He’s sweating slightly, but it’s a somewhat windy day, helping to cool him down just a little.

Either way, it’s not like he has time to worry about how sweaty he is when he’s so late to the exam.

In the split second he took to check his phone, he slams so hard into a force that he stumbles back, wind knocked out of him. His phone, likewise, is also flung out of his hand on impact, crashing to the ground with a disheartening <i>crack</i>.

He grunts as he manages to keep himself balanced, half-offended. Marius isn’t one to get angry too easily, but he’ll admit that he’s a little warm with bottled-up frustration.

He finds a girl on the ground, notebooks and papers scattered around her, sitting in shock like she hasn’t processed what just happened.

Tooru’s tired.

He’s expressed this multiple times in the car ride, but his friends just turned the radio up louder. Bokuto’s cheering is drowning out all of Tooru’s complaints, anyway.

A nice night alone, watching a documentary on the Bermuda Triangle. That was Tooru’s plans for the night after a long, rough day of practice.

Instead, he’s being driven to a noisy, bright bar to reluctantly participate in some silly mixer that Mattsun and Bokuto keep insisting on. Tooru told them at least ten times that he wasn’t really in the mood for socializing today, but they goaded him on incessantly.

“You’re super handsome, so we’ll all look alright next to you!” they told him, “You’ll end up having fun anyway!”, “You can watch your alien shows anytime!”, “We already have it planned, the other three will be waiting for us!”, “We just want you to have some fun and meet some people!” The list of excuses goes on.
