This is the first time I’ve ever posted head-cannons or anything but I’ve had this idea running around in my head all day so here’s some head-cannons for The brothers of sins/more masc siblings uniforms.

Brothers/Siblings of sin uniform hc

My hcs for the brothers/masc siblings of sin uniforms would very much look like a catholic priest’s, much like how the ladies habits are a bit like a nuns

Black shoes and pants, as well as a priests black shirt and collar (maybe the black shirt would have gold buttons to tie in with honouring the colours of Copia, Or dark purple buttons to honour Terzo?)

The colour of their collar would be the colour of the reigning Papa at the time, so navy for Papa IV. Also with a black or maybe gold grucifix in the middle. (Yknow Papa IV’s more pointed gold grucifix? Yea you get the vibe)

But possibly if a sibling/brother worked closely or was one of the older papas s/o they’d be allowed to wear a collar the same colour as their respective Papa (example: a sibling that’s worked as Primos garden helper since he was in reign may be permitted to wear a red collar, A brother that was Secondo’s personal assistant may wear a green collar and so on)

Their black pants could have a grucifix on the side of one of their pant legs aswell, but tbh I feel like that might be a bit too flashy.

For the most part I feel they’d be expected to wear dressy shoes or boots for rituals/special occasions but be aloud to wear whatever kind of shoes any other time with exceptions, like if a sibling wore doc martens or combat boots(maybe even platforms) that would be totally acceptable but say if a brother pulled up to latin class in crocs Secondo might tsk and chew him out a bit.

I also feel like either suspenders or a belt would go with all that, maybe a particularly devout sibling may wear a black or navy belt with gold buckle with Papa IVs grucifix Engraved into it, but I don’t think it would be mandatory, a simple black belt would be fine too.

Anyway that’s all I got in the thinker, I was actually super nervous to post this but yknow what you only live once so 🤷‍♂️. I also have a terrible fashion sense and don’t know how to dress myself on the regular so if any of these seem like they’d clash or just not look good I’m so sorry😂. I’m totally open to opinions though, and if anyone wanted to adopt these hcs that’s awesome! I’m shit at drawing and have no digital stuff to make art with, or know how to use photoshop or else I would’ve tried to come up with some sort of something. so you’ll just have to use your ✨imagination✨. the way i have a whole rant flitting through my head but every time i try to write it down i just come up with mismatched and jumbled sentences that dont make sense and dont accurately describe the things im thinking :/

i love coming back from a nice, relaxing and fun holiday w my sister and her bf and then the minute i get home and sit down, im deflated. like within minutes ive completely forgotten about how enjoyable the trip was and how much i laughed and how i want to do some of those things again. nope. im just depressed again all of a sudden.

i just go right back to making my gifs and watching my videos and doom scrolling, just wishing i could maintain that happiness for longer than the fleeting moments when i am actually doing something fun. the rest of your life isnt supposed to feel so empty and lost.

i dread going to sleep. i dread the days passing. i dread going back to work in another week and a bit. i want to hang out with my irl friends but im sick of messaging them first. i want to talk to my online friends on the phone but im still anxious about asking. i know people are busy. i try to go places alone but it just gets so boring and lonely when youre alone with your thoughts for so long.

i hang out with my sister and her bf and i want to be part of that. i am part of that most of the time. she pouts when i complain about not having someone to go with to a place and asks why dont i just take her. he comes to me when she’s busy and talks to me and shows interest in my stuff. they are my family and i love them and soon we will be living together and i look forward to that. but when they are at his place for a few nights a week, when i dont see either of them for two days in a row, i feel so empty and alone. when they are around and not talking to me, im fine, but if theyre not around at all, i just sort of. exist here. i sit here and i make my gifs and watch my videos and scroll and scroll and scroll--

i feel like ive done absolutely nothing in the last 10 hours since we got back from our trip. i read some fic. it was entertaining and enjoyable in the moment. i ate some food. i missed my mother’s cooking. it tasted really good. i rewatched an episode of stranger things with my parents. i hated it all over again. i had a drink with this new turkish delight mixer thing i found and bought yesterday. it was nice. i encoded a few gifs and opened them in photoshop, but they’ve just been sitting there for like. two hours. uncoloured, unsharpened, uncaptioned. i cant be bothered making this set anymore.

i’ve been wanting so desparately to write fic again recently. i just have zero fucking motivation to even go looking for prompt ideas or anything, let alone actually opening a google doc and writing actual sentences down.

i’m so.... ugh.....

when i am not actively doing something, i just sit here and. feel nothing. something to talk about with the doctor in a few weeks i guess. sigh.

Animating in After Effects

Over the past couple of days, Ive been attempting to compile all drawn and 2D animated elements in after effects. This is a software I am relatively new to, and required a lot of YouTube and online tutorials to accomplish what I was after, however I think the effect is really effective. 

There are two main scenes/ shots I should go over from this video, about how I’ve created and what should still be left to improve;

SCENE 2 - First look inside For sake of linearity, ill start with this as its what i out most time into, and equally what I worked on first. This was actually relatively simple, as a lot of planning and components had already been figured out prior. I always knew of how compositionally, the buildings would move and prior to after effects had drafted quickly and roughly in photoshop using tween options.

