signs of rain
cw; lady whump, whump of 18 y/o, implied long-term captivity, implied sensory deprivation, dehumanisation, blindfolds, authoritative whumper, defiant whumpee, non-human whumpee. | @whumpril d30 alt prompt "you brought this on yourself." | note; i haven't had time to do whumpril at all this year, but here's some crumbs of sihyeon pain from me :3
“Don’t put it on. Please.”
“No can do. We're taking off in 10. Orders are orders.”
“Just five minutes, please. I won’t say a word!" Sihyeon's back was against the wall. She warily eyed the guard, the blindfold gripped in his hand. The other stood at the doorway, gazing exasperatedly.
They'd forced her awake an hour before the standard alarm, spoke something of a facility transfer, and knocked her out cold. Now, they were on some random cargo plane and she'd woken up in some random nook of it, fitting for a commodity of the government.
“We’re only 2 hours away. You won’t even realize when we land. If you’ve quietened down, let me put it on you now, its just a piece of cloth.” He advanced towards her.
“A bit of sun won’t hurt either of us! Just 5 minutes, goddamnit!” She lashed out with her legs, her hands cuff-bound. She was a child throwing a tantrum, and she'd gladly continue if it got her anywhere.
The flailing seemed to be of some success, and the guard cursed under his breath, stepping back.
She wouldn’t let them do this. She wouldn’t let them take the reprieve away. She needed the sun. She hadn’t seen fresh, clear skies for over a year and she wouldn’t let them take it away.
She froze at the click of the door. She always froze at the clicks.
From the corner of her eye, she saw Sorano enter. He exhaled, turning his attention to the other men in the room. The guard in front of her made some gestures of annoyance, shrugging. Sorano didn’t wait, grabbing the blindfold from the guard’s hand.
She had nowhere to go. She felt concrete dig into her back. Her supervisor kneeled down, shoving her to her side.
“Can’t take you anywhere without you making things difficult for everyone, huh?”
“Don’t touch me.” She growled, slapping his hand away.
She was testing his limits. She knew it- ever since the guard at the door had radio-ed Sorano once, twice, the way he looked every part of the overworked, exhausted government employee.
“It’s just cloth, you idiot.” He wasn’t smiling.
“I don’t want it-“
His fist connected with her jaw. She blinked as her head slammed into the wall, a spike of pain running through her head.
“Hope you bit on your tongue.” He murmured before raising the blindfold.
No. She wanted to see the sky. She wanted to feel something else than the cuffs on her wrists and the hurt of it all. She had to.
She grabbed onto his hand weakly, the cuffs clinking. She watched him tilt his head slightly.
“Do you really want to see the sun that bad?” Sorano lazily pulled back his hand. She didn’t answer, dazed.
Sihyeon thought she was used to him. She thought she wasn't scared of him anymore, thought she'd gotten good at taking a beating, but why she couldn't even get herself to form words right now?
He pushed her to the ground, and she let him. She goddamn let him -let him restrain her hands behind her back, felt him adjust the cuffs, made them somewhat tighter.
"Humor me. If you make me laugh, I'll allow it." His voice mocked her. What was so different about Kurai Sorano, that made her look out for every intonation of his words?
Would logic and reason work with him at all? Sihyeon gulped.
"…You know that fucking room- that prison cell has an excuse for a window and you- you know I haven't been out of there for months-" she managed to stammer out, before she heard him breathe out a laugh.
"Open that window." He ordered. Her heart skipped a beat. She noted the hesitation in the footsteps, but the guard slid open the window anyway. Sihyeon instantly shifted her gaze upwards, straining against the force he held her down with.
"Would you look at that," Sorano chuckled. "The forecast did mention cloudy skies and heavy rain."
Sihyeon's lips parted at the dull, overcast, lightless sky. And for a moment, she wished she hadn't resisted against the blindfold at all.
"I get you. I do, really. It's suffocating in there, I agree." Sorano's hand rested on her hair.
"But you know what, 79?" His fingers curled in on her hair, pulling her head back. He slammed her head straight onto the concrete floor. Limp although she already was, the sharp pain ran down her entire body. She let out a ragged grunt, feeling warmth run down her nose, the familiar taste mingling in her mouth. "A few minutes of good weather won't do anything for you. And you can fool yourself into hoping that the sun on your skin makes you feel any more human," She can't see, now. The white and black spots in her blurred vision didn't disappear along with the drum pounding in her head, even as Sorano put the blindfold on.
"But nothing is going to every change for you. And I don't mind getting that ingrained in that dense-ass brain of yours as many times it takes." Her supervisor's voice was distant now, and through all the numbness in her being she felt his presence move away.
"Every time you see even a sliver of light, you're going to remember you're nothing but a bunch of fucking numbers on a leash." She felt his grin, saw it through the dark.
She heard the clack of footsteps fade away. There was nobody else, no guards, nothing.
Don't worry. She won't dare to do anything now. Sihyeon imagined him say, and he was right.
She laid on the concrete, stiff as a log, blood dripping down her nose steadily.
Now nothing will make you feel like a person and you brought it all upon yourself.
7983 settled into her soulless body as Sihyeon died for the hundredth time.

Fairy Tail Next Generation (my personal view)
Yesterday, I talked about my view on the next generation of How To Train Your Dragon. Today, I do the same, but with Fairy Tail.
Some names for the kids, like Storm, Reiki, Sylvia and others are from tumblr-user kkumri, so the rights for their names go to them! Next to that, Nashi is already sorta canon, so I’m not gonna argue with that.
The Dragneel Family (Natsu and Lucy):
Nashi Luna Dragneel is their first born child and oldest daughter, born in the year X797. She uses Fire Dragon Slayer Magic, is a mage of Fairy Tail and a member of Team Nashi. She is is more mature than her siblings, but also quite violent and doesn’t think things through. Looking more like her father, people are almost forced to call her “the Second Salamander”.
Lucas Igneel Dragneel is their first son and second child, born in X799. Although he uses Celestial Spirit Magic, he also has his fair share of Heat Resistance. He is a mage of Fairy Tail and a member of Team Star-Struck. He is rambunctious and a joker, often getting attention for one or more of his actions. He shares a close bond with Charlotte Conbolt, trusting each other above anything else.
