I can do this all day!
thinking about Atton's ability to never get knocked out as long as a teammate is still up, no matter how beaten and broken he gets

I would have killed the galaxy to preserve you. I would have let the galaxy die. You are more rare than you know, and what you have taught yourself must not be allowed to die.
And it is for that that I love you.

History in Star Wars is weird. Like more or less nobody could ever have the full picture because records were lost, kept hidden from the public, or just weren’t kept in the first place. For example, the only people who would know the full story of the Siege of Mandalore are Ahsoka, Maul, Rex, and presumably Bo-Katan. Everyone else is either dead or didn’t have the full picture.
And the Sith? I’m not even sure if they know their own history in full considering how easily forgotten Malachor was. The galaxy as a whole outside of maybe somebody like Luthen Rael would have no clue what happened with the Sith unless they dedicated years of study to their history and didn’t get killed in the process.
