So……
Finally we are actually getting some info and not skipping to someone else!
Tumblr media
I gotta say… I did not see that coming but I’m loving it!!! Some good old war tactics and not just charging in head first (coughLuffycough). Love it. It shows exactly how long this has been building up for! So far we have only speculated how good of a strategist Dragon was based on few little cues but to actually see the extent… I’m glad I was right! No offense to Luffy: it’s fun to see him punch people, but this is more my piece of cake. Also… KARMA IS COMING BACK BITCHES!!!
Tumblr media
Anything that can make Dragon make that face is a big no-no in my books… This is going to be fun: I can’t wait to see them all fight seriously!!! Also… is that Shanks? Or his evil twin maybe?
Tumblr media
LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!! Finally! Someone said it! People really need to take Dragon’s words here and tattoo them on their foreheads. We need more of him in the real world… I’m real glad we are getting some answers to the key questions we (o at least I) had on the revolution. Again, we always speculated and there were debates around but to have it put black on white is great!
Tumblr media
This opens a whole fucking gate on how different the revolution is from what Luffy is doing, for example. They are an army: they fight a war that is bigger than all of them and it needs sacrifices, it’s not all happy-go-lucky. Yes, they know there are bad and good kings. Yes, they are saddened if something happens to the good ones. BUT! They know the general public doesn’t and won’t understand that. They know that things are too complicated to be just black and white but that sometimes that’s all people can see. And they are not above getting their hands dirty if it’s what is needed. They all have a heavy weight on their consciences but they will gladly carry it if it means that the generations after them won’t have to. Sabo’s cold statement here and Dragon’s sarcastic comment just a second later make that very clear. Their hands are covered in blood already. And I adore that Oda is going with this more realistic version of a war and has not just decided to put together a bunch of idealists that are destined to fail. I love how it all works as a sort of balance to Luffy and the Strawhats. The revolutionaries are older, more seasoned realists and the Strawhats, while not exactly idealists either, are more dreamers and optimists. I know I’m generalizing but I think it gets the point across well enough. And I’m in love with all of this. Good job Oda!
Tumblr media
Yeah, I can see why that might look quite incriminating… I wasn’t so happy about the revolutionaries all just believing Sabo did it so easily if it was just a headline but I understand now that we know there was an actual picture. Like: boy, I raised you since you were a child, you are my most trusted and my second in command but wtf are you doing with a dead body in your living room?!?!?
Tumblr media
Happy to see them holding their grounds on a one on one. Sure, there were handicaps and all but still! That’s no small feat! It took like a fuckton of samurais plus a dragon to do that before and Morley is just here swinging that trident around!
Tumblr media
This is gonna be bad. This is going to be very, very bad. God, I hope we are sticking to this storyline and not cutting to someone else. I NEED ANSWERS ODA! NOW!
And now that I said it, next week we are going to see fucking everyone but this. You’re all welcome.
Love the Strawhats to pieces but I am realky enjoying these last chapters without them. Distance makes the heart grow fonder, right?

So That's Why they Think Buggy is a Yonko!
Okay, we all knew that there was no way that Buggy could talk Crocodile and Hawkeye Mihawk into working for him, right? We all saw that this was coming. But it's still hilarious. #OnePiece #OnePieceChapter1058 #OnepieceChapter1058

There's something from One Piece chapter 1109 I'm trying to make sense of.
Here's an image of one side of the OP world:
Tumblr media
The red section is a supercontinent called the Red Line and the horizontal line is an ocean called the Grand Line. Where they cross on this image is called Reverse Mountain. On the other side of the world, where those lines cross again is Mariejois, seat of the world Government.
The Grand Line is further divided into Paradise (The section between the East Blue and South Blue) and the New World (The section between the North and West Blues)
In the most recent chapter, we have several scenes from around the world and it's night in some places and day in others.
Of the daytime locations, we get Dressrosa (in the New World), Foosha Village (in the East Blue), and an unnamed location in the South Blue.
Of the nighttime locations, we get Mariejois, Water Seven (in Paradise), Kamabakka Queendom (in Paradise), and an unnamed location in the West Blue.
Finally, we have one unnamed location in the North Blue whose time of day is indeterminate because of a snowstorm.
Now if you compare the locations I gave with the above image, I'm having a hard time figuring out where the sun's position should be. If it is daytime in the East and South Blues, it should also be daytime in Paradise. And similarly, it should be nighttime in the New World.
I considered the possibility that it's daytime in only part of the areas as well and it might be able to add up. It would have to be late afternoon in Dressrosa and early morning in Foosha Village. So high noon on the planet is likely somewhere to the left of Reverse Mountain on that image.
Anyway, this all started cause I wanted to figure out if the planet rotates along the Grand Line. I'd love if a meteorologist or whoever is good at this kind of thing could chime in.

