Set in episode 2 of season 1 right after they exit the cinema

„Sie sind ja lebensgefährlich, Fräulein Monika.“, murmelte Joachim und zündete sich seine Zigarette an. Um ganz ehrlich mit sich selbst zu sein; Ihm fiel in diesem Moment nichts anderes ein, das er hätte sagen können. Monika kam vor ihn zum Stehen und schien verlegen, doch keineswegs reumütig.

„Ist es schlimm?“

„Ja. Das war mein Lieblingspulli.“

Mit gekünstelter Leichtigkeit qualmte er den Rauch aus. Monika wusste nicht wie ihr zumute war. Einerseits war es wohl wünschenswert, dass Herr Franck noch Witze reißen konnte und nicht drauf und dran zu sein schien, Monika zurechtweisen zu wollen. Andererseits hatte sie sich ihre Rache in ihrem Kopf kathartischer ausgemalt. Sie schaute sich ihr Gegenüber genauer an, was diesem nicht entging.

Joachims rechte Hand blieb versteckt unter seinem Jackett. Mit der flachen Hand drückte er durch den schwarzen Stoff auf den Einstich in seiner Brust. Mit jedem Ausatmen musste er kurz schnauben. Der Schmerz fraß sich langsam tiefer unter seine Haut, doch er blieb weiterhin äußerlich gelassen.

„Soll ich einen Arzt rufen?“

Die Spannung in der Luft war beiden sehr unangenehm, obwohl nur Monika sich traute, dies nach außen zu tragen.

Joachim zuckte nur die Schultern und lehnte ab, „Danke.“

Seine Handfläche glitt unter dem Jackett über die blutnasse Einstichstelle.

„Das war das erste Mal, dass mich jemand erstechen wollte. Ich danke Ihnen für diese neue Erfahrung.“

Seine Finger klebten leicht aneinander und warme Spuren von wandernden Blutstropfen sickerten langsam in seinen rechten Ärmel. Viel länger konnte er die Fassade nicht mehr aufrecht erhalten. Mit einem Mal verdrehte sich ihm der Magen.

„Fräulein Monika.“, sagte er zum Abschied, ohne ihr in die Augen zu sehen. Viel wichtiger war es ihm, den Weg zu seinem Auto in der Dunkelheit zu finden. Nur weg von hier. Nur weg von ihr- Dieser Abend war nicht gelaufen wie er es sich erhofft hatte. Monika war mit sich aber nicht sehr unzufrieden. Und Joachim konnte es ihr nur gönnen.

„Sie wollen doch nicht ernsthaft selbst fahren.“, drang ihre helle Stimme hinter ihm hervor.

„Wenn Sie das tun, machen Sie die Sache nur noch schlimmer.“ In ihrer Stimme klang keinerlei Hohn. Sie wollte ihn verdammt nochmal zur Vernunft bringen. Und wenn ein Messerstich als Rachezug das nötige Mittel war, dann sei es nunmal so.

Vom Glück im Leben redlich verschont machte Joachim in diesem Augenblick einen ungeschickten Schritt auf der Steintreppe und musste sich schnell am Geländer festklammern, um nicht hintenüber zu fallen.

Der rasche Höhenverlust raubte ihm den Atem und der Stich brannte gnadenlos in seiner Brust.

Zwei Arme schlangen sich um seine Mitte, die ihn wieder aufrichten wollten. Die Welt drehte sich für einen Moment zu schnell und Joachim wurde schwarz vor Augen.

„Oh!", rief das Fräulein als ihr Gegenüber fest ihre Oberarme griff, um bloß nicht wieder zu fallen. Er keuchte schwer, taumelte leicht und ihr graute vor dem Anblick der Ärmel ihrer Weste, auf der sich zwei große, tief rote Handabdrücke abzeichneten.

„Nun kommen Sie schon.“, sagte Monika mit gefestigter Stimme so als wäre Franck Junior nicht gerade fast auf ihr zusammengeklappt.

„Verzeihung.", antwortete dieser ein wenig zusammenhangslos und machte keine weiteren Anstalten, sich zu rühren. Nach einem prüfenden Blick nach oben konnte Monika sehen, dass er die Augen geschlossen hatte. Auch der fesselnde Griff um ihre Arme hatte sich verflüchtigt. Wieder verschwand seine Hand unter das Jackett. So würde das nicht gehen. Keiner von beiden konnte sie irgendwohin fahren. Glücklicherweise lag das Kino sowieso am Kufürstendamm. Und zur Nummer 56 ließe sich auch laufen…

„Ich soll sicher kein Taxi ins Krankenhaus für Sie bestellen?“

Joachims Antwort war stumm, doch vielsagend. Seine Abneigung der Idee gegenüber schien eine tiefere Bedeutung zu haben, doch dieser entzog sich Monika vorerst. Nun gut, sie würde ihm einen Verband verpassen und beide würden wieder ihre getrennten Wege gehen.

