hm. ok. perhaps I got too excited about the remake bapc episodes :(

ofc the animation is spectacular and the music still slaps… and I appreciate that they’ve now got a more consistent throughline w the warlock hands and puppycat’s backstory. but there’s SO much charm that’s been lost?? in the combining of episodes??

like… birthday/game was one of my all time favorite episodes of anything ever. to have the cloudworld assignment reduced to a montage (and separated from its original premise of bee’s bday episode!!) feels so wrong. same with the toning down of jellycube planet and even the cat bathhouse. those were both incredibly vital to the establishment and growth of bee and puppycat’s relationship!! it’s so hard to imagine how any new viewers could fully understand based on the weird little snippets we got…

also the cutting of so many iconic lines??? no “you took too long, now your candy’s gone”???? that’s like the one thing people make merch of over on redbubble 🥺 that quote!!!! there’s just so much of bee’s personality that got lost from the cutting of quotes… or scenes… like, THERE’S NO WATER BUBBLE DREAM SCENE ANYMORE????? i would’ve killed to see the water bubble dream reanimated in the Lazy in Space style 😭

whatever. this is the canon now I guess?? not to me, not in my heart. but it’s what we have.

Award-Winning Motion Work

- ADC 96th Annual Awards Winner: GOLD - GRAPHIS New Talent Annual 2018 Winner: 1st Prize, PLATINUM - GRAPHIS Design Annual 2018 Winner: SILVER

Created the opening titles of "Pixels Festival" showing a bunch of hexagon shapes composed of pixels, as they get separated and together moving back and forth based on 3D work.

-- Rendering Time: 7 Days.

And, the majestic concept and visual of the work show the high dignity of the festival. When it comes to the work reference(titles glitch effect), I got inspiration from the original Pixels Festival Opening which was created by Jellycube Studio, and Ricardo Pugin.

In terms of the title background music(credit), I carefully selected "City of Lonely Ghosts" performed by Segrey Cheremisinov in order to present magnificent atmosphere. And, for the logo I used it from the original one made by Pixels Festival.

Lastly, thanks to my school instructors Jung In Yun, and Jean Marco Ruesta.