Realistically speaking. The most likely way Oda would probably do the Dragodile Divorce would be by having Dragon be like, a respectful ally who is just unfortunately straight and can't see himself dating a man. The way Oda has been treating Dragon so far in the story it's hard to imagine him going off a transphobic deep end to cause a divorce. Like I can't imagine Oda doing that, with Dragon specifically.
But I'd be lying if I didn't admit I'd find the more horrific way for that divorce to go down to be a far more interesting story option.
Because, weirdly, I think that would actually humanize Dragon a little more and simultaneously make Crocodile more a sympathetic character by extension.
Like, right now, while we haven't seen That Much of Dragon, the little we have seen has been building him up as A Great Man in the narrative. Someone who wants to help people, someone with strong ideals and willpower, someone who wants to lead the world to a better direction. A great leader with a big heart, who cares for his friends and for justice, Luffy inheriting a lot of these wonderful traits directly from his father. Oda has been hyping Dragon up for years within the story. And in my mind, all of this is making Dragon feel less human. Like, we know of The Man, The Myth, The Legend, but he doesn't feel "real". That image of Dragon Oda has built in my mind seems too perfect. And I think that does come down to the fact that we don't know that much about Dragon, more specifically, we don't know about any flaws he might have as a human being.
And I'm not saying making Dragon transphobic would make him a better character. My actual argument would be that if Dragon fucked up hardcore even just once in his life and did something horrible, that would counterbalance the overwhealming amount of positive traits he already has going for him.
Like Dragon did bring up the concept of "living without regrets" (when telling Kuma he could leave the RA to stay with his daughter); yes, this is a callback to how Ace and Luffy had made a promise to each another after they learned Sabo had died, but I do feel like in some ways, having Dragon mention that concept is also meant to show another similarity between Dragon and Luffy. Another thing Luffy inherited from his father, an ideal, a will. And I think it would be so much more meaningful if Dragon made that a goal in his life after gaining things he regretted. After making a mistake he could never take back.
And I dunno man, reacting piss poorly to finding out your wife is now your husband and breaking his heart in the process would be one easy way to end up with some Regrets™.
Yes, there is the counter argument to be made that Dragon surely could never be transphobic considdering he's specifically allied with Iva-chan and the Kamabakka Queendom. It is also worth noting how often people claim to be Okay With The Queers but only as long as The Queers are Over There, only to do a complete 180 and lash out the second someone in their own family comes out. Mind you, again, I'm not arguing for Dragon to be fully transphobic (although that would also be an option). Like maybe he had just a horrible kneejerk reaction or a slip of the tongue, one that he regretted immidiately after he realized what he had fucking done. (Hell, if Crocodile transitioned without warning and Dragon couldn't recognize him when reuniting, depending on the situation he could've even tried attacking Croc.) But it'd be too late, there'd be no fixing what he had broken. He'd be just stuck living with the consequences of the worst mistake of his life. (Also it's been almost 20 years in-universe. Even if Dragon had been fully transphobic, there's been plenty of time for him to do some soul searching and grow as a person, especially when surrounded by Iva-chan and co.)
Another thing is that... Look. If the Cis Heterosexual Dragon was Morally Pure and Never Did Anything Wrong In His Life, while the Gay Transgender Man Crocodile was ~evil~ and he was the one who had commited countless war crimes against people etc etc. Like. You get how that'd look. Especially when all the "good queers" in OP so far have been pre-transition, while Crocodile would be the first named character who has fully transitioned. 'Cause like. The mere act of transition is so often seen as morally deprived and corrupt, and yeah Crocodile is a cartoon villian. Just... having this one thing, one fucking time, where we can say for 100% sure that Crocodile wasn't the one in the wrong, and that it was the other party that did something horrible, would be kind of nice.
Also like. We don't know how the Dragodile Divorce went down and how Luffy ended up in Dragon's hands, like did Crocodile trans his gender before handing over the baby to Dragon or after. Almost regardless, but especially if he did transition before handing over the baby... Like... Crocodile is not stupid. He should have understood that Dragon fell in love with a woman, and thus his choise to transition could end their relationship. Yes, a younger Crocodile may have been a bit more naïve and trusting, but to me, it'd feel absurd if Crocodile didn't considder it at least a possibility. This man thinks everything through with utmost care, he comes up with backup plans for his backup plans. Surely he would have expected it.
So to me like
Croc thinks nothing will change -> Dragon politely breaks up -> Crocodile goes off to commit warcrimes
Would be like, the worst way things could go down. I would hate that chain of events, not gonna lie
Croc thinks nothing will change -> Dragon goes off the deepend -> Warcrimes
Croc assumes/knows things will change -> Dragon politely breaks up -> Warcrimes
Croc assumes/knows things will change -> Dragon goes off the deepend -> Warcrimes
^Would be all much more preferable options, for me at least, because the end result of the warcrimes won't seem like a result of Crocodile transitioning, it's not caused by him being a morally corrupt queer. At fucking most, in the first of those three scenarios you could blame Dragon for the warcrimes because he's the one who arguably broke Crocodile's psyche. But the other two? IDK it'd feel less like the warcrimes were a result of him throwing a fit over someone not wanting to date a trans person. Like the warcrimes came to be for completely separate reasons and have nothing to do with Dragon and getting rejected for being trans.
I dunno I'm probably not even making any sense at this point
The point is. If Crocodad Real and if there was indeed a Dragodile Divorce (only assuming because of Croc's ringfinger status) (Same for Dragon now that I think about it)
I think Dragon fucking up would make him more interesting as a character and Crocodile more symphathetic than if Dragon did everything perfectly.
That's it, that's the post, oyasumimir

