. ִָ ˑ ⊹ ( 11:10 PM ) — it has finally come to this moment. shared permissions of revealing hidden truths to one another, carefully undressed clothes clattered all over from the door to the bed—the only source of light emanating from the soft dews of the full moon. the bed sheets are cold from the touch, contrasting the warm temperature of your skin and his. jongin straddles you from above, his eyes that always looked mysterious now fathomable to read, an evident look of his affections as he adorns you head to toe. he brushes your hair with regard, not really minding if it falls the right or wrong way, the pure devotion of his sending chills down your spine and it brings you back to your first impression of him, the once shy and charismatic mask now faltered all because of you.
you notice the transferred lipstick stains on his face and clean the smudged lipstick off him with a chuckle. “you bought an easily smudged lipstick for me for a reason, you sneaky bastard.”
jongin laughs, now also cleaning the lipstick marks around your lips but keeps the kiss marks he left all over your face. “i know you only wear transfer-proof makeup, especially lipstick, and i've always wanted to clean your makeup off.”
“why?”
“it's one of those joys i have when i undress you myself.” you're left speechless. how can he say something so easily? it doesn't come off as flirty flattery. it rolls out of his tongue like it's the most natural thing to say; his own thoughts and words align perfectly when it speaks about you.
“you say the most absurd compliments for me so naturally.” you smile, helplessly wrapping your arms around his neck and bringing him in a gentle and fervent kiss. every friction and graze of your sensitive lips on his just leaves him wanting more, to the point of his willingness to drown deeper than he was already into you.
jongin tilts his head to siege the space, stopping any air from coming into the kiss, heightening the unmistakable urge between you to go further. you pull out from the kiss to catch your breath, and you both gasp for air, your hand resting on his chest that pronouncedly rests and rises.
you cup his cheek and chuckle, admiring and caressing every part of his face, cleaning the remaining smudged lipstick around his lips. jongin leans into your touch, burrowing his face in the natural shape of your hand, eyes fluttering close from ease. then he looks into your eyes, kisses the palm of your hand and capturing this moment of how you look under the moonlight. the only shadow that hides your bareness is his body on top of you.
“now—do I have permission to clean your makeup off?”
“absolutely.”

Tumblr media
There was a faint knock at the door, M/n barely heard it. Luckily, he was expecting someone. A special someone.
Last night M/n and his friends, well almost all of his friends, gathered together in his small shabby apartment and threw a reunion party. It had been 5 years since all of them graduated high school. And as fun as it was seeing all of his friends, half of M/n attention hung around the door waiting for a knock.
When the night ended, M/n was foolishly mistaken that the person he was looking for would come. He never was able to make time for him back then, why would that change 5 years later?
M/n sighed, getting up from his comfortable position sitting criss-cross on the living room floor. The doorbell rang, and he moaned, “I’m coming, I’m coming.” He lightly jogged towards the front door, sliding into his slippers. As he reached for the door handle, he pulled and looked down as if thinking there was a package. But this package was more like a gift. M/n’s eyebrows furrowed as he saw a pair of Chuck Taylor’s, tattered and worn. The same shoes he gave to his… well, first love.
“Hello, stranger.” A familiar voice slipped into M/n ears. His body instantly felt warm. M/n’s mouth fell agape as he looked up at the male in front of him. After all these years, M/n felt like he was so ready to see the one who got away yesterday, now, he’s at a loss for words.
“You’re staring. I feel put on the spot now.”
“Ah, no. No, don’t feel that way. It’s good to see you… Jongin or Kai, or ya’ know whatever you go by now.” M/n sheepishly said, biting back his tongue at his complete awkwardness.
“Jongin is fine. To be honest, nobody calls me that very much anymore. And it feels nostalgic hearing you stay my name again.” Jongin flashed that stupid cheeky grin he does, M/n might as well just melt right there.
“Oh… being an idol… Can’t imagine.”
Jongin chuckled, pressing his weight on the door frame, “You’ve got a good face, nice voice…” Jongin tilted his head looking at M/n up and down as if he were going to comment on the latter’s body, “But those bunny slippers? Can’t dance in those.”
M/n sucked his tongue, “You jerk.” He rolled his eyes and stepped to the side, gesturing for Jongin to step into the apartment. Jongin giggled as he entered into the apartment, slipping his shoes off next to the pile of random shoes.
“You missed everyone yesterday, why didn’t you call?”
Jongin placed his keys and wallet on the island in the kitchen, hanging his jean jacket on one of the bar stools. “I’m sorry about that. The work building has been a buzz for a while now. You know, comebacks and all.”
“Mhm, right.” M/n did not know. In fact, M/n didn’t even know Jongin was an idol. He found out via text message months later.
“But I’m here now and-”
“And the last you didn’t show up to an outting was-”
“I don’t-”
“Wanna talk about it?”
Jongin reached for the back of his neck, “We still like cutting each other off. That’ll never change, huh?”
“But you did.” M/n spat, arms crossed as his smaller frame stood in front of Jongin’s. Jongin’s hands dropped to his sides as he drew in a sharp breath. “I want to talk about this. The others aren’t around this time, so speak freely.”
“I- Um, shit… I don’t know. It’s a lot.”
M/n bit back his attitude, “You left me, Kim Jongin. You chose to live your life without me. A life without your best friend. Your boyfriend. Your soulmate.”
“Hey, no one left you, M/n. I admit I didn’t choose the best choice when it came to us, but, I had an opportunity. And how was I supposed to know there was gonna be all these restrictions? Being an idol is hard, but living without you was harder.”
M/n turned away as he felt the tears warming up in his eyes. Jongin gently put his hands on each of the smaller’s shoulders. “Look at me. Would you look at me please?”
“No. Go away.”

confessions • kji (pt.2)
pairing: jongin x f!reader, fwb2l. sequel to ‘d appointment’.
genre: fluff & angst
synopsis: jealousy leads to a life changing confession (happy ending!!)
warnings: angst, swearing, jealousy
a/n: lol nobody asked for this but i really wanted to write this after yesterday! so enjoy 😋
“jongin, i really gotta go,” you giggle, kissing him again. he holds onto your waist tighter, grumbling about how he doesn’t want you to go. “really, nini, i have to leave.” you say, pulling out of his grasp and finding your clothes around his room.
you’ve seen a lot more of him recently, and your relationship has changed. he started asking you over to hang out, taking you out for food, running errands with you. you didn’t know what to think of your relationship anymore, and could barely tell your friends because none of them liked to hear about jongin anyway. he had a bit of a reputation for being a womanizer and a player, but you didn’t get that with him. as far as you knew, you were the only person who’s been in his bed for the last two months.
you really dont know what to call your relationship—you never talk about it with him. you refer to him as a friend when people ask about him, but nothing more. but you know that youre deeper than friends, you pretend not to see it in his eyes when you’re lying on his chest at night, pretend not to feel it in your stomach when he leans over his middle console and kisses you when he picks you up from your house. you pretend none of those feelings exist, so you can keep your peace.
“where do you have to go anyway?” he asks as you hook your bra back on.
“uh, just meeting a friend,” you say, not ready to admit the truth that the friend is a man and he’s not really a friend. your friend sana set you up with a guy she knows, doyoung, and you’ve been hanging out for awhile. of course, in between you and jongins time together.
jongin frowns at you and your hesitation. “who?” he presses as you pull on your shirt. you let out a breath and fix your hair, stalling as you avoid his question.
