Its a civilian going against fans that are most likely hunters, the very individuals hunters are ment to protect from monsters ever since the dungeons appeared

THE HUNTERS USED A HIGH RANKED MONSTER TO TARGET A CIVILIAN (the mutual enemy internationally)

this was all done because PEOPLE BEING ENTITLMENT OF THE RELATIONSHIPS OF THE S-RANK HUNTERS.

This is furthur solidified and makes the WHOLE DEBACHLE worse because only EXPERIENCED hunters would have the knowledge and experince to be able to lure a monster from a dungeon break to a specific location, especially if reader wasn't even near the dungeon in the first place.

The Sung Jinwoo x Kat Kardashian saga continues

we are back! WITH THE BEST SOLO LEVELING AU IN EXISTENCE in my humble opinion

something that @rarepears already mentioned, but jinwoo is now part of the yearly christmas card. he just forgot to mention it at home, which is why jinah is getting revenge with baby/children photos of jinwoo- again. jinwoo just became another meme, again. and he doesn’t know it 😔

the moment jinwoo’s mother finds out jinwoo has a girlfriend and it’s not a korean one… listen, she loves jinwoo with all her heart and he’s her first born and everything, but she really wanted a dutiful korean girl for her son. kat doesn’t even know how to cook! the scandal! but then she gets to know her better and she’s just happy that her son found someone he loves.

now is just the problem with kat’s family. she’s pretty sure that jinwoo will marry his girlfriend one day, (he’s very smitten and she knows her son too well) and she doesn’t have any problems with kat joining the family (she can still teach her how to cook) but the in laws… yeah, she has some problems with them. not that she’ll ever voice her complaints, she’ll just smile and say she’s happy for her son, as every mother would :)

the KHA somehow finds out that jinwoo’s mom doesn’t really like the kardashians (they just guessed and they were lucky they were right) and try to pair up with her to split them. now they not only have to fight off the die-hard fans and the american hunter association, but also jinwoo’s own mom. plan c? that was plan c and they’re slowly running out of options.

the moment the whole sung familt is introduced officially to 'keeping up with the kardashians', society went wild. sung jinwoo is a highschool drop out??? THE SCANDAL- oh, he did it so he could support his sister, how sweet of him! all the sung family secrets get dropped in the first three episodes because jinwoo is just obvious and tells the whole world every thing (it’s kinda sad… but now the 'normal' people, as in the ordinary people who never went to any hollywood event, think that jinwoo is wholesome and best man for kat)

kris is very happy that her youngest daughter caught this bug fish (also known as sung jinwoo) but would’ve liked it if she didn’t drag the whole sung family with her. kris doesn’t like the sister nor the mother. peridot. because she knows both will destroy her if she ruins jinwoo’s reputation/hurts his feelings if she does anything (she already had plans to make the relationship more scandalous but… yeah)

THE FATHER!! is actually alive and well, because jinwoo is now a western celebrity too. since the american’s will do anything and everything to get jinwoo to leave korea, they notify him immediately when his father turns up (and they don’t call him suspect s, because… that would probably make jinwoo angry and they really don’t want to make him angry) which means, jinwoo has a father again 👍🏻 good for him, bad for kris because now she has to deal with another hunter in her family

kat will and can marry jinwoo, it’s her new life goal now. she will spoil the shit out of him but notices pretty quick that he’s rather uncomfortable with that so she starts spoiling his family. it makes them happy and him happy, because his family is happy. win-win. (she kinda buys his love but it’s not like she knows it different. but with jinwoo, she truly learns what love is <3)

now that kat has stepped forward and is no longer just the youngest kardashian of the kardashian sisters, she starts her own business too. she doesn’t even go for make-up, but immediately dabbles with the hunter society. she 'creates' her own auctioning house, with jinwoo being her supplier. kris calls her crazy but then she makes more money than her other sisters with her brands in her first month and suddenly she’s the favorite daughter.

kat and jinah are now besties. and it’s not awkward because kat swore to god that she will marry jinwoo. and if he’s not going to ask her in the next two years, she’s going to ask him himself. jinah approves 👍🏻

Don't mind me. Just organizing my scattered ChoiBaek thoughts in this AU. Will probably change/add more later. Inspired by conversations with @manawari (Tried to make it in chronological order) When Jongin started falling for Yoonho: - Seeing him perform on stage for the first time - Seeing him be soft with the other members - When Yoonho helped him with a workout routine without mocking him despite Jongin being the weakest member in the group - Eating the food Yoonho made for him for the first time (Fell for Yoonho after about 2 months) - (Asked Byung-gyu and Gun-Hee for advice)