Layla Ashley Dragneel, their third child and second daughter, is born in X801 and uses Sound Magic and Thought Protection. She is, like her siblings, part of Fairy Tail, and she is a member of Team Sound. She once was close with her older brother and the daughter of Wendy and Romeo, but after an accident involving the two they grew apart. She is more like her mother, although she doesn’t forgive others as easily.
The twins, Spirit Aquarius Dragneel and Igneel Jude Dragneel are born in X816, a long time after Layla’s birth. They were unexpected, but loved by all. Spirit uses Moon Dragon Slayer Magic, while Igneel uses Sun Dragon Slayer Magic.
The Fullbuster Family (Gray and Juvia):
Storm Silver Fullbuster is born in X796, a year before Nashi. The two are close, but fight a lot. Storm uses Ice Devil Slayer Magic and Water Magic and is a member of Team Nashi. He is quite the depressed thinker, often staring into the void - and the void stares back. However, he isn’t as emo as he thinks.
Sylvia Ur Fullbuster and her twin brother, Rin Yuki Fullbuster, are born in X799, in the same year as Lucas. Sylvia uses Water Devil Slayer Magic, Rin Archive Magic and Memory Control. Both are part of Team Sound. Rin and Lucas are best friends since birth, often telling each other their secrets or having a “men’s night off” (all they do is watching sappy movies and eating ice-cream). As his best friend, Lucas is the only one who knows about Rin’s crush on Rosemary Fernandes. Sylvia, however, shares too much information. She has the habit of stripping others - mainly males - and loves to write down love stories.
The Fernandes Family (Erza and Jellal):
Reiki Simon Fernandes is born in X795 and is a former member of Crime Sorcieré, now in Fairy Tail’s Team Nashi. He uses Heaven God Slayer Magic and is, like his mother, an S-Class Mage. He is the most mature, but also the most shy member of the next generation. He is seen as one of the most powerful people in Fairy Tail, often going on dangerous missions and taking risks.
Rosemary Strawberry Fernandes is born in X800 and Sylvia’s best friend. She uses Heavenly Body Magic and is a member of Team Sound. She is a warrior by heart, but often blunt and careless about the feelings of others, what makes her seem arrogant. However, she wishes best for her friends and family.
The Redfox Family (Gajeel and Levy):
Emma Ellie Redfox is born in X794 and is a long-time S-Class mage. She uses Iron Dragon Slayer Magic and is a part of the S-Class team, Team Strike of Lightning. She is a playful, but mature person who tries to help others with all her might. She is extremely close to Nova Dreyar and her foster brother, Kurai, and has trusted them both with her crush on Reiki.
Shutora Gale Redfox and Yajeh Metalicana Redfox are born in X799 and form Team Iron Destiny. Shutora uses Solid Script Magic, while her brother uses Sandstorm Magic. Yajeh is the more calm one, while his sister is more of an emo person, often joking about dark stuff. Both were close to Sylvia, but once the girl started crushing on Yajeh, the three grew apart.
The Dreyar Family (Laxus and Mirajane):
Nova Jane Dreyar is born in X794 and is part of S-Class team, Team Iron Destiny. She uses Lightning Dragon Slayer Magic and is very close with Emma and Kurai. She is strict, sometimes scary, but as she’s often on dangerous missions with her friends, it’s not often seen as something bad. Nova has a major thing for Kurai, but is too afraid to express it.
Rai Makarov Dreyar, born in X798, is a member of Team White Destiny and the greatest confidor of Fay Strauss, his cousin. He uses Take-Over Magic and Memory Make Magic, making him one of the strongest of the next generation. However, he is clumsy, shy and a real sweetheart - causing Layla to fall for him.
The Conbolt Family (Romeo and Wendy):
Charlotte Grandeeney Conbolt is born in X801, uses Sky Dragon Slayer Magic and is a member of Team Star-Struck. She is very close with Lucas, them having been friends since her birth. Both of them share a lot with each other, trusting the other with their deepest secrets. Charlotte is one of the sarcastic members of the next generation, but also easily scared and with zero confidence. Lucas refers to her as “his girl” more than often.
Aeros Peter Conbolt is the twin brother of Grandeeney Juliet Conbolt, who died quickly after their birth in X807. Aeros is scarred by this, often hearing his sister’s voice when it’s quiet. He uses Dark Magic and is not yet in a Guild. He is a little bit dark at times, but otherwise a normal kid.
Rowan Sky Conbolt is born in X813 and is about to use Rainbow Fire Magic like his father. He is a cheerful child, in contrast to his older siblings. He absolutely adores Lucas, and wants to play with him as soon as he walks into the house when he hangs out with Charlotte. Lucas, in return, loves his girl’s baby brother and acts like a big child around him.
Kurai’s Situation (Mavis/Mio and Zeref/Arius):
Kurai Hikaru Dragneel is born in X794, to Mio and Arius, aka the reïncarnations of Mavis and Zeref. However, issues happened, and Kurai was left by the door of Fairy Tail, with the only not being: “Please take care of our little Kurai”. He was adopted by Gajeel and Levy, raised alongside Emma. He turned out to love science, having a lab of his own. He is pretty cheerful and very good at observing and taking situaties into his own hands.
Happy and Carla’s Family:
Cappy and Ami are their only children, born in X808. Cappy is best friends with Nashi and almost exactly like his father, while Ami is on Team Star-Struck with Lucas and Charlotte and is more mature.