“chaewon,” you lie, not really sure why. you’re not dating, it shouldn’t be a problem. but with the way you’ve been hanging out recently, it feels like it could cause a rift—maybe you’re imagining it, though, and he doesn’t actually care. maybe your feelings are one sided.
“what are you guys gonna do?” he asks. you shrug and grab your phone off of his nightstand, a text from doyoung on the screen.
doyoung: can’t wait to see you!
you bite back a smile and jongin notices, his chest bubbling with an emotion he can’t quite place. anger? no, not quite. envy? jealously, maybe? can’t be—you’re not his. but it sure does feel like it sometimes.
you tap back a response, your acrylics accentuating your every keyboard stroke.
y/n: see you soon :)
“alright, i’ll see you later?” you say, leaning over to kiss him. it’s stiff, and awkward, but neither of you say anything. he doesn’t offer to walk you out like he always does, and you pretend it doesn’t bother you.
jongin and you don’t talk for three days, and in those three days, you occupy yourself with doyoung when you’re not at work or with your friends. doyoung is kind, he’s sweet and makes you laugh. he listens. he’s perfectly safe—your friends like him, and they’re all going to meet him tonight at a get together.
you sigh as you look at your phone, your message going unanswered. you invited jongin too, just to be nice since a few of his friends are going to be there. you haven’t spent anytime around each others friends, though you know a couple because that’s how you met each other.
sana nudges you. “doyoung is here,” you flip your phone over as her eyes gaze down for a split second. you look up and see him walk through the door, two of his friends behind him. you stand up from your spot on the couch and walk over to him, adjusting your skirt. doyoungs eyes scan the room and when they land on you, he gives you the smile that you’ve grown fond of.
“hey!” you say, giving him a hug. you press a quick kiss on his cheek and pull back, his hand sliding to the small of your back.
“hey! i hope you don’t mind thst i brought some friends—this is baejin and that’s sungwoon,” he says, introducing you to his friends. you smile and shake their hands. “is sana here?” he asks, leaning close to you. you nod, and get the overwhelming feeling that he’s about to kiss you, so you quickly grab his arm and lead him over to your group of friends.
sana jumps up when she sees him and gives him a hug, your three friends, yujin, chaewon, and bona following suit.
the five of you settle on the couch, doyoung on the end and you sandwiched between him and sana. he keeps an arm wrapped around your waist the entire time, barely moving it even when you shift. you don’t mind his touch or the weight of his arm—it feels nice.
you let yourself sneak a glance at your phone, hoping to see if he responded—a ‘no’ would even be fine—but there’s nothing new. you set your phone face down in your lap, and catch sanas eye when you look back up. you furrow your brow at her and she shakes her head. you ignore her and lean back against doyoung, his arm moving to wrap around your shoulder. you catch his dangling hand in yours, and interlock your fingers.
“you two are so cute, it’s making me sick,” yujin says. you and doyoung only giggle, and when you glance at sana, she’s side eyeing you behind her red solo cup.
sanas eyes drift around the room, but you ignore her until she steps on your foot, not enough to hurt but enough to get your attention. you glance at her again, and she shoots her eyes to the door, and dread immediately fills your stomach.
jongin walks through the door, many people in the party immediately greeting him. you check your phone again and see that he still never responded, which annoys you. if you had a heads up that he was showing up, you would have never sat here cuddled up with doyoung.
you try to ignore the greetings to jongin, but they’re obnoxious and louder than the music playing. “ugh, sehun is so irritating,” chaewon grumbles, but she keeps her eyes on the tall boy talking to jongin. they have some weird tension going on.
“y/n, im gonna go find baejin really quick, do you want to come?” doyoung asks. you shake your head and tell him that you’ll be here, and he leaves but not before pressing a kiss to your cheek.
you smile, but it falters when sana scoffs. “what?” you ask, annoyed with how she’s been treating you tonight.
“don’t lead him on, please. i know you invited jongin, and maybe you want two boyfriends, but doyoung is a good guy. leave him out of it,” she says, her voice serious.
you drop your mouth open to reply, but can’t find the words. “your boyfriends coming over,” she mutter, taking another swig of her drink. you glance over to see jongin walking towards you.
“he’s not my boyfriend,” you manage, standing up to greet him. you reach in for a hug, and he reciprocates, his hands too low on your back for it to be friendly. “i didn’t know you were coming.” you say, pulling away from him.
jongin keeps his hands on you, ignoring the gawking from your friends. “i said i might,” he shrugs and you roll your eyes. “why, you wanted more time to hide your little boyfriend?” he asks. with that, you scoff and pull away from him, already done with the entire night.
“i don’t have a boyfriend, so both of you can stop,” you say to jongin and sana, crossing your arms over your chest. “if you came here to bother me, you can just leave.” you say, staring up at him.
“i came to keep you company, but i see you already have some,” he says, mirroring your stance. you get ready to reply, but see doyoung coming up behind the two of you with baejin in tow, and get a wave of guilt, dread, and anxiety at the prospect of the two of them interacting. this can’t be my life, you think.
doyoung approaches you, a smile on his face until he sees your stance, and then sweeps his eyes over to jongin. doyoungs face falls at the obvious tension, and jongin sizes him up. “are you alright?” he asks you, a hand on your arm. you nod and he looks over at jongin and back at you. “do you two know each other?” he asks.
know is putting it lightly.
before you can respond, jongin interjects. “i’m jongin,” he holds his hand out to shake, and it takes everything in you to not push his hand away.
doyoung shakes his hand, his face not giving way to how he really feels. “we’re friends,” you offer once they drop hands. friends is putting it lightly, too lightly that it’s almost untrue.
jongin scoffs at that. “if that’s what you want to call it, sure we are,” you glare at him and doyoung shifts awkwardly beside you, unsure of what to say. “surely she’s mentioned me. because she’s never mentioned you.” he adds, making you blood boil.
“jongin, stop!” you say, your eyes widening. you look back over at doyoung who nods his head once, twice. “doyoung, just ignore him, please?” you say, reaching out to grab his hand, but he pulls away. you feel helpless as he moves past you to talk to sana, and you hear him tell her that he’s gonna head out. you feel like shit as you try to get him to talk to you, but again he dodges you.
“y/n, i dont want to be apart of this. maybe when you figure… whatever this is out, you can call me. but i don’t want any of this,” he waves vaguely between you and jongin, and all you can do is stand there pathetically as he walks away.
“yeah, what he said,” jongin says, shaking his head, and all you see is red. how dare he try to blow you off, when he is the cause of this entire mess. if he just kept his mouth shut, doyoung would still be here and you’d be enjoying your night.
you stomp after jongin as he walks off, grabbing ahold of his shirt, pulling him towards the direction of the kitchen. “quit it,” he says, pulling out of your grasp.
“you don’t get to leave! what the hell is your problem?” you ask, putting your hands on your hips. a few people in the kitchen glance at you and jongin, and he sighs and pulls you out to the backyard where it’s empty. “what is wrong with you?”
“i didnt do anything,” he says and you bark out a laugh.
“you don’t talk to me for days for god knows why, you don’t respond to my text, and the. you basically show up unannounced? and then you ruin a good thing for me? what is wrong with you?” you could cry from frustration, but you don’t. you manage to keep the tears at bay as you stare at the man across from you.
jongin doesn’t say anything, just leans against the stair railing with his arms crossed over his chest, and looks away from you. you blink at him, waiting for him to say something but he doesn’t. “well?” you say, scoffing.
he shakes his head. “you just don’t get it,” he mumbles.
