ASRA

They love when you take initiative and show your dominant side. Asra is very sly and will act bratty if you're into that too. They will try to tease you back and act all smug but as soon as they're forced into a corner with your thigh between their legs, their face takes on such a lovely shade of red.

Always used to being the more affectionate and loving one, Asra's weak spot is undoubtedly you and the love you give him. If instead of being rough you take on a more soft and affectionate approach, he's taken aback. Start softly kissing all over his face while caressing his fluffy hair, worship his body and praise him. You can feel how his half of the heart is overflowing with love and want.

Has a hard time letting you take the initiative because they love pleasing you and making you feel good. You have to do your best to help them relax but a simple ''Be good and let me take care of you, baby.'' is enough to make Asra relax and let you use their body to your heart's content.

NADIA

Nadia Satrinava:

Elegance, is the word for the gifts she spoils you with.

Everything she gifts you always has a connection to a certain time you have spent together.

A memorable date? A memorable day? A memorable moment? It doesn't matter;

Even the jewels that always color coordinate with your outfit palette has some sort of underlying memory connected to them.

Prepare to get showered with the finest, most intricately detailed accessories that Nadia associates with your shared memories.

Small mechanical inventions for your familiar. Like the little toys she made for Chandra.

Just as much as she pampers you, Nadia spares no expense in both monetary value and thought value to the things she creates for your familiar.

Your familiar is never going to feel bored within the Palace grounds, what with both Chandra and Nadia's little inventions to keep them company when you aren't there.

Light silk clothes in your preferred color palette, while the Vesuvian weather makes velvet and other similar fabrics impractical-

Nadia is well versed with the versatility of silk with the heat.

The silks she gifts you are to be imported from Praka, she will settle for gifting you no other silks but the finest kind in all the world.

The embroidery on these clothing items are always customized:

A pattern of a colorful forest: When you hunted down Lucio's ghost together.

A pattern of a wheat field: For that time you screamed your grievances to the heavens.

A pattern of waves, a small island with a singular angled tree: For the time you swam with her in the High Priestess' domain.

Asra Alnazar:

Scrapbooks is the vibe that comes to mind whenever the gift is from Asra.

For his presents are a mix of both learning, and simple sentimentalities.

There are still times where he goes on his own adventures and whenever he does, he never fails to bring back a tricket (Or five) which had reminded him of you in some way.

A leatherbound journal, with a burnt in pattern. For note taking when you're working on spell adjustments.

A small gemstone imbued with a protection spell, or a spell for luck, or healing- That has been fashioned into a necklace.

Herbs that he dries himself.

Self-made tea blends that he has subjected himself to tasting before handing you the perfected blends.

Matching knitted sweaters for you and your familiar, imbued with temperature regulation spells.

Spell tomes he bought, read, and then annotated with possible helpful tips, or everyday commentary to make your learning easier and more fun.

Julian Devorak:

Tomfoolery. That's it. That's his type of gifts.

A pun book, that he had somehow managed to talk Malak into gently dropping on you.

A sealed bottle with a preserved leach inside, reminiscent of the time you both thought to bathe in a suspiciously muddled pond.

He buys small journals, and writes down his adventure stories within them before handing them over to you.

Sometimes he'd send you a "Doctor's Prescription" that contain sweet gestures such as ten hugs a day, four kisses per hour, a "Nap" with him that lasts at least 12 hours-

Julian is an actor, a performer, an artist, a man of the arts. He always comes up with a new way to make a gift unique from the rest despite them being almost the same in form.

You now have a slowly growing folder of all the Doctor's Prescriptions you have been prescribed.

Thankfully, you only have a single bottle of leech and there is no indication that there will ever be another one.

Muriel the Outsider:

Handmade. Everything he gifts you is made with love, adoration, and quiet devotion driving his hands.

Sculptures both realistic and abstract, with the wood carefully polished to bring out the unique patterns.

Spice blends foraged and dried by himself from when he goes foraging in the forest every month.

Very seldomly, he gifts you flowers that he dried himself. Whenever he finds some that he likes the colors of.

He doesn't gift you dried flowers often, he appreciates nature and it's bounty but finds it hard to see any flowers as beautiful enough to be given to you.

Home cooked meals that Muriel tries his best to perfectly season and cook to your preferences.

