The moment Changwook’s face popped up on the tv as he was drinking his cup of coffee sitting across the table from you the hosts of the show went wild. Apart from the fact that he looked like a million bucks even with his wild and out of control bedhead and was still trying to wake up, they were freaking out over your unannounced appearance. From the start of your relationship with the well-known actor, the two of you had tried and succeeded to keep your identity private and hidden. In fact, some people had the tendency to forget that he was even married until he casually mentioned you from time to time when talking about how you helped him prepare for different roles or, most recently at least, your three year old son who had begun providing him countless stories to tell that had people in stitches at his silly little antics.
Given that information, many were stunned yet equally excited at the announcement that he would be appearing on ‘The Return of Superman’ with his family - especially given the privacy that was clearly valued. Yet there sat the two of you giggling and looking equally tired as you chatted over those two cups of coffee one hand from each of you resting on the table, his thumb rubbing circles along the back of yours as he held it.
“I almost don’t want to go,” you admitted silently. “I feel guilty just leaving him.”
Changwook nodded as he understood your predicament. Since the birth of your son, you’d taken a backseat at the law firm you were a partner at. The both of you made the decision to raise your son as best as you could with the two of you around, even if it meant decreasing your caseload and him taking less roles than before.
“The two days will go by faster than you think,” he assured you. “You’ll be back home in no time.”
“It’s just, it’s the first time I’m leaving him alone with you for more than a few hours. What if he thinks I’m not going to come back? That I just got up and left?”
~~~
“It’s only natural to feel that way when you’re around your child all of the time,” one of the hosts sympathized. “She’s a good mom.”
The other host nodded, “My wife felt the same even after we had our youngest. It’s hard and one feels a lot of guilt when leaving their kids whether it’s to work or even for the show. I feel that way too.”
~~~
“He’s not going to think that,” Changwook said firmly. “He loves you and knows how much you love him. He also knows that you have a really important job that helps other people. Trust me.” he looked at the time displayed on the stove and let out a small sound. “You’ll be late for your flight if you don’t leave now. I know how much the meeting with the clients means to the firm. Go out there and kick some butt Attorney (y/l/n). And come back safely.”
His words seemed to help ease your worries as you finished the rest of your coffee before getting up and heading to your bedroom - the cameras also showing it for the first time revealing the still asleep figure of a small boy panned out like a starfish on the bed. You bent down placing a kiss on his forehead before hesitating to pull away, your hand caressing the plump skin of his chubby little cheek. Changwook was directly behind you, placing a reaffirming hand on your shoulder and squeezing it.
“Come on,” he whispered softly. “You’ll really be late.”
The two of you left the room with you sniffling slightly as you went to the front door of your home. You wiped away the tears before your husband pulled you into a tight hug pressing a kiss to the top of your head, pulling you closer by the second not wanting to let go before finally pulling away. Placing a sweet kiss to your lips, he whispered something inaudible to the countless cameras and mics before pulling away, seeing you off, before rushing back inside at the sound of your son calling out to both of you in a panicked tone.
~~~
Changwook sat in front of the cameras with his son clinging to him tightly as he continued sniffling from the nightmare that awoke him quite rudely. His small hand was clenched into a fist balling up the fabric of his shirt. Both of the boys wore similar bedheads. As best as he could, Changwook bowed, greeting the viewers.
“Hello I’m actor Ji Changwook and this is my three year old son Ji Subin,” he whispered for the little boy to wave at the camera only for him to turn away hiding his face in his father’s chest. “He’ll wave later…maybe…he’s quite the character as I believe you’ll come to find out.”
The writer asked a question to which he immediately smiled, “Ah, the wife. We’ve been married for a little over five years but have been together for seven. And as many people seem to have found out, she is a partner at a very prominent law firm in the city. As for when and how we met, that’s quite a controversial question for us. I argue that we met back in elementary school, second grade in Mr. Cho’s homeroom class, my wife would argue that we met eight years ago when she took a case for the company I was signed to at the time. She actually turned me down a few times in both instances when I asked if we could date - although dating as adults is much different than ‘dating’ as little kids.
“We actually discussed whether or not to join the show for a while before deciding to do so. While we were dating and more so after our son was born, we doubled down on keeping this part of our lives out of the limelight. We didn’t really want Subin to grow up with this spotlight on him at all times, but we’ve watched the show for a while now and even if it means giving up a bit of our privacy, we want to make memories with him and felt that coming on the show would not only allow us to, but also make sure that never lose the footage and watch it years from now.
“So yeah, thank you for the opportunity to be on the show and I hope you all enjoy seeing our family’s shenanigans.”
~~~
True to his word and Subin’s own reputation, everyone soon found out just how chaotic this little family of three could be. And it all began when the father son duo had decided to make lunch. Changwook knows he can’t hold a candle to your cooking skills - a given based on how much of the soup powder he dumped into a pot of cold water with the stove not having been turned on, followed by the soup burning because he didn’t stir it once he did turn on the stove, and the paper towel roll catching on fire while he listened to his Subin talk animatedly about the ‘case’ he was going to win - but he tries, even if has to end up ordering in because whatever he did end up making was not edible.
“Mommy’s taste better,” Subin replied with no hesitation when Changwook gave him a spoonful of the soup he’d made. “”Mommy makes good soup.”
Figuring that his son’s words meant it wasn’t too bad, Changwook took a bite and cringed at the taste, “Yeah, Mommy makes better soup. How about we have some bibimbap.”
It was easy enough to make and didn’t require much skill until it came to actually feeding the small boy who tried his hardest not to eat any of the vegetables in the bowl. He ate the fried egg first, followed by the meat that was mixed in with the other ingredients, and finally after eating no more than two spoonfuls of rice - that didn’t have a speck of green in it, he said he needed to go to the bathroom.