“what?”
“you really don’t see it, y/n? it’s not obvious?” he asks, finally looking you in the eye. you shrink under his gaze, your eyes darting around the backyard.
“what are you talking about, jongin?” you ask, confusion evident in your voice. he runs a hand through his hair frustratedly and drops his hands at his sides. you cross your arms over your abdomen and stare at him, waiting for him to just admit whatever he’s holding back.
“you don’t feel a change between us? really?” he asks, and for a second the air leaves your lungs. he can’t be asking you this, because then what you’ve been imagining is actually true, therefore real. and now you have to confront it.
“i guess,” you say vaguely, your voice small. he runs his hands through his hair like he always does when he’s stressed or anxious—one thing you picked up on after seeing him more often. “what are you trying to say, jongin?” you sigh, just wanting to hear the words coming from his mouth. you need that confession, or else you think you’ll go crazy if you lose two men you like on the same night.
“i’m trying to say that i can’t stop thinking about you, that i think about you every second you’re not with me. that when i have to go somewhere, i call you because i’d rather go—i don’t fucking know, to the store—with you, over anybody else. and i came here tonight, even though i know your friends don’t fucking like me, because i wanted to see you. and i know you’re upset that i made your little boyfriend leave, but i don’t really care, okay? i can’t stand to see you with somebody else, not when you kiss me the way you do, or say my name,” he rambles, wiping his mouth before starting up again. you can only stare at him, stunned. you’ve gotten more than you were really asking for, and he’s not even done. “and i dont only mean when we have sex, okay? i know that’s how we started, but if you couldn’t tell, i don’t only want to do that with you. i want something more with you. if you don’t, fine. but i won’t buy it, because you chased after me, and not him.” jongin catches his breath, shocked that he just blurted all of this out. it’s been buried deep in his brain, his heart, for awhile now. he hasn’t been able to get you out of his head for weeks, and gets giddy when he sees your name pop up on his phone. he’s been silently losing his mind about you, and you haven’t even noticed.
“why didn’t you say anything before?” you ask pathetically, walking over to him.
he lets out a laugh that almost sounds like a cry. “because if you didn’t feel the same way, and we stopped hanging out, i would seriously die,” he says, grabbing your hands. you smile at his words. “i’m going crazy here, y/n.” jongin sighs, looking down at you and bringing your conjoined hands up to his chest.
you faintly feel his fast heartbeat and nearly coo. he’s so endearing, and the way he’s looking at you with his big, brown eyes is enough to bring you to your knees. “jongin, i-“ you cut yourself off to laugh, the next words leaving your mouth about to be so embarrassing. “i really like you, and i don’t know how you couldn’t tell. i mean, every time you said anything, i giggled like a schoolgirl.” you say, pressing your knuckles into his sternum.
“i thought you just wanted to fuck.”
“well, yes,” you blush, looking up at him. “but i really fucking liked—like—you,” you say, letting out a breath.
“are we doing this? i mean, for real?” he asks, dropping your interlocked hands out to the sides. you shrug.
“we could try,” you say, and he smiles, his face lighting up in a way that makes your heart skip a beat and your stomach flip.
and you two really were going to try, the opinions of your friends be damned. if there was a general consensus, it’s that you’d both go insane for the others love, and that’s enough.

Sitting on the sofa, watching a movie as you hear the door unlock faintly behind you. Jongin steps in the door with heavy feet before making his way down the hall to you. Throwing himself on the sofa, he places his head on your lap.
"Long day?" you ask softly.
Jongin only replies with a hum and within a few seconds he is fast asleep. You soon meet the same fate due to his soft breaths and warmth.

Hot Mess | Kim Jongin (Kai)
5K Follower Series Ep. 27
Summary: You come home one night to find Kai naked in your bed… is he cheating on you?
Genre: Established relationship AU, smut
Word Count: 1k
Prompt: Stop looking at me like that!”
Tumblr media
“Kai? Where are you, baby?”
No response. The entire downstairs was dark. And silent.
You pulled out your tight ponytail, letting your wavy hair fall loose over your shoulders.
Work had been tough. You couldn’t wait to curl up and watch your hot boyfriend Kai work out – that always made you feel better.
In the gloom, the house felt alien, like it was somebody else’s, and you were intruding.
You wandered towards the stairs. Kai’s favourite Gucci jacket was hanging from the bannister. A chill ran down your spine. He never left home without it.
“Baby?” You walked up the stairs. Kai’s Balenciaga belt was coiled snake-like on the top stair. You were getting really freaked now.
That’s when you noticed them - the soft grunts coming from your bedroom door. Your heart fell to the floor. You’d know that deep voice anywhere.
Was Kai… cheating on you? This couldn’t be happening!
Tears were already pricking your eyes. You imagined Kai in there with some supermodel, his head between her legs, getting mess all over your sheets. You felt sick.
You took a deep breath, and yanked the bedroom door open.
You gasped.
Kai was lying on the bed, completely naked, his brown skin glowing against the white duvet cover. His eyes were squeezed shut in pleasure, his cheeks were flushed, and his hand was wrapped around his penis.
“Where is she?” You screamed, looking around the room to find the person Kai was cheating on you with. “Come and face me like a woman, you homewrecker!”
When Kai heard your voice, he bolted upright, the muscles on his abdomen flexing with the effort.
“Hey, baby, I didn’t hear you come in. Come and join me,” Kai said. He smirked sexily, but you weren’t having it.
“Join you?” You snapped, getting angrier by the second. “First you cheat on me and now you want me to join you in bed with your mistress! Fuck off!”
Kai frowned, looking adorably confused despite his naked state. “Cheat on you? What are you talking about?”
“You-“ you gestured wildly at his nakedness. “Having sex with… god, where are you hiding her?”
You dropped down to your knees and looked under the bed for the mystery woman. She had to be somewhere.
Realisation dawned upon Kai. He jumped off the bed and gently pulled you up to standing.
“Babe,” he said, gazing at you warmly. “I’m not cheating on you. There’s no-one else here.”
Your mouth dropped open. “Then why are you naked? What about all those moans?”
Kai rubbed the back of his neck, blushing. “I was just having some… intimate time… with myself. I like to do it naked. It… feels better.”
You stared at him, your face a mixture of shock and disgust.
“Hey,” Kai said, nudging your shoulder. “Stop looking at me like that. Everyone masturbates.”
“Oh my god!” you cried. “I thought you were cheating on me, when all you were doing was jerking off? You idiot!”
You grabbed a pillow off the bed and whacked Kai on his naked butt. “I can’t believe you!”
Kai laughed, deep and manly. “I can’t believe you think I’d cheat on you. I’m crazy about you, Y/n.”
You whacked him again. “I almost had a heart attack!”
Mad with rage, you whacked him on his front too.
Kai let out a half-yelp, half-moan. “You just hit my dick!” He said, chucking. “Actually that felt kinda good. Do it again?”
You gasped. “You pervert!”
It was getting harder to hold in your smile. This was almost funny. “I can’t believe you’re getting off on this!” you groaned, your smile breaking through.
“Come ‘ere, you,” he grunted. He wrapped his strong arms around your waist and pulled you onto the bed with him.
He attacked your neck with kisses, making you both breathless with laughter.
You rolled around on the bed in a hot tangle. You don’t know whose fingers did what… but soon, you were just as naked as him.
---
After, you lay in each other’s arms, limbs intertwined, trying to catch your breath.