When Yoonho started falling for Jongin: - Seeing Jongin enjoy eating the food Yoonho made for him for the first time - When Yoonho saw Jongin wearing fox ears that someone gave him during a fan meet - When he asked Jongin for help with his makeup - When Jongin accidentally fell asleep against him in the car on their way back from a performance - Seeing Jongin do a demo for one of his emotional songs when Jongin thought no one was around (when Yoonho fell really hard; I could write a fanfic on this scene alone-) (Fell for Jongin after about 6 months (Jongin was not having a good time)) - (Asked Jinchul for advice) How they got together: - Got together about 2 months after Yoonho fell for Jongin - Happened during the holidays when the others went home to their families, so Choibaek was alone with each other - Accidental confession from Jongin? - Yoonho finally notices and asks Jongin how he really feels about him? - A heated argument where one of them accidentally hits a nerve, resulting in them apologizing and a confession? - I don't really know how but it was a huge mess When the others found out they started dating: Jinchul and Gun-Hee: The day they started Byung-gyu: The week they started Jinwoo and Taegyu: A few months after they started (they found Choibaek asleep on the couch together after a long performance; they were either dense or Choibaek was really good at hiding it from them, you can decide) Gay panic moments between them (it's mostly just Yoonho panicking though-) - Jongin trips, and Yoonho catches him by the waist - Jongin and Yoonho practice a duet together that forces them to be close (after Jongin fell for Yoonho, but before Yoonho fell for Jongin), and Jongin's panicking - Yoonho sees Jongin wear contacts for the first time - Yoonho sees Jongin in a crop top for one of their performances - Yoonho accidentally got Jongin's hair wet from opening a water bottle, and Jongin had to brush his bangs back to see clearly - Yoonho starts a habit of fixing Jongin's hair not only before performances but also at random times, catching Jongin off guard - Yoonho hears Jongin laugh around Byung-gyu's dog, Coco (headcanon that Jongin doesn't laugh a lot, let alone in a positive way) This is very much a case of "if I can't find content, I'll make it myself- These could be applied to some other AUs too actually- I should really do something about my ChoiBaek obsession though-

In fact, he had watched the young man go into a bar filled with laughter, music, and clinking glasses.

Now, Beru almost popped out from the shadows had you not held onto the wall with all your might. 

His Liege had asked him to watch over his little friend, to make sure that you were not harmed or taken advantage of. Beru also knows that His Liege cares about you very much, considering how much you had supported his family through tough times as a B-class hunter. 

“B-Beru? Is that you?” You hiccuped, before you rubbed your eyes. Beru jumped at the sudden call of his name, and didn’t know how you manage to spot him without revealing himself.

“Beru~ I know you’re there~” You take a step, but tumble over. Luckily, Beru was there to catch you. 

"Beru! My favourite lil man~" you exclaimed, your words slightly slurred. "You won't believe the party I just came from! It was incredible!"

Beru tilted his head, a silent acknowledgment of your presence, instead, leading you to the sofa. The drunk man, however, paid no mind to Beru's stoic demeanor. Instead, you gave the shadow knight a wide grin.

"You know, Beru, you're like my own little meow meow," you giggled, reaching out to rub the creature's head. Beru shivered, a foreign feeling bloomed from within.

Suddenly, you cupped Beru's face and brought it closer to your own. 

"You're so cute, Beru, You’re like a little kitty!" you cooed, and without another warning, your lips pressing against the creature's forehead.

Beru immediately jumped back, surprised by his own avoidance and embarrassment. Is this what humans do when they get drunk?!

Luckily HIs Liege can’t get drunk, because humans are like a different person when they are drunk! 

If Beru wasn’t here, what if you did this to someone else! That would be embarrassing! 

“Beru~” While Beru’s head was filled with question marks and danger signals as more scenarios pop up, you however, weren't satisfied with just one kiss. 

You dive towards him and continued to shower Beru with affectionate pecks, your enthusiasm fueled by the alcohol coursing through your veins.

Also, were you wearing lip gloss?? Why does it smell like cherries?!

Beru, being smothered with kisses, he quickly held you up and away from him. He didn't know what to do.

My Liege! 

