He recalled how Baam had carefully pried Khun’s fingers off his wrist to hold his hand instead. It had felt like time stood still as calluses rubbed against his nimble fingers in a soothing way he’d never experienced before and somehow Khun had felt safe. Baam had always somehow managed to make him feel safe.

In that moment, Khun had felt like the entire world had fallen away and that the only thing that had remained were the two of them. He remembered how the quiet hallway had helped his nerves begin to settle, but that he still couldn’t look at Baam. He didn’t entirely remember how he had mustered the courage to finally admit it, but he could never forget saying, “I love you,” barely above a whisper. He distinctly can still recall how those words had tasted on his lips for the first time and how he had tasted Baam’s shortly after.

Joseph was sat at the autograph table for the third time that day. As much as he loved meeting fans from different places around the world, he had to admit he was working on autopilot at this point.

His throat hurt, his head felt fuzzy, and the congestion he’d woken up with was starting to settle in an uncomfortable way.

He knew he was probably coming down with something. The congestion was a dead ringer - he didn’t usually get that with jet lag.

A giant hug from behind took him by surprise. A familiar chuckle informed him it was Jamie.

“Hello Joseph! How are you?”

The younger man stood up to return the hug, “I’m good, I’m good! Getting a bit tired of everyone telling me I look like shit.” He joked.

“You do look a bit knackered, mate.” Jamie teased, “Are you okay?”

“I’m fine. Might’ve caught a cold but it’s not bad, really.”

They’re talking quieter now so onlookers can’t hear them. Joe liked to keep his personal business private.

“Poor darling.” Jamie smirked, elbowing his friend playfully. “Are we hotel room neighbors? I’ll bring you some tea after we’re done here, yeah?”

“That sounds lovely.” Joe sighed, clearly more at ease now that Jamie had arrived.

The older man smiled, taking a minute to wave hello to the fans in Joseph’s line before disappearing behind the curtains.

“Thanks Jamie!” Joe called over his shoulder as he resumed autographs.

Told myself I was going to relax today and by god, did I follow through.

Stayed in bed till noon, sang in the semi public showers till 230, got some supplies, finally got tinder to get a fire started (bc for some reason, the wood I had wasn't catching).

Wrote a little bit of MNMR chap7 earlier, and I'll continue to do so in a bit, but man. This was really needed to just. Chill out for a day. Just a day.