Whenever trading caravans pass by Vesuvia, Muriel heads into the city and does his best to peruse each and every cart. Looking for something that might "Speak" to him as something that suffices as a gift for you in his eyes.

If there is no specific thing that meets his standard, then he'll look for materials in the carts instead so that he can make you something.

Portia Devorak:

Literature; Portia learned to read and write quite late in life, those two skills have become an integral part of who she is and what she sees as art and worthy of praise.

She writes you verses, poems, short stories- and she scatters them in the nooks and crannies of your shared home for you to find unexpectedly.

The paper is always subconsciously imbued with her magic. Whenever you touch the paper, you end up getting a glimpse into what she was feeling for you when she wrote the piece.

She gifts you books of stories she always comes back to, and books about the history, customs, and culture of the places you and her are sent as Emissaries to.

She makes sure to read through these books herself first, inserting slips of paper with her own viewpoints on a particular scene, or poems inspired by the scene (and the fact that she imagined both of you in it).

She also makes sure to always get you a box of the most delicious looking and smelling treat in the bakeries you visit on your Emmisary trips.

Lucio / Montag Morgasson:

The World. (No, Lucio does not get you the world turtle- As cute as they may be.)

He is no longer the Count, he has renounced that stature in favor of being a mercenary once more.

On your excursions, Lucio takes the time to sit down and take in the sights with you. Talking about everything and little nothings all at once.

Sometimes he sneaks in a purchase when you're both in the marketplace stocking up on supplies, stuffing it into his pack when your back is turned.

He never knows where or when he's going to give it to you on your adventures, but he knows that he'll know when the time is right.

Lucio picks flowers from the paths you're walking to place it either in your hair, or he pins it to your shirt.

If you get sad when it inevitably wilts away, Lucio reassures you that it's nothing to be sad about because the memory of your happiness from receiving the flower will metaphorically be keeping it alive.

If you find a way to preserve it with magic, he'll buy a sturdy box (He also asks you to enchant it with a few spells for extra safety) in which to keep all the flowers taken from your journey.

Once the box is full, it finds a place on the mantle of your shared home.

▸ ASRA has grown the most familiar with your routine. you’re not quite fragile, as he’s come to discover— just that you tend to swallow your emotions down with a smile, only for them to rise back up at the slightest inconvenience. in a few moments— as predicted— the tears stinging in your eyes finally begin slipping.

he gently cups your face, even as you attempt to hide away and avert your gaze, drying your cheeks with his fingers. you swear to him, through mumbles and sobs that you’re trying to toughen up— you’re really trying— while insisting there’s no reason for you to be upset about your little predicament while you choke back the sob rising in your throat. they know you too well for those feeble attempts to convince them.

“shhh… it’s alright. it’s alright.” asra’s voice is understanding. patient. they wouldn’t care if you were crying over the smallest matter in the universe right now. all their focus is on calming you down.

while asra believes and insists that your capacity for strong emotions is a blessing and not a curse like you tend to think, he does wish that your tenderness would not be so abused by the world around you. at the end of the day, he reminds you that you’ve got his love— that he’ll always be there to wipe your tears away— but will always secretly wonder to himself about why you continue to be so recklessly kind.

even so, you’re never to blame for your big heart in their eyes. and slowly, everything they do to make the world a better place is in hope that one day, the world will be sweeter to you.

▸ JULIAN does quietly and internally freak out when he first sees you cry— not because he doesn’t know what to do, but rather because he hadn’t expected seeing you, out of all people, like this. you— the person who always seemed to find something to be happy about instead of dwelling on your misery. you— who frequently brushed off inconveniences and upsetting circumstances with little to no thought. you— who always bounced back, always saw it through.

oh, but he could never be upset with you for crying. not at all.

he knows he can’t just leave you sobbing your eyes out. so, with the sensibility that he has, he gently guides you to a quiet place for you and allows you to lean against him. he’ll attempt to talk you through it, even if you don’t feel like speaking, hoping that the one-sided conversation of his ramblings will at least distract you, if not soothe you.

your head to his chest, he takes one of your hands in his, while the other gently grips your hip. tells you how brave and strong you are— even if you don’t seem particularly inclined to believe him at the moment, shooting a small glare at him through watery eyes as he says these things.