The bedside table fan hummed softly, but it did nothing to ease the heat radiating off your bodies. Your heartbeats were the only sound.
Kai was absentmindedly drawing patterns on your arm, eyes closed, singing to himself – the way he always did after sex.
You let your eyes wander down his smooth neck, and across his sculpted chest. You gazed at his brown skin and the ripples of muscles in his taut stomach. Your tummy tingled in appreciation.
You looked lower and lower, at his belly button piercing, at the V shape leading right down to his massive-
“I know you’re checking me out.” Kai said.
You giggled. “Busted.”
“Round two?” He asked, pushing himself up on one elbow so that he could look at you. “You know you want to.”
Kai twirled a curl of your hair between his fingers and followed it down to where it came to your chest. His fingers brushed against your nipple, sending sparks flying down your spine.
“You’re not tired?” You whispered.
Kai smiled a lazy, sexy smile. He rolled you over so that he was lying on top of you, and dipped his lips to your neck.
“For you? Never.”

Kisses #1
Tumblr media
pairing: Jongin x reader
genres: pure fluff(this close to crying while writing... been months since I am satisfied with my fluff writing..MONTHS), friends to lovers
inspiration: Jongin and list of kisses I found on pinterest.
Jongin is a ray of sunshine. This sentence falls short before his warmth embrace, beaming grin, shiny eyes and lively aura. Like the sun rarely appearing in winter, gravitating every human to animal, to be under his rays, Jongin grabs everyone’s attention as he struts in the college campus.
And I, a weakling just like everyone else, finds my steps leading towards him. Trying to snatch a piece of his attention, bask in his presence and have my own epiphany. The worst thing about having him as a friend is staying stuck in that position for a long long time.
Sometimes in the middle of the night when our phone conversations turn deep, sharing our innermost conflicts and pains I wonder if we weren’t grouped for a project would it be any different? Would he have seen me as a girl instead of his friend who needs help in everything? Would I be in the mainstream rather than a sideline?
“Where are you lost?” Jongin snaps his fingers at my face breaking me out of my thoughts, more like obsession. “Lost in that pretty mind of yours?” His brown eyes shine under the direct stream of sunlight, bringing out the honey shade and oozing out the warmth. Dressed in a hoodie, his hair a mess from constantly pulling up the hoodie cap and removing it, his familiar perfume makes it hard not to fall for him a little harder everyday.
“Nothing.” I push his hand off my face, slowly reeling my chair little by little away from his. “Thinking about the assignment.”
He nods understandingly, folding his arms across his chest. The movement brings out the firmness of his chest, broadness of it and the many nights I spent wondering how it would be laying on his chest.
“It's a difficult one.” He ponders, zoning off into the high walls of the library. “Maybe our procedure is wrong and we have to tackle it using a different method?”
“Yeah.” I don’t even remember the question but whatever gets him off me helps. One thing about knowing Jongin for so long is, he won’t let go until I dish out all of my worries that are disturbing my peace. I had to come up with a hundred lies to just cover my one truth. That is, I am slowly falling in love with him. “Maybe.”
He rests his arm on the back of my seat, rolling me towards him. “I don’t feel like studying.” He mumbles, his face a few inches away from mine as he looms over me. “Can we go out?” His eyes run across my face with hope. “Please?”
My cold heart comes alive, beating louder, faster. He is so close, his lips just a breath away. What if I lean in and get a taste of the forbidden lips. Is the pain worth the taste? My heart whispers a yes, while my mind is hyperventilating on how he isn’t interested in me as a lover and just sees me as one of his boys. Having him around is far better than getting shut by a mere kiss.
But the heart screams yes when his eyes dip to my lips for a fraction of a second. Almost as if it never happened. I lean in, pressing my lips onto his soft, full lips. My heart leaps out of my chest, my fingers curl into fists on my lap and my brain is void of any thoughts. His lips are more than what I thought of, softer than a baby skin and bringing the storm and peace at once.
I move back from his lips, his taste lingering on mine and I pick up the courage to look at his face. His eyes are closed, his breathing uneven, lips shiny from my lip balm and parted. Slowly he opens his eyes, watching me intently. I wait for him to leave with a disappointed look and saying he didn’t expect this from me. His eyes trail to my cheeks, the strand of hair falling on my face and then pauses on my lips for a long time. His arm around my chair drags me closer to him, my knee pressing into his thigh, and another arm hesitantly lying on top of my thigh.
He sucks in a breath and leans in, kissing me. I gasp, this can’t be happening. Does he.. does he see me as a girl? He presses his lips harder, his eyebrows scrunched in the middle, eyes closed. I arch to his height, sitting straighter in greed to get more of him. His hand holds my neck as he moves his lips in a slow rhythm. He grips my thigh, leaning in, sucking my lower lip and holding me in place holding my neck. The moment prolongs for a minute, I press his hand and he breaks the kiss, letting me breathe.
He brushes his nose against mine, watching my expression. A slow shy smile spreads across his lips, he rubs his thumb over my heated cheeks. Pecking my lips one more time, he leans back in his chair spreading his arms and throws back his head grinning. “Shit.”
What should I do now? Talk about it or go about it as if the kiss never happened? But his swollen lips and shine on it tells another story. How can I pretend when—
“Let’s go.” He packs his bag and also mine within seconds, holding out his hand for me.
I hold his hand, his hand completely engulfing mine. My steps falter, hair on my neck standing. Every single student’s eyes are on us. My heart drops to my stomach, he is Jongin of course everyone’s attention will be on him but the amount of hate, jealousy and smirks we are receiving is overwhelming.
He grips on my hand, “what do you want to eat?”
“Anything is good with me.” I reply, wanting to get out of here as soon as I can.
“Okay.” He swings our intertwined hands and hums through our entire walk and even till reaching the fast food center. And his beaming smile? It never fades, instead it got brighter.

FELLINGS — EXO K.J
CHAPTER ONE
Summary: You and Jongin live wanting what you two can't have. For example, he wants to win over your best friend and you want him.
Warnings: This fanfic will describe some hot romantic moments and use of inappropriate language. In the future there may be both smut and moderate use of violence. Readers are warned. This fanfic will feature some members of EXO as characters but they are not part of a Kpop group in this scenario.
PREVIEW CHAPTER TWO
Tumblr media
The damn dress I bought just won't close. The zipper got stuck halfway and you don't know how to force it without tearing your dress. You spent a good part of your afternoon doing bridesmaid things. Your apartment doorbell rings, alerting you that you are terribly late.
"I'm coming." You speak loud enough for whoever is at the door to stop ringing the doorbell. With your dress still open in the back, you open the door, coming face to face with your boss. Kim Jongin rarely is late.
"With all due respect, don't you think it's a little aggressive to try to steal the bride's spotlight?" He says as he enters your apartment, you smile embarrassed. He has no idea how what he says affects you, which is good.
"Actually, the bride chose this dress without me. Now I'm trying to get into this shit but I can't. Do you mind helping me?" You say, turning your back, waiting for Kim Jongin to help you. He doesn't respond at all. But you feel his hand go down your back, making its way to the zipper. Finally he closes the dress for you and when you think it's done, you feel him approach your neck as if he's going to kiss you there. But actually he just smelled you.
"Your scent must be the most delicious scent I've ever smelled." He says as you turn to face him. You don't know what to say, so you ignore him and go to the bathroom to finish your makeup. He follows you there and out of the corner of your eye, you watch him.
