Yk in my deeply headcanon'd way, the fanon narrative that Doughy's grandpa took some care of him while alive makes sense but was negligent towards Kim or Karl a la Beforel Orel dynamics makes sense. By this I mean I imagine Kim/Karl being bitter about this dynamic and opting to make his grave "DOUGHY'S DEAD GRAMPA" in some lame font

Stephanie is swapped mostly with Kim Latchkey here, which I also talked about in this ask.

She is Doughy's mother figure since she married Karl Latchkey after Kim left a very young Doughy with him, she wanted no part of that anymore (eventually Kim opened a pseudo Hot Topic paralleling Stephanie's Buried Pleasures in the show). Stephanie is pretty deep in comphet and focused on Karl instead of Kim in high school as her crush (she really liked Kim but convinced herself otherwise) and by the time Kim left, all of this not being long after high school, she reached out to Karl. Karl was glad to have a woman around because he didn't know what to do with Doughy. Doughy appreciates her since Karl isn't a great father, but he's torn about his parental situation when he finds out his birth mother abandoned him (Stephanie probably has to break it to him).

ooc;; I have a very very unhinged headcanon / idea for Christina's childhood ( plus, love flushing out characters tht don't get a lot of screen time. It's free range to kinda make up my own ideas. ) lol

Christina is the bio daughter of Karl and Kim Latchkey. But she was given up, unlike Doughy. ( Which they find out later maybe in their teen / early adulthood tht her and Doughy r siblings. )

It was Ms. Censordoll who ended up taking Christina and giving her to be raised by nuns. It wasn't long before Art and Poppit adopt her, bc Art is sterile. ( Which adds to his strong dislike of Block / Poppit's hardcore neglect of Block. Since she didn't care tht he left the family. )

She was forced to dye her hair brown to match her new family and to cover her freckles with make-up. ( Which her parents always tell her is a sin / egotism. )

Orel is the first one to call her red hair / freckles beautiful n tht she doesn't need to hide them.
