“eir is a deadbeat mom” ❌ eir chose not to be anyone’s mother, which was absolutely within her rights. she is, however, someone who makes most of her choices out of shame & regret and denies herself the pursuit of joy & excellence she was once motivated by and made hard sacrifices for. she’s unpracticed at vulnerability & doesn’t value herself much, which can make her hard to love 👍
“kas is a flake/makes her crisis of faith your problem” ❌ kasmeer is one of dw’s most doggedly consistent, bright, and cautious members. she stuck by the commander during her crisis of faith, which she mostly suffered through in private, and dealt with by weaving her own safety net of community & spiritual/heroic work outside the guild, so she wouldn’t burden you, even though she’s your dear friend of many years. she is, however, a total monarchist in anise’s pocket 👍

Playing through Path of Fire on an alt character and I am constantly reminded of how ridiculous the team you have for that expansion is. Canach, Rytlock, and Kasmeer. These people are not friends. At best they hang out in the same general circle. They're the ones in the friend group who sit in awkward silence at the table when the person who ties them all together leaves to get water.
But they're all here, and they do wind up with this weird sort of frenemies bond going on. Canach and Rytlock begin a rivalry over who can kill Forged the best. Rytlock won't stop grumbling about the gods, but he also won't kill the ghosts in Kormir's sanctuary because "then Kas will get mad at me." Nobody likes the Awakened illusions, and you know - you just know - that Kasmeer is making them worse on purpose just because people are making fun of her magic. And yet despite all that, they still bind together when things get tough... to pick on you for getting a little too into character as Archon Iberu, because apparently even literally dying doesn't make your Commander immune from teasing.
I don't think they become die-hard friends or anything, but I do think they have this weird shared experience that nobody else is privy to. They don't seek each other out, but leave them alone in a room together and they'll suddenly start complaining about sand sharks and calling Rytlock "Cuddles" and a million other in-jokes that nobody else understands. At some point Logan or Marjory or somebody walks in with a smoothie and stands in confused silence, wondering what in the actual hell they missed out on.

In roughly two weeks the next SotO story part drops, so here's a silly headcanon for what's going to happen:
The Command-finder is psyching themselves up to head over to Isgarren's ex Eparch's their wife's Peitha's home dimension to save World 2. You have a handful of fetch quests to get everything you'll need.
Then, only once you're basically ready to head through the interdimensional door, the Way-mmander gets a phone call.
Kasmeer: Hey! It's been awhile, been trying to reach you. Taimi called and said she finally got ahold of you the other day. Are you still able to make it to the wedding? It's tomorrow.
Peitha, the Wizards, literally everyone is around to overhear the Womminder's call.
Peitha: 👁️👄👁️ A wedding?
Isgarren: Time is not something that-
Peitha: I would despise to miss out on something so significant to... our Wayfinder.
It slowly dawns on everyone that Peitha is both the chauffeur and guide to get to Nayos, so until she's had her curiousity on Tyrian celebrations satisfied...
Guess who's the Cayfinander's demonic +1 to the wedding? :D

I've always imagined Faehrnem being extremely comfortable to lay on, and as his best friend it's Kas' duty to take advantage