"Are you going to behave?" You ask and almost immediately he smiles mischievously.
"If I don't behave, will you punish me?" Jongin speaks in a rude tone and you turn to look him in the eyes.
"If you don't behave, sir...I'll resign and you'll be left to fend for yourself." You say, looking seriously at him, who even seems to like your answer.
"I prefer a good old punishment. But I'll try my best today. I mean, I'm going to behave so I don't have to lose you." He says, approaching you and extending his hand for you to get up from the chair in front of the dresser.
"Do you think I'm well dressed? I feel like this dress wasn't made for me." Luna has always had a unique style and let's say fashionista when it comes to clothes, as for you...you usually wear what makes you comfortable. And that dress doesn't make you very comfortable.
"I told you. You're stealing all the attention. At least stealing all of mine attention." And he says this with zero intention of being with you. It's impressive.
"Let's go. Luna will kill us if we get there after her." You say, taking your bag and heading towards the door. Jongin comes right behind you and the two of you quickly go to the dinner location of the engagement dinner. Everything about the place was stunning. Sehun, Luna's fiance was next to her taking photos.
You're not sure what to do, it seems like all eyes in the beautiful banquet hall for the engagement dinner are on you. Everyone is watching as you and Kim Jongin enter, almost as if you were expected. Amid smiles and sideways glances, you both walk in. Suddenly, Jongin grabs your waist, leaving you confused. Until you notice the exchange of glances between Luna and Jongin, realizing that he's using you to make her jealous. Jerk.
"You know, I've always suspected there was something going on between you and Luna. But using me to make her jealous is low, even for you." You whisper in Kim Jongin's ear. From afar, no one would suspect that you're cursing him out. They might even think you're whispering something naughty in his ear.
"Y/N…" He starts to speak but is interrupted by the newlyweds who came to greet us. You had to compose yourself because you didn't want Sehun or Luna to notice that you're angry with Jongin, even though Luna is part of all this.
"I was starting to think the maid of honor wouldn't show up for the party, huh, Y/N? You know Luna can't live without you." Sehun says as he approaches to hug you and Jongin. You notice a strange exchange of glances between the groom and your boss, but you brush it off.
"In her defense, the maid of honor had to look beautiful for her best friend's special day." Kim Jongin says as he greets the bride and groom. The weirdest part is that Sehun seems tense because of your boss.
"You've got a lot of nerve showing up here after telling my fiancée you loved her in that damn call." Sehun says, almost lunging at Kim Jongin. You feel the need to find an excuse to lighten the mood of the party before things escalate into a fight.
"Listen here, buddy…" Kim Jongin begins, but you interrupt him, shifting the spotlight of this conversation onto yourself.
"What Kai means is that he mixed up his messages. He was drunk, dialed the wrong number, and ended up mistakenly declaring his feelings to Luna." You say. Perhaps this is the worst excuse you've ever given in your life.
"And how do you know that?" Luna asks, sounding genuinely surprised that you've come up with such a almost convincing excuse for Jongin's declaration.
"Her and I are engaged. We just didn't want to steal your moment." Kim Jongin says, catching everyone off guard, including you. And then he kisses your cheek, and you smile.

Reassurance - Kai (Jongin)
Tumblr media
You're being stupid. That's what you keep telling yourself. Kai is an idol, sometimes he is going to be around female idols, he is going to do dance challenges with them or talk to them, he can't exactly snub them. You couldn't help but compare yourself to them though. You trusted Kai, you really did, but sometimes, when your mental health was bad and the insecurities kicked in, you felt like he could do better than you.
When you were next with Kai, you were so stuck in your head about everything he noticed how distant you were being.
"Jagi?" he asked you, when you made no reaction to his hand on your thigh as you sat together on the sofa.
You simply hummed in response.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing," you answered, far too quickly for it to be the truth.
"Come on, something's bothering you," he said giving you a little nudge.
"I don't want to talk about it," you replied, bluntly.
"I just want to help," he continued.
"Jongin, let it go," you snapped.
"Fine," he muttered, moving away to sit on the other end of the chair to you.
"Talking about it will just upset me, so I don't want to right now, you don't have to be like that."
"You don't have to snap at your boyfriend when he's trying to help."
You let out a frustrated sigh. "Don't try and guilt trip me."
"What can't you talk to me about? Am I the problem? Because if I am that's more reason to talk to me," he continued.
"No, not exactly-"
"Yah! What do you mean not exactly?"
"See this is why I didn't want to talk about it."
Kai stood then and moved in front of you, making sure you couldn't look away from him. "What did I do?"
"Nothing."
"Then what did 'not exactly' mean?"
You hesitated then. He clearly wasn't going to drop it, so you were trying to work out how to put your feelings into words.
"Y/n?" he questioned.
"I don't like seeing you with other women," you rushed out, before realising how that sounded. "Wait- no, that didn't-"
"Because you don't trust me?"
"That's not what I meant. I just think- It's hard for me seeing you with these beautiful idols, when I'm- me."
"You think I'd cheat on you?" he questioned in an accusatory tone.
"No! It's not about you-" Your voice raised as you spoke.
"Then what is it about?"
"If you calm down and let me get my words out..."
"You didn't even want to talk to me a second ago."
"I can't talk to you when you're like this," you said, your tone dropping as you stood to head to the door.
Kai stayed stationary for a moment as pulled your shoes on. Before you had a chance to gather up your things though, he was next to you holding your bag. The two of you just stood looking at each other in silence briefly.
"What's wrong?" he asked again, his voice now much softer.
"It's not that I think you would cheat. It's that I believe you'd be better off with one of them. I look at myself and then these gorgeous women you're surrounded by in your working life and I can't compare. I don't feel like I deserve to be with you."
"Jagiya," he let out in a whisper.
You sniffed as the emotions started to hit you. "And this is why I didn't want to talk about," you managed to say as your voice broke.
Immediately, you were engulfed in your boyfriends arms as you broke down.
"I love you," he mumbled as he pressed small kisses in to your hair. "I love you, and I'll keep saying it until all those thoughts leave."
You just held onto him tighter as he spoke, giving you the reassurance you so clearly needed in the moment.
"Anytime you feel this, you tell me. Even if I'm not with you and you've seen something, some video online, and it makes you uncomfortable, call me. I will remind you that you are the one I will always choose, ok?"
All you could do was nod.
"Do you want to take your shoes off and come back in?"
You nodded again.
Kai's chest vibrated against you as he laughed. "You need to let go then."
This time you shook your head and snuggled further into him, if that was even possible. With another laugh at your cuteness, Kai squeezed you back, content just to hold you until you were ready.

Mr. Cool
Pairing: jongin x gn reader
Genre: fluff, a dash of rivals to lovers?
Warnings: none, but if you find any please let me know.
Summary: Jongin’s adored niece and nephew have finally discovered their own love for dance, making him the happiest. However, realizing that he isn’t quite their inspiration breaks his heart a little. Now, the question arises whether the over-mentioned dance teacher, who seems to have stolen that admiration, is up to determine who truly reigns.
Word count: 2.5K+
A/N: Finally, it’s here! I had to redeem Jongin’s niece and nephew from telling him his dance was not cool 🤭 I find that interaction between them from years ago so funny and endearing. Hopefully, after all these years they have found inspiration in him even if it isn’t for dance. I hope Jongin had an awesome birthday and that this year brings him so much joy and growth. I miss him so much 🥹🤎
MASTERLIST | MOODBOARD
Tumblr media
“Uncle uncle uncle!” The kids joyfully repeated as they ran down the hallway into Jongin’s waiting arms. He wrapped his niece and nephew in a bear hug, enjoying their bubbly energy after so long of missing them. Soon, they were overwhelmed by the stillness, and their giggles turned into gentle punches on his arms.
