new merch line. you know the drill

first of all, i don’t hate this line. I think most of the boys are drawn pretty well. but what a strange concept? the diaboys.. as priests? “dark” anti christ priests but still.. strange? it’s unique at least?

my only real complaint with ayato is how his mouth looks weird. c’mon he’s a vampire, show me the fangs. c’mon let him do the iconic bite the glove thing. it actually frustrates me how they missed that opportunity 😭 overall, he looks fine to me. there’s no detail i’m particularly drooling over. except for this one very specific detail that has me drooling over the triplets. & it’s the… halo?? like look at the triplets next to each other. ayato in the middle with his brothers on the side. i LOVE the way they’re turned with him in the middle 😫 on that note, i hate how shuu is at the end. if they just swapped subaru & shuu’s placements, we could’ve kept up with the turn thing the triplets + reiji were doing.

kanato looks a bit off, right? is it just me or are his eyebags less dark..? idk but he looks a bit off, to me at least. also.. is that teddy? kanato has been seen with more bears in the recent merch lines, but this one kinda looks like teddy.. except he’s so dark brown?? anyways, as off as he looks to me, i still really like him. he’s grown on me the more i look at him, i think he looks pretty, & i like the pose. also kanato with earring <3

shuu’s face is very very pretty, despite that there’s nothing really that interesting about his design to me. now he doesn’t look bad at all, just a tad boring in my opinion. other then that i’m crazy about how pretty they drew his face & hair <3

why is reiji so hot rn?? the face, the pose, the chained glasses, the ascot, my god reiji pull it back sir you are a priest. i originally thought his hair looked a little flat but i think that might’ve just been me. anyways, i love him so much <3

kou is so cute looking!! i think his priest getup looks so nice & pretty on him! i’m also a bit pink & black biased, but aside from that, i really do like him. i’m very pleased with this kou. he looks cute to me <3 i like his pose too <3

azusa so pretty like when does he not look ethereal? & yknow how much i love azusa with wings <3 i love how his wings have bandages on them. it’s so azusa. i don’t really like the design of the knife but oh well he still looks pretty

carla looks alright :/ i’m a bit disappointed tbh. I always love the black ribbon in his hair, but it’s just meh here. of course i love seeing it, but not my favorite appearance of it 😔 i really don’t like the weird wind blowing thing that’s going on with him. especially with this video quality, some of his details look bad to me. like that specific strand of hair blown too close to his mouth. looks fine in higher quality, & up close, but at quick glance.. not so much. i also just don’t love the angle. it could’ve been better (imo) but he’s fine overall

KINO IS JUST GIVING IN THAT POSE. he’s got the most unique pose so he stands out the most. i’m also a fan of how his color complements the black. he just looks so fucking pretty to me & i just love his tongue sticking out. he’s one of my favorite looks tbh i just love him

i’m living for laito in that shade of green 😫 i think his hair & face look so pretty here. i wish i had more to say since i really do like how he looks here. also, i cannot stop thinking about that church scene 😭

subaru’s pose feels familiar? like not from DL but maybe it’s inspired by a religious figure?? it’s been days & I still can’t figure it out? he’s alright. his hair is a bit too flat looking for me. i like how the hints of red on his outfit look

i’m so sorry ruki fans but i personally really don’t care for this design. he’s giving a little too much priest for me 😭 pls don’t crucify me

i’m a really big fan of the way yuma’s clothes hug his figure. it’s so so pretty. nothing else in particular catches my fancy sadly.

i’m sorry but i really don’t like how thick shin’s eyepatch is? i feel like they’ve done this before & i really don’t like it. other then that he’s fine? nothing too wow in my opinion but not horrible looking

Kino: The King of Ghouls

(moodboard + plot headcanons)

Kino. The King of Ghouls. The Incomplete Mage. He Who Wears Darkness as His Cloak. The Lord of Crows. The Prince With No Crown.

while most people in Westeros believed that Shuu is Karlheinz's firstborn son, a few people knew that it wasn't him. it was none other than Kino, his son from Devyn Kang (@secretarykang), the world's most powerful witch

as a child, Kino believed that one day, he would be a king like Karl, reigning over the seven kingdoms with his magic and ensuring every single being in this world is equal with rights and hoping to end humanity's sufferings

well tbh it was also Karl's fault for encouraging him to think that way

and yes it all turned out to be a farce when Karl eventually found out that Devyn wasn't the magic woman in the prophecy and Kino is not the son who will become his heir in Westeros

this prompted Karl to leave the life he built with Devyn and Kino, ultimately burying all traces of them and proceeding to ally himself with Burai and Menae (aka Cordelia's parents)

