.
Also, can I just say, I weirdly enjoyed seeing how at first, everyone was like “yaaaaas, mermaid girlfriend”, whereas now it’s more like “oh no. OH NO. STAY AWAY FROM OUR GIRL”.

EXPLAIN DIS NERINE!
fishingforsims replied to your photoset “Regan: “Because…because I love you. You’re right. You’re all that...”
My brain rn is just “!!!!!”
She just wants her. That’s her explanation. She doesn’t care about anything else, as long as her beloved human will stay right there in Isla Paradiso.
I’m just now thinking, how the hell did I go from the first story idea for Regan to this. In the original story, there were no creepy psycho mermaid girlfriends. There was...a lot of Bridgeport...some cheating...a lot of guilty feelings...more feelings towards Courtney...Felix didn’t end up with her in that storyline but there would be a love triangle with another person...and considering I’m not actually the biggest fan of love triangles, I as a writer am glad I somehow ended up with a psycho mermaid girlfriend story. It was way more interesting to figure out and write.
But if Regan could decide, I’m pretty sure she’d rather end up in a love triangle 😬
Let me tease you though: There’ll still be a lot of Bridgeport later.

Anyway I'm looking forward to see you BRP!
Oh I just saw the tagsXD Don't mind me I think I have to go to bed
Wait still a cliffhanger. Just not as big as I initially thought. Don't mind me
Haha no worries, this happens to me all the time, I forget to read the tags or caption and then I’m like huh??? What’s happening?? :D But I’m glad you’re looking forward to the BPR, I’m happy to be finally posting it. I’m not sure if it’ll be just as fun as my NSB, but it certainly won’t be as sad as the current story. You guys deserve a break.
Oh, another teaser: Guess what you guys will get in my BPR? An idiot to yell at. Not Ross-level idiot, but still an idiot.

‘Cause baby she’s a nightmare dressed like a daydream
I’m sorry, I can’t stop referencing Taylor Swift, that’s just who I am

So yeah this was the post where I kind of figured out something seems off... if I'm not mistaken there were also posts where George warns her but I didn't think much of them
One of the things I enjoy doing when I finish the first draft of something is going back and making hints. Tiny little pieces of foreshadowing. And then it grows and grows and gets more obvious. This was never going to end well. I think I already hinted at it when Regan was saying goodbye to her family before going to Isla Paradiso, though I’m not sure. But I think I left first little clues there.
melien replied to your photoset “Nerine: “I hate to be doing this, but it’s the only way. I’m sorry...”
I first saw pics, then the text... and thought wow damn can mermaids do this? But yeah I love where this is going. I like this kind of creepy
Yeah I had to help myself with Photoshop here, there would be no other way to make it clear that she enchanted/brainwashed her. But damn, it would be cool if something like that was actually in the game. Sea creatures like mermaids don’t always have to be nice. What about sirens from the old mythology? I mean, what they did was getting people killed.
sinfulwunders replied to your post “Today is my graduation day and I’m already almost crying even though I...”
My graduation was last month and I was balling my eyes out I understand how you feel
Ahh yes...I was in a car today and we were driving past my high school. I started thinking about it all again and I just can’t believe that just two months ago, we were still sitting there in a classroom, praying for it all to end. And now it’s over and it’s weird and I want to go back because somehow I miss it.
dandylion240 replied to your photoset “George: “I’m worried about you. There’s something wrong. This isn’t...”
George take her away before it's too late!
He kinda...I don’t want to say he fucked up at this point, but if he hadn’t walked away, things could’ve really been different, huh?
tiny-tany-thaanos replied to your photoset “George: “Regan, what the hell is going on?” Regan: “You wouldn’t...”
Girl you are definitely not feeling well and this isn't love:/
tiny-tany-thaanos replied to your photoset “George: “I’m worried about you. There’s something wrong. This isn’t...”
Girl you do sound like zombie!
tiny-tany-thaanos replied to your photoset “Regan: “You say that as if it was a bad thing. Get lost, George. I...”
Whaaaaaa?
There better be a wizard near you to un-zombie you, Regan!
That’s how it is with brainwashed people, isn’t it?
No, all jokes and dumb remarks aside, when I wrote Regan in this brainwashed state, it was so hard. Not that writing was hard, handling my feelings was hard. I knew she was hurting everyone and I had to keep going because I wanted to tell this story. Like I said, writing is weird sometimes.
Also, speaking of wizards...how convenient it is that her brother is one now? :D Which actually...I didn’t plan for him to become a wizard just to save her. I didn’t plan for him to befriend a fairy just to save her either. It just all sort of happened. Just like life, huh? Nothing is perfectly planned, you just have to play with whatever you have, and I was lucky this time.
tiny-tany-thaanos replied to your photoset “Weeks had passed since my last meeting with George. Things got better....”
Yeah I wonder why? Maybe because they are worried about you, too? You never came and anything could happen to you!
She doesn’t care about that. Well, she does, but she doesn’t know that with this whole “your family is useless and I’m the only one who matters to you” haze Nerine put over her.
tiny-tany-thaanos replied to your photoset “Regan: “Hey mum. How’s life?” Miracle: “What did you just say?” Regan:...”
Miracle, come and get 'er before it's too late!
She would. Honestly, I believe she would, if things weren’t already hard at home for her.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate Miracle for everything she’s gone through? She was “unwanted” at school because she was half alien, she had to share a room with an awful bully at university, then when that hell was over, she became a mother to six children, and now this...when I think of all that has happened, I realize how strong she actually is, because none of this made her give up.
I’ve had so many issues with her story, but looking at her from this perspective, maybe I shouldn’t have.