“Are you ready? Are you following in on uncle Jongin’s steps and becoming dancers?” Jongin teasingly asked before letting them go. He was so excited to finally share his love for dance with them, especially since it was his birthday.
Rahee giggled at him, sassily crossing her arms. “No, teacher Y/N’s steps!”
“Yeah! The best dancer!” Raeon jumped and dabbed, brimming with energy.
Jongin laughed at the cute dance move and tried tickling them. “Mmm… I would have to see; maybe I’m better?”
“No, no way!” Rahee exclaimed between laughs.
Jongin’s older sister arrived with their bags and water bottles, chuckling at their interaction. “They are excited to dance with you; they’re just stubborn,” she said fondly.
“I’ll take good care of them, noona,” he said as he helped carry the kid’s belongings. A playful thought crossed his mind, so he winked at his sister and looked back at the kids. “Aaand I’ll show teacher Y/N some moves; settle up who’s best.”
Opening the studio door, you carefully managed to avoid colliding with the tall man who was foolishly jumping around. “I look forward to seeing that,” you teased, causing him to startle as he was about to lean against the door, unaware that you had opened it. As a result, he stumbled inside. “Oh my! I’m so sorry!” you exclaimed, struggling to contain your laughter.
Jongin’s eyes locked with yours, finding not only a sweet voice but a sweet, worried expression that melted his heart. In that tender look, he glimpsed the children’s delight in you and realized that his heart may probably learn some new moves as well.
You gently squeezed his wrist, trying to figure out if he was okay. His hold on you was still firm as more of your students arrived and entered the class, but he was still not moving his hand from yours.
“Jongin, everything all right?” His sister asked, bringing him out of his trance.
The warmth of his hand left yours quickly enough, and he pulled off a wide, nervous smile at you. “Sorry, yeah, yeah, everything is all right,” he answered in an almost robotic voice.
His sister looked at you with an apologetic smile. “Okay… I have to go now. I hope you can handle this one, teacher Y/N.”
“I’ve got it! I’m excited to work with him.” You quickly glanced at the still-nervous, smiling man beside you.
“Thank you for taking my kids’ request; they just love their uncle too much.”
Jongin shyly lowered his head, looking at his hand that still lingered with your touch, even though he hadn’t noticed at first that he had held onto your hand for support. He also vaguely remembered you asking more than a couple of times if he was okay because he had been lost in your eyes—just like now that he didn’t even notice when his sister left.
“It’s nice to meet you, Kai sunbaenim,” you paused. “Sorry, should I call you Jongin?”
Although filled with nervousness, he briefly glanced at your hand and dared to purposefully hold your eyes with his own. The patience and care that painted your eyes drew a different type of intrigue and anticipation, unlike any other introduction he had experienced.
A delicate smile graced his face as he hoped that here he could simply be Jongin—that you saw past the surface and name to the heart within. His smile widened when you did not look away, but instead you matched it with an encouraging one of your own as your hands found each other. “Jongin is fine,” he answered and bowed.
“Y/N,” you introduced yourself, mirroring his gesture, even when he had possibly already known your name because of his family.
Jongin had indeed heard your name almost daily for a while. His niece and nephew had talked about their dance classes and their amazing teacher whenever they called or saw him on his days off from service. All that it encouraged was his competitive spirit, not accepting that his niece and nephew looked up to someone else for something he was passionate about. He needed to meet this dance teacher, whatever it took. What he didn’t anticipate was him overthinking his every word and move, not to keep making a fool of himself in front of that person.
“The kids really admire you, but now that they are finally interested in dance, I feel like I need to earn some of that admiration, as their uncle.” He easily went back to his playful behavior, igniting the competitive spirits you indulged in before his stumbling.
You chuckled softly at Jongin’s challenging tone. “Oh really? Your humor is still intact, I see.” You scanned him playfully before you continued. “I suppose if you’re truly set on taking the title, I can’t stop you from trying. Your niece and nephew might finally get to consider you cool for once… that must definitely be tempting.”
Jongin was more than entertained by your reciprocation. His eyes had a new spark, recognizing the drive in yours that matched his own. He chuckled devilishly, but his cute face softened the effect, so your lips trembled, almost breaking your unwavering stare.
Before you could end up allowing him to see through you, you clapped your hands to get the kids attention. “Okay,” you called out, “everyone! How are you all doing? Excited for today?”
The students cheered in agreement, gathering around the two of you. Jongin couldn’t help but chuckle as he saw your interactions with the students, noticing how effortlessly they were drawn to you—especially Rahee and Raeon.
“Wonderful! Alright, before we begin, I’d like to introduce our special guest.” Turning to your side, you were surprised to see him already so engaged with your students. A small smile hid in the corner of your lips as he gazed back at you. “If you want, you can do it yourself,” you encouraged him.
His smile widened, and he tried to match the kids’ heights when he addressed them. “Hi, everyone! I’m Jongin, Rahee and Raeon’s uncle. I hope we can all have fun dancing today,” he softly said.
Jongin’s heart moved as he saw the kids’ excited faces turn towards him; their excitement was gratifying and somehow unexpected. He also caught the surprised yet joyful grins the students gave his niece and nephew, as well as the playful nose scrunches and smiles that they offered back.
You smiled at Jongin as he caught your gaze. “Should we get started then?” you asked with an encouraging smile.
At Jongin’s nod, you instructed your students to find a place somewhere in the space to begin the warm-up while you searched for the kids’ favorite playlist. At first, Jongin watched intently as you gracefully led stretches and movements to loosen muscles until you asked him for help, encouraging him to show the kids his skills. “Care to join in on the fun, our special guest?” you proposed with a playful smirk.
He grinned, stepping forward, following your steps, and later adding some jumping jacks for a little cardio. It was just too easy to find a balance in your teaching methods, and your students seemed quite interested in what Jongin taught them. He looked like a natural; though he is, teaching seemed to fit so well with him. His patience and nurturing were truly admirable.
Across-the-floor combinations brought a fresh energy, with curious and enthusiastic eyes looking at both of you as you interacted and showed the students the sequences for practice to reinforce technique.
“Amazing work, everyone!” you exclaimed. “I’m seeing a lot of improvement in ballet technique. You all have worked hard; let’s have a small break before we continue, okay?”
Raeon immediately ran towards Jongin, along with a couple of his classmates. As he wiped the sweat from his forehead and drank some water, his nephew suddenly jumped on his back, nearly toppling him off the chair he was sitting on. You were beside him, so he lightly pushed you and sprinkled some water over you.
“It’s a tie for me now, uncle.” Raeon admitted. “But we have more dances, right, teacher Y/N?” The mischievous smirk amused you. Raeon was so disciplined, even when he liked to play around a lot.
“Yes, we do! There are lots of surprises awaiting us.” You winked at him, concealing from Jongin the secret you shared with the class.
One of Raeon’s friends made Jongin grin from ear to ear as you offered him the towel you used to dry the water from your clothes. “Your uncle is cool; he’s so tall!” The kid exclaimed. When Jongin took the towel from you, his fingers softly brushed yours, causing a cute blush on his cheeks, which he attempted to hide with his hands but only managed to spill more water from his bottle on him.