~~~
“Subin’s on what my wife calls the ‘white diet,’” Changwook explained, arms crossed over his chest as he spoke during the interview. “If he even sees a speck of green he won’t eat it. We’ve gotten better at introducing foods to him, but he still has an order that he goes in when eating foods he isn’t sure of. First he goes for the proteins and meats, then the grains, and before he gets to the vegetable he says he needs to use the bathroom. We’re slowly getting better though…”
~~~
“At least he got him to eat something,” the host complimented. “And by using food that is familiar to him to introduce new ingredients into his diet they are making progress.”
“Maybe we’ll see development in Subin’s palette during their time with us and Changwook’s cooking skills,” the other added with a chuckle.
“I hope we see some development. I don’t want to witness a kitchen bursting into flames again!”

how is the worst of evil? Was planning on watching it soon!
i really enjoyed it! the dynamic between junmo/seungho (ji changwook) and gicheol (wi hajoon) is everything of course. without giving too much away the setup is like - junmo descends into the underworld as seungho, knowing from the start he will betray gicheol; gicheol sees seungho as a lost brother-lover returned from the dead; and even as junmo/seungho betrays gicheol he gives up his body and soul for him. they are mirrors they are brothers they would die for each other they would kill each other. if you think of mitski's song "i'm your man" during every gicheol/seungho scene it will enhance the experience i promise.
as a heads up, there's as much bloody violence and cigarette smoking as you might imagine in a series about 90s korean gangsters. but there is symbolism in the blood and romance in the cigarettes (look at the hands).

ok i finally got to watch the finale of the worst of evil and i'm feeling....... conflicted?? i loved how dramatic it was but,,,, it didn't satisfy me all the way??? maybe i just need to sleep so my brain will start working again lol but idk idk idk. anyway,, what did you think about it? i'm always very very much interested in your opinion about media! <3
how insane was that finale. like, i genuinely cannot believe i perceived all of that today, like... what do you mean. what do you mean there won't be a new episode next week??? no more unhinged shenanigans on my television??? unacceptable. can't even begin to comprehend that. this is excessively long, so under the cut.
now, for my opinion on it... in general, i am actually satisfied. from the beginning, a few things were obvious and they followed through. considering gicheol's role in the show, as a literal drug trafficker, i expected him to die, and i was not surprised when or that he died; the moment he uttered that he wanted a normal life and leave the union, the writing was more than just on the wall. i was more surprised by how they handled that, because in a way i could have expected it but on the other hand, all the events leading up to gicheol's death were, just. fucking insane. especially if you look at junmo's and gicheol's relationship, which at the end of the day was the focal point of the show, just as much as the character of junmo. the scene in the car at the harbor was so loaded and i feel like in a way it was obvious but it still caught me off guard. by the time gicheol sat in the car and the entirety of gangnam union was busted without him? because junmo gave him an out, forced him into an out by literally handcuffing him to his car. (the fact that gicheol offered to drive for once? oh, mhm.) gave him needlessly cruel words to make sure gicheol wouldn't even think of following him out, wouldn't even try, because he had to be betrayed by junmo, one way or another. and junmo bound half of it to gicheol's future. he gave him the way to the normal life gicheol wanted, but gicheol couldn't take that out. his fatal flaw was the fact that he loves too much, and he knows that, too. he tells euijeong and junmo that, when he goes to confront them. and, god. that scene? of gicheol at their table, holding the wedding portrait? of the two people he loves the most? his first love and the man he gave his life to? that gave his life for him? insane.
i gotta say, i have almost no complaints in regards to junmo/gicheol. this show is a noir thriller/crime drama, not a bl or anything akin to it, and i think all things considered we got so much more than i would have imagined possible. this show got away with almost as much as, like. the devil judge. it was actually quite obvious and brazen in many ways, and only flimsily held together by the "junmo is married to euijeong and gicheol loves euijeong" framing, which i think was intentional, at points. the director also mentioned that half of the drama was basically written by ji changwook, so. thanks, king.
gicheol always had to die, but the fact that junmo spared him the sin of killing himself? that is fucking insane, if you ask me. hand in unlovable hand, in-fucking-deed. jcw's reaction (and acting) during that phone call was stunning. i think, it took gicheol to die for junmo to realize that he also has someone in his heart that he needs to protect. hence: leaving his wedding ring at gicheol's grave (next to euijeong's necklace; also signaling the end of his marriage for good while giving gicheol something of the woman they both loved), keeping the watch and wearing it while he gets his promotion. he was wearing it after he left the union, the entire time. insane-making!
there is another, more obvious queer reading i could be doing here, how gicheol always had to die because he was the most gay coded character, yes, including all the catholic guilt, and how junmo entering the union and meeting gicheol sort of signaled a shift in his relationship and everything surrounding it, as well. and how leaving the wedding ring signifies the fact that junmo knows he has changed, and that he accepts that. people reminded him constantly that he is a cop and he shouldn't forget it; junmo is a cop who wears that uniform like a costume at the end. anyways, lots more but i don't have the time for that.
i'm somewhat ambivalent on how they treated euijeong in the finale, i loved her character throughout the show, but she got the short end of the stick (also, as expected unfortunately). she is the other side of the coin and would have never been able to accept junmo's descent into violence and evil (and she did not, after all that is what their huge fight is all about), and ultimately won't forgive him for killing gicheol. on the other hand, she would have never given gicheol the love he wanted, or reciprocated his love the way she should have (in his eyes). she always loved junmo, she just could never love the man he became. we (the audience) knew that in the same moment she did, during the altercation with the chinese in episode 8 and 9. besides dohyung, she was the one character to keep junmo steady, and i kind of hate how that is, for the most part, all that she was reduced too; i would have loved to see more of her work as an actual police officer, and not just as a chess piece in this investigation. after all, she is ranked higher than her husband and it was introduced as one of the first conflicts in this show, but was only fuel for junmo taking the job. sigh. anyways.