Jinwoo, having sensed the commotion, entered the room just in time to witness the peculiar scene. His eyes widened as he took in the sight of Beru, who was covered in red lip stains, and looking at him confused and pleading for help.

"What's going on here?" Jinwoo asked, trying to stifle a laugh.

You turned to Jinwoo, your cheeks flushed from both embarrassment and alcohol.

"Oh, Jinwoo! Beru just deserves all the love, you know?"

Jinwoo couldn’t help but chuckle, making Beru even more flustered. Luckily, Jinwoo easily peeled you off of the poor shadow soldier, letting the poor Beru breathe again. 

You grinned, giving Beru one last affectionate pat before settling onto the couch. 

"Best party ever, Jinwoo. Best party ever." You mumbled before going into a slump, clearly won’t remember anything when you wake up. 

And so, in the quiet apartment, the shadow knight sat awkwardly, adorned with the scent of cherries, as you drifted into a tipsy slumber, thinking of their own little meow meow.

Okay so, what if Cha Haw-in had a sister who was an A-Rank healer and Jinwoo Likes Cha but can't get close to her. Sooo in a desperate attempt to catch her attention he courts her SISTER bUt reader is skeptical cuz this isn't the first time someone courted her to get close to her sister and the first time it happened she was heartbroken. The way Jinwoo courted her felt so genuine that she fell for it, thinking he actually liked her. So when she said she accepted his courting the look on his face realizing he fucked up cuz he lead her on and when Cha told him she was happy he wasn't using her sister to get close to her cuz she wanted her sister to feel loved made him feel even more guilty. When Reader saw his expression her face fell realizing she fell for one of her sister's suitors again. I’m very happy with my year in reading. I hit my new year’s goal of 52 books finished. And I read a lot of things that I really fucking loved. Lots of robots. LOTS of scifi/fantasy sapphics which I am SO happy about. Some good horror, some good fucky “romances”. A lot of things written in response to the Trump era or written during 2020 lockdown.

I also enjoyed partaking in online book fandom for the first time in possibly ever! Especially Murderbot fandom, which is very active and creative and lovely.

Okay um so the brainrot of the past few days is:

Haein who has regressed or seen the world bring about its destruction quote a lot of times (I'd say 100 for the 100 floors of the demon castle to be a representation of each rewind) and on the 99th rewind to take her bet with Antares and destroy the Rulers once and for all. Haein gives him her body as a vessel and Antares offers to give her power in exchange. And since humans aren't really the problem for teither of them, Antares agrees that humanity will be set free.

However what neither of them expected was that the possession had made them exchange memories and little by little had almost mixed their souls into one. With Haein seeing the past of the Monarch of Destruction and how he came to be that because he was forced to do so. Someone was forced to be the dark and AB never let him have any room for love and emotions. His creator made sure to turn him evil and for the darkness that he was born with to infect him completely. Whereas Antares gets to see the regressions and from the start a girl who has lost everything she loves and has no reason to survive except to escape the torment she has been put through.

In a way they both reflect each other's lives of never finding a single happiness or being able to maintain that because everyone is out to get them. They too, start to see as the Rulers and AB in a worse light because they have not only been the one to make them suffer but they've dragged on that suffering. (Haein has beef with them due to her realizing that all they done was give them powers before raiding their land and yet they call themselves protectors. Her hatred also extends to dead AB when she learns he only wanted to have fun and created the beasts to enjoy the massacre. If anything she starts having a newfound respect for the beasts she has killed so many times since both of them too are stuck to be nothing but bloodthirsty beasts when she has seen through a young Antares that they can and wished to at some point to be more than just killers. As for Antares having inferred the emotions and feelings that had been taken away from him long ago, starts having an overwhelming amount of them as he realizes what it is to loose someone again. He gets to feel—and he like absolutely hates it but can't do nothing about it— what it is like to grow up, to fall in love, to see that love die in front of you time and time and time again, what is is to see new and old people you know just be destroyed, new things and old forgotten and incinerated like it never mattered. He doesn't feel remose of his action but laughter that at the end of this war the only one who enjoys this win is no one else but a dead god. )

Once the 100th timeline is in order, Antares tweaks the deal a bit, he will still possess her body but it won't be until much later when Haein has gotten strong enough to maintain the small percentage of his power, just enough until he is fully reformed and ready to fight the Rulers who have the Cup of Reincarnation.

