#kryptonite is hardened ectoplasm

Ok so y'all've likely hear of the whole "kryptonite is hardened ectoplasm" thing (which can def make sense considering it's made from all the death having seeped into the now destroyed krypton if that one little snippet of information was telling the truth and I'm remembering it right) and I bring you:
Ghosts not only eat kryptonite but there's also a subsection species that actively lived on/visited krypton pre-nonexistence to hunt kryptonions and that's why kryptonions are so invulnerable and have all the powers that they have. Its how they evolved to withstand their predators (ghosts).
So like, imagine if Clark and Kara both get an intense prey-reaction of they ever meet Danny. And maybe Jon and Kon both get really anxious but it's less so than full kryptonions! And really Clark wouldn't know why he's so terrified of a teen that doesn't even reach his shoulders unless he asks The Fortress or Kara tells him. Maybe even Danny doesn't know and sometimes gets the urge to chase down a Super or automatically focuses on any of them when in the same room–never looking away from his prey the Super the entire time.
Idk I just think it'd be neat!

DC X DP PROMPT #16
Mr. Lancer is the brother of Lex Luthor. He never really had an eye for business, or invention, or innovation. He just wanted to be a teacher, spread the good word on literature. Which is the whole reason he had changed his name and moved to the middle of nowhere.
He does not appreciate his brother delivering a package in his door. Not delivering it personally, not even sending a physical person to do a drop off. Just a measly note.
'hold onto this for me - L.L.'
What has Lex ever done for him? Nothing, that's what. So Mr. Lancer does the sensible thing. He opens the box to investigate to find - hardened ectoplasm?
Mr. Lancer knows about Danny and co. Au where Kryptonite is just hardened Ecto and is basically rock candy. Lex sends his brother a shit ton of kryptonite for safe keeping thinking 'he lives in the middle of nowhere what's he gonna do with it?' he feeds it to Danny :)

You know that trope where kryptonite is hardened ectoplasm? Well ectoplasm and emotion is the main building block of ghosts. They need ectoplasm to keep themselves solid, and their system is something similar to a respiratory cycle where a ghost intakes emotion-filled ectoplasm and releases it back into the world completely devoid. Basically, they are like plants.
What I'm trying to ask is, in this scenario, is Clark allergic to Danny?
Does he start sneezing whenever they are in the same room? After extended contact does he get a mild cold? Is Clark even able to set foot in Amity without immediately getting a fever?

Going off the kyrptonite is basically hardened ectoplasm.
The league is monitoring the kyrptonite market and checking around. Scanning the earth for large deposits. Pick up what they assume is a drop of somekind for what must be a large quantity of kyrptonite. In some small town in Illinois.
When they get to amity park. They don’t find any actual kryptonite. But green beings and a boy who the sensors keep going off on.

ectoberhaunt2023 day 22-portal shenanigans TW- none summary- Danny gets flung int the DCU and decides to become a villain
ao3 ectoberhaunt masterlist part 1 of TCAB
Danny was feeling so done with Clockwork right now. All Danny had said was that he wanted a break from his kingly duties. Clockwork had told him to come to the Long Now. And okay. Danny could admit that he should have been more suspicious or at least cautious. But still!
Wanting a break was not the same as having Clockwork toss him through a random portal where he’d be able to ‘destress.’ This was the opposite of destressing and Danny would make sure Clockwork knew it when the old clock decided to let him go back.
Danny sighed. He didn’t even know where he was. What was he even supposed to do?
He was in some kind of large city and he remembered Clockwork saying something about superheroes before yeeting Danny through the portal.
What superheroes lived here Danny had no idea, and honestly, he didn’t really care enough to find out.
Maybe Danny though, since there were already heroes here, Danny could be a villain.
Yes, that was a brilliant idea. Danny grinned, aware that his smile was stretching too wide for his face.
But what to do, what to do.
He obviously didn’t want to be a terrible, no good, very bad villain. He didn’t want to kill people or steal from people who were struggling. So obviously he just had to steal from the rich.
And how convenient. That was definitely a skyscraper over there.
Danny flew in that direction not caring enough to read the name on the side of the building.
He arrived invisibly and used his intangibility to fly down to the deepest level. The most interesting things were always hidden in the basement. Danny would know. They had a ghost portal in theirs and Vlad had a creepy lab in his.
And ohhh!!!! Those were some shiny rocks. They looked like ectoplasm but solid. He wondered…
Danny flew forward and grabbed as many as he could carry, stuffing the rest into one of his pocket dimensions. Pocket dimensions were a very nice perk of being the Ancient of Space, if only he had inherited the power of remembering where he put things. Oh well. He’d find them eventually.
Danny carried out five pieces with him as he flew up through the building. He’d only just gotten outside when someone loudly and sanctimoniously proclaimed, “Halt.”
Danny paused and took in the sight of a man dressed in blue and wearing red underwear over his clothing.
“Dude, you look so cringy.” Was that mean? Oh well. It’s not like Danny would be in this dimension very long.
The man gaped at him and then narrowed his eyes when he saw what Danny was carrying. Then he flew farther backwards.
“Drop the Kryptonite.”
Was that what this was? “Finders keepers.”
“Kid, leave the Kryptonite and we can talk.”
“Why would I want to talk with you?”
The man’s expression hardened and Danny grinned.
“Are they yours?” Danny asked.
“Listen, it’s extremely dangerous. So, you need to put them down.”
Danny frowned. “These things aren’t dangerous. See?” Danny said and stuck one in his mouth. It tasted kind of tangy but also sweet. It was actually pretty good. He popped the other two into his mouth and the older man gaped at him.
“What did you do!”
Danny laughed maniacally like all the good villains do. “You will neer get your shiny rocks back.” Danny laughed again before going invisible and flying away, stifling his laughter behind his hands.
This was actually pretty fun. Maybe Clockwork was onto something.