Fluid as the Ocean - Chapter 1
Fandom: One Piece
Rating: Teen & Up
Relationships: Nami/Sanji, Zoro/Sanji, Ivankov & Sanji
Rows of shiny vials sit neatly in the velvet lining of the case, each filled with clear liquid and labeled with either a simple ♀ or ♂. Several syringes are tucked into their own compartment. This was Iva’s parting gift to Sanji before sending her on her way. A little fraction of Iva’s powers, sealed up in glass vials. A way for Sanji to return to her crew without completely leaving Kamabakka Queendom behind. Sanji returns from Momoiro Island with a completely new relationship to gender.
Read it on AO3
(I couldn’t stop thinking about how genderfluid Sanji could play out in canon, so I made a fic about it. Oda already put Sanji on Momoiro Island. It wouldn’t have been hard to take it one step further and let Sanji embrace the genderweird lifestyle.)

you know i really like sanji as a vehicle to explore different ideas of gender and how to overcome your own preconceived notions about what is and is not appropriate about treating other people
but i mostly saw this from other fanworks so far
so i like that they also adressed in the manga that he liked the people of kamabakka queendom and not only "suffered"

sending sanji to kamabakka queendom for the timeskip could have been such a genius move on oda's part for some much-needed character development regarding sanji's toxic views of gender and sexuality and it could have played out in some really cool ways like sanji gaining a more direct understanding of femininity and becoming less (unintentionally) sexist by no longer being such a hardass over gender roles and how femininity/masculinity "should" be performed and as a result his hangups regarding fighting women are much less of an issue later on. I DO think it's alright for him to still have like. hesitation and issues stemming from the fact that he was conditioned by zeff to be Like This and despite zeff evidently being old-fashioned its still a thing sanji feels regret doing because of how much he loves and respects his dad and doesn't want zeff to feel like he failed in raising him but also knows objectively at this point a lot of the things zeff did/taught him were. not right and it'd be interesting to see where to go from there
but instead sanji just becomes even more sexist and its just so disappointing even to like. the other crew members. granted even though the people on kamabukka island are unambiguously good-hearted and genuinely only trying to help sanji gain a better understanding of himself, they kind of ARE basically trying to crack an egg that might not be ready or not even be there, but i still think it was such a wasted opportunity bc i genuinely think this island was so perfect to send him to. we could have had it all

One Piece Chapter 1087
VOID MONTH IS FINALLY OVER COMRADES
Time to get back to the Reverie
Time to get back to the Kamabakka Queendom
Time to get back to Egghead Island
Time to get back to the Pirate Island!
Tumblr media
Hell yeah, Garp!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh no, Garp!
Tumblr media
OH FUCK, GARP!
Tumblr media
HOLY SHIT, GARP!!
Tumblr media
AND ITS AVALO PIZARRO WITH A STEEL CHAIR
Tumblr media
It was nice to see a brief Garp/Kuzan flashback, as well as a taste of just how absurdly powerful Garp is, even without Haki(!!!). I'm sure Garp could probably stop screwing around and blow Pizzaro's arm off, and he'll survive this arc just fine.
Right guys?
Right...?

