one of my biggest pet peeves is how most digital art tutorial videos aren’t actually tutorials at all. its just the artist drawing and MAYBE talking about the fact that they’re Drawing Something

You click on a video called “HOW TO PAINT HAIR.” The thumbnail has beautifully rendered hair. You are inexperienced when it comes to rendering, and think this video may be useful. The video the artist says, ‘this is the brush i use :) for shadows i put a dark color on it :) then i add highlights sometimes :) thats how you paint hair!’

like bro you have not taught anybody anything. WHY are the shadows where they are. WHY are your highlights dispersed the way they are. WHY did you choose the colors you did. which way are you blending and why? how do you determine which edges you’re going to leave hard and which ones you’re going to leave soft, especially when there’s lack of contrast? talk about visible vs blended brush strokes! about back-painting! about things you learned as you went! about what NOT to do when you’re starting!!

It’s literally “How to draw an Owl. Step one: draw some circles. Step two: draw the rest of the fucking owl.”

Quick question for the incubus!Jaskier Lore. How did he and Geralt end up getting together? How does their relationship work or how has it developed over time?

very good question! Again, I haven't created a truly set au for him yet, but I do think if I do it'll be a lot like the current au we're playing with for them:

Jaskier assists with something Geralt needs, and asks what he can do for Jaskier in return. Jaskier asks for Geralt's medallion, and Geralt refuses, that's his MEDALLION ffs. They work out a deal instead where Geralt will semi-regularly return to Jaskier's den to sate him, he's offering him a free meal. Perfect for Jaskier to keep himself fed at times without worrying about perhaps being attacked or hunted. (it's a good deal for Geralt too given it being hard to fill his own sexual needs without having to give up coin for professional help, if you catch my drift) (gay Geralt rights)

It develops over the course of Geralt's visits as they get closer, as Geralt starts staying for a few days at a time, as Jaskier starts noticing he's impatiently awaiting Geralt's return, occasionally fasting between unintentionally because, well, he wants Geralt. Not to mention, Geralt's visits aren't very regular, as they both expected, given his work, and if Geralt turns up when Jaskier doesn't actually need to "eat," he will still just... stay. Keep him company for a bit, learn about his habits, his traditions, share his own. It's nice for him to know he has Geralt coming regardless, and that there's something in this for both of them that isn't just Jaskier needing to survive and Geralt just wanting his body.

On top of that, we've decided that inc/succubi have a sort of mating season (who doesn't like a good mating season/heat cycle for a hot monster am I right or am I right) in the spring where Jaskier's magic grows stronger and the control he has over it and his own neediness weakens drastically. I already told you how it feels when he gets hungry, the feeling of the phantom hands all over, touching, grabbing, pulling, hungering for him, it only feels worse then, feels so much more. He tends to hole away in his den for it, to at least attempt to protect himself, and when Geralt learns of it, he doesn't take advantage of the situation, he just. Posts up outside the den to make sure no one else does either, protects Jaskier in his most vulnerable state. Geralt does it because he is kind, because he truly does like Jaskier on top of having some form of love for him, even before he can admit it. And it makes it even easier for Jaskier, the sex demon who loves far too easy already, to fall so deeply for Geralt.

ok well there's an easy route here which im not going to take not only bc it's the easy route but also i don't think tomorrow i'll be you is a perfect song and that's fine that isn't why i like it.. so i would say if we're defining perfect as "i wouldn't change anything about it" then demolition lovers by mcr because i literally would not change a single thing about it. its like a beautiful journey that i go on where every part of it is so gorgeous + well placed + interesting that i just never get tired of listening to it <3

yesss this is going to be long bc im taking it as an excuse to go on abt how cool my sister is. i have a younger sister she is very cool <3 we r similar in appearance i guess? i don't really see it but people have mistaken us for twins even though im 2 years older and everyone always guesses that shes my sister.. she is paler than me and has darker hair and glasses and is also taller. also people always think she's the older brother and im the younger sister 😭😭 we also like similar music and are both autistic and lgbt 👍 and love maths computer science problem solving etc.. we are different in that she's a lot more introverted than me and has way less tolerance for the things that upset both of us.. like we both hate socialising, weird textures + sounds etc but ill put up with it while she just refuses and leaves which i honestly respect that she has the backbone to do that lmao. also she's way funnier than me and has more friends. one time she created an like.. mini twitter community for herself, there was like. her account a hater account a leaks account and an account that supported everything she did and she would like make them fight with each other it was honestly so funny😭😭 also she's a gamer which i simply am not. and we like to hit each other with sticks in the middle of the street. anyway i way overshared here but i love her a lot. i pray she never sees this lmfao

okay i'll bite. what in gods name is a tmnt bones crossover

IM SO GLAD YOU ASKED!

