Happy new year, I think Ice typing in pokemon should lose the rock weakness. I think it should also gain a resistance to grass and possibly water. I think it should also be super affective against water and have a higher chance to freeze water types with freezing moves. I think this would not break ice types but make them not as vulnerable as they currently are.

I want to kiss translators on the mouth for the godly work being done, but please. Please engage with native speakers in both the language you're translating from and to.

This is not a criticism of anyone's hard work but a nudge to say that some things are being partially translated*.*Direct translation - this is very rarely correct 100% of the time. There is also often rigidity in the text. That's why you need a native speaker for the translated copy.

The ideal mix for the translated text is a proofreader/editor/copywriter who can smooth out the flow as well as correct any misinterpretations. Con to this is that it is largely based on the person's understanding of the text which is why you need a native person for the source material so that they can query each other.

I do this for work in multiple languages; not Thai unfortunately (yet!). So if anyone is working on translating texts and needs a native English speaker familiar with the process, I am absolutely willing to help out. It may be a slow process though.

I IMMENSELY dislike the way Daemon's been portrayed with his daughters (and it's non canon as far as I care) BUT I wonder if they may tackle Nettles from the perspective that Daemon takes her in and wants to try and do better by her than he did Baela and Rhaena? I don't want her portrayed as just some replacement, but him learning from his mistakes. I think that'd be interesting, especially since I don't know why exactly she was taken in by him in the books, I don't think it was ever said?

We still have three episodes left in season 01 to see how Daemon will be with his daughters. Season 02 is two years away. We will find out then re: Nettles.

Let's wait to find out. In the meantime, why don't we see what happens with Daemon and his daughters THIS season where there are three more episodes yet to watch.

In the first two episodes in which they were present, Daemon was in a very depressive state, and we DID see Daemon show a good relationship with one of them. The other, he held back, BECAUSE of that depressed state.

So, let's just wait.... and watch the episodes that we have before jumping ahead to a season that is two years away.

A Day In The Life: Background Characters (Naruto)

Today was a solemn day. Just like the ones before it. I went to the market to get some pears. I got there just in time. They were almost out.

When I got home, our little dog, Chimpy, went berserk. He always does when I get home from the market. I can always count on him to give me a little joy in my life. 

My son, Ronin, is still out on his C-Rank mission with his squad. I’m just glad it’s only a C-Rank mission. This way, I won’t worry myself to death about what he’s doing or if he’s okay. 

Though most days are the same, I’ll occasionally receive some excitement. Some ninja will fly over the buildings and it will remind me of when I was a boy. 

Back then, anything seemed possible. I felt I could conquer the world if I so desired. But all I desired was to protect it. 

Though things are much different now. Everything changed for me when I met Maria, my lovely wife. She’s always kept me down to Earth, rather than in the clouds.

Speaking of clouds: I’m reminded of an old story a was once told as a ---HOLY SHIT WHAT THE FUCK A GIANT SNAKE JUST DESTROYED MY HOUSE!!! FUCK YOU, OROCHIMARU!!!!