Kino wasn't fully accepting the fact that Karl abandoned his first family so he went undercover to Westeros, hoping he could change Karl's mind

until he found out that Karl had already moved on with his life, marrying Cordelia and having the triplets as his replacement since they were all touched with magic based on the prophecy

but Kino was stubborn, pleading to the guards that he needed to talk to Karlheinz bcos he was his firstborn

Karl entertained him ofc, promising him that he and Devyn will be a part of their family in Westeros

but it was a lie ofc

the next thing Karl did was burn the whole town of mages in the North, making sure no one escapes

Devyn was powerless to protect Kino so she gave up all her powers to him and placed a curse on Karlheinz that he will die a tragic death unbefitting of a king

and bcos of his immense power, Kino branded himself as the king of Ghouls, animating all the dead mages and controlling them to do all his bidding

there were a few mages who lived, and so Kino had them transferred to Shadowlands with the help of Gilbert Feinze

he even observed the triplets grow until they were 16, watching all their movements so he would know their weaknesses and have his ghouls kill them

ofc he almost succeeded with his first attempt to steal Kanato's eyes, only for Maya to kill his ghouls with her purified arrow.

and at night he would dream abt what Karlheinz did to him and his mother, and how revenge never tasted this good

until then, the cards will fall one by one and he will crown himself as the King of All Seven Kingdoms.

Diabolik lovers Chaos Lineage: Shin Tsukinami (Story 14)

Welcome back! In terms of the gameplay: The black choices lead up to a bad ending, the white choices lead up to a good ending. Please no reposting onto other sites, ask me before translating this into another language too!

Place: Miniature Garden — Forest

Kino: Damn! This path is the literal definition of bad foothold.

Shin: Be careful, the width of the road narrows the more we walk on it.

Besides, there also seems to be a cliff over there, so don’t fall off either.

Yui: Ah, that’s right. I’ll walk carefully not to get off the right track then.

(Depending on the current situation, if I don’t watch my steps while walking, I might really fall down…)

(I’m getting scared just thinking about it…)

Shin: If you’re aware that there’s a cliff near us, it’s obvious you’re terrified, but even more of a reason to walk while looking ahead of yourself.

Yui: Y-Yes, I will.

(As Shin-kun said just now… I have to look ahead of myself and watch my steps)

Kyaaa!

(My leg slipped — Ngh!)

Shin: Yui!!

Haa… geez, that’s what I just said… are you okay?

Yui: Y-Yes. I-I got startled… I’m sorry.

(Shin-kun did an amazing job, saving me by grabbing my hand like that)

Shin: I was the one you surprised with your actions… so don’t try to pull that stunt again.

Yui: I-I won’t. I’m sorry. I was really trying to be careful.

Shin: You’re such a handful, for real. Come on, if you hold onto me, I’ll support you.

Yui: Okay, thanks!

(I know he told me to hold onto him… but is that really okay? I’m getting really embarrassed all of the sudden)

(Uhhh… his firm grip is majorly supporting my waist…)

Shin: Hm? What’s with the red face?

Yui: Eh!?

Shin: I thought you weren’t feeling well and whatnot, but could it be you actually…

Yui: Eh!? No, that’s not it! I’m just embarrassed, don’t read so much into it… ! Shin: Kuku, so you are ashamed after all.

Yui: Ah… !

(Great… I’ve literally dug my own grave now…)

Shin: I’m happy to see your cute face n’ stuff, but for now, you should seriously hold on tight.

Yui: Geez, Shin-kun… ! I got it, I’ll be careful.

*let’s Yui down*

Shin: Huff. We’ve come this far already, I think the road is more spacious and safer now.

Yui: Thank you, Shin-kun.

Shin: But you know, we’re still close to the edge of a cliff. It didn’t change that fact at least.

Yui: Yes, I know.

Kino: Ah, there you are. The heck are you doing? You’re falling behind.

Yui: Sorry. I just almost tripped and fell down.

Kino: Hah!? You’re seriously that clumsy? Didn’t we tell you to be careful to begin with?

Yui: Y-You did… I’m sorry for worrying you.

Kino: Even if I was, the footing is seriously horrible. If we happen to encounter any enemies here, there won’t be any escape routes this time.