So Bones is a TV show from 2005 that ran until 2017 about a forensic anthropologist named Temperance Brennan and her FBI partner Agent Seeley Booth. Together with Dr. Brennan's team at the fictional Jeffersonian Museums forensics lab, they solve murder cases all across the DC/Virginia/New England area as well as other parts of the US. It's 12 seasons long and I won't bore you explaining the entire show.

ANYWAY basically it's my crossover between Bones and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

So far I've got Donnie as Dr. Brennan, Leo as Booth, Mikey as Angela (she's an artist who uses skulls and tissue markers to put faces to bodies who are otherwise unrecognizable), and Raph tentatively as either Cam (Forensic Pathologist and Coroner who's also the boss of the forensics team) or Hodgins (forensics expert with specialty in dirt, bugs, minerals, plants etc)

Also I've been toying with the idea of Shelldon as Zack (also a forensic anthropologist and Brennan's assistant) cuz it would be funny especially considering what happens to Zack in later seasons (don't want to spoil just in case) but I'm not married to the idea yet.

I haven't quite figured out where April, Splinter and some of the other characters fit in yet but! It's a work in progress!

There's like.. romantic subplots to the show since the Bones characters are largely unrelated but I've simply scrapped those in favor of the inherent hilarity of having all of your family work at the same crime lab.

It's mostly a loose idea that I like to visit for fun, so its not super concrete yet but someday.

Came across this scrolling Facebook and oh my God... Jaskier... JASKIERS FACE!! that last line, you know exactly what face he would make saying that to Geralt.

"So what are you then if not human?" Geralt asked slow, eyes narrowed in a way that made Jaskier feel naked and... ohh boy now wasn't that novel because Jask knows he's not shy, he'd gladly walk nude if allowed but... this was different.

"I'm uh... two halves.." He rambled unsure how to explain it because he wasn't a hundred percent sure too. "Two halves dragon."

Geralt raised his brows in disbelief, "Jask that's just a whole dragon..."

A near hysterical laugh escaped his lips at that, oh he said the same thing too. "You'd think so Geralt, YOUD REALLY THINK SO, but alas, my shit-shovelling luck struck the manure motherload cause no. No, two halves of dragon don't make a dragon."

All the hysterical bravado fell away, his shoulders slumped forward as he turned to face the fire. "No, it just makes me... a mistake."

Just some fics that popped up in my mind. So yea......

I want a Fic where Jaskier and Geralt somehow or other go back to Jaskiers home. I want it where most people treat Jaskier like shit and Geralt steadily notices everything. The snide comments, the gross looks, the disgust in their voice. Basically everything the Witchers get when they enter a town where people hate them. Then slowly Geralt does little things to comfort and support Jaskier. Like singing along to his songs or how shit the food is compare to Jaskiers famous stew. Then near the end Geralt just lets everything thing out and rips into everyone. Telling them how fucked up they are and how wonderdul, smart and brave Jaskier is.

"You People Are Blind! Or are you just right out stupid?" The witcher chuckled. "Probably both."

Then theres the other one where everyone is doubting Jaskiers bravery and new found self. Like everyone is in disbelief that Jask has taken down a ghoul or demon of sorts. Till something does happen and Geralt gets knock out. Everyone is screaming and trying to run. Jaskier is like I got this.

Everyone is telling him to just run and let the Witcher died. Then Jaskier save everyone either by some weilding luck that neither him or Geralt wish to mention. Or he beats the demon by rubbing two cinnamon sticks together at the rhythm of the nearest water source or some stupid shit like that. 😂😂😂

I would also to like to see one where everyone treats Jask like shit (kind of like how they do now) Then there's this big fight. Witchers and sorcerers fighting everything. Geralt is gravely injured and everyone is to far spread out to help but close enough to see and hear.

Jask covers Geralt with his own body to protect him from debris and fire. As people/creatures come near, Jask picks up Geralts sword and is now standing over Geralts limp body.

He tells them if they want him they would have to go through him first. Then jask rambles on because he knows he doesn't stand a chance.

"I am a nuisance to everyone I meet. I piss off or annoy anyone close to me. Everyone thinks I'm stupid and they are right. I'm stupid and worthless. Hell, most people just put up with me for sex or coin. My family disowned me, my friends pitty me and I'm pretty much a burden to anyone else. I may not be worth anything to anyone but this man means the world to me and I'll die for him. Right Here, Right Now! So come on then....." Jaskier lifts the blade to perfect stance. "Let's dance."

Then from there the others can see Jask taking on these random people/creatures. He surprisingly takes down the first few. Stuggles on one or two. Then takes on a few more till one of them strikes him down. Some of the Witchers try to race over to help. Jask still fights to protect Geralt by covering him with his own body. Hoping that would prolong the creature long enough for one of the brothers to come and help.

Everything turns black.....

After the battle and through recovery, Geralt finds out eveything that was said and happened. He watches over Jaskier and takes care of him. Understanding what happen and what his heart wants.