I have other couples’ kids listed, but it would take a very long time to write down all of them. So, here’s the list of the children I skipped over:
Otoko Strauss (Elfman and Evergreen) Fay Strauss (Elfman and Evergreen) Weiss Eucliffe (Sting and Yukino) Tora Eucliffe (Sting and Yukino) Kage Skiadrum Cheney (Rogue and Minerva) Zeri Erza Cheney (Rogue and Minerva) Cornelia Yosuko Alberona (Cana and Bacchus) Hebi Kya Suru (Erik/Cobra and Kinana) Amaru Ren Suru (Erik/Cobra and Kinana) Moran Shi Akachan (Bickslow and Lisanna, deceased) April Saisho Akachan (Bickslow and Lisanna) David Banme Akachan (Bickslow and Lisanna) Ebony San Akachan (Bickslow and Lisanna) Ayame Yui Akachan (Bickslow and Lisanna) Chirasu “Chira” Justine (Freed) Isaac Connell (Alzack and Bisca) Lyre Ultear Vastia (Lyon and Meredy) Kai Gray Vastia (Lyon and Meredy) Sora Tearm (Eve and Sherria) Akio Tearm (Eve and Sherria) Miyako Tearm (Eve and Sherria) Amy Akatsuki (Ren and Sherry) Kenji Akatsuki (Ren and Sherry) Hiroki Lates (Hibiki and Jenny) Kiyoko Lates (Hibiki and Jenny) Michi Lates (Hibiki and Jenny) Haru Lates (Hibiki and Jenny) Tsuki Mayonaka (Macbeth/Midnight and Sorano/Angel) Akeno Mayonaka (Macbeth/Midnight and Sorano/Angel) Catrin (Millianna and Shô) Felina (Millianna and Shô) Hayai (Jet, adopted) Atsui (Droy, adopted) Brannie Alors (Max) Koa Rocko (Laki and Warren) Nico Gryder (Mest and Katja) Lahar Gryder (Mest and Katja) Kioku Lore (Rufus) Safaia E. Romanian:
Chizuru
Ti-am auzit vocea In dimineata cand am pierdut totul 'Nu putem deveni unul'

night duty (angstpril + whumpril)
angstpril d7 - sleepless nights. / @whumpril d7 - "you look pale."
CW: lady/female whump, whumpee w/ c-ptsd, nightmares, mild and subtle reference to choking, ref to fibromyalgia, overworked non-human whumpee Everything around her flitted between dark and light. Sihyeon's head felt like it was filled with bubbles, submerged deep into the unknown. But she couldn't breathe. She knew she was struggling. The surface was way farther than it should be. Her hands didn't reach out for the surface, instead, they clawed on her throat. Seaweeds? Corals in the sea? Something wrapped tight around her throat and she couldn't get rid of it. She despised that feeling. Ever since that incident years ago, she hated having anything around her throat. Forget the surface, whatever gripped her throat had to come off. Sihyeon thrashed in the superficial water, desperate to free her neck from- chains? When did they become the exact same chains from years ago? She recognized them well, they'd always be around her wrists when she was in the facility.
This time, they stretched out beyond her. From above and below the surface, reigning her in from everywhere. The surroundings shifted around her violently, but her vision got clearer in contrast to the water continuing to compress her throat. The surface was visible, the chains extending beyond it. Sihyeon now reached out to grasp the chains and pull them towards her, trying to regain control. There was clarity, now. Someone held the chains that encased her throat. A tall, human figure. Sihyeon instantly recognized him, the figure holding the chains in one hand, the other tucked into a pocket. She grabbed them now, screaming underwater. The water she inhaled flooded her lungs until they were filled with it. - There was a soft ringing that greeted Sihyeon as she blinked slowly, her phone buzzing on her lap. She straightened herself up, observing the environment around her. She'd fallen asleep on the bench in front of the dorms. An uneasy feeling rose in her chest and stomach as she rubbed her eyes, noticing the black boots in front of her. She looked up, her supervisor looking down on her, phone in hand. "Looks like you've been waiting for a bit." Kurai spoke softy, cutting the call. "I was afraid I'd have to shout in the middle of the night to get you to wake up." It had to be around 1 am, the street illuminated by bright street lights. There was one right beside the bench she'd been asleep on. "Let's go. We'll take about half an hour to reach the accident site." Her supervisor gestured towards his car a few blocks away. Sihyeon merely nodded without saying a word, grabbing her bag and phone. She stood up, slightly wobbling. Kurai tilted his head. "You look pale." "Huh?" "That lamp is quite bright, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to tell." "I haven't been sleeping well." Sihyeon sighed. "Makes two of us." He replied, walking towards his car. She followed and got into the vehicle along with him. "Don't forget the seatbelt." Sihyeon complied, but flinched instantly as a pang ran up her ribs. "What's up with you? I don't recall doing anything to you this week." Kurai asked as the car geared into motion. "Nothing." Sihyeon breathed out the lie, gathering herself. Her body abruptly felt sore, as if she'd been lifting heavy weights for the last few hours. She gulped, letting her head rest against the shut window. "One of the less-injured victims is apparently a migrant and all she speaks is what I assume, from the preliminary report, only Korean. That's where you come into picture." Sihyeon hummed back in response. "We can't find a translator at this hour." Kurai didn't continue. "I haven't spoke to anyone in Korean since years, man." Sihyeon complained, massaging her shoulders. "Doesn't mean you automatically forget your mother tongue." "I'll try." "You will. You can take the next day off, though. We aren't going to get any sleep tonight, so take a nap if you want to." "How generous." Sihyeon snickered, shutting her eyes. No sleep came to her despite the exhaustion running through her bones. The image of the chains, and the man who drove beside her kept flashing before her mind.

unfinished business (whumpril)
@whumpril d27 - forced to kneel + grabbed by collar + stepped on read wake up for context.
CW: lady/female whump, whump of a minor (17 y/o), long term captivity ref, side character death mention, ( whumpee being the murderer of said character lol ), ref to past beatings, strict & authoritative whumper
Sihyeon hadn't been out of the facility in a little over a year. She'd dreamt of this opportunity. Not this way, though. She'd daydreamt about walking out without the shackles on her wrists and ankles, the world moving a little slower for her. Her supervisor sat beside her, eyes on the window. The car picked up pace on the highway, the two other government cars in tow. Although to an outsider, the window of the car was pitch black, but Sihyeon could see everything. Occasionally, people would glance at the cars in curiosity and interest. A political figure? Celebrity? Who was moving among them? A prisoner would be the least of their guesses. If her circumstances weren't as gloomy, it would have almost amused her.