Shin: …Well said. Which is why we need to hurry up and find that church before they find us.

Kino: But you do know that if we get caught going to the church, we might get ambushed either way?

Yui: He’s right. We’re talking about Carla-san after all.

Shin: I know my brother’s a smart one. It’s definitely possible for him to grasp our movements somewhere and therefore get ahead of us.

...Hnff!

Yui: Shin-kun, what’s it?

Shin: …This smell — It’s my brother.

Yui: ...Nn!

Kino: Great, the worst-case scenario came true. Congrats, your prediction won the competition.

*Carla appears*

Yui: …Nn!

Carla: Just as I thought, you are still moving around together. And your final destination appears to be the church.

Kino: Of course we had to run right into the only person we didn’t want to encounter of all people.

Shin: ...Brother.

Carla: You do not deserve to call me your brother.

Yui: (What should we do… !? The thing we were most afraid of… in a place like this on top…)

Shin-kun, we need to run away! We cannot fight Carla-san here.

Shin: We can’t. There’s no way to escape from this location right now, not if my brother’s able to easily catch up to us.

Carla: Hmph, certainly right.

Kino: I know running away isn’t an option. But if we end up fighting Carla here, his friends will notice us and help him.

If these guys were to rush over, it would turn out to be a 5 vs 2 fight. And there’s no way we could win that one then.

Yui: So we really have no other option… ?

(This can’t be… ! We’ve finally made it this far, we were getting so close to the church already!)

Carla: Hmph, do not worry about my brothers unnecessarily rushing over. I can certainly handle all three of you by myself.

Shin: True, that is something my brother would say.

*Shin gets closer to Carla*

Yui: (Shin-kun’s closing the distance between him and Carla-san. What is he planning—?)

*Shin draws his sword*

Shin: You two stay back. I’ll take care of this issue. No, I’m the only one supposed to fight with him anyway.

Yui: Shin-kun!

Kino: …Well, if that’s what you want to do, I won’t stop you. But don’t die, Shin.

Shin: You can bet on that.

Carla: Hmph. And you are willing to fight me all on your own?

Even if you happen to be able to transform into a wolf, you are well beyond my capabilities. You should certainly know that much.

Shin: The sheer absolute confidence is the same as it has always been, right brother? I’m relieved this didn’t change a bit.

Carla: And yet again… you simply will not stop calling me your brother.

Shin: Even so it’s not like you don’t care at all, right?

Isn’t there something you remembered, too?

Carla: What absolute nonsense…

Yui: (Come to think of it… Laito-kun did mention that Carla-san has been continuously talking about Shin-kun…)

*flashback*

Laito: Yeah, that’s right and all. But aren’t you a bit too obsessed with that wolf, Carla?

Carla: You, what are you talking about? Do not say anything you cannot comprehend.

Laito: What? You didn’t even notice? Sometimes you even talk to yourself “Shin, Shin…” or maybe you’re saying that unconsciously?

As one of your brothers, I’m a little jealous of that.

Carla: —Silence.

*flashback ends*

Yui: (Hearing this re-play in my mind, Shin-kun must’ve thought Carla-san was in the process of regaining his memory already…)

(Therefore, perhaps if he calls out to him right now, Carla-san’s memories will come back to him…)

Shin: Kino, sorry. I know you’ve first of all wanted to find a way to go back home and stuff.

But now that my brother’s in front of me, I can’t keep chasing that plan anymore.

Kino: Not like I mind. In the end, you can still do what you want. No need to regret anything.

You don’t need to worry about me or anything, focus on who’s before you and get his memories back!

Shin: Kuku, yeah, will do.

*Kino backs off*

Carla: You have certainly been an annoyance ever since the very beginning. But from today onwards, I will no longer tolerate this.

*swords clash*

Shin: …Kch! Wait, brother! I don’t want to fight you!

