do you think kevin/jean/renee could ever be something....... not in canon but you know. in our hearts

DO I EVER. anon are you in my brain. i had this thought like three hours ago. anyway YES absolutely especially if we take them slightly out of canon and to the left. jean has two hands.

i think the most plausible way it would happen is if jean stayed at psu which would expedite his reconciling-with-kevin timeline. instead of after the finals as per EC it would be like. a month in bc they literally cannot avoid each other the flip side of this is that he would probably be less adjusted than he would be with the trojans bc the foxes will always have riko & the ravens hanging over their heads.

i also think renee and jean would be together officially at this point like i don't think it would take jeanee very long after jean starts at psu at all. in my heart they start a relationship after jean goes to usc anyway bc i can't part with them but you know. That pesky little thing (the EC whom i love dearly) exists to tell me they do not. cue: a very confusing conversation with renee bc i don't think jean can keep a secret from her after she was his only outlet for all those months they were texting wherein he is like "renee i think i am in love with kevin" and renee is like " i know :) are you going to do anything about it?" and poor jean is like "What. Am i what. You??? What ???? KEVIN!!! as in DAY!!"

now if we're talking like Full all everyone everything poly.......... i don't know i really don't. i just genuinely can't think of a single time renee and kevin talk to base my opinion around. but i think both of them would love jean enough to just let him do whatever :) this is my boyfriend jean and this is jean's boyfriend kevin :) sometimes kevin and jean start acting insane bc the nest is hanging over them & renee is like Wow. imo kevrenee as a dynamic is very very underexplored. hear me out: kevin, the absolute asshole that no one in the team can bear to be around, aka "its rotten work", x renee, who believes that everyone can be forgiven, or "not to me, not if it's you" ofc thats only at the surface level. but,

also in the first jeanee scene at the banquet, when renee introduced herself to jean, right after the ravens cornered kevin, neil and andrew. renee just looped her arm in kevin's out of literally nowhere??? and kevin had no reaction, despite being hyper vigilant because the ravens were around??? you cant tell me that we arent missing something there.

THERE IS SOMETHING MAGICAL IN THE AIR. kevjeanee........... the seed has been planted. i do really think renee would let kevin have an outlet i think she'd let him talk about history even if she's not actually listening :) it's not her fault she's not listening he has a lot to say and she has a very short attention span. in return kevin listens to her talk about whatever silly little thing she's interested in and then also religion and he LISTENS bc its interesting to him both as a historian and as a Catholic ? let's discuss

kevin and renee don’t have many big moments in the books i don’t think but there are some painfully domestic or sweet parts like during andrew’s stay in easthaven when kevin and renee (and nicky) slept together on the floor (which i’ve deluded myself into thinking is kevrenee content). also when she meets jean for the first time she has her arm locked with kevin’s :) and she’s the only fox kevin allows to hug him (or at least the first who tries) :) and her begging for his help when she was going to take jean… this is just off the top of my head but i believe they would be good because renee is very reliable and strong and i think when she lets more edge shine through kevin would be really enamored by her :)!

i know you have a catholic jean streak but i also love for kevin and renee a bonding moment because i believe kayleigh was catholic 🤏 my reasoning for this is that during the kathy interview neil notes kevin audibly praying under his breath (adorable to me). so i think she could also get him to reconnect with faith and the idea of a religious community as a whole…. renee is like if andrew was a better influence and a lot more charming

i am all for catholic Everyone. ESPECIALLY in the nest theres something delicious to me about them maintaining a belief system that simultaneously tells them that they deserve everything they're going through and it is all for the light at the end of the tunnel. if god is truly benevolent then why must i go through this for my happy ending. Whatever. kevin i think picked up catholicism actually kind of similar to renee vs jean "sunday mass his entire childhood" moreau bc kevin was much much much younger when he went to the nest like he was 6 at that point he wouldn't really remember kayleigh much less catholicism. which now i am thinking about kevin going to mass at psu and meeting renee there by accident. sits next to you :) the thing about kevjeanee housekeeping/accounting is that while kevin is not dyslexic like jeanee i fear that he is not good at math either..... i think he's probably Better at it than jean and renee but he's not of much help i don't think........ last year i overpaid my credit card at least four times because im bad at math so i think kevin would be like that. they trust him and he's basically giving their money for free to the bank. jean (grew up poor in my mind) would be furious. but if they put their three thinking heads together they can surely come up with something!

i like chronic migraines for jean i think he's very bruised bird shot from the sky etc no matter what nothing really works for him........ and he can do something dramatic like drop to the floor like an unwound doll and put his head on kevins or renees lap..... and its ok because puppies do these things....!! in a way i think the most fun of kevjeanee is the potential for hovering + doting for jean it presents because its like two of his biggest supporters. (kicks feet) i also think jean and renee are also two people i can see kevin going easier on/excusing for so its cute to me to think about... renee spacing out in practice and kevin being like well she's trying very hard. or jeremy calling in and saying jean beat up another striker and kevins like he's working on it :) you know? you do know user luvbug724 you have to

also re: kevrenee mass together ITS CUTE... i think sometimes the fandom at large um i guess doesnt really think much about renee's relationship to religion but i feel like another one of the foxes (and especially kevin maybe... in my heart) being there with her would make her very happy. i hope when its ash wednesday she approaches him in practice and puts ash on his gay little forehead :) i hope all the old ladies think they're dating or getting married soon and have no idea of the jezabel in california waiting for them (jean)