Unfortunately, Haein has met again a person whom she once loved, and is now in the front line of the enemy's side.

The Shadow Monarch Sung Jin-Woo.

And now this is the fun part. To Haein, Jinwoo is a companion, a partner, one who she loves unconditionally for all the timelines they have been through. To Antares, Ashborn was someone he trusted and wanted keep by his side forever, someone that had kept him from fully succumbing to the darkness he was born from but in the end was betrayed by him for the family that killed him. To the Destruction Monarch, The Shadow Monarch is and will always be the Greatest Fragment of Brilliant Light his enemy, someone made to kill him and someone to put an end to everything around them.

*See my vision please cuz now it becomes a reverse story of somehow the only thing that is keeping the new shadow Monarch from loosing all emotions and succumb to his own power is the literal darkness itself that has known very well what it is to be in the deepest parts of hell and has survived, and has been pushed by that past Shadow Monarch —*

*I've also planned to make Haein have a more Light based astethic. If anything she looks more like a pheonix than a being of darkness as a way to contrast how the greatest fragment is the darknest one*

As a True Asian, Sung Jinwoo turns a large section of Kat Kardashian's property into a vegetable garden. Fresh free (not that it's really free considering how much money goes into a gardening hobby) vegetables for the win! And as a spend thrifty Asian... he uses not pretty terracotta pots.

Nah.

He reuses large buckets from this and that time and turns it into planters. (You know those 5 gallon white buckets? Yes, like that.)

He's got a herb garden for unlimited scallions and chives. Kitchen scraps get composted. Everything that can be composted is composted.

(Beru enjoys flipping the compost to aerate it properly every week.)

Some Chulwoo omegaverse AU things because I am brainrotting

- differentiation to alphas and omegas was a result of outbreak. With appearance of mana in humans, they also started to change biology wise, but not all of them. There’s no real physical changes aside from pheromones and natural hierarchy structure. Surprisingly enough people know more about mana and dungeons than about this.. thing;

- with no surprise to anyone, S ranks also awaken as alphas, with no exception. Top A ranks sometimes awaken as alphas as well. Rest of humanity didn’t change and was deemed ‘betas’. I’m really rare cases one can awaken and awaken as omega as well, usually it’s lowest ranks simply because they lack mana to rise in natural hierarchy;

- despite jinwoo’s position as weakest hunter in existence, he’s at least lucky enough not to awaken as omega and instead stayed as a normal beta. After his ‘rebirth’ and double lair fiasco that status didn’t seemingly change but starts to the more he climbs ranks. He doesn’t even notice he became an alpha until someone who can smell pheromones (omegas and other alphas, betas literally cannot) pointed it out. They also pointed out that despite being a really strong alpha, jinwoo’s scent isn’t offensive or too strong like it usually happens with alphas, on contrary, it’s rather calming and neutral which is a rarity.

- jinchul, despite being top A rank, wasn’t awakened as an alpha and he’s really grateful for it. When S ranks or other A ranks use their offensive alpha pheromones to intimidate or submit him it doesn’t work because he simply can’t smell said pheromones. beta status makes him comfortable, since it’s less problems. Despite that however, some people (and even gunhee himself) mention that despite being a beta jinchul has faint pleasant smell, which probably helps him at managing especially rowdy people.

- with each passing meeting jinwoo starts to notice that jinchul started to smell differently to him, and he finds it pleasant, because unlike others’, jinchul’s smell isn’t offensive or intense. jinwoo has no idea that jinchul is in fact an ordinary beta and not an alpha as he thinks.

- jinwoo, who never was an alpha initially, doesn’t know alpha etiquette and thus has slight panic. Because apparently his brain starts to have stray thoughts and he’s more annoyed at other alpha’s behavior especially when it involves jinchul. gunhee is having too much fun seeing his second (disaster) son having a crisis over his alpha identity (and weird awkward unconscious attempts by to send courting signals to his right hand man). he takes pity on poor kid after some time and tells him that not only he been doing it awkwardly and wrongly, he also tells that jinchul wouldn’t been able to notice it anyway because he’s a simple beta.

- jinwoo having even more of a crisis upon realizing he’s been attempting to court jinchul without even realizing it. now on top of alpha panic he has gay panic as well. gunhee is having TOO much fun now.

- jinchul has some knowledge about behavior of both alphas and omegas but he also lacks full on knowledge so he legit has no idea when jinwoo starts to court him. he thinks jinwoo is simply trying to be nice to him due to their work.