Nach etwa einer Viertelstunde gelangten sie gegen Mitternacht in die Tanzschule, wo die Tochter des Hauses einzelne Tischlampen der Rezeption anknipste und sich auf die Suche nach Verbandszeug und einem Fläschchen Hochprozentigem machte.

Als sie wieder in den Empfangsbereich trat, fand sie Joachim halb auf den drei Treppen, die zum großen Tanzsaal führten, liegend. Er konnte sich selbst keinen Reim auf diesen Abend machen. Weder auf den gezielten Messerhieb, noch auf Monikas Hilfsbereitschaft. Doch er blieb still und versuchte zuweilen, sich kleiner wirken zu lassen als er war. Dort liegend wie ein Taugenichts.

Einige Minuten später hatte Monika ihn überredet, das Jackett mit ihrer Hilfe auszuziehen und einen Arm aus seinem werten "Lieblingspulli“ zu befreien, damit sie den Pullover hochziehen und sich die Stelle einmal ansehen konnte.

Es war kein schöner Anblick. Dass sich das auf ihrem Gesicht spiegelte sah Joachim zwar, doch gab er keinen Kommentar. Diese Situation war äußerst komisch aus seiner Perspektive betrachtet und er gab acht, sich nicht zu bewegen. Nicht nur seiner Verletzung wegen. Ihm war bewusst, dass die beiden sich seit ihrer ersten Nacht nicht mehr so nah gewesen waren. Und mehr als alles andere wollte er doch besser werden… Vielleicht könnte sie ihm eines Tages verzeihen, was er ihr angetan hatte und vielleicht-

„Ahh! Oh, Scheisse-"

„Alkohol, ich reinige ihre Wunde. Könnte ein bisschen brennen.“

„Mhm.", er biss sich fest auf die Zunge und seine Augen rollten sich zurück. Er hörte nicht mehr klar zu, wie Monika zischend vorsichtig ausatmete. Das sah nicht gut aus. Nachdem sie das Blut größtenteils weggewaschen und die Wunde abgetupft hatte, kam der etwa Zeigefinger-große Schlitz zum Vorschein.

„Ein Verband wird nicht reichen. Herr Franck?“

Der Herr murmelte nur vor sich hin. Der Kinofilm war längst vergessen und machte sich einfach auf die Suche nach Nadel, Faden und Feuerzeug.

„Was machen Sie da?“, es klang echte Neugier in seiner müden Stimme.

Monika sterilisierte still die Nadel unter der Flamme und beäugte ihn von der Seite.

„Wieso geben Sie mir nicht den Gnadenstoß?“, brachte er erschöpft hervor und wie auf Kommando weinte seine Wunde wieder Blut.

„Ich wusste nicht, dass Sie nach Anschlägen auf Ihre Person so zynisch werden. Beißen Sie hier drauf. Und nicht über die Brust atmen.“

Er tat wie ihm geheißen und biss mit einer gewissen Vorahnung auf das Stück Stoff.

Die nächsten zwanzig Minuten zogen sich in eine nervenzehrende Länge. Von Joachims Gestöhne ließ sich Monika nicht von ihrer Arbeit ablenken. Wenn er doch nur aufhören würde, so tief und unregelmäßig zu atmen, wäre sie schon fertig gewesen. Das konnte sie ihm leider nur schwerlich zu verstehen geben. Allgemein war er über die ganze Prozedur nur halb anwesend.

Endlich band sie den letzten Knoten und wusch sich die Hände. Ihr Werk stach dunkel aus seiner blassen Haut hervor. Die Haut darum war rot und heiß.

„-genäht. Hören Sie? Joachim?“, ihre Stimme drang wieder leise in sein Bewusstsein.

"Vielleicht sterbe ich ja auch so. Wie die Kaiserin von Österreich.“

Er rollte den Kopf wieder hoch von seiner Schulter und sah sie an.

„Sie… du wirst schon wieder ganz…“, sie konnte sich ein Grinsen nicht verkneifen und schaute zur Seite, dass er es nicht sehe. Schnell wurde klar, dass Joachim entweder seinen eigenen Witz überhört hatte, oder es gar nicht so gemeint war.

„James Dean wäre gestern 25 geworden.“, sprach er leise, verloren in Gedanken.