i loved bibi in the show, and loved most of what haeryeon went through, i mean, besides the almost out of character infatuation with junmo. but, some things are there to drive a plot and serve a narrative purpose, and that was one of those major things. happy she got out of it alive, that she killed that fucking cop that has pissed me off since his appearance, and her scene after killing hwang mingoo, with her bodyguard or right hand man or whatever, was very touching and well done. served as a very nice mirror to the gicheol/junmo relationship. in this world, trust is devotion is love.
it is safe to say that junmo loved gicheol, btw. lol. makes me feel insane to even think about, and i genuinely feel like killing gicheol was the only way to get away with it. having junmo kill gicheol as a last act of love, because in their world love is violence? man. the implications are crazy!
i have manifested that meeting of dohyung and jongryeol since, like, episode 3 because they are the only two characters that are equal to each other. slayer one and slayer two. dohyung's death made me cry, but made narratively sense, because it added to junmo's desolation at the end (how they lied to him, brother, i crieddddd), fueled his disillusion with the police force (he was NOT happy at that promotion celebration), and put chief seo behind bars. glad he survived, by the way. a king that remains an absolute king until the end.
that said, some things were not as well done as i wish they could have been. the fade-outs in the final episode were a cheap choice to make a lot of headway plotwise in very litte time, and i think it could have been done tighter, and more graceful. in some ways, it rang a little hollow; as did the whole jungbae thing, and the hwang mingoo side plot. like, i understand that, in a way, it was to show that the noose has tightened and i absolutely appreciate the fact that this was all just to isolate junmo and gicheol and get them to spend their last days together (narratively), but... still. i would have preferred a little more sophistication, if i'm being honest. this drama could have used a full sixteen episode treatment, even at the breakneck speed it went along. especially because of that, maybe. noir doesn't only live off action but also off the thrill and the suspension of the genre, and at the end it felt a little rushed and somewhat cheap. the scene that lead to gicheol's death made up for it, though, because that was super solid.
i can't believe junmo never said why he let gicheol go. god. because he loved him! if he loved him less maybe he could talk about it more! with junmo words do not equal actions. he uses his words as his last line of defense, as a sort of smoke and mirrors kinda thing, but his actions speak differently. the things he does—like letting gicheol go, or crashing a fucking car to save him from getting arrested, or killing a hundred men for gicheol and euijeong—weigh more than the things he says, or tells himself. love that, because he was introduced as being all brawns, and works as an antithesis to gicheol and euijeong that way!
mhmmm, anything else to say? man, i still feel crazy. there is actually so fucking much to say. i can't believe we got that last shot of them walking down the street in slow motion, smiling at each other, smoking—a sign of respect and reverence connected to the reoccurring motif of junmo and gicheol lighting each other's cigarettes, + gicheol only ever lighting junmo's cigarette—and i think it was only earned due to the whole grave scene. we had to see junmo give up his marriage or else it would have had not the same impact. it was obvious, in a way, that euijeong and junmo could have never stayed together but i am still surprised they went through with that, considering kdramas in general.
other than that... idk. maybe i have more to add. all in all, i am satisfied. not necessarily happy, but i like what this drama did and while i am not super satisfied with the pacing of the big beats in the last episode, i can overall appreciate. i love the relationships they crafted in this show, and i am actually for once satisfied with how they dealt with the focal relationship. felt very much like it was love. well done.

note: it's a random scene from a list of random scenes i wrote when i watched the k2, last year. jungkook's name is jk instead of k2 and reader is choi yoojin, the madam. and moon byulyi is her secretary. chief min is chief joo, the boyguard's team's head - our guy from little princess, hehe:
You blinked, watching as the doorway to your room was slowly filled with a familiar, broad pair of shoulders in a suit. Your eyes met his unreadable ones, and you couldn't gather enough strength in yourself to mirror his blank face. You didn’t know what he read in your expressions, but whatever it was made his back straighten further, almost to the point of stiffening.
You looked around your room as he stepped in.
“Everyone… I need to have a few words with JK in private. Please give us a moment.”
You looked towards him to find him frowning hard at the floor.
Your husband, brother and Captain Kim walked out without question. Byulyi lingered, though, looking at you with furrowed brows. You raised an eyebrow at her.
“Madam, I—”
“Close the door on your way out, Chief Moon.”
Her shoulders stiffened, lips pursing into a straight line. She bowed her head, walking out without another word.
You sat up straighter when the door fell shut.
“How do you feel, madam?”
Your eyelashes fluttered, gaze leaving your comforter to land on Jungkook’s concerned face. His jaw was tightly clenched and forehead creased.
It suddenly hit you how none of your visitors, so far, had put up this particular question to you. Sure, they’d asked how you were doing, if you were okay, if anything hurt, if you needed anything, and more – but none of them had put up a question about how you felt.
And the first question out of Jungkook’s mouth was just that.
Of course it was.
You mustered a small smile. “How do you imagine?”
He cleared his throat, breaking eye-contact to stare at your heart monitor. “I… I have been told you are the type to not bleed even when shot, if you’re in public.”
A raucous laughter left you, leaving your head throbbing in its wake. You slowly shook your head at his words.
“Did Chief Min tell you this?”
He tucked his lower lip into his mouth, gaze meeting yours head-on. “Maybe.”
Your lips quirked up. “It was just something I said to him once when he was being paranoid about my well-being during a rough press conference. But…” You exhaled. “Of course that isn’t true, Jungkook. I am only human.”
Jungkook wordlessly stepped up to your bed, still looking at you with a face full of concern. “Had you not eaten?”
