No one can't really describe how freakin' bad I feel, how uncomfortable and how weird it is to see attractive male celebrities got sexualized and harassed on screen. Also, to add salt on the wounds, the audiences just laugh. Here, I am pinching the bridge of my nose because I've experienced it as a woman and how concerning it is that people take sexualization of men as jokes.

i do understand that it is very important for me to push myself during depressive episodes to actually do things still but bc of the timing it does mean that none of that energy is going to go into anything truly helpful bc the moment i am able to gather up the mental and physical strength i am going to be running to my dearest friend claude fe3h

No because with the starly timeline you have Crow and Felix being the main ship, then you have the ones i just mentioned, then evil justin x james
you have Cody and Ethan who are exes and then Louis and Justin, who despite being in Eds gang, Louis does have a wolfe pack arc in season 3
so if anyone were to ever ask edward the question of “Is there anyone in your gang who isn’t or hasn’t dated a current or former member of Wolfe’s group?” HE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SAY YES UNLESS REFERRING TO HIMSELF
"Unless referring to himself" i mean,, his options are still open,,,, (/j)

I'm having some kind of feelings about it being pointed out to us in-story more than once in S3 that Isaac spends the majority of his time working in his lab alone (which Lamarr seems to believe is just perfectly relatable hyperfocus but Claire gets a little worried that it's about the crew not liking him).
Add to that the scene in Tale Of Two Topas in which he expressed worry about Kelly's reputation if the crew assumed that his visit to her rooms means they are romantically/sexually involved (Isaac is no old fuddy-duddy who cares about being a "man" alone with a woman in her chambers. It's the 25th century ffs, he doesn't care about being appropriate, he once made a sex-position survey. This is about Kelly possibly being involved with a Kaylon. Sidenote: whoever said something nasty about Claire in Isaac's hearing, I like to think their synthesizer developed a "mysterious" glitch where there's a little poop in everything).
Add to those the scene later that same episode where he said he didn't do the surgery for Topa's sake. He did it to improve his standing with the crew... to improve their efficiency. Please mind how we never SAW that alleged decrease in efficiency even implicitly, but we've seen people being nice to him in public and people being openly suspicious of him in public, and how do we think those two groups get on, especially if he's in the room? Or the kids of those groups of people (just imagine what the Mom from that teacher-parent meeting would have to say about it)? It's a small ship.

Its interesting there is actually a video on youtube about the extent to which Bortus should be considered gay the video is by Jessie Gender if you are interested. Mark Jackson in an interview a while back was even talking about the show needing more direct LGBTQIA plus representation that not filtered through an alien metaphor.
Hard agree, anon, and I have seen the video before, funny you should mention it. That's partially why this is so complicated to maneuver through. The metaphor and allegory the Moclans provide is *literal* to increase understanding, but in turn can limit it to a box of "othering" individuals very quickly. This can be worked on.
In the meantime, though, I don't find it at all constructive to change the LGBTQA+ representation - metaphorical or otherwise - we *do* already have. Bortus has expressed romantic feelings for two different men, in the past or otherwise, and sexual attraction to several others (simulated); I don't see why that needs to be changed (And again, this has nothing to do with refuting bisexuality - that’s not what this is about), especially out of left field with no concrete or tangible lead up that suggests their relationship is anything beyond friendship and mutual command respect .
Either way, framing it in the way they did has unfortunate implications, regardless of whether we can truly consider Bortus to be gay representation or not.