Er blickte knapp an ihr vorbei aus dem Schaufenster hinaus auf die Straße und sie schwiegen für eine Minute zusammen.

„Darf ich‘s sehen?“

Sie half ihm auf die Beine und leitete ihn in den Tanzsaal hinein zur verspiegelten Wand.

Vor den dunklen Spiegeln ließ seine Finger knapp über den Nadelstichen schweben.

„So etwas lernt man im Institut?“

„Nein, das nicht. Meine Schwester Eva hat schon immer ein Händchen für sowas gehabt. Das habe ich von ihr.“

Ihr Patient nickte. Sie hielten im Spiegel Augenkontakt.

„Und jetzt? Ein Verband?“, versuchte er sich nützlich zu machen.

„Genau.“

Monika ließ ihn kurz stehen und kehrte mit den Sachen zurück. Er hielt die Kompresse auf der Stelle und Monika umkreiste ihn mit der Verbandsrolle. Unter seiner Handfläche spürte er wie sein Herz ruhig schlug.

Alsbald war er wieder ganz in seinen Pullover geschlüpft.

„Den kann ich wohl entsorgen, was?“

Er fädelte demonstrativ seinen Zeigefinger durch das Loch im schwarzen Stoff.

„Du kannst ihn auch flicken.“

Der Größere drehte sich weg vom Spiegel und hin zu ihr und sprach nach einem Moment sanft:

„Das ist eine gute Idee. Dankeschön.“

Das Klacken ihrer Schuhe hallte durch die leere Rezeption. Im spärlichen Licht des Schreibtisches angekommen nickte er kurz mit dem Kopf zum Abschied.

„Gute Nacht.“

Nach einem letzten Blick zu ihr verließ er die Tanzschule. Es war ein Blick, der ihr zu beichten versuchte: 'Du hast mir eine wertvolle Lektion erteilt.‘.

Die Tür fiel ins Schloss.

Suspects in deadly Orange Mound mass shooting face federal prosecution

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Interim Memphis Police Chief CJ Davis said she’s seeking federal prosecution for those responsible for Saturday’s mass shooting in Orange Mound.At a city council meeting on Tuesday, Chief Davis said community members have submitted plenty of video of the tragedy that claimed two lives and left seven others injured. Thanks to that cooperation, she said there is enough evidence to pursue federal charges.“We raised the award money for CrimeStoppers and we really started to receive a lot of intel,” said Davis.Davis did not go into detail about what was seen in the video evidence but said some of the content is disturbing.Meanwhile, Orange Mound residents are reeling again Tuesday from yet another shooting. Monday night, Memphis police were called back to Orange Mound for a shooting on Buntyn Street just two days after the deadly mass shooting at Orange Mound Park.One Orange Mound mother says a stray bullet from that shooting flew through their kitchen window. It’s the second reported shooting in the neighborhood in less than a week and this mother said she’s tired of it.She added that she’s now holding her young son a little closer.

How can I protect myself? We go in the store, if he feel like he want to do something he can let off rounds right there and then,” he said.MPD has called in some big names to not only help with the Orange Mound shooting investigation but to tackle youth crime as a whole.“We are utilizing all intel information that we can gather, not just from the Memphis Police Department, but from our federal partners too. The FBI we have called in the ATF to help support in this effort,” said Davis.She also said the crime that youth are involved in at Memphis City Parks are unacceptable.“Our recreation centers are full of children, and not just with Orange Mound Park but we had incidents at Douglass Park and Hollywood Community Center,” said Davis.

My clients' happiness is worth the amount of work I put in everyday. While showing houses or selling houses sounds like an easy task there's a lot of work that is done behind the scenes that is necessary for a positive experience for my clients. On average my productive hours are 95 hours per week. Some days I am working through cooking and eating dinner. I take a break for lunch about 15 minutes but most days I work while eating and take a break for dinner about 30 minutes. On an average day my day ends at 10:30 PM with that last phone call or e-mail. My day starts at 6:30 AM everyday with answering e-mails, preparing documents needed for my day (whether that's getting together last minute paperwork for a listing appointment or preparing for a closing), checking the multiple listing service for my buyers. I often hearĬomments that Realtors receive too much money for their commissions. There are so many misconceptions about the amount of work that Realtors do. Most entrepreneurs accept that they will put in more hours than other people and I find that if you keep some balance you can stay productive and happy. After my kids go to bed, I will put in a little more time on my projects and reach back out to anyone that I missed from 6-9pm. A factions advantages or disadvantages are no reason for a unit to be more cost effective per cost. I've said it before and I'll say it again. The Soviet mortar doesn't need a HUGE buff, it just needs a reload of 5 seconds.