You chuckled. “Stop trying to diagnose me. The doctors have done enough of that. I’ll be fine, Jungkook.”
He came close enough for his warmth to be felt by you.
You looked away from him, focusing on your bed spread again. “Why are you here?”
He did not respond for a while, simply breathing next to you, making no other movements. And then he drew in a loud inhale, exhaling a sigh through his mouth.
“I am your bodyguard, madam, am I not?”
You gave a wry smile. Of course. “I did not need any more protection, Jungkook. My husband’s entire team of guards is here. Not to mention, Captain Kim, himself is guarding my door. I’m fully safe here, Jungkook.”
“I should’ve been there at the park.”
You clicked your tongue. “No, stop that. This wasn’t a threat, but a health emergency. What could you have done, huh?”
You looked up at him to find him pursing his lips and looking down at his shoes.
“Don’t worry. Everything is fine, now. I will probably be discharged by tomorrow morning.” You moved your gaze to look through the window on your other side. “You do not need to be here.”
Everything went silent. Even his breathing became so less audible, you wondered if he was holding it.
“I will take the post by your door. Send Captain Kim home.”
You internally scoffed at his demanding tone, but belatedly recalled your own conclusions from a while ago.
A wolf that can’t be tamed.
You exhaled. “I just said you do not need to—”
“I know I do not need to be here, madam,” he interrupted you with an unreadable stare, and you blinked in surprise when he immediately twisted on heels to walk away. “I will be posted by your door.”
Your breathing almost halted at his words, the unsaid ringing in your ears louder than bells. Even as he walked out and relayed to Captain Kim that you had ordered the Captain to go home. Even as your husband walked back in and told you of your brother’s departure. Even as your secretary looked at you with a disapproving stare—
I know I do not need to be here, madam.
But I want to be.

━━   𝐤𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐚𝐞𝐣𝐮𝐧𝐠
Let me tell you the story of one of our unfortunate residents who seems to be a SENIOR POLICE OFFICER on the island. Fate has assigned this individual guidance from the STRENGTH card. But they needn’t worry, their secrets are safe with me.
DOB: march 1st 1987 DEFINING TRAITS: Active, good listener, organized, opinionated, impatient, tactless RESEMBLES: actor ji changwook
YOU ARE PRESENTED WITH A PRISTINE DECK OF TAROT CARDS. TAKE YOUR PICK.
Daejung didn't normally dream, and yet, when he did, he was pretty sure it was nothing quite like this. A lone table sat in front of him, a deck of tarot cards face down and spread almost inviting him to reach forward and take one. Maybe this was a sign he needed to get more sleep. And while he was not usually a man who believed in such nonsense as fortune telling and psychics, he decided to play along. This was just a dream, after all. What was really the harm in indulging just a little bit?
With a hum he paused, scanning the cards lined out on the table in front of him. Then, slowly, he reached out, two fingers selecting one of the cards to the far right, flipping it over in his hand. For a moment he just stared at the image of the woman and the lion on the front of the card before his eyes glanced down to the name. Strength.
Strength sounded positive, he supposed, but it was not like he actually knew what it meant. Or that he cared. So, after just a moment longer, flipping the card in his hand a couple of times, Daejung simply scoffed before dropping the card to the side. This was all nonsense anyway, it was just a stupid dream.
THE CARD FLUTTERS TO YOUR FEET. WHO WERE YOU BEFORE THIS STORY BEGAN?
An athlete fallen from his prime.
Born in Daegu, he had parents who loved him, a stable home to come back to. Back in his childhood, Daejung put all of his energy into just one thing - taekwondo. He put years of his life into the sport, spending day and night training and spending hours in the gym to keep up with his fitness. And while he had his smarts and even good looks to fall back on, he never imagined he would need to. School was pretty much a breeze and he graduated with good grades and teachers singing his praises.
His whole life was just ready for the taking, but fate intervened.
An ACL injury swerved his life down a different course, less than a year before the 2008 Olympic Games and all of his dreams were trashed. It took nine months to recover and from then he has never gotten back to where he was. Daejung spiralled into depression over the next few years, barely finding the energy to actually leave the house most days. He simply spend most his time locked away wasting time playing video games or sleeping through the day. He barely ate, he barely even opened the curtains most days and lived in darkness.
After two near full years of moping about the place withering away, and with the constant worry from his parents and friends he hadn't pushed away, Daejung finally agreed to speak to the a therapist and start trying to turning his life around. He to at least try. This wasn't who he was. Not really.
It was slow going, but he was determined to try and change his life around. He knew he couldn't keep living like he was. He picked up his taekwondo again, started going back to the gym and actually making an effort with socializing. Though he knew he would never be a professional athlete again, and started looking for a job. Anything to get him out of the house, making him feel like he was normal again.
That was when an old school friend who was on the force suggested he try police work himself. He had the agility for it, and helping people every day might do him some good. And so, with nothing really to lose, Daejung decided he might as well give it a shot, passing the exam and training with flying colours. Though what he didn't expect that when he was done he wouldn't be working in Daegu.
Oh no, they decided to station him on Gwasuwon miles away from his parents, his friends, and any life he might have had. But this is just one more challenge and he's determined to face it.