You chuckled louder than you had intended; it was just too endearing to you that Joon looked so awestruck at Jongin. The man in question looked up at you, confused by your antics, but he was probably misinterpreting your reaction. “We have a cool guest today, don’t we?” you said, trying to explain your true intentions.
Jongin seemed even more flustered; one could even say shy for a more accurate word. He had been too enthusiastic about winning the kids over, especially his niece and nephew, so it felt like the greatest achievement to hear Raeon’s friend say that he was cool. But then, you said it too. He wanted to keep playing cocky and making a teasing comment, but you sounded too genuine, and instead, you managed to bring an honest smile and a slight blush to his face.
The look he gave you made your heart jump, and the corners of your lips trembled. You fiddled with the cap of your water bottle. “Are you ready?” It was too late to analyze how your sheepish question came about when Jongin enthusiastically nodded and walked over to the center of the room.
As you approached him, Rahee stepped closer, filling each of her steps with energy. “Is it time for the K-pop choreos?” she spoiled.
Jongin's eyes searched for yours, a smug smile playing on his lips as he realized he might have an advantage now. He was confident that he could surprise the kids and, perhaps more importantly, impress you.
“It-it is time!” you exclaimed and looked back at Jongin, who was already shaking his limbs, preparing to take on the teaching of the choreos. It was impossible not to giggle at his determination, but little did he know that it was actually a surprise that they had prepared for him to celebrate his birthday.
“Uncle, sit down!” Rahee tried to shove him all the way back to his seat, but she only managed to destabilize him a little. “It’s still not time to be Mr. Cool!” With that, he took some steps back as he gently laughed at his niece’s statement.
“Well, then I am Mr. Cool, huh?”
Rahee only rolled her eyes and shook her head as she continued to make him step away from the center of the room, her spunky spirit only moving his heart.
Settling onto the sidelines, he directed an anticipating glance at you, only to find you caught in joyous laughter with Raeon and Rahee. You proceeded to carefully ask everyone to get in their places and call in the parents so they could see the day’s performance. This sudden quiet gave him space to breathe and calm his beating heart, but soon enough, reality would only show how his heartbeats would race from then on.
You stood in the center of the room, all by yourself and already mesmerizing, when the song started with the beat drop of Super by Seventeen. The first ten seconds were all you, and it felt like an eternity where Jongin would’ve wanted to spend the rest of his life. The most advanced students joined you for the last ten seconds, ready for the transition to a mind-blowing mashup of Maniac by Stray Kids and Maniac by Viviz.
With that forty-second introduction, the beat turned more bubbly when all of the students joined to dance Super Shy by New Jeans. You had gone to the back so that all of the kids could have their own spotlight. Rahee and Raeon had the brightest smiles on their faces, and they followed the steps so diligently. Love Lee by AKMU was the last song they all danced to, so while the song faded out, Jongin gave a standing ovation, but a familiar melody was overlapping the fading song, and the kids moved to different places as you walked back to the center. Rahee and Raeon stood next to you, adorably getting in character and mimicking their uncle as they waited for the “stop” in his song, Rover.
Jongin flopped on his seat, his eyes flooding with happy tears as he witnessed his lovely niece and nephew dancing to his song. At some point, they took center stage, while you and the rest of the students danced behind them. The parents behind him kept clapping and cheering for their children, only making him even more emotional. They closed the choreography medley with a simulation of his fall in the music video, with Rahee catching Raeon in her arms as he fell backwards. Jongin rose up again, cheering for the little ones as they ran to him and hugged his legs.
You approached Jongin, outstretching your hand with an encouraging smile. “What do you say we have a dance battle to your song? Get the kids to choose who’s the realest cool one between us,” you offered playfully, yet somehow, your tone didn’t come off as challenging as before. It genuinely sounded more like a simple invitation to dance.
He looked at your hand and back at you, a widening smile accompanying his answer as he nodded in agreement. With a gentle gesture, he reached out and took your hand, accepting your request. The parents’ encouraging chants energized him even more, taking his place in front of you for the challenge.
The beats resonated throughout the studio as both of your bodies instantly synced into the opening pose, evoking smiles and chuckles along the way. The battle was far from competitive, as each step united you in a duet-like dance, with all moves becoming actions and reactions, leading to improvised turns and reflected motions.
The atmosphere between the two of you was so electrifying, exuding an overwhelming sense of passion and joy that captivated everyone in the room. Not a single pair of eyes dared to look away, including yours and Jongin’s, as you locked gazes with each other. Even at the song cut, your eyes remained locked, only tearing away when the kids approached, cheering and seeking their uncle’s embrace.
“Teacher Y/N! Teacher Y/N!” Rahee chanted playfully. “You have to come celebrate with us uncle’s birthday!”
“Rahee, noona!” Raeon exclaimed and shook his head at his sister, defeat clear in his face at Rahee’s second spoiler of the day.
Jongin watched, amused, beaming at the kids, and then he looked at you intentionally. “Whatever the celebration is, you should come.”

to be honest ᡣ𐭩 kim jongin
Tumblr media
fluff, slight angst, jealousy pushed jongin to confess 😔, friends to lovers, grammatical error
jongin x f!reader
a/n okay so i decided that i would just write my exo fanfic here too
the party were bustling with people. some were socializing with jongin while the others try to socialize with others instead. despite all these people talking to him, his mind wander elsewhere, your new dress engraved in his head. his eyes always flicking around the room, trying to find your figure and if possible, not leave it anymore.
his heart skipped a beat when his eyes landed on you. though his heart ached at the sight of you laughing at the jokes suho had been making. seriously, he isn't even that funny. jongin scoffed, an ugly feeling of jealousy brimming up.
he took a bite from his birthday cake aggressively, eyes not leaving any details that you made. the way your eyes crinkled when you laughed or the way your teeth showed when you smiled widely.
something inside him snapped when he sees suho's hand resting on your lower back. he excused himself from his table and stride over to where you. without saying a word, he grabbed your wrist and basically dragged you towards somewhere quiet. "jongin-"
he pushed you against the wall, his face slightly hurt with a pout plastered on his lips. "why were you laughing at his jokes?" he questioned. during this moment, he was basically wearing his heart out on his sleeve. "because it was funny? what's wrong, jongin?" you asked softly, slightly concerned by the sudden change in his behaviour.
his grip on your shoulder tightened a little. "but suho-hyung isn't even that funny!" he insisted. "you didn't laugh at my joke that hard. so why..?" he asked again, more softly now. "jongin-" you slipped out of his grip and take one of his hand in yours. "your jokes are funny. they always makes me laugh. you always know what to say to cheer me up," you smiled. "you really don't have to be jealous,"
"then why did you let him put his hand on you?"
"because he wasn't flirting like other guys?" you tilted your head. "what's wrong? this isn't like you at all?" you asked again, your concern had been doubled as time passes. jongin closed his eyes before facing away from you, his hand slipping out of your grip. "it's nothing," he muttered. you knew that he was still pouting even though he is faced away from you. "it's not nothing if it got you acting like this,"
he faced you again, his face were slightly frowned and he couldn't meet your eyes this time. "that's because i like you! why can't you see it?!" he raised his voice slightly. you could see his hands clenched tight and his body were trembling slightly. "you like me?" your eyes widened.
your eyes softened, one of your hands caressed his face while the other held his clenched fist. "look at me," you said softly. "i like you too," you smiled. "so please, you don't have to be jealous again. or be sad again," you kissed the tear that had slipped on his cheek.

