Ok I’m going to be honest - I don’t read a lot of Nora-centric fics (a crime, I know but I’m consumed by firstprince) BUT I did do some hunting for you and unsurprisingly a lot of it is Norabug fics. 

Hope you find something you like below! Did I go overboard .. maybe? Just a disclaimer - I’ve skimmed some of the fics but haven’t read them in full so do with that as you will :)

My entry for Theeesgiving- which might not fit the assignment, but I couldn't get this forgotten moment out of my head!

This is a situation June never thought she'd find herself in.

Yet here she is: her best friend she's had a secret crush on for years that she's kept locked away in her heart and the guy who's had a thing for her ever since his best friend's brother's wedding together in one room for the night… and there's only one bed. Sure, there's a couch, but those are never comfortable, and she has no idea which of the two would take it. 

She must look like the deer in headlights that she is, because Pez says softly, “Don't worry. We're not going to make you choose.”

“What?” she asks, startled.

Nora gives her a long, loaded look. “We've decided that we're not going to fight over you. Whatever you decide is what's going to happen. Neither one of us is going to get to get you to do or say anything you feel pressured into.”

She felt like she had Alex’s chaotic brain in that moment. Nothing was making sense. “Nora, I- how did you know?”

To her credit, Nora didn't laugh. “I'm your best friend. It wasn't hard to figure out.”

“But what about-”

“Shhh,” Nora hushes her with a finger to her lips. “Don't worry about anything and just feel.”

That's when she finds Nora’s lips on hers. It sets a fire in her, one that she now knows she never wants to put out. 

When they finally part, hair a little disheveled from roaming fingers and breathless from the length of the kiss, June looks over at Pez, who has a conniving grin on his face. She's not sure when the two of them planned this, can't even imagine the awkwardness of that conversation. “But what about-”

He kisses her cheek, then looks between them. “Never fear, love. That bed is big enough for you two to do some canoodling and for me to get a decent night's sleep all at the same time.”

She just stares for a second. How did she get so lucky?

Then she turns her attention to Nora, their lips meeting, hands finding their way to places they've never been before. 

When she wakes in the morning, despite his promise before they fell asleep that he wouldn't touch her and would be a gentleman, she has Pez’s arm wrapped around her on one side and is wrapped in Nora's embrace from behind. She's never felt so safe and loved in her entire life. 

Maybe she can love her best friend and not have everything fall apart, after all.

before i say this, i need to explain i was a child with a very early access to internet. also, i am, as a great mind said once, a pathological people pleaser, and my sister was a directioner,,,,,,,,, so yes ofc i wrote a fanfic about harry styles for my sister, even though i never published it, and it was just a dumb y/n story,,,,,,,, (this was like 2012). though, since harry styles is a real person and not a character like my 9yo self thought, then i assume the next one would be,,,,, damon salvatore (it was posted on wattpad and absolutely horrible, i had an hyperfixation and created an oc and everything)

i am working on SO many wips rn bc ive been sick and that has meant being in bed and not doing shit most of the day bc it hurts to breathe sjsksjsksjsksjskssjsksjkssjsksjsjsjajkssj

here, i give yall a snippet of the musician!alex au yall saw on the wip title game (that can be alternatively called "fulfilling most of smut saturday prompts in one single fic bc i wanted to try writing smut and it quickly got out of my hands")

so, idk if this would be nsfw bc it is not the smut itself, but more like smut-adjacent narration, but still putting the break so y'all can decide if you want to read it or not

This exact moment, though? It might not only embarrass him in a very public setting, but might also make him combust and collapse from sheer lust.

The entire place is crowded to the point of asphyxiation, the fans are spinning at their limit speed on the ceiling, and Henry feels like this is probably how hell feels.

That is, if hell ever had the pleasure of getting Alexander Claremont-Díaz on his knees, making the most obscene and erotic guitar solo known to mankind, thrusting his hips to the rhythm of She by Harry Styles on his guitar while the lights focus on him; his open white shirt shows the chain he now knows contains the key to his family's home at Texas, his glistening chest and the sweat that rolls over his collarbones, his pectorals, his abdomen and then disappear on his navel behind the guitar. It makes Henry reminisce of that first video he ever saw of Alex, and can’t help but compare the performance to seeing it live after more than a year, while knowing how excited he had been at the rehearsal, jumping and moving around while refusing to practice because of his own jitters.

Of course it paid off, Alex, the bloody show-off, has the entire place entranced under his spell, not even the clients sitting on the bar stools, who had shown little interest in the performance through the night, could take their eyes off of Alex.

