His rich scent—spice rum and oak maybe? Surround her, as he places two fingers underneath her chin and raises her head to meet his gaze. Piercing ink-blue eyes stare into hers.
A warmth spreads on her skin.
He licks his lips. Senusal, it pulls at her gut. “It’s a maze until someone reaches out, then you're found.”

Bonnie finds herself entangled with a man, she knows she won’t survive.

Stefonnie deleted scene
I’ll never get over the deleted Bonnie and Stefan scenes from season 1 episode 11. This was such a sweet moment that really highlighted Bonnie emotions about her new reality. For some reason some Stan’s act as if they can’t read between the lines with certain characters in certain situations in regard to their feelings and Bonnie’s the main example of that. The show never gave Bonnie a moment to truly express her feelings in most situations in a vulnerable way but THIS WAS THIS WAS THEIR MOMENT!!!
This scene was their moment to give insight to Bonnie’s inner emotions that she hid Instead of giving her the “I’ll be strong” attitude that was so single noted. Although I don’t think this scene would of changed a lot of fans feelings towards Bonnie’s since she was still on guard and judgment to vampires/their faves it still would of been nice to see a more vulnerable side to Bonnie to add more depth to her character. Bonnie wasn’t just scared of vampires she was scared of being a witch and it’s not bc she hated it all it’s because she needed time to understand what was going on around her.
I DONT KNOW WHY STANS ACT LIKE THATS AN ABNORMAL FEELING TO HAVE (besides the obvious her hating on their faves).
Side note: this was such a good Stefonnie scene as well and I hate that the writers ruined the potential friendship that could have been them.
This Scene:

I just saw a D*mon stan say that Zach's death is "on Stefan" because he left Zach with D*mon to go see Elena.
This is what I mean about a lot of D*mon stans. They can't accept the fact that D*mon has shown repeatedly that he is not a good person, and that every thing that D*mon has done is because of himself. So they recontextualize and jump through hoops to stop from holding D*mon accountable for his own actions. Hell, D*mon even told Stefan in Season 1 to stop blaming himself for everything D*mon does.

It's RIGHT THERE on the show.

I mean its a little bit that the most powerful witches were the White ones. It's very much related to how the Original Vampires were all White and went so far as to seed fake lore and myths around the world in other cultures to hide it. That just made these lame ass family ridiculously important. Its a really gross Eurocentric view of history
You're not wrong in any regard.
I probably could have worded my response to that ask a little better, but as someone who is a big fan of witches and magic users within this genre, I like all the characters that get to utilize their craft. And it's, like you said, very Eurocentric when it comes to everything supernatural related on that show.
The fact that the Originals were presented in place of the Old Ones from the books, who dated back the Bronze Age or even earlier, but now are a barely 1000 years old Viking Family. It's the fact that before that backstory was given we had the Aztec and Roman references to the Sun & Moon Curse, only to have it be an elaborate prank by the Mikaelsons so that Klaus could feel more like a man.
To circle back the witch aspect because I feel like I'm rambling, I stand by what I said before. I don't dislike characters like Davina or Liz and Luke Parker for their ability to be incredibly powerful witches. Given how overpowered even the weakest vampire on this show is, it's nice to see witches (and werewolves) flex their power to even the playing field, even if only briefly.
When it comes to Bonnie, she was allowed to he powerful, but then was IMMEDIATELY humbled afterward so as not to upstage the white characters. I would argue that Bonnie was actually the most powerful witch we had in this universe (though admittedly, I never watched any of Legacies so I don't know about the Tribrid - god I hate that word). And obviously, yes, this was because of the racism of the showrunners and the writers, whether intentional or not, but it still burns all these years later.
Ultimately, this all comes down to Plec & Co. watering down the source material so that they could make it more palatable for people who were just tuning in for the love triangle and relationship drama, a staple of The CW. And I'm not saying that like the books were these literary masterpieces, because they weren't, but st least thought had gone into those, whereas the show was just "how do we make this the most simple version we possibly can so that we can get back to the drama?"

Yknow, Bonnie being the anchor really should have been her superpower. Being a corporeal ghost is OP as fuck, actually. Already dead, so completely immune to any form of harm. No need to eat, or sleep, or do anything she doesn’t want to do. Also? She should have been able to fucking teleport. Ghosts can materialize wherever they want. Also, she’s dead. Meaning she should have been able to cast spells without limits. Season 5 could have been her season. Instead, it was just more torture porn for the Bennett witch, big fucking surprise

does anyone else cry over the fact that Klaus never got to take his daughter trick or treating and all the other million things he never got to do with her while she was growing up and will never get to do with her?