Airport Dad™️ (who in exo is an airport dad)
minseok: he is an airport dad if he plans the trip, otherwise, you will have his boarding pass/passport. but he definitely wants to get to the airport on time regardless.
junmyeon: oh he is definitely an airport dad. he is so used to taking care of the members that it’s simply just second nature to him. he’s got your boarding pass/passport in his bag before you can even think to look for it.
baekhyun: tries to be an airport dad, but fails. he misplaces his boarding pass after going through security (it’s in his bag, of course) and then gives up and let’s you carry everything to make sure nothing gets lost. it’s more safe with you anyway!
jongdae: there is no way he isn’t an airport dad! he makes sure your bag is the proper weight before getting to the airport, has all of your itinerary printed out and in a folder, along with your boarding pass/passport. you simply just need to show up, which he takes care of as well.
chanyeol: he is the farthest thing from being an airport dad. you don’t even let him carry his own boarding pass/passport for fear of it being lost, thus you getting delayed. he’s a pro at airport security, so there’s no problems there, but you take care of everything else.
kyungsoo: also an airport dad. everything is properly planned out to the minute, and he arrives at the airport exactly 2 hours before boarding, and smoothly gets through security with both of your stuff in tow. he constantly checks the board with departures to make sure the plane is still on time!!
jongin: definitely not an airport dad! he gives you all of his documents before you guys even leave for the airport, because he cannot be trusted to keep track of them. he lets you take control of everything up until you land at your destination.
sehun: similar to baekhyun, he tries and fails, but only because he realizes it would be much easier to make you take care of everything. he’s less prompt, but never misses his plane!

Flirty Drunk ~ Kim Jongin
Tumblr media
A sigh came from you as you looked between Sehun and Chanyeol as they struggled to hold Jongin up in their arms. You could tell from his expression straight away that he had had far too much to drink, unable to stand on his own two feet, eyes lost in all sorts of directions.
You took a step back as the two boys tried to get Jongin through the front door, carrying him through and into your living room. With a thud, Jongin crashed down on the sofa with a groan, already feeling his head start to hurt.
“We told him to stop, but he didn’t listen,” Chanyeol told you as they both stepped back from where Jongin was. “For some reason he spent most of the night asking where you were and why you hadn’t shown up when you said that you’d be at the party.”
“We tried to tell him that you were busy,” Sehun added, “but try talking to him in this state and making sure that he listens.”
Your head nodded understandingly as you watched Jongin roll around on the sofa to get comfortable. You weren’t quite sure what you were going to do with him, knowing that it would only lead to one thing in the morning, and that was trouble.
“I’m home, does that mean Y/N’s here?” Jongin asked the two boys as he began to figure out where he was. Chanyeol nodded back at Jongin whilst Sehun looked across at you with a shrug of his shoulders.
A weak smile formed on his face, “I don’t think he’s going to be wanting us anymore, I think he’s all yours from now on.”
“What am I supposed to do?” You frowned back at them both, “there’s no way that I’m ever going to be able to get him up the stairs and into bed when he’s like this, it’s just impossible.”
“Leave him on the sofa,” Chanyeol joked as the boys started heading for the door, “it’s probably the least that he deserves after tonight.”
You smiled back at them both as they left your apartment before turning your attention to Jongin. As soon as you walked towards him, his eyes lit up, sitting himself up on the sofa as he realised who it was that was walking towards him.
“Hey good looking,” Jongin giggled, tapping the space that was bedside him on the sofa. “I missed you so much, parties are never the same without you.”
Before you even had the chance to sit, Jongin collapsed down and rested himself against your shoulder. His hand grabbed at your arm and moved it to drape across his shoulders, keeping a tight grip on him to make sure that you couldn’t possibly move your arm away from him too.
“None of the people at the party were as pretty as you, they didn’t even come close.”
A chuckle came from you as Jongin continued to mumble to himself, not really realising what it was that he was saying. You were very aware as to what he was saying though, stunned by how adoring he suddenly was towards you.
His voice continued to trail off before suddenly picking back up as he realised what it was that he was saying. The only moment when Jongin felt silent, was when at last he turned to face you, the smile on his face immediately turning up.
“Wow,” he whispered to himself as his hazy eyes studied you closely, “how did I get lucky enough to get to be with you Y/N?”
“I don’t know,” you laughed, unsure as to what to say in reply to Jongin, “but I hope that you remember asking this in the morning.”
“The morning?” He asked you, glancing across at the clock, “it already is the morning, silly, they cheered at the party for midnight.”
It was the last thing that Jongin told you that night as before you knew it, he was asleep on your shoulder, with no sign of seeming as if he was going to wake himself up anytime soon either.
Somehow you managed to do enough to make Jongin comfortable on the sofa, hoping that he would at least wake up without screaming about the hangover that he was experiencing with everything that you had left out for him.
You managed to sleep upstairs for a while, but with Jongin downstairs, you couldn’t rest for long, worrying too much about how he would be feeling, or if he would be sleeping.
You weren’t surprised when you headed downstairs early the following morning to see Jongin already awake. He was sat up on the sofa with his head in his hands, flinching even just at the sound of the stairs creaking as you made your way down them.
“I just want silence,” Jongin told you as you moved to sit on the arm of the sofa.
“That’s funny, because you were a right little chatterbox last night,” you informed him, watching Jongin’s eyes flicker across to look at you. “You had plenty to say about me, and how the other people at the party too.”
Jongin’s shoulders shrugged as he failed to recollect anything of what had happened the previous evening. “What did I say?” He asked, slightly anxious to know the answer, knowing exactly what he could be like.
“It’s a relief to know that you went to a party where all the girls were ugly.”
“I said that?” Jongin gasped, shaking his head at himself. “I mean they weren’t as beautiful as you, but none of them were ugly Y/N.”
The sound of your sniggers didn’t help Jongin, his face was a picture, a picture that you couldn’t wait to tease some more.
“You did mention too that you feel incredibly lucky to be able to date me too.”
“Is that the only thing that I said to you?”
“Absolutely not,” you laughed, “I think I could write a book with all of the compliments that you gave me last night.”
“I don’t remember even seeing you last night,” he admitted, letting go of a sigh.
“It’s lucky for you that I remember everything then,” you joked, sliding down the arm of the sofa so that you were sat beside Jongin. “Like how apparently you spent most of the party asking the boys for me.”
Jongin’s head tilted back shamefully, “that means that I’m never going to hear the end of that at work this week.”
“They were very disappointed to be second best to me.”
“They always are,” Jongin quickly reassured you.
Your head nodded back at Jongin as his tired eyes struggled to stay on you, not to mention the fight he had to put up against the throbbing pain in his head too.
Your hand came around him, just as it did last night, assuring him not to worry. “Did you take the tablets that I left down the side on the floor for you to take?” You asked him, only to see his head shake.
“I didn’t even notice there was anything,” he replied, peering over.
“I left water, tablets, and a fresh shirt for you to change into as I knew you’d wake up moaning about your head hurting.”
“See this, is why I compliment you so much,” Jongin told you.
“Why is it?” You asked in confusion, watching Jongin get the tablets.
His eyes widened as you innocently smiled across at him. “Because you always take care of me, and always make me feel so loved too.”
“Well, I know you’d do the same for me if I was in your position,” you responded, “your drunk self gave me plenty of laughs last night.”
“I don’t think I want to hear the rest.”