I just finished watching the sound of magic and I still can’t figure out if I liked it all that much lol
Spoilers below
Funny thing is I didnt even read the description before watching it so all I knew was that it was that ji changwook played a magician in it (I watch a lot of his dramas so he gets recommended to me a lot on netflix). Anyway so first scene and I’m hooked. There’s magic and singing and like what I didn’t know this was a musical?! So anyway I freak out over the fact that they sing for the entire song but then when that finishes we move onto the plot. Now the plot was a bit confusing cuz like there’s this girl who is poor cuz her family’s in debt and he dad’s off running from collectors and so anyway she gets a part-time job. Then there’s magician guy who for some reason uses his magic (its like real magic or something, I don’t know they kind of explain it but apparently its only real in your imagination but your imagination is real or smthin idrk) to steal this girl’s money from said part-time job. He doesn’t really steal it but more like makes it fly away from her and lead her to him. Anyway so stuff happens. Then this other guy shows up. He’s her love interest I guess but that’s kind of forgotten half way through the story. There’s also this bully girl that we don’t like to much. The plot gets really confusing here cuz you don’t know whether to focus on the fact the the not-love-interest-love-interest is being forced by his family to do well in school even though he wants to be a magician now (he started learning from the magician with the mc) or about the fact that the mc keeps wanting to give up on magic and get more part-time jobs but the magician wants her to not let her inner child die or about the fact that the magician might have killed someone?! So anyway they burst out into more songs, magician isn’t guilty, not-love-interest-love-interest finally breaks free from his parents and gets to live the life he wants and mc continues to live a happier life thanks to the life lessons she got from some random magic guy on the street. Ok but while the plot was kinda confusing and not the best I loved the visuals like it was actually so pretty the way they did the magic and the dreams and everything was so entrancing to watch. I’m a little bummed out that in the end mc became a magician and a college student and continued to visit the abandoned amusement park (where the magician lived) but we didn’t get to see what happened to said magician or to not-love-interest-love-interest. I really like both of their stories and would have liked to see what happened to them too. Did the magician continue to preform? Did he settle down or go travel the world? Did not-love-interest-love-interest become a magician like he wanted to? Did he discover real magic like the magician? I would have really like to know but oh well. I think the last last scene was one of the best though. The whole cast came out onto this stage and they all sung a song while doing bows it really felt like you were at a theater watching a musical. Even though it wasn’t the best thing I’ve ever watch I had so much fun while watching and its not like it was bad so I would totally recommend!

Porém, a queda veio.

Airport Panic - Ji Changwook Imagine
Requested by @irishxgem: Hi, may I make a imagine request? You and Ji Changwook going on a romantic trip. When you two are going into the airport, you get a panic attack or something, with the amount of fans crowding around you two. Thanks! 😊❤️
Word Count: 852 words
Tumblr media
From the moment the two of you had left the house and were spotted by a few fans you should’ve known that it would be a complete disaster once you got to the airport. Changwook had assured you that he’d been careful when playing your romantic getaway. No one will even notice that the two of you had left, he had promised. It would be an easy arrival at the airport, a quick departure, and then the next two weeks would be all yours. No media. No dispatch. No saesaengs. Just the two of you in a quiet country enjoying uninterrupted time with one another.
The second he had made those promises you knew it was too good to be true - or even possible. Somehow you two were always found out. Always followed and not given any of the privacy or respect the two of you deserved as human beings. But it wouldn’t hurt to hope that maybe - just maybe - this time it would be true, even if deep down you knew it would more than likely have the same outcome as every other time.
“Maybe we should wait for more security to come,” you voiced looking at the crowd of fans that were not standing in front of the airport entrance - even more looking on from inside. “It’ll be safer.”
“We’ll miss our flight. We already got a late start after the run-in with the ones right as we left the house,” he reminded me as he pulled into a parking spot. “You’ve been looking forward to this trip since the day I told you about it. I don’t want anything to ruin it.”
Trip be damned, you wanted to say. I don’t want to be crowded by a lot of people and not be able to breathe.
Turning off the engine, he grabbed his face mask and put it on, “It’ll be fine. I won’t let anything happen to you.”
Getting out he quickly walked around the front of the car opening the door for you and helping you down from the truck before moving to grab your bags from the back. Taking them on his own, he used the hand that wasn’t occupied pulling the suitcase with the duffle bag resting a top of it to guide you gently towards the entrance. You found a little solace in the warmth from his hand resting at the small of your back, something grounding you in the reality that as long as he was there everything would be alright. The few security members that had been contracted for the time being created a small circle between the two of you as you walked.
“Changwook-” you muttered as you neared the entrance fans rushing at the two of you.
In an instant, you were surrounded, packed into the center of the mock mosh pit like sardines, all movement forward ceasing. Your back pressed firmly against Changwooks front, his arms doing the best they could to create some room for the two of you. The security team was struggling to stand their ground and create a path for you to get into the airport. The noise began to muffle and your breathing quickened significantly, your heart pounding against your rib cage, feeling like thunder rumbling over the land, lightning waiting to strike again. With a storm brewing in your chest, you froze, unable to focus on anything other than the panic that was quickly crawling from you.
“(y/n)?” Changwook called out to you, feeling you tense beneath his hand. “Hey, back off!”
The fans closest to him froze at the sudden yell that came from his lips. It gave the team enough of a moment to push back creating a large enough circle to keep walking. Changwook ushered you forward, doing his best to calm you down and search for a place where he could get you alone to give you a moment to settle down. He didn’t have to look for long before more security from inside the airport intervened allowing you two to pass through to the security checkpoint. Before continuing, he pulled you aside moving to a more secluded spot and cradling your face, forcing you to look at him.
“Breathe Baby,” he whispered, taking one hand and lifting yours, pressing it against his chest, which was moving in a continuous and steady motion. “Breathe.”
You tried your hardest to match your breathing with his. Taking deeper breaths and letting them out as slowly as you could whilst his thumb rubbed your cheekbone, eyes holding your gaze and refusing to look away. After some time, you managed to regain control and calm down long enough for the storm in your chest to stop and settle.
“You’re okay,” he whispered once you were calmed down, pulling you tightly against him, his cheek resting against your head. “I promise you’re okay.”