She tore her gaze from the outside. Indeed, she'd often dream of the sunlight falling on her face, the gentle breeze, and the calm of the afternoon she so always loved. But a murderer like Sihyeon didn't deserve it. Sihyeon stared at the chains, as always. "We'll be there in around 15." the driver announced. Kurai nodded silently, but the uneasiness in Sihyeon's chest only grew tighter. She'd been rehearsing on what to say since last night, spending the entirety full of anxiety and fear of what she'd have to face. When she was younger, she'd watched documentaries about serial killers being confronted by families in court. Some faking their reactions, others enjoying the attention. What would she do? Had she ever thought that she'd find herself in such a position before? Sihyeon shivered at the thought of presenting herself before her victim's family. She wondered if she'd able to withstand the pressure. Yet that was exactly what she'd been ordered to do. But she had gravely sinned. The agony she'd endured during the interrogation was nothing in comparison to what the late warden's kin would experience as their son's killer stood before them. Since taking a life was a sin, she was the embodiment of sin itself. This was Sihyeon's punishment for existence.
- One step through the door in front of her and she'd fall apart. The little defiance that was left in her would seep out of her body for these few moments and everything would go according to what she'd discussed with Kurai Sorano earlier this afternoon. "First, you do not speak a word before they do." His knee jabbed right below her ribs, eliciting a pained gasp from Sihyeon. She slumped against the wall, trying to catch her breath. "Second, you better not pull anything stupid. You don't need a warning to know what happens next." Kurai drove his fist into her stomach next, pinning her in place, preventing her from falling to her knees. Sihyeon clawed at his wrist, the one grabbing her collar. "Third. It is not for you to decide whether your apology is sincere or not. Whatever happens to you in there is a result of your own actions." The last hit to her abdomen was brutal. She doubled over as Kurai let go. Delayed hicks and soft sobs left Sihyeon, the man towering over her. Kurai stomped on her half-healed arm, the one that he'd broken. She blocked the scream from ripping out of her throat, gritting her teeth instead. "This is your only chance. Kneel." Sihyeon panted, hands weak. She pushed herself to be in position, not wanting anymore of the assault. The taste of rust in her mouth made her gag and cough, but Kurai's foot came down hard on her back. "Agh-! Stop! I'm kneeling!" "What will you say before Harvey's parents? Didn't we discuss this already?" "I...I'm the one who took your son's life. I've- I've caused your family a lot of pain-" She stammered, mechanically reciting what she'd thought of saying. "You better not be this half assed back there." "And- And there is nothing that can justify his death. I took advantage of his kindness when he tried his utmost to save me." Sihyeon breathed out, hands and voice both trembling as his boot pushed her down further until her head touched the floor, her matted hair covering her face. "Although nothing will- will bring him back...and no efforts will ever be enough to atone for my sins-" "Are you reading from a fucking textbook? Narrating a story?" "- And there will never be an excuse for his killing, I want to let you know that I'm dedicated- dedicated to never causing such harm again. I will continue serving the government obediently, without indulging in any further damaging activities. You may punish me as you see fit." Sihyeon ended, catching her breath. It felt like she'd just recited a speech, but there was no response from the audience. The pressure on her back disappeared, leaving Sihyeon to topple over. She hissed at the pain, cradling in on herself. Her fingers twitched lightly, vision blurring. "I think we can make some improvements." Sihyeon's only chance to repent was now. There was no place for her self-pity. She let out a shaky breath as she massaged her side lightly. "Don't let that bother you." Kurai spoke, voice stern. The hits weren't meant to incapacitate her, he'd meant to remind her that whatever pain that came her way, was nothing in comparison to what she'd caused. It was all deserved. Sihyeon could almost collapse as the door creaked open.

anger ( whumpril )
@whumpril - d6 - bad coping mechanisms. this one's a little shorter than usual and a bit late too but yoinks CW: perspective of whumper, lady/female whump, whump of a minor ( 17 y/o), general beating & tasing, authoritative & strict whumper w/ somewhat of a conscience, whumper w a shitty childhood (lol) Kurai walked hurriedly though the halls, storming through them, rather. His hands curled into tight fists, itching to get his hands on something, anything. He should've kept away from his mother after all. "Kurai...once I get out, you'll help your mother, right?" He had no obligation to help that woman. The woman who ruined his innocence, his childhood. The woman who drank day in and day out, despite her empty promises. He would never file for a prison visit for her again. He made his way towards 79's room, fumbling for the keycard. This was his only outlet. Nobody would dare question the girl if she showed up to her shifts all bloody and battered, the only assumption being she'd done something to deserve it. After all, did a demon have to do something to truly deserve a beating? The halls were half empty during lunch break, so he wouldn't have to deal with the guard that stood ground outside 79's room. Kurai stopped briefly before using the keycard, flexing his knuckles. They'd most likely cause inconvenience later. He stepped in, noticing the girl arranging her bed. She instantly turned to look at him the moment the door creaked open. Kurai made sure he'd locked it from the inside. As if he hadn't been fuming with anger a few moments ago, he tucked his hands into his pocket.
Breathe. You'll need it later. He told himself before exhaling, and looking his subordinate in the eye. "What are you doing?" "I just...came back from my shift. I'm cleaning up." The girl spoke flatly, breaking eye contact and continuing with her current task. Her thin hands moved along with her, silently folding the mattress. He'd rather see her hands tremble beneath her own weight. "Good. That means there's nothing you need to do later in the day." Kurai spoke, now folding up his sleeves. He watched 79 slowly back away as he approached her. "No...why?" "Then you don't have to worry about the pain till tomorrow." The girl's lips parted, realizing her predicament. His fist collided with her cheek the next moment. Kurai watched her stumble back, eyes wide in surprise. He grabbed her by the collar, kneeing her right below the solar plexus. 79 let out a small squeal, crumbling to the ground when he let go of her. The girl coughed and spluttered before his feet, clutching her stomach. Control. Control was what he needed, and this is how he would get it.
Kurai didn't exactly keep track of what he did to her in the next few minutes, but he knew the damage he was doing. Every time she curled in on herself when he kicked her, every time she screamed or cried out in the moment of everything, every hit he landed harder than the last. Kurai ignored her pleas and soft repetitions of "I didn't do anything this time." He kneeled before her ridiculously thin, wheezing frame on the floor, bloody fist now retracting. "Why-?" The girl croaked out, blood coating her hair and face, dripping down her mouth and nose. Tears mixed with with red ran down her cheeks as she glared at him with trembling eyes. "What?"
