Okay, we've all heard abt Desmond accidentally calling Shaun "Leo" or "Malik" and Shaun freaking out. And that's fun and all, but allow me to propose:
- A very tired Desmond called Rebecca "Claudia," and Rebecca's heart melted a little.
- Shaun brough Desmond some tea after a long session in the Animus, and he said, "Thank you, Shay." It took Desmond a good ten seconds to realize why everyone was staring.
- William was being Awful as per usual, and Desmond snapped in a perfect English accent. "Charles, control yourself or I'll have to ask you leave." The resulting explosion was heard from Abstergo headquarters.

Okay in what if ziio lived in pretty sure she promised haytham that if the templars attacked her village she would kill him so we cut to the burning of the village ziio lives and is on a warpath looking for haytham so she leaves Connor to be watched by Achilles and shenanigans happen but it results to Connor sneaking in to the wagon that Achilles and ziio are using to arrive to Boston ziio confronting haytham and let’s throw Shay by having him find a lost Connor and trying to help him find his mother while Achilles sis looking for him
Before we think of how this would work, we should clear up the timeline. Ratonhnhaké:ton’s village being attacked happens in 2 November 1760. Shay killing everyone but Achilles happens in March 1760.
(Let's be clear that Haytham did not order the burning of the village but they don't know that. They believe it's a Templar action which means Haytham approved of it)
This means that, if we are going for Kaniehtí:io bringing Ratonhnhaké:ton on her warpath to Achilles perhaps in 1761 then Achilles would be halfway between being his grumpy AC3 self and drowning in pain, guilt and grief. Maybe that’s why Kaniehtí:io let Ratonhnhaké:ton stay with Achilles, she believes Achilles needs a reason to keep living, to keep walking to the present each day.
Ratonhnhaké:ton knows this in some way. His mother tells him that he’s there to help Achilles. Not to move on but to never forget that he is still alive.
Kaniehtí:io would probably think that she’s being hypocritical herself. She’s the one dragging the past with her in this quest of vengeance.
She’s the reason why she and her son had been banished from the tribe. Her desire for vengeance finally being the final fight she would have with her mother who told her that, if she leaves the village to commit such violence, she would never be welcomed back.
Ratonhnhaké:ton had been collateral damage. She had been willing to leave him behind, knowing he would be much safer with the tribe than with her.
Or so she thought she had the will to do such a cruel thing to her son.
Until her son begged to come with her.
And her will crumbled.
She didn’t want to part with her son.
So she dragged him into danger.
Because of her personal vendetta against Haytham Kenway.
They stayed in the empty homestead for a year or so, Kaniehtí:io learning how to be an Assassin from a reluctant Achilles. Ratonhnhaké:ton watches and thinks he wants to be an Assassin as well.
It is a somber affair for Kaniehtí:io.
Was she pulling her son to a similar path that Haytham Kenway walks?
She can’t be sure anymore.
All she is sure is that this path of vengeance is hers alone.
That’s why she left Ratonhnhaké:ton to Achilles after receiving a clue to where Haytham Kenway was.
While she was gone, Achilles went to Boston to purchase a few supplies needed to repair the homestead. Rainy seasons were upon them and there was a new hole on the roof that needed to be fixed. It was meant to be a simply supply run.
He left Ratonhnhaké:ton back in the homestead because he was old enough and there was a kind family there that would check up on him every day.
He had just parked his wagon when he realized that Ratonhnhaké:ton had sneaked inside the wagon, covered by the cloth he had placed over it.
Achilles told Ratonhnhaké:ton to stay close but Ratonhnhaké:ton couldn’t help but look all around him, finding everything new and interesting.
Before he knew it, he was lost.
And that’s how Shay found him.
He had only been there to visit the local Templars under Haytham Kenway’s orders.
He saw the boy lost and tried to help.
Achilles found them in an empty alleyway while Shay was trying to get the boy to trust him enough to tell him if he knew where his parents were or where he last saw them.
Their eyes met.
And thy were back in the Arctic once more…
Achilles’ knee ached and threatened to burn him from the inside.
Shay looked like he had seen a ghost, had hoped that he would never see Achilles ever again.
And that’s when…
Achilles threw his cane at Shay, making Shay step back to evade it. Achilles took that time to order Ratonhnhaké:ton to run and never look back.
Ratonhnhaké:ton runs because he sensed the panic in Achilles’ voice and Achilles…
He remained.
He could never outrun Shay.
Not in his current state.
But he could…
Keep his busy enough for Ratonhnhaké:ton to escape.
He was a smart boy.
He will survive even without Achilles.
“Why does he need to run, Achilles?” Shay asked, eyes narrowing as he growled, “Is there a reason why I should chase after him?”
“That depends…” Achilles stared at him.
One of his pupils.
The last remaining child of the Brotherhood he had nurtured.
The traitor who killed everyone else.
The man who tried to do the right thing.
But at what cost?
Achilles wasn’t even sure who he was thinking about anymore.
Was he thinking about Shay Cormac?
Or of himself?
“If he was an Assassin…”
“… would you kill him too, Shay Cormac?”