Forgetting the airport and the impending flight you allowed yourself to rest in his arms, taking in his comforting scent as your arms wrapped around his waist. You were okay. You would be okay as long as he was there.

I just can't imagine Gojo falling for someone else at this point. Seeing as how desperate he is to keep Y/N by his side. I mean sure he did a lot of bad things to Y/N back then and seeing as Y/N accepted him despite everything may seem like he got off easily but I still feel kinda bad. I mean he deserve what he's going through right now but Y/N and li'l munchkin are lowkey being collateral damage. That's gonna hurt him more than the fact that his image as CEO is ruined.
This is probably a dumb suggestion, but how about giving up the Gojo empire to Y/N's fam to prove that what's more important to him was his wife and not acquiring the Creston Group anymore?🤷🏻‍♀️ Though the company was technically his father's and not his entirely hmm 🤔
Anyway, I was already happy with how thing are doing during the clinic visit. They were so cute, then. 😔 but Eula has to drag her enemies, must've hurt her so much to see Yuuta against her, oh well-
I imagine Prosecutor Ian as some smart sexy hubby damn. He seem so fine during the trial scene. Then you just showed us a face claim! Whoa 🤩 Gen, girl, ya had this man chasing after you for years??? Dayuuuuum

it’s so sad that everyone thinks gojo will easily sleep (or be involved) with other women 😭 are we all reading the same story? now that he realizes that y/n is his life, i have a gut feeling my man will stay loyal until the very end.
for part two, i just hope gojo will be allowed to see the baby 😭 and be the father he’s always wished to be. that white haired man needs something good in his life.
Tumblr media
good point !! we don’t know what’s going through gojo’s head tho. let’s say if yn left him, what if it just makes him go back to his old ways 🤔 i don’t think yn’s family are interested in acquiring gojo’s business :(
also yesss ian is the loyal man that chased gen for years lol they’re both lucky (and ji changwook is so attractive sdjsj)
i agree tho that gojo should see the baby if they ever end up divorcing bc this man just wants to have his own happy family sigh. nana’s gone, his mom has remarried, yuuta will go to harvard, his dad’s basically paralyzed, he has no one left :<

♡ sweet sope ♡
love notes for my mutuals hi everyone, this past week has been full of extra love and wanted to share my appreciation, not just for this joyful community, but for the people who brighten up each day with their presence!
@blueandtaes - hi my sib, i love you. being in this fandom together is a godsend. through the weeping, the cackling, the impulse purchases, the city adventures and home dance parties, i’m so blessed to be doing it all with you.
@zmalik - sabrina shonaaaa you’re one of the first people i followed on this website (i legit think you were the second person after my sister), i dont know why you followed when you did since i was a chaotic mess back then but i am so so thankful that you did! i remember our early convos and i still fantasize about deshi food hangouts in the city, whether that’s yours or mine. you’re the kind of person who in many ways I aspire to be, because you say what’s on your mind without the fluff. I’ve been meaning to ask you why you hate ji changwook btw but I’ve been scared! one day let’s talk about it over chaa nastha? Love you, and sending all my affection to you and ur new kitten!! @yoonglet - hello angel aahana! I feel as though no matter how I try to word how I feel about you, it will always fall short. You are one of the most generous, strong-willed, friendly people I know. Your aura is bright and I am so honored to witness you, even if it’s through this limited window of armytumblr. thank you for believing in me, when I didn’t believe in myself! Your support means everything <3 @artsyjoons - anj! i distinctly remember an early convo we had where we were talking about namjoon doing an srk pose lmfao thank you for understanding what i was rambling about in the tags and initiating a convo with me! every morning i wake up and i see you enriching my feed with your thoughts, your humor, and your captivating energy! please share with me the secret to being so sweet and cool??  @rosebowl - my sweetheart Sharika, when I think about you honestly… I feel anxious and giddy! Because I wonder what luck I must have accidentally stumbled upon to find a desi army friend right here in New York, and that too someone who shares so many of my own values and interests!!?? Sounds like a dream, hope I never wake up! My adoration for you grows every day, please know that I am rooting for you and support you, just how you show up endlessly for all of us! Can’t wait for our future adventures xoxoxo @taefiore - hi my darling raabia! (I hope you’re resting and not stressing when you read this, but if you are stressed I hope this makes you smile) I feel like I have to thank run-on for bringing us together?? I have enjoyed every single one of our conversations and interactions, you’re easily one of the most clever and sweet people on this site! thank you for listening to my dreams, for all your kind/witty commentary on things I post, and for being an all-around incredible person! i know how hard you work and I hope your future is just as bright as you are, love you! @bibillyhillsbaby - lovely helena, are your legs tired? Cus you’re running through my mind oooooh! we’ve said this to each other many times, how fun it is to chat about shows, about our love for these men,™ and more! but have I told you about the times you’ve generated warmth and peace for my soul? your compassion has not gone unnoticed dear friend <3 you’ve made so many of us laugh and smile, lended kind words when we’ve needed them the most. I hope that when you see flowers and trees, you think of all our love blossoming for you!  @kithtaehyung - oh ryen! when you created the ‘still with you’ gfx you officially stole my heart! but then you went and kept it for good when you made the ‘magic shop’ gfx during a challenging time in my life. your empathy and your cheerfulness was a clearing for my foggy mind! you’re a stellar person and i get such a burst of joy when i see you on my feed. if i could handwrite notes for you everyday, i would! <3 @pinkjjoon - sara i can’t remember our first conversation, but i could’ve swore it had something to do with the term “namjaan” lmao! though we’re timezones apart, i am glad the internet brought us together cus i really need more desi army visibility! i appreciate your candidness, your humor, as well as your kind words during hard times. i hope bts gets their act together and holds a concert where you are cus you more than deserve it!  @hazeltae - allison, ive been trying to put to words why i feel so drawn to you and why you always make my day and i think it’s bc you’re a capricorn sun/pisces moon!!! no wonder you have this way of making people feel steady, held while also relating to them on an emotional level! i love talking to you about rj, about yoongi, about totally normal shopping habits <3 thank you for all that you are and for being such a sweetheart!  @gimbapchefs - hello nat!! even though we’re newer mutuals, there’s such a refreshing ease in our conversations that i truly appreciate! i find myself resonating with your thoughts and reactions, and cackling at things you reflect in the tags! i also admire your dedication to your studies, even when you get a little distracted ;) we need more people like you in the field, i’m so excited to see where your journey takes you!  @intronnevermind - hi raf! it’s such a pleasure to be connected here! we haven’t spoken much but your posts and content leave me with a great sense of joy/admiration! i am so impressed by your style and am looking forward to anything you create in the future. thank you for sharing sweet remarks about my amateur content and for being such a lovely part of this community! @ourownwings - wings :) i am so in awe of the creations you provide for the community and all the tender labor that goes into relaying the BU stories here! i can only imagine the time it takes to do that, but you’ve done above and beyond - and i’m so proud of your milestone! i was delighted to chat with your about your life outside tumblr, and wish you all the best in your future endeavors! thank you for being such a sweet, supportive presence in my orbit!  @jintae - padya, it’s likely you’ll see this if/when you return from your hiatus but you should know that i appreciate our exchanges and how excited i was to connect with another nyc bengali army! i hope you are taking care and finding enjoyment during your days <3 i think about your written piece about the impact bts has had on you as well as the publication you created for the community, and am so proud to know that you’ve spearheaded these meaningful spaces for others. i hope our bond can grow over time, universe-willing, and that you get every happiness you absolutely deserve!
to my lovely mutuals who amaze me every time with their creations & their talent, and have given me much laughter/much comfort, i am grateful for you. i have much warmth in my heart for you all and appreciate the conversations we’ve had about life, about bangtan, and anything in between. thank you for being here: @duckjinnie @ayosuuga @yoongisshadow @userjiminie @jinbestboy @mykrokosmos @marvelousbangtan @jimindelune @floraljimin @flowerseokjin @dinamitae @zhujieqiong @thegoddessly @kooseokss @dalbichigom @jinjagi @joonsrack

I just needed this song to be in this, because I feel like it needs to happen. Ji Chang Wook, from ‘Fabricated City’ as the wrongfully accused inmate and trying to make you believe what he really is. He had been accused of a murder he didn’t commit and when the world is against him, he hoped you weren’t.
Because “You can see right through me.”

Let me preface this with voice actors aren't paid enough, and accessibility is important to me, especially in and with popular media.
Idk if anyone has mentioned this, and at this point i'm a little too afraid to ask, but it has come to my attention that squid game is dubbed . . .
And it has just never occurred to me that you could dub a drama? Like some poor schmuck (and trust me, i've listened to this part and only this part, the guy did not know who he was dubbing at all) had to do voice over work of Gong Yoo.
I cannot imagine. Let alone the rest of the cast (who are all now big names, and some of whom were well known enough before), but Gong Yoo, whose only there for a bit part . . .
If you want more examples, I'm going to make a complete list based on the US Kdrama catalog on Netflix under the cut. Along with my first reactions of course!
A Korean Odyssey: Not in English, but Cha Seung Won in Spanish is pretty spectacular A Love So Beautiful: I guess I just find Spanish more charming. Or I can't tell how badly it fits because I don't it as well. Arthdal Chronicles: Song Joong Ki will be a theme here today. He sounds fine in Thai. Kim Jo Won sounds a little strange. Crash Landing Into You: The Hindi cast seems to be having fun! There are other options to watch as well. D.P.: First of all, please watch D.P in its full. Also, Netflix why? Why this drama? The translations are a little poor in my opinion. I was goign to say the voice actign is decent, but by the next scene, I changed my mind again. Extracurricular: If I don't look at the screen, the English acting hurts a little bit less. Hello Me!: Welcome back to Spanish. And this time I know more actors, and my brain is more confused. Hospital Playlist: And now it's hurting again . . . A lot of the voices don't fit for me It's Okay to not be Okay: So, these ones fit a bit better for me. But they still obviously don't fit the mouths. And at least they got someone with a deep voice for a deep voiced actor. And they aced some of the casting of the women. Itaewon Class: And we're back to a struggle, this time in Japanese! Kingdom: I'm not sure how I feel about the accents. Oh wait, I know how I feel: bad . . . pretty fucking bad. Also, there is no real English equivalent for the language difference that you have here between ancient and modern Korean Kingdom: Ashin of the North: the first was in English, this is too. And we are still doing the accents. Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce): And we are back to Spanish, and confusion Love Alarm: Dubbed over giggles hurt me just a little bit. So does romance just on the whole. Lovestruck in the City: Ha Jiwon and Kim Minseok and Ji Changwook are all . . . a lot. I will defend So Joo-yeon's dubber, just because she sounds adorable. Mad For Each Other: Yeah, idk at this point. They are all blending together, and the Thai (no English again) is sort of just flowing through me without making any impact. Man to Man: Good luck casting decent voices for any of these guys. Good fucking luck (Spanish here btw) Mine: it all just passes like a spring shower across my brain (this time in portugese) Move to Heaven: this just reminds me that I want to see this show. And also they decided to go hella young with the voice of Tang Joon Sang Mr. Sunshine: I wonder if Spanish can handle the period language any better than English? My First First Love: Boy we can't find anyone to handle the deep voices of some of these Korean actors huh? My Holo Love: I cannot handle Chansung in English here . . . or, surprisingly Choi Yeo Jin. My Only Love Song: Some more period Spanish for you, if that is a thing that you apparently need in your life. My Runway: This show is way too unknown to have a dub? Why does it have a Spanish dub? Navillera: I wouldn't expect Spanish and ballet to go together, but okay. Also watching someone get murdered at billiards is always great. Nevertheless: All the Spanish and Portuguese has no effect on me any more at this point. Record of Youth: For the first time, there are two Chinese options. Can I tell that there is a difference? Yes. Can I tell you what it is? Absolutely not. Run On: More options of romance in Spanish and Portuguese. I'm sure there is a joke here to be made about translators. Sisyphus: Here's that good confusing shit again! Park Shin Hye is acting her heart out, and the voice actress . . . is not totally failing, so that's a nice new change. Though I could see it getting worse. So Not Worth It: This is some meta shit. Native English speakers, speaking Korean, dubbed over in English. Also . . . Youngjae. That's all I will say. Start-up: We are back to Mandarin, but still feeling those same feelings. Stranger: Just Spanish, so lucky Spanish speakers I guess. Sweet Home: Horror is always best in it's original language. Fight me on it honestly. The King: Eternal Monarch: My dreams of Lee Minho in English are dashed, but at least there is Hindi! School
Nurse Files: This show is weird enough in Korean. I don't need to hear them say it in English too. Vagabond: If you didn't like Lee Seunggi in Spanish, then why not Portuguese, Thai, or Mandarin? Vincenzo: IN THE FIRST EPISODE SONG JOONG KI SPEAKS SPANISH AND THEY LEAVE THAT IN BUT DUB OVER ALL HIS KOREAN IN ENGLISH. WTF!!!!!!!