- it’s all cute and awkward until jinwoo’s hit with his rut like a truck and he’s suffering because the instincts and urges are here but he can’t really do anything about it. what is worse he fears he may attack someone out of frustration or attack jinchul and he nearly screeches when gunhee apparently sends jinchul to his home. because jinchul have been dealing with alphas for years now and his faint calming scent is what acts as a sedative in emergency cases. so some pats and caressing from jinchul and Jinwoo is pretty much back to normal. Which is even worse for jinwoo because after jinchul leaves, this faint smell is left in his room and he’s dying from it.

- after tests turns out usual medication doesn’t work on jinwoo (due to his monarch status) so now it’s occasional sessions with jinchul. jinwoo is always dying out of awkwardness and embarrassment from it, jinchul doesn’t mind that much because honestly, it’s just some hours off sitting near jinwoo and reading a book or something with occasional pats.

- (jinwoo finally losing it and nearly attempts to bite jinchul because alpha behavior combined with monarch’s overall domineering tendencies overpowered. there was blood and fight and all jinwoo managed is to seriously mangle jinchul’s arm with his bites and teeth because that’s what jinchul was using to protect his neck)

As you can guess, I just caught up with your ARISE fics. And it'd be better to leave a comment for each of them separately, but sometimes I get scared of numbers bigger than 20. If you know what I mean.

It just felt right to read them all before saying anything.

It was such a pleasure to read those fics. Especially with Byunggyu and Jinwoo expressing their feelings through art, because both music and dancing are close to me. And I like that all of them are not focused on romantic relationship as such. Yeah, implications, implications are all there peppered over the storytelling, but nothing makes it under the spotlight. Rather paying attention to whatever comes before and surrounds it. Which makes it feel like yet to come, leaving you wanting to see more. Also the atmospheres of the fics are so different, yet they share that thread uniting them like they are perls of a necklace.

The stories felt like a single day, with Jinhae representing dawn or morning, Choibaek daytime or noon and Minlee dusk or evening. Funny thing that I read them backwards. Only (mid)night is missing, oh my—

Anyway.

I'm glad that you decided to write fics on this AU. With them and our fellow SL fans' posts, it really becomes a whole universe :3

Oh wow! You made such a nice symbolism! Honestly, that was unexpected, but I like seeing it that way. Yeah, they all share a thread not just the fact that they're in the same AU. I genuinely think that Jinhae is the first ship to form while the rest follow in a gradual blur. Friendship has always been the highlight whenever I write stories where it has romance, yet not officially implied, though the insinuations are palpable. It really shows that Jin-woo and Byung-gyu care about what they currently have with Hae-in and Ju-hee more than what they wished for.

ARISE ChoiBaek brainrot/fanfic idea (inspired by @manawari): Context (not needed but a personal headcanon): Choi Jongin and Baek Yoonho have done a lot of duet performances where they had to be close to each other to appeal to fans, and they subconsciously become used to being around each other. Yoonho's getting ready to perform but accidentally messes up his eye makeup shortly before the performance. The makeup artists are busy with Jinwoo and Byung-Gyu, Taegyu doesn't know how to do makeup, and when Jinchul tries to help him, Yoonho keeps flinching. The only person left he hasn't asked is Jongin. Yoonho picks up a makeup kit and goes to find Jongin, who is waiting in another room for the others. Yoonho reluctantly asks for his help, expecting Jongin to just say no, maybe laugh while doing so. Instead, Jongin quickly takes the kit and tells him to sit down since they don't have much time. As Jongin is fixing his makeup, Yoonho asks why he agreed so fast. It's the first time Jongin didn't mock him before saying anything else. At first, Jongin says it's because he would make the group look bad if he performed with a face that's more messed up than usual. Before Yoonho can comment on that, Jongin says that it's also because he knows he is the last person Yoonho would go to for something like this and that he must really need help if Yoonho's willing to ask him of all people for it. Yoonho doesn't know what to say to that and just looks at Jongin as he concentrates on fixing his eye makeup, gently holding Yoonho's face in place as he does so. When Jongin finishes and leaves to put the kit away, Yoonho notices that he didn't flinch at all when Jongin was fixing his makeup. (As much as I find their arguments funny, I'm a big fan of the rare soft moments between them) Might edit this later this wasn't supposed to be that long jsldkfljasdf This is the closest thing I've written to a fanfic