Kana was raised on a Reservation, Colt feels really bad that he couldn't give his children better but at the same time, that Rez was all that they had. By day time, he'd take his kids into the forest and everyone gossiped about him and them because his family had always been weird outcasts. Kana became apart of the Detective League when the Legion of Doom was preying on poor natives on different Reservations and she helped assist them on this mission. Maikel told her they could use her skills in the League and she shrugged, saying she had a duty to her family.
So Maikel ended up observing them for a while, The entire Kenways knew it because they've always had a knack for that stuff.
Maikel tried spying on them through the trees and James was all: "Pretty nice view, here, right?"/ Maikel: "WHAT THE-"
Or he'd do it from a bush and stuff and Cyrus walks behind him: "Dude, that's the bush where all the raccoons do their business-"
And eventually he was caught by Colt who was all: "Don't you think your moms are worried about you, kid?"
"Dont you think your talents are wasted here?"
Then he offered them money to move into a city of their choice. At first Colt didn't want to because he didnt need money from a kid, no matter how rich he was, but then he saw all three of his kids get excited about it and he sighed and caved in.
They currently live in Star City but their really adventurous and like to explore other cities using teleports and stuff and kinda do their own vigilante shenanigans.

I have an AC3 AU in the works where the Jackdaw crew, including Edward, are all alive, but Haytham is still a Templar and Ratonhnhaké:ton is still an Assassin. It's probably going to stay in draft form for a while, but enjoy a snippet anyways.
Anne stared, "Holy shit, you're actually real?"
Ratonhnhaké:ton blinked, "Why... would I not be real?"
"Well, some of us thought Haytham had made you up," Mary-James had the good grace to look somewhat apologetic, "In their defense, the idea that an actual woman had an child with Haytham did seem unlikely."
"Bloody weird," Anne agreed, "I mean, next thing you know, we'll find out that Cormac is an real Templar."
Haytham sighed in the manner of someone about to rehash an embittered family argument, "As I have been telling you all for years, Shay is a real Templar."
Edward put his head in his hands, "Oh, not this again."

idk if this was asked already but have you watched/read Red, White & Royal Blue? The movie surprised me bc it was actually well done. But consider this!!! son of the first american female president Desmond Miles meet-disasters prince Altair, second son of the british princess Maud and syrian dignitary(?) Umar. Malik is Altair's older brother bc he has the energy : D Connor is Desmond's cousin bc i love him. its difficult for Desmond as ppl expect him to live up to Altair's reputation as the prodigious but aloof prince or whatever. In the books Alex Clairemont-Diaz has a sister who pretends to date Prince Henry when rumors of their relationship was going around, Desmond needs a big sister we should give him a sister. You know what just make the whole family big and add the Auditores in the mix, they could be more Miles cousins or idk maybe Italian royalty. You can run with it however you like tho!!!
I haven’t watched it yet but it is in my watchlist XD
Okay, so let’s set up the backstory for this one!
For this one, how about Desmond is the son of Jennifer Scott, the first American female president (sidebar: in this one, the Kenways have been in America for centuries so they’re an American family coming from ‘old money’).
This would make Ratonhnhaké:ton his cousin while Haytham suffers as the the little brother of the president XD
Of course, Edward is the best grandfather who may or may not be helping any shenanigans Desmond gets into. Ratonhnhaké:ton swears he’s there to keep an eye on his cousin but ends up helping him instead.
As for the Auditores… hhhhmmmm. Perhaps they’re Desmond’s cousins from his father’s side (William Auditore Scott being the youngest brother of Giovanni Auditore) and he grew up with them so they’re more like siblings than cousins?
To Altaïr’s side…
Altaïr would be the second son of the British Princess Maud after she remarried the Syrian dignitary Umar (and it was a huuuggee scandal) who already had two sons, Malik and Kadar. This means that Malik and Kadar would be older than Altaïr (with Kadar being a year older maybe?) and would be his half brothers.
Who were Maud’s first son?
Jacob Fyre who has an older twin, the crown princess Evie Frye.
That’s right! We’re making Altaïr have a complicated big family in this one!
Also, we can change up the whole ‘sister pretends to date the prince’ and have Evie pretend-date Desmond instead, doing it as a favor to Altaïr and also because she does care for her younger brother.
So, in this case, Altaïr is torn between two families, the royal family who are pushing so much expectations and duties to him which he’s able to meet and his father’s family who worries about him and thinks all that royal ‘power’ is getting in his head (they’re worried about his arrogance as well as this problem of his of believing he has to be the best at everything). His accomplishments are also driving a wedge between him and his older siblings, especially with Evie who is supposed to be the crown princess but is always compared to her younger half-brother while Jacob ignores it the way he always does (so yeah, Altaïr’s royal family is screwed up… oh, did I mention we’ll have Minerva as Maud’s mother and reigning queen to add more drama in the royal family? I didn’t? Well, now you know XD)
And then we have Desmond Scott, the charming oldest son of the president of the United State, who always act like everything is okay and he’s having a great time, even when he has heard and read all the comparisons being ‘whispered’ behind his back comparing him to Altaïr’s reputation, not knowing that Altaïr is annoyed by Desmond’s friendly ‘laziness’ (he gets along with Jacob sooo well it’s scary) and it took him a while to realize that he was actually jealous of Desmond because he makes it look like living with such powerful parents was… easy.
Enjoyable even.
And the more they spend time together, the more they realize that their jealousy was transforming into something much more deeper…
… and more dangerous.
(I know you wanted Desmond to get a big sister but I was thinking who we could add and it was either Layla or Lucy (or Rebecca or Bishop???) in my mind but it felt like that wouldn’t work for some reason so, instead, Altaïr gets the Frye twins as his older siblings XD Desmond instead gets to have two younger siblings. One of them is Arno, of course, because Arno deserves a happy childhood and maybe… Lucy? idk)
