One year ago today, the sun came out followed by two double rainbows 🌈 🌈 on the drive home from the hospital: mama had breathed her last breath in Mother Earth as Lynne Marie Jeannette Bernier Powlik. Tina Turner said it best, mama, you were and continue to be #simplythebest❤️. Ironically I was at the hospital this morning for a pulmonary function test. As it runs in the family with you and your mom, I thought to get checked out. My lungs are good for now! The respiratory tech and are serendipitously similar: we both studied anthropology, both into fitness (she did yoga training - in Greece — she verified it’s weird there, I told her about Roxanne; I’ve got my personal training, running, cycling, hiking, TRX, vball, softball - she said I should box again); she loves music but can’t sing (she said I should look into music therapy, I said I have), both lived and loved living in north van, and.. when she saw my golden eagle 🦅 feather 🪶 tattoo, she showed me her Sparrow Hawk tattoo (I told her about your song sparrow visits). Miss you sweet mama, more than feels bearable some days. Dad and I are keeping busy and he comes to Mexico too, but you know this. Love you beyond words or the body can contain.
