Keyslinger is the perfect thing to call someone who uses a keyblade, because almost all of them have slung their keyblade as an attack.

Sora did it in 1, Chain of Memories, 2, Recoded(technically-), DDD, and 3(against only large bodies or in rage form but it still counts).

Riku did in DDD.

Kairi had it as a gap closer in Re:mind.

Roxas does it in his boss fight in 2, and I thiiiiink in days when dual wielding.

Xion doesn't do it in days, but her limit cut boss fight has a throwing move(Virgin "please work!!" Vs chad "DONT MISS").

Axel's whole fighting style is throwing.

Aqua, Terra, and ESPECIALLY Ventus can Strike Raid.

Even Xehanort did it in Dark Road(trick raid is the best raid btw)and probably the sawblade attack with the X-Blade.

Terranort is both Terra and Xehanort to he counts twice /j

Off the top of my head, Vanitas, Eraqus, and the foretellers probably never Raid, and we've never seen Luxu or M.O.M. fight with Keyblades, so they're... ambiguous.

Maybe Strike Raid was seen as a noobie technique back in the age of fairytales, who knows-

In conclusion, there's more keyslingers than... actually, wait.

Sora, Riku, Kairi, Ven, Aqua, Terra, Roxas, Axel, Xion, and Xehanort. That's 10 confirmed slingers...

And the 5 foretellers, Luxu, M.o.m, Vanitas, and Eraqus makes 9 ambiguous slingers. Okay-

IN CONCLUSION.

More people have thrown their Keyblades as an attack than not, therefore Keyslinger is the better term for one who wields a keyblade.

Lea eyes Roxas from across the training area, Bond of the Blaze gripped lightly in his hand. He has to remind himself to actually tighten his grip, to hold the blade firmly. He'd always needed to have a somewhat loose grip with his chakrams, and the habit was a hard one to break.

He flashes Roxas a large grin, swinging the blade over his shoulder as he tilts his head. "I gotta say, these things are pretty nifty, huh? I've been doing nothing but training ever since I came back. Why, I bet I'm almost better than you are now!"

There was no way that Roxas wasn't going to be at least a little rusty after all that time spent inside of Sora, right? Maybe Lea actually had a chance here.

Sure, Lea wasn't the best Keyslinger in the World, but he had to be in better form than the guy who'd basically spent a year not existing.

Or, he was making a massive misjudgment, and Roxas was going to completely whip his sorry ass. Either way, Lea had been thinking about throwing down with him ever since he'd managed to actually make his blade appear.

Lea shifts his grip on Bond of the Blaze and turns it so that it's pointed at his training partner. He tilts his chin up in a clear 'come and get me' motion.

"I'll let you make the first move."

Introducing the main protagonist of Forgotten Arcadia... Ciel! (And his sister Celeste.)

Wielder Identity: Ciel Lumiere

Age: 15 (Almost every chapter of Part 1 after a certain threshold.) 16 (Part 2)

Union: Vulpes

Party during the Age of Fairy Tales: Neo Arcadia

Race: Miqo'te-l'Cie hybrid. (Albeit his hair was dyed to a bluish-green by himself.)

Keyblades of Choice: Starlight, Sleeping Lion, Bad Guy Breaker. (Ciel balances Strength, Speed, and Magic for his fighting style, but favors Speed, owing to him being inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog's attitude and disdain towards injustice, as well as the Avatar's friendly nature in the actual KHUX.)

Hair colors: Blue (dyed), Black (Natural)

Eye color: Blue

Weight: Roughly 180 lbs owing to his physical activity and blitzball hobby

Height: 5'8" (Age of Fairy Tales), 5'11" (Present Day)

Details: Ciel was intrigued by the tales of Keyblade Wielders as a young child. Unaware of his family's history, Ciel was chosen by the Keyblade for the sake of saving the World from an inbalance of light and darkness that may linger long after his generation dies. Ciel's friends often serve as his power... but in reality, Ciel sees his friends not as means to ends, but as people worth fighting for. Killing or harming those he cares about will result in an angry boy hellbent on avenging those he lost and justice for them. While Ciel hates Wielder on Wielder violence and killing, he has no qualms of doing so if his loved ones and friends are threatened.

Those close to the two will know) Little Sky (Strelitzia's personal nickname for him. Believe it or not, Ciel doesn't mind it since he's her Little Sky.) The War-Hero of the Dandelions, Everyone's Twin Hero...

Curse Word: Damn. Count how many times he'll say it during the first part WHEN he starts cursing. (The story will also include other curses) He's also fond of "Bastard," but that's for those on his hit list.

Hobbies: Blitzball, reading, gardening, cooking, and gaming whenever the World isn't at risk.

Age: Mostly similar to Ciel's owing to her being the latter's older twin sister (15 and 16 in Part 1 and Part 2 respectively)

Race: Miqo'te-l'Cie hybrid. (Albeit, she keeps the latter a secret towards anyone out of her party. Ciel is proud to be both.)

Keyblades of Choice: Starlight, Treasure Trove, and anything Strength oriented. (The payoff is slightly less speed, but she's no less nimble as her younger brother.)

Hair color: Dark Brown

Eye color: Blue

Weight: It's a sensitive subject for her.

Height: 5'8" (Age of Fairy Tales) 5'9" (Present Day. She's barely taller than Strelitzia.)

