His little setup was so adorable, that I just could not pass up the opportunity to snap pictures of it. This gentleman must be very well known, cause he and his little stand are all over Pinterest! If you know me, you know I love a magical birthday celebration. This year was no different, but one thing I knew I wanted was peace, tranquility, and positivity.

For years many people had told me of - how magical Bali was, how they returned from trips spiritually transformed, or how they choose to uproot their lives and become expats there. Despite all of this, I took what they said with a grain of salt. With all the exceptionally wonderful claims, I rather see it and experience it for myself, for me to believe it.

So when my birthday was coming around in July, I began to entertain the idea of visiting.

🌟𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐰 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞 :

🌿 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 - The peak season (July - August) is hot, everybody’s out, and the vibes are amazing

🌿 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 - The Balinese believe in Hindu - Dharmaism; a non-dogmatic, spiritual practice of worship, self-discovery, and personal fulfillment that embodies every aspect of their lives

🌿 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 - Your money can stretch extensively in Bali, especially if you are serious about budgeting

🌿 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 - You can easily get in and around towns via : moped 🏍️ , ride-hailing apps 🚖(ie. Grab taxi), taking the local bus 🚌 , hiring a driver, renting a car 🚗 , or even taking a regular taxi 🚕(ie. Bluebird). If you are really up for it, you can even walk🚶🏾‍♀️!

Looking back now, I can wholeheartedly say that I made a fantastic decision to visit when I did. Every single day I spent there had me beaming with joy.

So if Bali, Indonesia is on your bucket list, don’t sit on it. Go!
