Need for Speed! After trying for a week to click this kinda picture, I finally got success. Read more to find out how I did it I'm learning photography. Few weeks ago I got to know how one can get that smooth motion blur in their pictures. On paper it seem so easy. You just have to decrease the shutter speed, plus you just have to move the camera keeping the subject in focus and voila you got that motion blur. Simple right? Wrong! When you decrease the shutter speed you've got to keep your hands stable. Or your picture will be completely blurred. See, the lesser you keep the shutter speed, the more will be the motion blur and the more would be the chance to get completely blurred image. So question is, if decreasing shutter speed results in completely blurred image but increasing shutter speed will result in zero motion blur. Then what to do? Here are my leanings: 1. Do not use live view mode. Use view finder this way you'll achieve focus faster. 2. If you have great camera that has so many AF points cool! But you got an entry level camera like me. I'd say select one autofucus point (center one preferred). 3. Keep shutter speed at least 1/100 or less. Here in this picture I kept it 1/100. 4.Lastly, try again and again and again. It's almost impossible to get a sharp shot in just one attempt that's why practice. I'd suggest first go through some YouTube videos about getting motion blur in pictures.