Henry absolutely gets it, but can't help the feeling of jealousy that courses through him. He desperately wants to drop to his knees to show Alex how marvelous he is, hoping he thrusts in his mouth like he does on his guitar.

Prompt: #8 from the lighthearted prompts “You’ve been watering a fake plant for how long?” requested by @hschill5

A/N: You know when you have a vague idea for something and then it somehow just runs away with you and turns into something else that you really didn’t plan but really kinda love? Yeah that’s what happened here. btw, we’re ignoring timeline one way or another because I wanted the plant joke this started as to work with the idea I eventually ended up with.

"Oh my God, the lag," Nora groaned as the image of Pez on June's laptop froze again. "Can everyone get off the internet so we can use it?"

"We're not the only ones stuck in a long distance relationship during this quarantine y'know, Nora," June replied.

"I know, but come on. We're in the White House, shouldn't everything here get priority?"

"She has a point," Pez agreed. At least the voice connection was still working. "This call could be something important."

"It is something important," Nora argued.

"I think he meant like a matter of national security, babe," June chuckled

"Yes, but the country is already in crisis mode, our relationship doesn't have to be. We deserve the bandwidth." She flopped down on her back and started checking through the news updates while they all waited for Skype to start working properly again.

"Is that a kid?" June asked a few moments later and Nora propped herself back up to have a look herself. The image on screen had at last unfrozen and there was indeed a small child crawling into Pez's lap. She raised an eyebrow but returned to her browsing a moment later.

"Yeah, I'm looking after her for my cousin."

"Alone?"

"Yeah."

"I can't believe someone left you in charge of a child."

"And why not?" Pez asked in mock offence, his tone and expression almost entirely ruined by the little girl currently playing with his face. "I'm very capable."

"Honey, please believe me when I say I mean this in the nicest possible way, but I wouldn't trust you to take care of Alex for a day, let alone a child."

"Alex is a child," Nora quickly pointed out but June waved her off.

"I kept that plant you gave me alive for two years, I can keep a kid alive for a few hours." He gently pulled the little hands from his face and situated the girl more comfortably in his lap, reaching off to the side and grabbing a toy to keep her busy. 

"Those two things do not equate," Nora muttered distractedly.

"The plant we got you?" June asked.

"Yeah, the pretty purple one you got as an apartment warming gift."

"Yeah, that wasn't you keeping it alive." She bit down on her lip, trying to keep from laughing.

"Of course it was. I watered it myself every day." He’d looked away, down at the child as she whined at him to play with her, and didn’t notice June’s predicament as he gave in to the whims of the little girl.

"It's a fake plant, Pez." He froze.

"..."

"You've been watering a fake plant."

"...I was wondering why it bloomed year round." June finally couldn’t hold it anymore and burst out laughing. That caught Nora’s attention enough to put her phone away and fully refocus on their conversation.

“Wait, what happened?” she asked, swivelling around on the bed so she was lying on her stomach and able to see the laptop screen.

“Pez has been taking care of that plant we got him,” June explained through chuckles.

“I thought it wasn’t a real one.”

“It wasn’t.” 

“So you’ve been watering a fake plant for how long exactly?”

“...”

“Two years,” June replied for him. Nora’s lips twitched as she tried to repress her laughter at Pez’s moment - or years, she supposed - of dumbassery. 

“Go ahead, laugh at the idiot,” Pez sighed. “But that aside, I’m still a perfectly capable babysitter.”

“Uh huh.” Nora didn’t sound entirely like she believed that. “Well you haven’t burned down the house and she’s not crying so I guess you’re doing something right at least.”

“See. I told you.” A minute of no attention was apparently too much for the child and just as he was trying to convince the girls of his capabilities, she threw a soft toy at his face and whined loudly. “Okay, Asha, sorry Auntie Pez isn’t giving you enough attention.” He picked up the toy and started playing with her.

June and Nora were left cooing and awh-ing at the sight before them as Pez attempted to keep Asha entertained and continue their conversation. They were both proven very wrong in their accusations that Pez would be a bad babysitter after only a few minutes. He was a natural with her and she seemed to be having a brilliant time in his care but eventually started growing tired.

“I better put her down for a nap,” Pez said as she flopped against him, yawning widely. “I think she’s getting a little bit tired.”

“Yeah, sure looks that way,” June said with a fond smile at the pair of them. “Go take care of her and call us back later.”

“Will do.” He turned back to the girl in his arms. “Okay miss, let’s get you to bed. Say bye to June and Nora.” Asha offered a sleepy wave as she blinked at the camera and June and Nora just about melted.

