I'm in Australia. Where can I get tangles without ridiculously high shipping costs?

Hello, fellow Aussie! Depending on where you’re located, you may be able to find them locally; if you can’t, I have several cheap (under $3 USD) ebay links for you to check out. Thanks to the information provided by other Aussie stimmers on Tumblr (I seriously adore the way everyone helps everyone else to get their hands on a Tangle!) I do have resources to help Aussies get, at very least, their own Tangle Jr.

Other Tangles are more difficult, and a few aren’t accessible without a willingness to spend money: I haven’t yet found a Tangle Therapy, for example, that has reasonable international shipping or non-ridiculous internal shipping and reasonable item prices from Aussie webstores.

If you want more variety than the standard Tangle Jr to choose from, see if you’re close to any Toyworld stores. (Especially if you’re on the East Coast.) While I have not seen Tangles in every single Toyworld store, I have personally seen (and purchased) Hairy Tangles (between $10 and $15 AUD - the price varies from store to store) the regular Tangle Jr ($5 or $6 AUD, depending on store), the Tangle Jr Textured ($6 AUD), the Tangle Jr Fuzzy ($6 AUD), the Tangle Jr Metallic ($6 or $7 AUD, depending on the store) and the Tangle Jr Textured Metallic ($10 AUD). I own one of everything but the regular metallic Tangle because I’m not fond of the finish chipping. Please take these prices as a guide: Toyworld stores seem to price at the whims of the owner, unlike department stores where prices are the same from store to store.

I’ve also seen Tangles (just Tangle Jr and Tangle Jr Textured) at Mind Games (Vic, Tas, QLD) for somewhere between $10 to $15 AUD. This is a last resort reference, because I think these ones are pretty overpriced compared to Toyworld.

In addition, Aussies in this post mention finding Tangles in Kidstuff stores in QLD and NSW.

If you’re happy with just getting a Tangle Jr for as cheap as possible, this post contains positive feedback from two Aussies who have successfully purchased Tangles from the very cheap ebay.com links available at the moment.

You can, however, go even cheaper: there’s BIN listings at $1.97 USD (free shipping), $.99 USD ($.99 USD shipping), $1.49 USD ($.56 USD shipping) or $1.30 USD ($.59 USD shipping). For $2 USD, you can have any one of these Tangles delivered to your door; all of them offer international shipping for the listed prices.

(I put an order in myself from the $1.97 USD link: I ended up buying three Tangles for $8 AUD after Paypal’s conversion. I couldn’t even buy two Toyworld Tangle Jrs for that price! They haven’t yet arrived, but I got an email stating they’d been shipped only a handful of hours after payment, and I’ll update on the experience myself as soon as I get them. With any luck, it’ll be some time this week or next week! If it goes well, I’ll likely get a few more to keep for replacing broken links and the like.)