Let’s talk this out, please! You think of yourself as a vampire as well as violet’s eldest son…

things i think should (should’ve?) happen in DL before it dies (if it’s not already dead??)

carla, shin, & kino character songs. i know kino already has imitation game, dystopia, & count off, but i don’t count them! carla & shin also deserve their own songs & not just solo versions of operation x

a song with all 13 diaboys. that sounds so chaotic & so fun 😭 that should’ve been for the 10th anniversary honestly

bats can purr. i would love if they gave us at least one fluffy scenario with our boys where it happens 😔🙏 i’m also talking about all 13 boys doing this btw don’t think i’d leave your boy out of this. it would be so catboy of kou to purr dude cmon let him be the bat-catboy he is, rejet! & the tsukinami’s could totally purr! even if they aren’t technically vampires, they can turn into bats, right? like how shin turns into a wolf. so they’ve got that dna in them! but also consistency hardly matters to rejet. so yeah i think this could work. also i think it’d be cute to hear each boy purr, no matter how jarring it might be coming from some.

it will always be weird to me that they didn’t make versus songs of the rivals. like kanato & azusa. like cmon you had yuki kaji & daisuke kishio in the studio for that versus cd drama & didn’t use their godly voices for a song together??? i really don’t understand why they haven’t made sakamaki mukami duet songs by now. the only thing close is bad howling where kou replaced subaru..

also isn’t it strange how the mukami’s didn’t get any more solo songs?? each sakamaki got 3 character songs per boy (if you don’t count the ending songs sung by ayato), the mukami’s only got one each. although neither of the tsukinami’s got real character solo’s so it could be worse 💀

animating some of the tokuten cd dramas. this is also something they could’ve done for the 10th anniversary. although, i’m not really that hung up over this. it’s just something that’d be cool. animation is expensive. plus DL getting another anime, especially one so different from the original, would be even stranger for the anime only’s to see.

a little self indulgent but i really want a cd drama line where the boys are in our role.. like i wanna see them be the M’s for once. (aside from u azusa, you already give us both <3 but i would love to see more of it so-) i would also honestly love if we were the vampire this time. pls tell me i’m not the only one who’s really interested in that concept. just once at least? please rejet hear my pleas (though idk how they’d be able to do it now..)

if we had to get another game, i personally want it should be like VC or LP. some of my favorite routes come from those games, & i think kino lovers deserve to have a route like that with their boy.

man.. wouldn’t it have been funny if some of these things were gonna happen before the cheating scandals with tatsuhisa suzuki & takahiro sakurai 💀 i really wonder what the new drama cd & those character songs announced in house of vampire were gonna be like…….. will we ever find out…? rejet..?

And the crows spiraled into a huge storm, gathering in one place as if they were celebrating something. Slowly, the undead rose from the icy ground of Rotigenberg, hands clawing at the snow, tainting its pure white color with blood and dirt. They all gathered toward the crows until they spread around, cawing to awaken the sleeping ghouls.

Once done, a poof of black smoke appeared and Kino presented himself in his glory, making the undead weak on their knees, bowing to him to acknowledge his presence. Kino was proud of his own army, smirking as he snapped his finger to request Yuuri's presence.

A lone crow with a golden collar landed on his shoulder, red eyes glowing. "Your Highness?"

"What's the news on the fire-wielding brat?" he inquired, hoping it would be good news. After all, the said brat is a nuisance to all his plans. He had been keeping watch on him since he was born, and the day he wanted him to die, he hasn't heard anything.

"The ghouls have no trace of his whereabouts as of now," Yuuri said. "However, we caught wind of the person behind the failed assassination."

Yuuri dropped a badge of the Feinze house on Kino's palm, gold and shining like diamonds in the rough. Kino placed it in his pocket and smirked.

"Looks like the House of Feinze has made their decision."

To be honest, Kino kinda expected the Feinze house to collaborate with them. After all, they have been housing all the remaining mages from years ago, ensuring they can live in peace and not die at the hands of Karlheinz after he wiped most of their existence from this world. In fact, Gilbert Feinze made a solemn promise to his mother a long time ago.

"The power of the mages will live on as long as the House of Feinze stands in the neutral ground of war."

But was it a lie? Kino shrugs. Maybe it wasn't a lie. But he couldn't forgive him for this fact.

"Do you think we should go after him?" Yuuri inquired.

Kino shook his head at that, twirling the badge around his fingers as he stared at it with amusement. "There's no need for us to move. The House of Feinze will not be doing anything unless they benefit from the situation."

But Yuuri wasn't convinced at that. Sure, the Feinze house had always sworn neutrality to protect their people from war. However, they also took advantage of it for their own gain. Nonetheless, this was Kino's order. The King of Ghouls knows what he's doing.

"By the way, you said the House of Mukami has sent a letter, yes?" Kino mentioned, prompting Yuuri to transform into his human form and hand the sealed letter from his pocket.