“i wasn’t patronizing you,” he says, eyebrows raising slightly as your shoulders tense, “i mean it.”

you take a deep breath, gauging the sincerity of his words, before finally relaxing.

“‘m sorry… it’s stupid— i know it is. you shouldn’t have to do this.” you sniffle.

for a moment, julian only shakes his head in response, his thumb caressing the top of your hand as he squeezes it. “but darling, i want to.”

while he’s not as attuned with your emotions as asra, julian is good at getting you to calm down. will definitely do a few breathing exercises with you to help you ground yourself, in between his affirmations and reassurances.

▸ is it really all that surprising that LUCIO is completely clueless? in his eyes, everything was going completely fine for you two seconds ago— or so it seemed. here he was, just coming by to check on you, only to watch you crumple into yourself, hiding your face in your hands as you muttered a half-hearted “go away.”

he’s too stubborn to listen to that. besides, even he knows he’d be a massive asshole if he just left you like this. instead, lucio sits right next to you, shoulder pressed up to yours, and asks about what happened. perhaps pester is a better word.

while not intentionally rude, he’s slightly dismissive of the situation at first, wondering why in the world something so trivial would matter so much to you. it takes a second, but lucio backpedals on this immediately when he realizes you're not calming down, you're getting worse. your breathing grows quicker and more tears spill— you don’t even reply to him. oopsies. silent comfort it is.

he’s not completely useless. instead of using words, he’ll put an arm around your shoulder, pulling you into his side, allowing you to cry it out for as long as you need. part of you wants to question when he gained the capacity to shut up— but you don’t feel the need to be particularly snarky at the moment. he’s trying his best to be sweet to you.

will be more attentive for the days after, assuring you that you needn’t give into the urge to “toughen up” when he’s around.

“stay soft, i can fight.” he grins, giving you a wink that makes you roll your eyes at him almost instinctively.

still, the tiny laugh that escapes your lips ends up betraying any sort of exasperation you meant to convey as you playfully hit his bicep as you tell him to quit. was his tone light hearted? yes. was he kidding? of course not.

▸ there’s a moment where your lip quivers and your eyes water up that makes MURIEL feel like he’s looking into a reflection of himself somehow. his heart sinks completely at the sight of you breaking down, as he searches for the right thing to say.

he’s flooded with relief when you make an attempt to speak first, even if it’s just you stumbling over your words to lie directly to his face.

you take in a shaky breath, awkwardly shrinking yourself away by crossing your arms. “it’s fine, it doesn’t matter—”

“it matters to me.” he replies softly.

muriel is much better at listening than he is at speaking in these situations, so he allows you to vent all you need as you cry. you feel these emotions so deeply, so strongly— he wonders how you managed for so long concealing these feelings.

“yeah… i get it.” he murmurs, nodding when you rant. to his horror, the tone comes out much more blunt than intended— almost sarcastic— but you know that he understands the minute you look into his eyes. he’s nothing but honest.

after a moment of silence, he asks what you need. you don’t verbalize, instead opting for awkwardly gesture with open arms, half expecting him to hesitate at your request. instead, much to your surprise and his he simply brings you close and sets you on his lap. holding you in his arms like he’s afraid you might break if he tightens the embrace any further, muriel hugs you like you’re the most precious thing in the universe.

leans more on acts of service as a form of comfort as well. will bring you water, blankets— will even brave the market to buy you your favorite snack. anything for you.

▸ NADIA’s first attempt is to deal with it logically. initially, she asks you a lot of questions, asks what she can do better— but ceases the minute you struggle to respond, only shaking your head while the words incoherently fall from your lips between sobs.

she sighs, realizing her short-comings. now isn’t the time for problem solving. you need comfort. “forgive me, lovely. i didn’t mean to upset you further.”

LUCIO TAKE FUCKING NOTES.

her embrace is loving. it almost feels like she’s trying to shield you from the world and it’s harshness towards you. nadia plants a kiss to your temple before allowing you to rest your head on her shoulder. as you stay in her arms, she rubs your back, promising that everything will be alright.

she’ll make sure of it too. will 100% throw a sharp glare at anyone who accidentally intrudes on this moment.