Hi! Could you make a post of some headcannons on what alcohol the mikaelson siblings prefer to drink, and what they'd order at a bar if they weren't drinking for whatever reason - especially Elijah? we know damon drinks bourbon but i don't think anything is canon ab the mikaelsons and i was thinking ab that but i don't know anything ab alcoholic drinks and the culture around it lol bc no one really drinks in my part of the world so I'd appreciate it!
I,,, don't think I've ever done anything like this, but I can tell you what we've seen them drinking.
Freya went through a phase in which she regularly went out to bar parties after the Dahlia fiasco was done. She didn't have any favorites in particular but we do see her being very enthusiastic about Tequila. I believe she's also enjoyed her fair share of wine.
Finn, canonically, has only tried wine and tequila. I don't see him being much of a drinker, to be real with you.
Elijah has drank everything ranging from bourbon, to wine, to whiskey. If you ask me, he's a scotch kind of guy, but I don't think there's any canon basis to that. It's just me. I can also see him liking single malt whiskey in specific.
Klaus, I'm convinced he's tried every type of drink at least once. He seems, though, to most often have bourbon as well. I'm starting to think they just did not want to have to come up with that many different drinks. I will say that in my own personal opinion, Klaus would prefer stronger drinks, out of his entire family.
Kol doesn't seem like a big drinker to me. Like, he does, but only on occasions. Not casually. Wine type of guy when he has it. If offered, he'll accept other drinks, but meh.
Rebekah's a borderline alcoholic the way they have her drink but champagne and bourbon is the way to her heart, unfortunately.

The Vampire Academy promotion sucks more than anything.
No offense but we are 15 days away from the premiere of Vampire Academy and their promotion in media and/or social media is.... bad to put it nicely.
BTS photos of actors doesn’t really mean promotion. Just as thirst traps doesn’t mean promotions (Kieron is hot, yes, we can’t deny it, but why should someone who never met him or Dimitri, watch the show just because there’s a hot guy in it? It’s the same thing as promoting a show by putting out pictures of the very hot actress!!).
A post about a love triangle between Rose, Dimitri and Adrian doesn’t mean promotion when 1. Adrian is not even in half the show, 2. the “love triangle” should come in much later and 3. people who never read the books have NO IDEA who Adrian is.
Their goal should be attracting new viewers and possible fans. They already have the old fandom (which is more or less divided by the bad decisions they took) who will watch the show but do you not want to appeal to a new range of viewers that might or might not contribue to the next phases of the show?
Especially since they don’t have Netflix/Disney+/HBO behind to help make the show bigger.
Make promo videos to introduce the people into the story, release interviews with the actors, post promo pictures, stills, character posters, posters of any kind. Promote the show (as something other than Bridgerton wanna be).
Having Julie Plec as producer/director doesn’t mean shit to people, there are people who won’t watch it BECAUSE it’s Julie Plec. The actors aren’t big names to count of self promotion purely based on their names, as you see in other shows and/or movies. You can’t even count on fans to promote it for you and apply the Spider Man: No Way Home method and not promote anything because the fans will.
So yes, in conclusion their promotion sucks and they need to do better.

idgaf i guess i’m a hypocrit bcos i HATE damon but i love klaus. “but klaus compelled cami.” yeah but did he fuck her? LMAO NO. i genuinely don’t think he slept with women after he compelled them. i’m going to be so honest and i’m not being biased bcos i love him but i do think sexually consent is a big thing to him. elijah is a feminist and a gentleman so we know he definitely didn’t do that to women & i’m sure he taught klaus abt that shit. but anyways yeah i don’t think klaus has done that shit to women (in my opinion). kol definitely has, he has womanizer and sexism written all over him
i think they have done different levels of Irresponsible things. but comparing damon to klaus is laughable. this man killed Jeremy twice i believe and still ended up with elena with a child. He hasn’t ever had a single consequence for his action and it was mainly due to julie’s favoritism.
That’s why I liked Klaus because I know julie didn’t write him to
Ian said “This guy could literally — I’m saying this as an analogy because it’s so terrible — he could walk into an orphanage and kill 100 kids and somehow the audience would forgive him and love him like, ‘Oh well you know he’s having a really bad day, Elena and he are fighting.’ It’s crazy what this guy gets away with and it’s not fair.”