What a way to end y'all: confused and battered. I did this so you don't have to!

                    Ji Changwook, who is known by no other name;                                        a 33 year old son of Osiris.                                     He is the owner of Hardwired.
FC NAME/GROUP:  Ji Chang Wook , Actor CHARACTER NAME: N/A AGE/DATE OF BIRTH: July 5, 1987 PLACE OF BIRTH:  Seoul, SK OCCUPATION: Owner of Hardwired HEIGHT: 182 cm (6’0″) WEIGHT: 65 kg (143 lbs) DEFINING FEATURES: Missing his left arm completely due to using his powers. He wears a robotic prosthetic that he has enhanced for a variety of helpful and comedic reasons.
PERSONALITY: Changwook is highly intelligent when it comes to book smarts, having attended the best schools and being skilled in complex subjects. However, his brains are hidden with a barrage of silly jokes, aggravating puns, and the inability to take anything too serious. He spends a lot of his time playing video games and working on his wild range of gizmos that he thinks up. Off the bat, he is very outgoing, trying to pull a smile on anyone’s face even if he looks like a fool. Coming to the island, he plans to spoil his siblings with the best brotherly love available, picking up the role for many other lonely demigods/demigoddesses in need. Between his silly playfulness and his dumb attempts to cheer others up, he prides himself in being the best friend anyone could ask for.
HISTORY: Changwook was born to a sweet, lovable pre-school teacher and an always moving god who cared for him immensely. His mother made it her mission to provide Changwook the best life imaginable, and his father showered him in love, even if his visits were often nearly too short. The young child could not imagine a better life.
As he grew, his mother worked hard to start teaching him at a young age, and he excelled in school. Whether though his mother’s tutelage or his own smarts, Changwook blew to the top of his class, and his test scores drew great praise from his teachers. The young male found himself deeply in love with science, finally settling on pursuing a degree in technology. So, when he was offered a full ride scholarship to MIT, his mother sent him off with the happiest of wishes.
At MIT, he found a group of friends that help adjust him to the new country and convinced him to try his hand at hacking. It would not take long for him to excel at it, nearly to the point that he got himself in trouble with the sites he was able to get into. Plus, his mother was not too happy with him when he had hacked her bank account to send himself some money when he had ran out of his own funds for the month. From then on, he always remembered just to ask.
Once he finished his master’s degree, he found himself lost on what to do. He enjoyed the states, but the momma’s boy wanted to be near his mother. He, also, knew that he was starting to get on the radar of some local officials with some of his pranks that he played on their websites. Changwook returned to his mother, taking a developer job at a growing video game company.
Changwook will always remember how quick life is willing to steal happiness, and on a trip down to go the beach, he and his mother find themselves left in a mangled car surrounded by shatters of glass, the reeking stench of gas, and a sea of red. Changwook survives miraculously, but it is his mother that seems to meet the brunt of the damage. It is in the heat of the moment that he forgets to call his father, seeking to save his mother even despite his father’s warnings. It was the least he could do for the woman. So, in an exchange of life, his mother springs awake in horror, watching her son shriek as blood pour for his now missing arm.
He wakes up in the hospital, and even as he laid in the bed in pain, he can only joke with his parents. “It is merely a flesh wound” leaves his lips so many times to where it became a banned phrase in the home.  The journey to recovery was tough, though he put on a brave face through out the ordeal. In the end, he got himself a robotic prosthetic, which he used as a foundation to making much grander alterations to the arm.
Once he grew used to his new life, he returned to parts of his old life that he could, though he hid behind his video games and hacking tendencies. A few changed speeding tickets later, and the male knew he was in trouble. He had heard his father mention some town full of gods, and after stealing enough hugs from his mother, he escaped to hide away at the mysterious city.
PANTHEON: Egyptian CHILD OF:  Osiris POWERS: Changwook has the ability to resurrect everything from small animals to humans. Resurrecting animals takes a lot of his energy out of him, leaving him lethargic for the following days. Humans require much larger a sacrifice than his energy, and from resurrecting his mother, he lost his arm. STRENGTHS: Caring, Funny, Lovable WEAKNESSES: Too laidback, Mild Video Game addiction, Homebody
