"were here were queer" saying has lost all radical meaning behind it. like. it was a cool thing to say back when cishet people thought of it as a slur they shouldnt say, but now its been so watered down that i get to see the q slur at walmart. evidently this is what the queers want though. happy to completely separate myself from that category at least. So, this just hit me. Bear with me, please. We all know that Steve took Nancy's virginity, right? Right. It was kind of a huge thing. Anyways, I'm here to argue some things, starting with that Nancy and Jonathan wouldn't have gotten together if not for Steve, since if Steve hadn't had Nancy and Barb over Jonathan wouldn't have photographed Barb and he and Nancy wouldn't have teamed up and bonded. It also pretty much guaranteed that Nancy took Jonathan's virginity. Because, and I love Jonathan, but he's a loser-loner who definitely wasn't getting any before Nancy. It's also due to Steve that Nancy and Robin met. If we head into headcanon territory, Nancy is definitely also Robin's first - small-town lesbians got it hard 😔. And if we add Steddie to it! Then, depending on your headcanon, Steve could very well be Eddie's first. I know some like to think Eddie has had previous hookups either in or outside of Hawkins, but I'm not among them - in my mind, he's untouched and so pent-up with sexual frustration he's vibrating worse than a chihuahua on washing machine. No, I haven't forgotten the handkerchief, but it's fully possible to figure out what you like without a partner. So, my conclusion is thusly: Steve is, in one way or another, the reason all of these characters lost their v-cards. All hail the king, God bless and amen etc. etc.

(I didn't include Argyle because he absolutely fucked before meeting Jonathan. And that is a FACT.)

I like the idea of Zukka’s concept, but I could easily be turned off by it by its fandom. Namely because of their treatment of both Mai and Suki (neither of those girls can catch a break). It can be paralleled to why zeeks hate Aang, and why I’m so adverse to the idea of z/tar/a.

Unlike z/tar/a though, I can actually see the potential between Zuko and Sokka.

So yeah, I like the idea of the ship, but I’m side-eyeing the fuck out of you if you talk shit about either Mai or Suki.

forgottenflickr makes me really uncomfortable. flickr was not used the same as tumblr, where you upload everything for a general audience. many people used flickr just to host images for family & friends. there were privacy features like password protection or requiring a specific link to view an image, but if you didn't have an account that was likely to be found (like if you didn't use tags or groups, making your photos unlikely to be discovered), you were unlikely to bother figuring out the privacy stuff. sharing old pictures without consent, even if they're of nothing sensitive, just feels like an invasion of privacy to me.

ok conversations about intellectual property theft aside, i feel like nintendo should see that part of palworlds popularity is almost certainly due to how lackluster every pokemon game has been in the past like 5 years. like palworld wouldnt have been a literal overnight hit if pokemon was still making advancements and producing anything in the way of satisfying gameplay. dont get me wrong-- pokemon with guns wouldve gotten attention no matter what but not if the latest pokemon game had been good and playable in the long term

if people are going to define gender identity as they do then I don’t really care even if I don’t fully get it (I care about some of the consequences though obviously) but my biggest issue is how gender as a sociological concept has become almost completely unknown to people and has been for some time (it being used as an alternative for sex helped do this too).

gender as a hierarchical system helps explain so many things and we can trace its development in different regions through time. you can’t talk about homophobia or transphobia without talking about a system of gender used to promote heterosexual roles and reproduction. none of these people would be ‘traitors’ of any sort if gender didn’t exist, it’s a suuuper important topic and it’s so sad people see it as too ideological or academic or opposed to this or that to understand. tragic )):

My thoughts on all the Precure seasons:

Futari wa Pretty Cure: 10/10 best characters, best dynamic, weighty gritty feel without being too dark which is my absolute fave, inverting the usual character tropes hard with both Nagisa and Honoka, my two favorite characters in literally anything, THE ACTION!!!!!!!, THE ANIMATION BY TETSUO YAMADA!!!!!, best most banger opening theme song, etc etc I could go on

Max Heart: not quite as good but NagiHono alone makes it a 9/10

Splash Star: good story and villains. I could not get invested in Saki or Mai at all though sorry. NagiHono was bending character tropes but Splash Star played it way safer

Yes 5: I really don't remember much

Yes 5 Go Go: Karen/Kurumi good ship. Milky Rose incredible character. Syrup my bird son. But I don't remember the rest lmao

Fresh: oh this was my first season! Great story, incredible middle arc, Setsuna my beloved

Heartcatch: mostly solid start but I didn't care for the fairies or like the entire second half of the season LMAO

Suite: For a season I never actually talk about I thought it was pretty good

Smile: BIG FAVE I LOVE ALL THE CHARACTERS AND THE OUTFIT DESIGNS. would be my favorite if FuWa didn't exist

Doki Doki: Rikka and Makopi, and like three genuinely funny episodes, are the only reason I survived this season intact

Happiness Charge: dropped LMAO

Go Princess: Didn't watch, no reason just haven't gotten to it

Mahou Tsukai: I love Mofurun so much. Very gay but it's no NagiHono IMO. Weirdly paced story but overall I liked it

Kira Kira: EXTREMELY fucking gay and I liked it. In this house we stan Cure Custard

Hugtto: I only watched the NagiHono episodes sorry

Star Twinkle: OH I LOVED IT. Genuinely good AND ACCURATE biracial rep. HikaLala 10/10 ship.

Tropical Rouge: I genuinely loved it, Kururun is incredible and they really did have this Legendary Precure/Huge Fucking Sea Monster gay subplot
