ALLEGED IPHONE 6 MANUFACTURING MOLD HINTS AT 4.7-INCH DISPLAY
Nowhereelse.fr (via MacRumors) has obtained a photo featuring an iPhone 4S compared to an alleged aluminium mold that will be the body of Apple's upcoming 2014 iPhone, commonly referred to as the iPhone 6.
Calculations based on the comparison reveal the mold could yield a device with a 4.7-inch display. A size that has been rumored for the iPhone 6 for months now.
"Nowhereelse.fr believes that there are additional pieces yet to be attached to the bottom of the mold, pieces which would result in the iPhone's body being formed at the wider portion of the mold depression."
Nowhereelse.f:-"Some of the holes that were drilled into the block in fact serve to fix the inserts which will form a crude which is then machined housing (finishes) using a CNC milling machine. Thus, and assuming that my theory is correct, the dimensions of the box will be determined by the widest part and not the bottom of the mold." "In this assumption, I started to resize the photo to scale against me in reference to the size of the iPhone 4s. I then measured the dimensions of the widest part of the mold which is approximately 138mm long by 64mm wide."
Below is an image of a resized iPhone 5S superimposed into the mold, with Nowhereelse.fr determining that the device's screen would be roughly 4.7 inches diagonally.

Sony's 2000 Series PlayStation Vita Coming to U.S. in May
Sony's tweaked 2000 series of its handheld gaming console, PlayStation Vita, is finally going to make it to the U.S. in May.
Here is a rundown on what you need to know:
The Vita 2000, went on sale in Japan last October and came to the UK this February.
The Vita 200 is 20 percent slimmer, 15 percent lighter than the original.
Largely the same design, but slight design changes and its aforementioned thinner profile make the handheld slightly more ergonomic.
ONE KEY DIFFERENCE: Switch from OLED 5-inch display in the original Vita to 5-inch LCD display in the newer 2000 series models.
Sony claims the difference is negligible, but the change is a certainly a downgrade from the vibrant colors produced by the OLED display.
Display: Remains 5-inches diagonally with a resolution of 960 by 544 pixels
PlayStation Vita 2000 will be available at U.S. retailers starting May 6th with a $199.99 bundle that includes Borderlands 2 and an 8GB memory card.

WSJ: Amazon to Reveal Smartphone in June, Shipping by September
The Wall Street Journal is reporting (via The Verge), that Amazon will announce a smartphone by June.
Amazon reportedly showcased early prototypes to developers in San Francisco and Seattle in recent weeks.
WSJ corroborates earlier reports it will display 3D Content without 3D Glasses.
Glasses Free 3D reportedly capable due to the incorporation of "retina-tracking technology "embedded in four front-facing cameras. This achieves a 3D, hologram-like effect.
"Patents outlining such a system were uncovered last year."
Amazon's Phone expected to start shipping in September.
No word on retail pricing, but it is very unlikely that it will be FREE
Run on a heavily customized (forked) version of Android
The smartphone will join not only Amazon's current family of tablets, but its recently launched Amazon Fire TV set-top box.