"Why are you doing this to me?!" She yelled out, voice cracking, clearly glazed with pain. Kurai drove his fist into her torso, hearing a slight crack followed by her half scream-sob. "Sorry. Didn't mean to hit that hard." He mumbled, and stepped a few blocks back to catch his breath, as if recovering from an hour long workout.
"Because.." He started off, recalling how his mother demanded he fuel her alcohol addiction even in prison. Send me a few bottles, she'd said. Kurai gazed at the ground, suddenly urging himself to avoid the girl's eyes. "I visited my mom in prison after a while, today. She successfully pissed me off. She hasn't changed a bit." He looked up at the girl, gaping at him in what she found to be mixture of disbelief and exhaustion. "I'm really, really angry." Kurai stated matter-of-factly. He pulled out the taser from his uniform, watching 79 scoot away till her back hit the wall. "No. Nonono. Please. Don't use that. Please!" 79 begged, half sobbing and coughing. For some reason, that made him feel shitty and he couldn't figure out why. "Bear it." Kurai spoke. He thrust the taser into her probably, no, most definitely injured ribs, watching her scream and writhe beneath the current. A few more seconds passed before he granted her relief. Kurai got up, fixing his uniform and caressing his bruised knuckles. The girl had curled in on herself, convulsing and gasping for air. Kurai ran a hand through his hair, hoping the frustration would seep out of him moments later. He unlocked the door, walking out of the room, leaving the youngster to steam in her own suffering. Yet somehow, now that it was over, Kurai felt even worse than before. This inevitably called for a call with his counsellor, it seemed.

had enough? - febuwhump d2
wahahaha it's my first febuwhump ever. i'm excited! with my schedule, i obviously won't be covering everything but i'm hoping to do atleast a few. enjoy! cw: lady/female whump, whump of 18 y/o, reference to previous beatings & long term captivity. gen themes of whumpee's mental health just spiraling till the point they're starting to become desensitized to pain - @febuwhump - day 2; "Flinching" Kurai Sorano walked into her cell room with the same annoying poise and confidence he displayed, but to Sihyeon, it was a grim reminder of who this man truly was beneath the perfect exterior. "Come now, show me some enthusiasm. I'd rather not see you so sour when I'm stuck with you for the next hour."
She looked up at the man blankly, opening her mouth to voice the incoherent thoughts running through her head, but the words wouldn't leave her throat. She'd hoped to protest against today's lesson. To be honest, she was exhausted today. Deep down she'd had enough of all of it. There was absolutely no use cramming all the useless information about whatever the fuck was going on in the world if she wasn't stepping foot in it. He sat across her, eyes still looking down on her. "We're discussing the most recent conference. Read up." The I-pad in front of her lit up. Sihyeon recoiled instantly, the bright light blinding her for a few seconds. She covered her eyes, chains on her wrists clanking with the sudden movement. She was seriously done with all of his bullshit. "My bad." Her supervisor mentioned apologetically. "That was intentional." She replied, voice husky. Sorano raised an eyebrow. "You've made plenty of mistakes before, no?" "You did that on purpose." She spoke louder this time. "Watch your tone." "Fuck you." That bothered him enough to rise from his seat instantly. Somewhere in her head, she sounded resolute. For now though, all the man must've heard was her squeaky voice taking a dig at him. She was far from 'strong.' So she shut her mouth when he walked over to her side and grabbed her by the collar. She'd brought this upon herself. She turned her head to the side, seeing his fist pull back from the corner of her vision. She didn't want to look at the condescending look he gave her most of the time. "Should I knock out all your teeth so you don't think of opening that trap of yours again?" "Hurry up." "What?" "If you're going to punish me, get it over with. Make it fast." Kurai Sorano eyed her quitely. Sihyeon made sure her gaze was lowered, submissive, the way he preferred it. For once. "...You've had enough, huh? At one point, you used to have your back against the wall." "Hurry up." She repeated. She didn't flinch when his fist came crashing down on her face, nor did she resist. He didn't care enough to hold her in place as she dropped to her knees. The metallic taste in her mouth made her gag, and she was glad her hair covering her face didn't allow him the satisfaction of the absolute regret in her eyes. "Hah, not even flinching even a bit? I'm very impressed, it's better a sight than to see you cowering in the corner." There was a hint of amusement in his voice. It made her skin crawl. "I doubt I'll get a chance like this again. Besides, the past week has been ridiculously busy for me, so don't hold it against me if I get in a few hits." Made Sihyeon sick to her stomach, the type of man he was. Maybe she should've stuck to his classes instead. But she brought this upon herself. It wasn't long till she started screaming.

whump writers, when did your whumper realize they might be going too far with their methods concerning whumpee? when did their conscience ( if they have one ) prick at them? i'm interested! (pls dont flop pls dont flop pls dont flop pls dont flop pls) i'll go first, ( cw; lady whump, whump of 17 y/o minor, reference to beating and tasing ) taking kurai and sihyeon, whumper and whumpee respectively, if you've read even one post of mine regarding these 2, you might have an idea of kurai sorano. man has an image to maintain and a temper to keep at bay. every supervisor is given a taser just in case their assigned subordinates start "acting out", but the man doesn't need the taser, sihyeon is well acquainted with his fists and boots. unfortunately. there's been multiple times when she's gotten too far on his nerves and been dealt with a "well-earned" beating, but he always avoids the taster bc funny enough he has no problem thrashing his subordinates with rods or just a plain knockdown but draws the line at tasers for some reason. but i digress, back to the original question. does your whumper ever hesitate, even a bit, when they see someone else's blood smearing their clothes, their hands, the skin on their knuckles tearing and their own blood mixing with theirs of the victim from landing too many blows, do they stop for a breather? kurai sure does. so when he needed his personal punching bag for purpose again, he couldn't help but stop dead for a moment when he heard the crack for the third time. he muttered under his breath that he didn't mean to hit that hard, and out of impulse took out the taser instead. it would knock her out quickly, right? but there was something that stirred in him when the girl's trembling, bloodied hands reached to protect her own torso, as if there was absolutely anything in there to protect her from the incoming pain. something set him off, even though the girl's twitching and wheezing figure at his feet should have been unsettling enough. did she think that he was so cruel that he'd drive a taser straight into her broken ribs? was he that cruel? did he look that cruel to her right now? the pure terror he saw in the girl's eyes a few seconds before, now covered by her blood-matted hair couldn't say otherwise. it sure took kurai all his strength to throw the taser to the ground and just settle for a kick to the face to knock her out somehow. maybe he does need to keep his anger in check. eh, he'll "make it up" to the girl by reducing her service time.