▸ it’s almost instinctual, the way PORTIA responds. you haven’t said a thing, yet she notes the way your hands begin trembling, eyes brimming with tears. she immediately gets protective, asking which idiot made you feel so upset with full intention to beat their ass if she ever crossed paths with them— but questions no further when you don’t reply.

physically affectionate as ever, with your permission, portia kisses your tears away, pressing her lips to your face sweetly as she cradles it in her hands.

will not baby you for being sensitive, but will grow more defensive of you. of course she knows you can handle yourself like you keep on reminding, but you’ve been doing it for so long. too long. shows you that she’s right there to support you no matter what, always on your side.

Julian Devorak SFW Alphabet

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Extremely affectionate! Julian's giving love language is physical touch and he is very clingy and touch starved. Sometimes he has no concept of personal space so you'll need to remind him of your boundaries. Besides physical affection, he also likes to show his love for you through words of affirmation and gift giving. He is a very kind and caring man with so much love to give.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

You two probably met by running into each other as he was running away from trouble and you helped him out. Julian is a very funny and loyal best friend, although he tends to self-sabotage your friendship due to his insecurities. But he is lots of fun to be around and never fails to make you smile, also is always there for you and offers you his full support.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Loves cuddling! Prefers being the little spoon but if you're smaller than him then he definitely doesn't mind winding his lanky body around yours. He is big into laying his head on your lap or you laying on his lap, scratch his scalp and he's out like a light. He feels so protected and safe whenever you're the big spoon. Is constantly pressing kisses into your hair and the back of your neck whenever you're the little spoon.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

Settling down is a hard thing for Julian to do, but he is also a huge romantic and would be willing to do it with the right person. He is an adventurous spirit, but at the same time, he cannot deny that the idea of living a domestic life with you is incredibly tempting. Julian is a good cook but he nearly sets the kitchen on fire in the process and often leaves a mess. When living on his own, he tends to prefer a creative mess but picks up on some sort of order and cleaning once the two of you start living together (just don't look under the bed, that's where he hides his leeches).

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

Well, remember the 'talk' on the docks? That's how he would do it, unless your relationship was even more serious when he felt as if he had to end it. If that was the situation, then Julian wouldn't be able to bear the heartbroken look in your eyes, so he'd most likely leave a letter to you, where he'd explain the situation, and then disappear.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

Never thought he'd find 'the one' before he met you. He knows that he's the type of a person who gets attached easily and quickly so he prefers to wait a bit and have some time to think before proposing to you. Once the two of you had a taste of a domestic life and if you mention wanting to get married, then he'd waste no time in buying a ring and asking you to be his. Cries tears of joy and spins you around in a hug when you say yes.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Julian is an extremely gentle and kind man, in both ways. His touches are always careful and loving, his words are sweet and tender. He treats you as if you're made of glass and takes care of you like you're his most precious treasure.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

He loves hugs, always melts into you whenever you embrace him. His hugs are full of warmth and adoration, one hand wound protectively around your waist while the other one rests against your head, playing with your hair. Hugs you every single day, before you leave the house to go run some errands, hugs you from behind when you're cooking and holds you tightly when you're asleep.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

Quite fast, Julian knows his heart well and the feeling he gets whenever you smile at him or show him any sort of loving gesture is undeniably romantic. It happens completely unexpected, during a moment where you just look so perfect and wonderful, but he doesn't blurt it out. He takes your hands in his and confesses his love to you, sweetly and patiently.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

Julian doesn't get jealous often because he himself is a very friendly and open person. He won't get jealous if you're giving your attention to someone else because he knows you and trusts you. The issue occurs when someone else shows romantic interest in you. If that happens, he takes his place next to you, putting an arm around you and giving you a possessive kiss, showing off your relationship with him in front of the interloper. This mostly comes out of insecurity and fear that eventually you'll leave him for someone who is better than him and more worthy of you. Please reassure him and hold him for a bit, remind him that he is your one and only.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Soft, breathy, warm, wet and intimate. Julian loves kisses, doesn't matter where the two of you are. Most often he kisses your hands, pecking your fingers one by one. Also loves kissing your nose and, of course, your lips. Adores it when you kiss his forehead, especially if you have to get on your tiptoes to do it, he thinks it's so sweet.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Julian is very good with children as he grew up with a little sister. He is a kid at heart and has loads of patience for them. When it comes to the two of you having little ones, he leaves the final decision to you. On one hand, he'd love to have a family with you, but on the other, that would make it difficult for the two of you to have wild adventures and he's afraid of putting too much responsibility on you due to him being a workaholic. So, ultimately, he is fine with whatever.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Because he's an insomniac, when he finally does sleep, Julian tends to be very drowsy and slow. Mornings with him are quiet (for a change), and he loves spending them by drawing patterns on your soft skin and exchanging slow, languid kisses with you.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Cozy, domestic and joyful. After a long day at work, Julian loves nothing more than to catch up with you on how your day went while the two of you eat together and do the dishes. Afterwards, you share a bath before snuggling into bed and just holding each other and talking before dozing off.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