Details: Celeste started off her Keyslinging days a year earlier than her brother. While she has a bubbly and frivolous personality, her actual personality is serious when she needs to be serious. Despite this, her maturity is on par with her brother's. (Typical maturity, but laid back.) If their mother's cooking is involved, both siblings will act their age no matter what. Celeste has three specific methods of angering her, those are mentioning her weight, threatening, harming, or killing her loved ones, and harming, killing, kidnapping, corrupting, and vesselizing Ciel. (Seriously... DON'T HARM CIEL.) On a pettier note, she hates it when her mint chip ice cream is consumed without her permission.

Teeth gritted into a wide smirk as another volley rolled from arrow guns. Sinking deep into black clouds of smoke as blue and black veins continued to rise up from the ground. Yellow empty eyes seeking hungrily to smite out any Heart or source of power.

True Vanitas has control of his Unversed. Some Pureblood Heartless refused to take orders however. Neoshadows, Invisibles? Really? And while he knew the kid used to have his own, fresh faced from the void was no reason to be running neck deep into a fight of twenty to one. Senseless.

“Why? You got something to prove to the Old Coot?” Xigbar bit back, gold eye shooting him a glance, before his guns pulled to his front, deflecting a slash of claws aimed for his chest.

“Kid, go! You can’t handle these numbers yet.”

♕ - He’s attentive once he captures her tone drawing her own rhythm of life into words. Images that flourish with familiar scenes, both wondrous in nature to solemn and chilling depending on both the setting and the scenario. It was always a touch magical getting a grasp of seeing how creativity could always put a particular lens upon a situation. If he didn’t know any better.. this could’ve been a melodious way to ask him a series of questions.

Questions that held both answers and their wonders. Stepping forth, Sora could only clap as a flash of approval settles on his face.

..That said, he didn’t even pause to consider if she finished yet.

”What a voice ya got there! If I didn’t know any better, here I’d imagine you were speaking of some kind of fairy tale..” One that succeeds in hitting one too many notes in a Keyslinger’s journey.

Xehanort had spend many hours in the library going over as many textbooks as possible. At this point he had lost track how long he was there. The only indication of the time passing was the amount of empty coffee cups sat before him.

As much as he tried to avoid sleep he could no longer register what the words on the pages said. To his tired eyes everything had started to get hazy.

Suddenly the sound of a chair moving woke him from his half sleep. He’d noticed a woman with brown hair dressed in black. Though he was still unable to keep his eyes open. He nearly dozed off and by the time he had opened his eyes again she was gone. No further sign anyone was ever there.

‘...breakable connection...’ ‘....stand down...’ ‘... darkness in check...’ ‘...weirdest brothers.’ ‘... end in darkness.’ ‘... that’s not what the master told you.’ ‘... real keyslinger.’ ‘... friends...’ ‘...a product of my sin.’ ‘... don’t go.’ Many voices seem to have started talking all at once. All sounding familiar yet voices he was sure he had never heard before.

A headache would start to form. The voices wouldn’t stop. Until they all yelled at once in anger, ‘XEHANORT!’

“Hey, Xehanort!” Braig was there when he did finally open his eyes. A pounding pain in his head became sharper. The lights just making it worse. “Dude, you really should go to bed. Picking up on Even’s bad habits isn’t going to do you any good.”

My favorite muse(s) of theirs and why: Ohhh man this is such a hard choice to make? Because if I’m being honest, I love every character I’ve ever seen you  write. I’ll be honest, there’s a special soft part of my heart for your alchemist AU Hughes and the little family we scratched up for teeny tiny Scar, because let me tell you  that shit added decades onto my lifespan. But I also love how much care you’ve put into developing Jesse, and baby Kimbles, way back when (that tiny gremlin was the first time we ever wrote together, remember that?). And let’s not even get me started on Olivia. Holy shit, I would kill or die for Livvy. She’s just a sweet, sweet little bean, and you’ve absolutely given her so much life and being and personality and just presence, if that makes sense. Just- You’re such a great writer, and it really shines through in how you’ve developed every character you’ve written. They’re all so deep and alive and just. Wow. I love it. 

My favorite interaction/thread of theirs: G o d again okay I really did love the papa Hughes and baby Scar threads we had going on way back when, but I also love Livvy and my son being the puff squad. And I love the three tired Spanish superheroes we’ve got going on with Erika. They’re just. All so good.

My thoughts on their unique characterization/interpretation of their muse(s): See above, but I will never pass up on the chance to say that Alex is wonderful beyond words. 

My thoughts on their writing style as a whole: It’s amazing. I’ve always loved it and that’s not going to change. I’d describe it as conversational, which I’ve heard said about my own; So, maybe I’m kinda bias, but that’s the sort of thing I dig. I love it. 

Situation(s)/Plot(s) I’d love to see their muse(s) in: This is going to sound hypocritical, but can we let them be happy? Just for once? Let them be safe and warm in a happy, healthy home for once. I’ll fight Livvy’s adoptive parents behind every Denny’s in the country if I had to. 

Someone else I love seeing them interact with: I love all of your interactions tbh. Seeing Livvy slowly take over the world is a wonderful  thing to experience. 

Anything else I want to say about their roleplaying: If it were a food I would eat it.
