In my mind Bee is less scarred because he plans more before jumping into a fight. Cliffjumper however… well, He’s just very lucky to be alive. (He’s not unskilled just very bad at planning before jumping in)

If you were his bonkers little fairy willing to sit with him after all he's done he would absolutely not get it. He definitely thinks you're a bit crazy- you must be, if he's the person you're choosing to spend all your free time with. He may even try to shoo you away at first, baffled and even a bit frustrated at your dogged stubbornness.

Over time, though? He'd definitely warm up to you. It's not always obvious, he has a pretty good poker face after all. But every once in a while he'll read his writing out loud to you as you sit on his shoulder, or stroke your head or cheek with a calloused thumb, achingly gentle. If he found a fairy that was really willing to stick around he'd be incredibly protective, keeping you out of the way of genuine harm as well as Rodimus's grabby hands.

Are the jettwins here (ie knightformers)? They could be very fun! Wyvern riders? Maybe not part of main group for some reason?? Did Iacon just find some eggs and go “hey there’s these silly kids we will make them wyvern riders”? Though of course the whole *gestures vaguely in direction of massive physiological(?) differences between Autobots and Decepticons esp or at least relevantly wrt flight* that the jettwins are about is kind of a TFA-specific thang. Silly wyvern riding guys tho. With magic? Perhaps?

YES the jettwins are here because of course because i love them(and because pink needs her soup)

I think the jettwins would be two of the last students of the wyvern rider's academy before it was shut down by the war. the twins never able to actually graduate but hey, it being wartime, why NOT let them fly!!?

due to their younger age, these two mostly end up on high speed courier/messenger work, though they frequently find excuses to stick their noses into people's business when they arent in iacon.

How does Soundwave feel about fairies? Does he have one just because he wants to take care of them?

Soundwave is surprisingly gentle with the fairies compared to other Decepticons! He's probably got one that he found when they were injured and nursed them back to health, then ended up keeping them in order to study. While Shockwave and Pharma are more interested in capturing and dissecting fairies to see how they generate magic, Soundwave would rather study and observe their spellcasting and behavior patterns. At the moment the fairy is making the decision to stay with him, but even if they did try to run away Ravage would quickly track them back down.

He knows that fairies are not technically "beasts", and are just as cognizant as the average knight or paladin, but he doesn't really care. He kinds of thinks it's the ultimate challenge, to tame the untameable, to have even a fairy bending to his will and fighting for him like his other beasts.

Honestly, the biggest threat to the safety of Soundwave's preferred fairy isn't Soundwave himself, but rather his pair of clumsy squires. Rumble and Frenzy are fascinated by them but also pretty unaware of their own strength, so Ravage will often step in to rescue them from the twins' grabbing hands in lieu of Soundwave. Ravage has threatened to eat the fairy should they misbehave on more than one occasion, but also lets them ride around on his back without comment, so they're having a hard time judging whether he actually likes their company or not!

"Ey, boss, we were just studyin'! You're da one who told us we gotta learn more about the weird beasties!"

"Fairies: Not beasts. Research methods: needlessly damaging. Further education clearly required."