He is mostly a very shameless and open man, who has no issue revealing most things about him. The only things he wishes to spare you are some tragic and traumatic moments from his past which you'll usually get a glimpse off when his mind is plagued by nightmares. On those nights, Julian is quite vulnerable and sobbing in your arms as he re-tells the horrible things he witnessed and experienced throughout his life. However, having you by his side during such moments helps alleviate his burdens and he is grateful to the Arcana to have you.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

For you, Julian has all the patience in the world. The only way to get him mad at you or lose his patience is if he sees you getting hurt on purpose or not taking care of yourself (which is very funny coming from him). However, he quickly catches himself acting angry and apologizes as he never wanted to lose his temper around you. For others, he gets mad if they present as a threat to his loved ones or act ignorant, especially when they turn a blind eye to people in need or ignore serious issues.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

Remembers everything, which is very surprising. Julian tends to be a forgetful person but he'd rather die than do something stupid like forgetting your birthday or your favorite color. So, he has a little notebook that he carries with him which contains everything you told him about you. He wants to remember everything, from the biggest to smallest details. It's not as creepy as it sounds, he just loves you so much and wants you to feel loved and attended to.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

The days that you two spent in each other's company after defeating the Devil are Julian's favorite memories. Nothing special happened during those days, you mostly just lazed around at his place all day, napping in bed and talking, getting to know each other better and recovering from the mental and physical strain the whole ordeal put the both of you through. He also remembers your trip to Nevivon fondly, the way that everyone loved you and accepted you as his partner made Julian's heart cry with joy.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Very protective and loves it when you act that way towards him too. Julian is ready to act as your human shield 24/7. Although he hates seeing you hurt, he cannot deny how his heart does a flip whenever you act protective of him (he also finds it very hot).

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

Julian is big on romantic gestures, so he's always doing things that make you feel loved and appreciated. From loving post-it notes scattered around your place to a wonderful bouquet of your favorite flowers. Goes all out for your dates, anniversaries and birthdays, spoiling you to the bone.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

The aforementioned sabotage and the way he lets his insecurities get the best of him. Sometimes it can be hard to get it through his thick skull just how much you love him and how much he means to you because his doubts get so loud that he completely tunes out any comforting words you may offer him. Not to mention his inability to take care of himself and his workaholic tendencies can make it hard for Julian to function properly. During such times, he needs a loving and guiding hand, not to mention lots and lots of patience from you. He can get carried away with drinking at times but keeps himself in check once the two of you start dating.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

Not particularly, he knows he looks good and is aware of his charm and charisma. He has this messiness that just puts his whole look together. Though he is careful to always look clean and neat, albeit a little disheveled but it's what won you over in the end.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Yes, once he gets used to you, Julian cannot imagine his life without you. If something happened to you, he would probably drink his sorrows away and live the rest of his life as an empty shell of a man that he once was.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

Has a beautiful singing voice. When he's not aiming to entertain and puts his theatrical traits aside, Julian has a very soothing and melodious voice. Always sings to you whenever you cannot sleep or when you wake up from a nightmare.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

Unaffectionate and rude people. He can understand those of a more cold and distant personality, but he craves warmth and closeness. Also wouldn't be with someone who is ashamed of him or tries to hide their relationship. He wants everyone to know you're his and he is yours, and wants you to be proud of what the two of you have.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

Doesn't sleep well for days, and then crashes into a mini-coma once a week where he sleeps for 10+ hours. Lightly snores and smacks his lips. Prefers just sleeping in slacks, bare-chested. Is very clingy whenever he sleeps next to you, his face always finding itself in the crook of your neck or his head is laying on your chest, his mind soothed by the sound of your heartbeat.