Contract
CW: Reference to long-term captivity, labor & beatings, referenced whump of a female minor [ 17y ], authoritative & intimidating whumper The door clicked open. Sihyeon had no interest in looking up at the man shutting the door after him. Her bloodlust had gotten so fierce that last night she dreamt of her supervisor's murder. Yet he now sat down in front of her, still alive, still breathing, still mocking her existence. The only things that stopped her from clawing his throat out were the cuffs, chains, rather. And the sturdy glass wall that drew the line between her and the rest of the world. Kurai Sorano made himself comfortable in the chair across her, lazily placing a bunch of papers on the table, continuing to open the tiny hatch in the glass and sliding the papers to her side. "It's something you'll be interested in, probably." She didn't speak. She was tired from the day's exertion, the beating she took during the week, and just in general, everything. Sihyeon's eyes darted to the documents, a jumble of words decorating them. From "Latent" to "Public Welfare", nothing she understood nor was she interested in. She looked away. "Read it, girl. You want to get out of here, don't you?" The man said, disinterest coating his voice. Get out? How long it had been since she'd been outcasted, she'd lost track. She'd given up on it. There was no way out of this. "Prime Minister's courtesy." "Then I definitely don't want it." Sihyeon spoke for the first time in, hours? Days? Her voice was too hoarse, denoting the lack of use for casual conversation. "Oh, I know you very well do. You went on a murder spree to try and escape over a year ago. Now you're getting the easy way out, Sihyeon." Her eyes widened. Sihyeon. That was her name. Her head jerked up to look the man in the eye. "My name. Why-?" Kurai chuckled. "I don't usually bother looking up the names, but since you'll be directly under me, I made an exception. We've got all your information, should it really be that surprising?" His tone had changed. Sihyeon recognized it. That same tone of voice that rang in her ears before agony ensued. A pen now rolled to her side from the hatch. "I don't care if you don't want to read it, you're going to sign it regardless." She'd begun shivering. What was even on the paper? Had she forgotten how to read? Sihyeon scanned the papers for any sense of familiarity, not being able to make sense of anything. Something about training periods, exams, supervisors, public service, she didn't get it. "I don't understand.." Kurai sighed. "Like I said, easy way out. Work for us under some conditions, and things will be much easier. I don't plan on giving you the comfort of ease, though." "Work with you?" Sihyeon snarled. It came off much nasty than she'd intended, but to hell with it, she didn't mind screaming obscenities at the man till her throat was raw. "Yeah, me. Now, there's the pen and paper, sign the fucking contract." She nodded in hesitation. "You don't want to walk out of this place with an even worse black eye. Don't make me come over there, please." Sihyeon froze. What should she do? What could she do? Cave in? To the government? She muttered something along the lines of "would die before I work with you..." but she couldn't hear herself. Her judgement felt so, so clouded. What would be easy? What would be hard? She'd probably understand more if she actually read the papers- Kurai Sorano didn't wait. He snatched the papers away before she could lay a hand on them. "Fine, then. Die in this shithole of a place. You'll spare me the trouble, anyway." No, wait. She wanted to get out. Right? Was this a chance to make things better, or was it another ploy? "Wait." She fumbled out by the time her supervisor had stood up, already heading for the door. He didn't seem to have heard. You're gonna wanna take that chance, love. "I'll do it." She said, louder, this time. Kurai now standing in the doorway, looked back at her. "Give me those papers." The man smiled. "Good girl."

unwanted reminders
CW: lady/female whump, implied past torture & abuse, scarring, whump of 18 y/o, implied long term captivity, memory loss as a trauma response, prelude to beating/caning, non human whumpee There were scars. And she couldn't figure out where they'd come from. Sihyeon barely had any recollection of what truly happened in the secondary facility she'd been shipped off to for around 2 months. It seemed like a tradition for her to get beaten to shit wherever she went with the government, though, and most times she never remembered anything beyond fading in & out of consciousness. Perhaps it was better off not knowing. A burden off all the other memories. She slowly unpacked the bag that'd been thrown at her, grimacing at her own bloodied fucking uniform from who knows what happened. They hadn't even bothered to wash it or give her a new pair. Fuck's sake, that's the first thing she'd be doing returning. Dirty laundry.
There was a click. She tensed up almost immediately, her body pausing automatically. The double-bolt combination being set, and the lock clinking. The light clacking of Sorano's boots. She always remembered what followed after this. Pure, brutal agony that cracked ribs and drew blood. Left bruises for weeks. Her lips quivered, and she shut her eyes. Inhale. Exhale. "Welcome back, 79." Sihyeon didn't turn to face him. A tinge of pain flared up in her back and shoulders as if his steel-heeled boot was already pressing down on her figure. She felt her brows furrow, preparing for the upcoming hurt, but her face slowly dropped. It didn't matter anymore.
"On your knees. Precautionary Measure. Just to make sure you haven't forgotten your place." She didn't look up to meet his gaze, either. The scraping of the cane from the corner was her cue to detach. Sihyeon let Kurai throw her to the ground when her body refused to move an inch, knees grinding against concrete. She started to spiral way too early into it.

