I cant remember if it was you who said handong is your bias, but if so I was wondering what sort of pulls you to her? I don’t mean this in a weird, baity way, I genuinely just love hearing people gush about their favs ❤️ I started getting into dreamcatcher while she was working in China and I still feel like I need to sort of “catch up/spend more time” with her if that makes sense. I’ve loved every second that she’s been back and cant wait to see more of her. She makes me feel very soft and warm 💞💞

she is! although honestly atm I feel pretty much the same way about everyone like I used to before she went to china askdjh as in, the difference is not that big between them even tho I'm aware (now) that I do have a bias. but to answer your question:

honestly she's just super funny, even when she was struggling with a language barrier (specially more felt during 2017-2018), she would still make super funny remarks asdkjh and even more now that she's more comfortable with the language. and that's something I really admire about her too, I always find it super impressive when people manage to adapt quite fast to another language and culture, all the while I really admire that she still stays true to the things she likes yk like she'll keep eating the foods that are familiar to her even when she can't really share them with the members since they don't like it as she does (maybe because to me food is something that I always try to share with who I'm spending time with so it's hard for me to be like: I'll buy this for me askjh even when I was at uni I would often make meals together with my flatmates and stuff, I just like sharing food with other people and it always feels better to me that way so I always feel like if I was in her shoes I would end up feeling quite lonely but anyway!), on top of that knowing that she went ahead to become an idol against her father's wishes really left a big impression on me.. knowing she went through all the process of becoming a dc member away from her family in general has always left me with a lot of admiration for her. also this can go for any dc member I feel, but she also really has such a comforting presence? I think you can tell from how the other members act around her, it just all feels right when she's around. also it's been incredible to see her growth these past few years, seeing her confidence grow in real time was something that also affected me in a pretty positive way bc it felt like my own confidence was growing along and it was really nice to experience that (this goes also for dami and gahyeon tbh). but honestly her presence in person too!............ if she's in front of you you really won't be able to pay attention to anything else, my dumbass couldn't mutter anything the first time I met her and I just stared at her having a gay panic attack :') but at least I got to compensate for that and go to hear her calling me cute in person in 2019 while she had the cutest smile on her face so that was an achievement unlocked I'd say 😍

but yeah I just think that she's really funny and caring and smart and it just seems like she's trying to live her best life while staying true to herself and I just appreciate that

He's ridiculously happy but he looks like an idiot and Bato just spends the whole time making sure he doesn't get hypothermia and internally going "really? This guy? This is the one Sokka looks up to?"

Hakoda initially did not learn from his son's mistakes when meeting the Kiyoshi Warriors. Bato looked at them and decided that anyone willing to fight in a dress had his undying respect.

Anyone who messes with Hakoda will be met with Bato, looming, giving them that cool, measured 'I'm going to kill you for this when you least expect me to' expression, from over Hakoda's shoulder so his husband doesn't worry.

Hakoda, the giant nerd, lets Zuko talk his ear off about dragons as much as he likes. Bato will never admit to listening in, if only to see the young Firelord smiling.

Appa loves Bato. Bato has problems with this.

Bato and Aang discuss philosophy. Like, deep 'whats your take on death' type stuff, and both of them find it... Rather refreshing.

Toph likes Bato just as much as she likes Hakoda, even though Hakoda is the one who all-but-legally adopted her. The tall man never tells them they can't do something because they're 'just children', even though Toph can feel his heartbeat go a mile a minute whenever one of them is in danger.

Momo also likes Bato. Bato has a problem with this as well.

Bato absolutely lets Wolf!Sokka curl up on his lap and the same goes for Dragon!Zuko.

I love that DC “pranking” each other is the sweetest thing ever like “hehe I’m gonna make you think I have this mask stuck to my face but haha, it’s not!
