It's been a long time since Lancelot knew peace. It was never really a thing in his life, from trying to survive his father's tyranny to his mother's death to losing his brother to the prison system, there was no such thing as peace in Lancelot's life.

But that changed when Kiran came in.

Did she fix him? No, he did that himself. But did she give him a taste of what a normal, peaceful life feels like? Yes. And for that he was grateful.

Joou's Realisation

Both ocs belong to @insomniac-jay so please credit her! This takes place during their mission in Brazil.

"Yo, Splendor!"

Joou turned to see her assigned partner, Irefumi "Inkstain" Hitsugaya (or Irefumi, as they casually told her to call him when they first met) walking up to her.

She wasn't sure how she felt about Inkstain. It wasn't that he was incompetent. She could certainly admit he was far from useless, or sloppy. Joou wouldn't say it to their face, but they were strikingly handsome, with dark, curly hair, a lithe frame, and a teasing smile. It wasn't difficult to look at him at all. It was his relaxed, and flirty demeanor that put her off.

From the moment they met, Inkstain constantly joked, fooled around, and even flirted with Joou. It was his flirting that pissed her off. Joou was no stranger to other people's advances. As a teenager, she had to get used to looking away from lecherous gazes, and unwanted stares.

And then the incident with Nemuri...the whole reason she left for this mission in Brazil in the first place.

Inkstain was far from disrespectful, though. Most of his flirtatious comments were stupid pickup lines, or simple compliments on her beauty, with his signature smile..

Those remarks always made Joou's stomach do flips. That's why she was so put off. It was so frustrating how a simple word from Inkstain made her lose her composure entirely. Did he personally take joy in making her look like a fool?

Was Inkstain just toying with Joou?

What Joou hated the most was that she didn't entirely hate his compliments. He didn't just praise her looks; they also mentioned how well she fought, and her strategies. And his smile looked so genuine, and even cute whenever they delivered those pickup lines, it was hard to even be mad at them in the first place.

Did she even dislike Inkstain? Or did she just hate the way they made her feel? Like a bumbling idiot, who couldn't do more than huff and look away, and reprimand her partner whenever they flirted.

"Splendor?"

Inkstain's voice roused Joou from her thoughts.

"What is it?" She asked, internally wincing at how cold she sounded.

"So listen," Inkstain started. "I just wanted to apologise."

"What for?" Joou questioned.

"I feel like an idiot for not noticing it sooner," Joou's partner stated. "But I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."

"Uncomfortable with what?"

"You know," Inkstain rubbed the back of their neck, and suddenly looked very sheepish. "The- the flirting thing. I really didn't mean anything by it. I didn't mean to make you mad, or uncomfortable. I want us to get along for the rest of the mission, and I don't want to do anything that'd risk messing that up. So, I'm sorry."

Joou froze.

"I do really think you're beautiful, though," they continued. "And strong, and smart. I just- I guess I just ran my mouth, and didn't think about how you'd take it. Still, I hope you can forgive me," he finished.

"No."

Inkstain looked slightly hurt, but nodded, and began to turn away.

"YOU IDIOT", Joou thought to herself.

"Wait, no," Joou blurted out. "It isn't- I don't- no, I don't-" She took a deep breath, as Inkstain waited, slightly confused.

"I don't hate the flirting. I'm not mad, or uncomfortable." She managed, face hot.

Inkstain's lips began to curl into a soft smile. "You're sure?" they asked.

"I'm sure," Joou said. "I don't mind. If you wish to continue, that is you're business." She looked away, after catching a glimpse of Irefumi's grin.

"Now come on," she said, turning on her heel. "We have a briefing. I'd rather not be late."

Inkstain chuckled. "Lead the way, Splendor."

Appearance: Yukumo is a slender young woman of average height with light brown skin, dark brown hair (thank @calciumcryptid for brunette Mt. Lady agenda) and dark pink eyes. Her hair is always styled in a vintage way as she's fond of those kinds.

Quirk: Snow Bunny - Miyumi has rabbit features but can also create and manipulate ice. She has resistance to cold thanks to her powers.

Appearance: Miyumi is short and chubby with dark brown skin, curly white hair, and black eyes. She has rabbit features such as long ears and a fluffy tail. While she's on the heavier side, Miyumi is very fast and has strong legs.

Quirk: Hydropump - Tenzu has a series of pipes along his arms that can release powerful jets of water. He can use these jets to propel himself, especially when in water.

Appearance: Like many members of the Iida family, Tenzu has a tall, brawny frame. He has medium tanned skin, brown hair with streaks of dark blue, and red eyes. Like his father Tensei, Tenzu's engines are on his arms.

Hero Alias: Quiet Hero - Silencer

Quirk: Hush - Oboro can lower the volume or completely silence any noise around him, even from himself, by making eye contact with the source.

Appearance: Oboro is a mix of both his fathers with his pale skin, messy yellow hair, black eyes, and slim, slightly lanky figure. He wears a pair of round sunglasses that always seem to rest on the bridge of his nose.

Hero Alias: Melodic Hero - Sound Siren

Quirk: Harmonize - Kyoko can split her voice into different volumes that each have a different effect when heard. The louder volume can completely deactivate a person's Quirk for an hour while the lowest volume causes disorientation.

Appearance: In contrast to her brother, Kyoko has black hair, green eyes, and Hizashi's skin tone. Her appearance is more well kept as she tends to curl her hair and wears a bit of makeup from time to time.

I need to know Sakana's height. For research purposes.

Originally, I made Sakana the same height as Mizumi (5’5”/165cm). But then, I thought of making her a little taller than her little sister, like 5’6” or something. Right now, I’m currently deciding, but no matter what, she’s very shorter than Saizo.