no escape (angstpril)
CW: interrogation whump, lady/female whump AND whump of a minor (17 y/o), stress position (?), beating, reference to whumpee being manipulated/betrayed, reference to long-term captivity, non-human whumpee Kurai towered over Sihyeon. She'd been restrained against a pillar for a little more than an hour, her arms throbbing for relief. She'd twisted and turned in an attempt for the slightest of comfort, which was obviously futile. "Your companions are in custody. They've already tattled on you. All that's left is for you to confess." Kurai Sorano said softly, his voice firm. Unusually firm, as if trying to warn her, that she was in deep shit. That certainly seemed to be the case, as Sihyeon's experience with the man told her that whenever he spoke low, he spoke the harshest words. A prelude to pain, sort of.
"That's a lie. I've told you so many times, that's a lie!" She squealed out, tasting blood in her mouth. Before Kurai knocked her out cold, he'd made sure to land a few of the hardest hits she'd ever received. She was treading on thin ice, already. At the current moment, all the evidence was against her. The cameras caught her approaching the guard first, stealing the keys first. She was gullible. To think anybody would look out for each other in this wretched place, was gullible. "I'm getting fucking tired of hearing that," Kurai groaned, running a hand through his air. His black boot made contact with her jaw, sending Sihyeon reeling to the side. She coughed, her ears ringing. The pain in her jaw spread to her entire face and down to her spine. She was sure she'd pulled a muscle in her neck, too. The man let her process the hit, let her take her time to regain her composure. Kurai kneeled to her level, instantly reaching for her throat. Sihyeon tensed, grunting at his grip. "Do I need to choke the answer out of you again?" No. Please, No. She hated that feeling with all her existence. The lack of air, the tightening of his hand on her throat, her consciousness slipping moment by moment, the panic of the entire thing, the thought of it filled her with dread. "It was all a ploy-" Sihyeon breathed out, "They approached me first! Look, I know it was wrong for me to even think of escaping, but I didn't start it all, I swear on that-" He released his grip on her, his eyes watching her slump against the pillar, gasping for air after letting out the string of words. "Is that so? We've been told you threatened to leak out information of the handicapped elder brother missing his quotas when he was sick as a breaking of the rules. Using this against the two, you asked them to help you break out, did you not?" Kurai asked, flexing his fingers. She caught a glimpse of his bruised knuckles. "Despite knowing there's no escape? Despite knowing the consequences? How dare you drag others into your delusional bullshit?" Sihyeon nodded a 'no' frantically not completely sure what she was saying no to. Her supervisor eyed her still slumping against the pillar, her muscles aching. She scrunched her eyes shut, pain distributing all over her bruised body now. She tried to gather her thoughts over the incident, tried to recall every single detail that she could use to put forth her innocence. "Fine. I have absolutely no problem beating the answer out of you." Sihyeon watched the man's boots move out from her field of vision for a few seconds. The sound of metal scraping had her on guard immediately. Kurai stood in front of her now, a whole chair in his hand. Her eyes widened in terror at the sight. She intended to plead for him to listen, but he brought down the metal chair on her restrained figure before 'the poor girl' had a chance to utter a single word.

wake up (whumpril)
@whumpril d19 - choking. CW: lady/female whump, whump of a minor (17 Y/O), implied possession, side character death, non human whumpee
Sihyeon's consciousness was flooded and vacant at the same time. It floated deep within the abyss, yet the shackles of the demon pulled on her very soul. The grip it had on her consciousness was astounding. Astounding, but faltering. The bloodlust, the longing for destruction, all the vices that plagued her mind, slowly let go. The demon had reached it's limit, it's desire for human suffering and agony saturated. It dragged her back to the surface, after keeping her in the dark for who knows how long. In truth, Sihyeon had to intention to resist the overpowering of her consciousness, nor did she intend to take it back. But it played her like a violin, controlled her like a puppet. She didn't intend to- but it wouldn't let her go back to sleep.
Sihyeon's mind revolted against the sudden intrusion, reality clawing on her to return. It was nauseating, brain ripping. Don't. Don't let me go back to living. The demon paid no attention to her wishes. She could almost feel it laughing, mocking her for being so goddamned weak. This is your punishment for not being strong enough to resist. Everything around her spun in a volatile manner, forcing her to regain control over her body. It felt unreal, to be granted command over her senses after lurking in the void. Her hearing came back first. Screams and shouts of all sorts, loud whirring from everywhere. Her hands felt warm, shrouded in long, black pointy claws. She'd see them in her dreams. Chasing after her, and catching her every time. She'd recognize them anywhere. They belonged to her demon.
"Come back." Sihyeon blinked, the confusion reaching it's peak. She was on her knees, the figure of a man towering over her. He trembled, grasping at the black mist piercing his chest. His eyes were glassy. "Are you...back? Thank goodness.." He spluttered blood, some of it landing on Sihyeon's tattered uniform. The lights blinded her, multiple other outlines of people now visible. Her eyes shifted to her own arm, outreached- The murky, black cursed energy emanating from her pierced the man's chest. Sihyeon began to quiver. Her eyes grew wide, the black smoke around her slowly dissipating. "This is...not your fault. None of...this. Is your fault." He whispered, again. Sihyeon shrieked, instantly retracting. Everything, everyone around her began to move fast. The man collapsed onto the murky soil as the claws that coated Sihyeon's hands vanished into nothingness. His body went limp. What the fuck was happening? Heavy pairs of footsteps grew closer. There was more screaming and shouting, now. Inaudible sentences being yelled over loudspeakers. Whirring of helicopters. Sihyeon backed away, fingers clenching at the soil. The stench of fresh blood filled the air. She hadn't noticed that earlier. Blood seeped into her clothes, every part of her body now aching. Hands reached out for the unmoving figure beside her, yelling out his name. Her eyes rang. Nobody approached her. Sihyeon looked up, now. She was at the very gates of the facility. There were vehicles everywhere, bright flashing lights brightening up the sky. Dead bodies. Dead bodies. There were dead bodies. Everywhere. Sihyeon let out a shaky breath. What had happened? Why did the overwhelming stench of blood reek in her nostrils? Why was she here? "YOU-!" There's a shrill yelling approaching closer. Kurai Sorano is inches away from her. There's an indiscernible expression on his face, yet it is contorted into what Sihyeon can think of as rage. A steel boot struck her jaw, sending her reeling backwards. Sihyeon yelped in surprise. The air and ground were cold, the soil rubbing into her skin. Kurai grabbed her by the collar straddled her now, fist instantly colliding with her face. Ripples of pain engulfed her senses as punch after punch rained down on her hysterically. Demon. Demon. Explain. Her mind was empty. No response echoed back. Sihyeon brought up her bloodied hands in a feeble, useless attempt to protect herself from the oncoming barrage, spitting out blood. A jarring hit to her stomach made her gasp in pain, her arms instinctively moving to shield her softer parts from further damage. A firm hand latched at her throat. "You monster. You fucking bitch." Kurai seethed, both his hands now clasping Sihyeon's neck. "I'm going to kill you here and now." Every muscle in her body tensed, screaming for relief. His grip grew tighter every moment. Sihyeon clawed at his hands with bloody fingers, gasping for air. Sihyeon's eyes pleaded with Sorano, but there was pure rage in the man's eyes. She'd seen anger, frustration and boredom before. Not rage. Sihyeon thrashed under his weight, fading in and out of consciousness. Air. She needed air. She couldn't breathe. Panic rose in her, but it barely gave her the strength to do anything. The corners of her vision steadily grew darker. Let go. Let go of me. Please. Please! Her fingers slowly slid off his grip, clenching at the soil. More screams enveloped her surroundings as she weakly sensed Kurai being dragged off her. Sihyeon immediately heaved, moving to her side. She clawed at her own collar, desperately trying to breathe in as much air as she could get. There was a sharp ringing in her ears. The chaos didn't matter anymore. Sihyeon curled in on herself, letting her sentience fade into nothingness.

