So I Found Out Something Else on The Amino...

I didn't think that I'd be making a part two/update, but here we are. It won't be as long but once again I do not mean this out of hate. I just wanted to talk about something else else that happened on there. Once again, I will not be using names for this story to maintain a semblance of ambiguity.

So I was scrolling through the amino on laptop just curious to see what new things that happened, I found a message thread that happened a few days ago. It was a simple thing that said Cookie lets out a moan when he reaches floor 169 on YDKJ: The Ride (nice). Now, I don't know if this is true or not, but knowing how dirty some of the jokes were in the earlier games, I'd believe it.

I let out a chuckle, and scroll down to the comments to see what everyone else says. And, oh boy, not a lot of people agree with me. There are quite a few comments asking them to take the post down, and there's one person in particular who got really, really offended, saying "Begone with this info! This is disgusting and inappropriate!" "Oh no..." I mumble to myself, scrolling through more posts. I find another post of the person who got really offended saying how they were a minor and how they don't appreciate the NSFW content. "Oh god no...." I mumbled covering my mouth at this.

Now, here's the deal. If you're a minor and you don't appreciate nsfw jokes, that's fine. No really, it's fine. However, you have to understand what amino you're apart of. It's Jackbox, Jackbox has some pretty dirty jokes at the end of the day, even worse than the moaning quote. Off the top of my head, Cookie asked a question mentioning porn in YDKJ 2015, and [Redacted] says and I quote, "Nothing like a good fingering." in Trivia Murder Party. He also made a joke about Pegging and how wrong it sounds when he says it aloud. It's not an entirely kid friendly game and you have to accept that there will be dirty jokes. It's like playing League of Legends and telling someone that they should stop bullying you because it hurts your feelings. At the end of the day, you have to understand that if something has dirty jokes, you can't force people not to tell them and bring them up in a fan server.

That's my peace for the day, and I guess my technical words of wisdom. If I see something else I don't like or feel like can change, I'll comment about it, but I'm done for the day.

My Thoughts and Criticism on the Jackbox Amino

Hi. First things first, this is not a hate message. I just want to discuss some issues that I see on the Jackbox amino on the regular. I'm not gonna list any names of the OC's or of the group of people who can be a tiny bit of trouble, but if you do know who the individuals are then please do not witch hunt them or harass them. I don't wish that on anybody, and I would just like to get some of the problems I see in the fandom off my chest. If you wish to comment on this post to further increase discussion, then I'm all for it. I'm open to any ideas or criticism not only for the Jackbox fandom, but my post as well. But, here goes nothing.

I go on the Jackbox amino as a guest a lot. I'm not a member because I don't use amino, but from what I see, it's a pretty well-knit community. I also like how it gives a sense of familiarity to all of it's members. However, every community and fandom has it's flaws and I'm going to be discussing some of those today. Please keep in mind that I do like the fandom and it's members, but every community is open for criticism.

The first thing that I see that I'm not particularly a fan of is the OC worship. Now, if you make an OC, that is perfectly fine. All OC's are great, but you have to learn when to not cross the line with them. I'm talking in grounds of OC worship. If everyone worships your OC like they're a canon character, it can really turn people away from the fandom. At the end of the day, you have to understand your OC is just that, an OC, and try to stay away from forcing others to accept your character into the fandom.

That point particularly ties in well with my next point; ship hate. Ladies and gentlemen, at the end of the day, all ships are valid. Some might like more ships than others but every ship is valid to an extent. If someone doesn't agree with your ship, don't get angry and say why you don't like their ship. Or, don't draw hate fanart of your OC killing a member in the ship (making a drawing of your oc apologizing to the characters and not the person in question is still not a valid apology in my opinion, but at the end of the day, you do you.)

The Jackbox fandom is, once again, a really great and well-knit community, but it has its flaws. I really want to see this fandom grow, but we have fix our weak points and improve ourselves at the end of the day.