“Bye Asha.” They waved with big smiles as she turned back to snuggle into Pez’s chest. He shifted to support her with one arm, the other moving to blow the girls a quick kiss.

“Love you two, talk later.”

“Love you too,” both girls replied, blowing their own kisses and ending the call.

“Okay, please tell me I’m not the only one who found Pez with a kid far too adorable,” June said as she closed the laptop and laid back on the bed, pulling Nora along with her.

“You weren’t the only one,” Nora quickly assured her and shuffled around to get more comfortable next to her girlfriend, both of them pulling out their phones to do various tasks in a comfortable quiet. A few minutes later both their phones chimed with a Snapchat notification from Pez. They opened it to find an adorable picture of Pez laying somewhere, Asha snuggled comfortably on top of him, sound asleep.

“How did it get cuter?” June halfheartedly complained.

“I don’t know, but I think we might have been wrong about his ability to take care of a child.” The implication of that was left hanging for a while, neither of them entirely sure what to make of the day’s revelation or their thoughts on it. It was something to consider though and something to discuss, just, maybe another day. Perhaps someday he wouldn’t be just Auntie Pez anymore.

35. “About the baby… Its yours.”

106. “Do you believe in aliens?”

107. “Do you believe in ghosts?”

The campfire crackles, and Alex moves the flashlight under his chin, trying to find the perfect angle to throw spooky shadows over his face without making it hard to see the others’ faces.

“And Henry... About the baby... it’s yours.” With that, he pulls up his hoodie, and David wriggles out as Alex screams dramatically and Henry laughs, calling David into his lap. The others groan, and Alex passes the flashlight to Nora for her scary story. Upon discovery of the fact that the royals and Pez have never actually gone camping, they’ve taken a weekend to visit Nora’s parents’ cabin, but on their and Nora’s assistance, have set up tents in the back yard for the “full camping experience”. They’ve roasted marshmallows, and Alex has kissed the chocolatey marshmallow bits off Henry’s face. Pez had tried to make a quadruple layer s’more and failed spectacularly, but he’d failed entertainingly, which is perhaps more important. Nora’d been more than willing to help him try again, and they had while June went to get wet paper towels to clean up, and between the two of them they’d had a massive s’more to shove in her face when she got back. Bea, ever the innovator and trendsetter, substituted curly whirlys for her chocolate, and they’d all filled up before settling around the fire to tell scary stories for the tradition.

Nora’s telling a story, something that must be appropriately scary and funny, but Alex is more interested in cuddling up next to Henry, David between them. Eventually, the fire dies down and the others turn in, June warning Alex that if she can hear him and Henry that night she’ll personally put a rock under his sleeping bag and Pez laughing as he tugs his partners into their tent. Bea turns in on her own, telling them she’ll see them in the morning and leaving them to find a nice space to lie down and look at the stars. Henry points out constellations, noting which ones are planets, not stars.

“Think there’s anyone else out there?” Alex asks, staring out at the sky.

“I think there must be. What about you? Do you believe in aliens?”

“I think so. Not like the movies, but somewhere. Space is so big.”

Henry hums in agreement, then adds, “and ever expanding. We keep learning more. They found something that might be life on one of Saturn’s moons.”

“What about ghosts? Do you believe in ghosts?” Alex asks, and Henry shakes his head.

“Not really. I think if they were real, we’d hear a lot more about them, or at least more consistently. You?”

“I don’t want to, but then something happens and I’m fully convinced. I think it’s the Catholic background-- they tell you there are spirits everywhere and that’s hard to shake.”

Henry laughs, moving his head closer to Alex’s. Alex runs his fingers through Henry’s hair, and David, lying between them, lets out a snort that makes Henry laugh again.

“This is nice,” Henry says after a bit. “Just... all of us together, hanging out. I missed it.”

“Me, too. And it’s nice to not have anything we’re supposed to do. I mean, camping and hiking and things, but nothing work wise. It’s nice having Bea and Pez here for a vacation, not a work event or anything.” He’s rambling now, and Henry leans over to kiss his cheek.

“Ready for bed?” he asks, and Alex is about to agree when there’s a shooting star. He gasps, looking to see if Henry saw it, then another shoots above them.

“The Perseids,” Henry says, reverently. “It’s a meteor shower. I had no idea we’d be able to see them.”

Alex shakes his head a bit, cuddling closer to Henry. “Think we should get the others?”

“They should be out tomorrow, too,” Henry says. “Meteor showers are like that.”

So Alex smiles, cuddling in next to his boyfriend with their dog between them, kissing Henry’s cheek and watching the meteors shower.