If Sanji was ever written OOC or his characterization went to a wrong turn by Oda what would you have done?
Let's see… I think Whole Cake Island being about the origins of Sanji's kindness is incredibly bizarre. Has anyone ever wondered why Sanji is so nice? I certainly never did. He's not even the nicest in the crew! There's a lot of moments he's intentionally an arsehole and gets enjoyment out of it! If Oda's intention was to make Sanji the most kind hearted then he messed up. On Baratie we learn Sanji believes no one, not even the foulest person, deserves to starve. The reason being he experienced it himself, he knows how awful it feels. That's great! We don't need any more backstory to that. Meanwhile the biggest questions about Sanji, why he refuses to hit women and how he learnt about the All Blue, get a page? Sanji refuses to hit women because he's terrified of being disowned by Zeff, okay but now I'm wondering why Zeff is against hitting even evil women? All Blue, he read that in a book once (I'm so mad that's all we got!!!) It would've been so easy for his mother to be the inspiration for that dream! 😭 Something I would definitely change is Sanji's two years in the Kamabakka Queendom. You know, not make it an offensive joke. I have an idea of what I would've done but I think I've rambled long enough here. 😅

Bandai Namco has released a new set of character trailers for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 featuring Boa Hancock, Buggy, Dracule Mihawk, and Emporio Ivankov.
Here is an overview of each character, via the game’s official website:
Boa Hancock
One of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. Empress of “the Island of Women,” Amazon Lily, and captain of the Kuja Pirates AKA the “Pirate Empress”. A woman of indescribable beauty, she always looks down on and acts superior to others. She ate the Love-Love Fruit, and can turn those with impure hearts into stone. Having fallen for the wild and unpredictable Luffy, she uses her position as one of the Warlords to help him in various ways.
Action Type: Technique – Boa can perform long-range attacks using her Heart techniques, and short-range kick attacks, meaning distance doesn’t matter to her! Her unique skill is the ability to smash enemies she has petrified, dealing nasty levels of damage!
Buggy
One of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, also known as “The Genius Jester”, he leads an organization offering pirates for hire. When he was an apprentice pirate, he crewed the ship of Roger, the King of the Pirates, along with Shanks. When that history came out, after his escape from Impel Down, he used his cunning to expand his influence, quickly growing his legend into that of a mighty pirate. He is very sensitive about his nose.
Action Type: Technique – Buggy uses the power of the Chop-Chop Fruit to split off his hands as he moves around. He can use and airborne with his split-off hands to attack enemies, followed up with a series of and Chop-Chop Buzzsaw.
Dracule Mihawk
One of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, also known as “Hawk-Eye Mihawk.” The man who stands above all other swordsmen in the world. Capable of cutting even a massive ship in two with a single stroke of his sword. In the Grand Line, he destroyed the pirate armada of Krieg’s crew, all 50 ships, single-handedly. He says that his reason for doing so was to “pass the time,” showing how difficult it is to read his personality.
Action Type: Power – Mihawk wields a black-bladed sword. He can use to execute continuous, non-stop attacks. As he continues to attack, his sword will begin to glow and there will an opportunity to wipe out the enemy with a powerful attack.
Emporio Ivankov
A key leader of the Revolutionary Army and queen of the Kamabakka Queendom on Peachy Island. Also known as “Iva.” From his history of saving many countries and people, he is also known as the “Miracle Person.” A power user who ate the Horm-Horm Fruit, he can control people’s hormones and alter them from the inside. He is also a master of New Kama Karate.
Action Type: Technique – Ivankov is a power user of the Horm-Horm Fruit. He bloats his face to enormous proportions using Emporio Face Growth Synthesis to temporarily power up his Death Wink technique.
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch on March 26 in Japan, and for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC on March 27 in the Americas and Europe. Read more about the game here.