When Kino opened the paper, he raised a brow in amusement. Well, Lord Ruki of the House Mukami always uses deep words to hide his intentions so well. No wonder they have taken advantage of some of the smaller houses in Westeros for so long.

"To the brave and astute King of Ghouls,

We have received approval from the Church regarding their alliance with our house to defeat the House of Sakamaki. Now that it has been settled, one of our finest men, Lord Azusa has set sail to the Dragonstone to meet Lady Yui of the House Komori. Further updates of their arrangement will be conveyed in my next letter.

Until then.

Lord Ruki of the House Mukami."

Kino snickered at that, amusement in his features as he turned the letter into dust in the wind, letting the pieces fly all over because, to him, they don't matter. The Mukamis and Sakamakis can fight each other and he will still not bat an eye. After all, he wanted it to happen. He made it happen based on his plans. These houses could burn for all he cared.

They deserve to be gone.

They deserve to fall down.

"Do you think Lord Ruki would be smart to know about our plan?" " Yuuri asked.

Kino huffed at that. "As if he's that smart." Then ashes from the wind turned into a snake and wrapped itself around his arm. "It's true that no one shall pass the Mukamis," he admitted, observing the snake hissing and preparing to take a bite of his flesh. And with a swift move, Kino held it by its snake and turned it into nothing. "But even with all their intelligence, their house is nothing but full of hissing snakes with no venom."

That night, Kino dreamt about his mother, the most powerful witch in the world. Devyn was a light among the darkness, a golden glory for her might. The path she walked was a road everyone envied as they bowed and worshipped her with praises and lip service. She was the sunshine of his life, the joy in his eyes.

But then, there was a lovesick expression on her face. Karlheinz was a name she kept uttering. "I love your father. I love Karlheinz." It was a lie she tells herself despite the hate. But despite the romance and devotion, Karlheinz left them with nothing but the pain of memory. Worse, he ridded mages of their right to live, sending knights to end their lives. After all, he wanted no one to know about Devyn and Kino.

"Kill them all!" Karlheinz ordered. "KILL THEM ALL!"

Devyn remained with love. She lived like an idiot, hating the same man yet believing he will come back.

"You must live, Kino. I made sure of that. Karlheinz will suffer because he didn't realize how much we meant to him."

But Karlheinz didn't suffer. In Kino's dream, he delighted at the prosperity of his kingdom, boasting his three sons from this woman he calls wife. He forgot about them. HE NEVER CARED. HE KILLED HIS MOTHER IN A DREAM.

The crows swarmed the House of Sakamaki, cawing in evil as Kino stood before the altar, fury in his hands as he prepared to kill them.

THEY WILL PAY.

THEY.

WILL.

PAY!!!!!!!

And then he woke up with a tear from his eye, loneliness succumbing to him in this darkness. He gritted his teeth in annoyance. Revenger is still far away.

There was an endless winter, a white blizzard that would bite anyone who wasn't careful. And from there, the visions paved the way toward a battlefield, a neutral house with an army that could rival Titans as the soldiers marched and attacked the enemies. Shuu was on his last breath, holding onto the handle of his sword handle as he tries to stand. Meanwhile, Reiji was on the ground, defeated and bloodied.

The scenery changed into a forest of never-ending snow. Azusa helped Yui get on a horse with a sad smile on his face. He only whispered, "I hope I am of service to you, my lady."

Before one could delve further into the dream, a giant shadow monster screeched, destroying the forest and turning everything into a nightmare. A hoard of dragons suddenly emerged and from there, Kanato found himself still on his spot, watching the ghouls walking towards him.

"Māzigon arlī," a female voice echoed. And it was a familiar one.

Kanato looked around, slightly panicking because he can't wield his fire and the ghouls are getting close.

"Kanato-sama."

The whisper felt warm in his ear.

"Māzigon arlī."*

With a strangled gasp, Kanato woke up from his dream, water splashing everywhere. When he looked around, he was situated on a bed inside a small pond, flowers and veins surrounding him with their healing properties. And to his surprise, a girl with a smaller height, long dark hair, and red eyes was staring at him in shock.

She was holding a necklace of beads close to her chest, tears welling up in her eyes. It has been three months since he slept.

When Kanato saw the Feinze crest on her dress, he gulped in nervousness. This moment was forbidden.

"Mariya-san..."

This was bad; yet she held hope despite everything.

"Welcome back, Kanato-sama."