afternoon visit (whumpril)
aftermath of anger. @whumpril d9 - bruises. CW: lady/female whump, whump of a minor (17 y/o), aftermath of beating, long term captivity ref, stoic-ish/unbothered caretaker, non human semi-defiant whumpee "You're always either the first or last patient of the clinic." Felicia mumbled, patting away the remaining blood off Sihyeon's face. Every time the wet cloth made contact with her skin, she'd retract from the staff, trying to push them away. Today, there was no resistance from her. All she did was sit on the bed, IV hooked into her bloodstream. Once Kurai had left her all alone in her 'room' after the horrific beating, she'd thrown her guts out before passing out cold. Felicia placed a pill in Sihyeon's open palm, a glass of water in the other. She looked beyond the woman above her. Although her expression was that of annoyance, she gently dabbed at her injuries.
"What do you do that pisses off your supervisor so much?" Sihyeon didn't reply. Her mind replayed his words. "I'm really, really angry."
She was angry, too. She'd been very careful with her behavior for the past few weeks. Obedient and docile as he'd told her to be. Next time, she'd ask him what she'd done to deserve such a violent 'punishment.' Sihyeon winced when the cloth touched her eye. For now, it wasn't unbearable, but a more than mild throbbing. However, her ribcage sent piercing pain running through her body at every slight movement. A light bandage had been wrapped around her torso by Felicia, but it provided no relief whatsover. "Sorry. I think it'll swell shut at this point. You should be glad nobody's here except you today, otherwise they'd be staring at how bad you look right now." Come to think of it, what was she the most proud of when she was living as a human? Her appearance. No doubt, Sihyeon was one of the prettiest girls at school, always had heads turning. She hadn't looked into the mirror for a long time. Maybe she wouldn't ever again. Sihyeon swallowed the pill in her palm along with the water, glad she didn't vomit it out. She massaged her aching forehead softly, a headache accompanying all her problems since the last half an hour or so.
"You've got a broken nose. Do you have trouble breathing, or inhaling?" Sihyeon mouthed a no. Felicia handed her an ice pack. "Use that for wherever you feel pain." The woman returned to her desk, wrapping up the medical supplies. "You've also gotten a mild concussion, it'll heal on it's own as long as you stay here and rest." Felicia stated blankly. Sihyeon carefully pressed the ice pack onto the right side of her face, a soft moan exiting her lips at the cool yet stinging sensation. The door of the clinic creaked open with Saruhi walking in. "Felicia, hi. Did Kurai drop by-?" Her supervisor's colleague instantly noticed Sihyeon. There was an awkward silence that followed. "Hello, Warden. No, he did not. Can I help you with anything else?" "Nope, thanks anyways." Saruhi crossed her arms. "You again?" Sihyeon did not make eye contact. "Those are some really nasty bruises you've got there. You look like you've been hit by a truck." "The truck's to blame." Sihyeon replied, caressing her bruised and swollen face. "Let me guess, did you refuse to get to your shift? Alternatively, did you do something stupid at your shift?" "Fuck you." "It seems you insulted Kurai or talked back again." "I didn't do shit." Saruhi tilted her head, her expression somewhat mocking Sihyeon. A twitch of frustration rose in her, instantly repressed by her aching body. "He wouldn't beat the crap out of you like this for no reason. You always do something to end up here." Sihyeon clutched the blanket and pursed her lips, instantly regretting it. Her split lip gave her as much trouble as everything else. Sihyeon lifted the ice pack off her cheek and moved it to her jaw, calming herself down. Saruhi shrugged. If her existence upset Kurai Sorano so much, she might as well stop fucking breathing. "He said he was angry." "At what?" "Hell if I know." Sihyeon laid down on her back, pulling the blanket over her shoulder and shifting to her side. She felt a sharp twinge as she moved, whimpering involuntarily. She squeezed her eyes shut. "Careful, you idiot. I don't want extra stuff to deal with." Sihyeon used the silence in the room to let analyze how the ice felt on her skin. Although it stung, a feeling she'd gotten incredibly used to, it gave her some sort of consolation. That no matter how much he'd hurt her, something, someone, would come after the hurt. It'd been a few months since she'd been at the facility, and that had been the case. So she could keep going, right? Sihyeon shifted the ice to the left. She didn't bring up Kurai's mention of his mother to Saruhi. "I'll be back after lunch to tend to you later. The painkillers should take effect till then." Sihyeon waited till she was sure the two women had walked out of the door. The medic's clinic was completely empty, save for her and clock on the wall's ticking. She blinked for a few seconds before the tears starting falling. Endlessly, till fatigue overtook her senses.