I looked into using the 3D camera in after effects, as I previously had seen this almost twisting camera motion, that rotates the camera as it moves in. This I felt would work well with the two buildings on side moving out of shot. I also liked the vertical parallax effect that the mid ground and background had when moved at separate rates. The thing I especially liked about the 3D camera however was how I could separate different layers to be attached to the camera, or change the plane/heirarchy etc, this allowed certain things to be moved very easily.

By playing the animations, and having the automated zoom effects, the whole intro sequence felt too clean and automated. And so I added some blur and soft blue gradients that moved along with the foreground buildings. This felt like it was entering inside, and compiled it nicely with the forward movements. 

SCENE 1 - Outside the festival This shot was a lot tricker, as it was essentially just the building illustration and a separated foreground. I managed to construct the prior scene a lot easier I knew going in exactly what I was after, however in this scene - the camera movement of going upwards, reaching the top of the building felt too clean and amateurish. This meant that I needed to work on two key areas. The main element, the foreground felt too static, as I moved it down with keyframes, the pieces felt like they were moved in automation, and was weird to look at - there was no ‘human touch’ to it. 

To combat this, I added a quickly drafted animation of leaves and foliage in the foreground. Opening away, as the camera moved forward. This created a nice balance of movement from all angles, and didn't cause too much chaos. The balance of 2d animation and 3d movement, eased the eye. If either element were done the same way together, it would run into the same print problems, but because of squash and stretch style quick movements it created an easy solution, without having to construct an extra scene. The other fix, was by moving the 3D camera in a curved upwards motion - causing the camera to be  from someones perspective, still acting on the ground. It helped show the camera not as some sentient being flying upwards and made the movement more natural.

sans IS gaster (OR the sans theory masterpost pt. 2)

Previously, we discussed: Sans and his hand in the destruction of a world, his connection to Ice-E and Deltarune, and how he relates to Gaster. We’re going to continue the thread we left off on.

Section III - Gaster (Cont.)

Snails are mentioned too many times throughout Undertale for them to not be of any significance. As it turns out, they are pretty important in unraveling the mystery behind Gaster and Sans.

When you enter the area with Napstablook’s snail farm, you’ll notice that Sans’s theme is playing despite him not making an appearance. 

In one of Papyrus’s phone calls, he mentions that Sans recently bought snail-shaped pasta and says “He’ll probably fill them with hotdogs and slime.” Toriel also owns a book called “72 User for Snails”. Track 72 in the Undertale OST is “Song That Might Play When You Fight Sans”. That’s multiple times that Sans is likened to snails. 

Snails belong under the taxonomic class Gastropoda. Gasterpods.

These long pauses between words and phrases are not unlike how Gaster speaks.

Here is Gaster speaking with us in the opening sequence of Deltarune. And...

Now. Let’s move on.

Mus_smile is the track that plays in room_gaster. This is my personal opinion, but the character that is the most strongly associated with smiles is Sans.

And Sans is certainly intelligent enough to be the prime suspect for being Gaster. The proper name for his namesake is Comic Sans Microsoft, or Comic Sans MS. MS can also be used as a suffix for the name of a person who has a degree in a Master of Science.

Sans also owns quantum physics books. The subject of Gaster’s scientific research is revealed in Entry #17: “photon readings negative”. Photons are described as a "quantum" of electromagnetic energy, and are of course within the realm of study under quantum physics.

Gaster, like Sans, is brilliant yet slow-working. Slower than Alphys, who is repeatedly noted to have nothing to show yet as the royal scientist in the eyes of the people and is shown to slack off constantly.

Gaster is implied to have perished, and I suppose he did, in a way, if these speculations do end up being correct. However, there’s something more to this statement. Ghosts are sort of in the realm of being not-alive, and Sans and Napstablook have a surprising level of comparability.

They both:

Get likened to “garbage”

Have connections to snails (Napstablook runs the snail farm)

Speak completely in lower case

Pretend to sleep and say “Z’s” out loud

Have black “sclera”

And the black sclera is also a topic of its own; it’s equated with the status of being brought back to life. Being “determined”. (See: Asriel and Undyne)

Undyne is especially suspect due to the strange right-eye-phenomenon she has in common with Sans, with spears shooting out of hers. Spears that are actually colored light blue, not unlike Sans’s eye. 

To recap: 

Sans and Gaster are heavily involved in Deltarune

They have been displaced from time and space

They have connections to snails

They are both doctors with knowledge in quantum physics

They both “fell” into the abyss

They both talk similarly

They are both slow

They are both characterized by their smile

They are both some degree of dead

Sans is Gaster or a significant piece of him. Sans has Gaster Blasters because they belong to him. If all prior conjecture proves true, he is and will be responsible for the destruction of a world or THE world within Deltarune. After all, the Latin definitions of “gaster” and “sans” are to destroy and to be without, respectively. 

That brings us to the next subject: why is Sans Sans? More specifically, why is that his name? Why even change his name?

Below is the Japanese version of the fun event with Sans’s phone call. It features completely different dialogue from its English counterpart. 

Am I Licca-chan? (Select No) Then from now on call me Sans. I need to check every once in a while. I won’t know when my name has changed. 

“Licca-chan” is a well-known Barbie-esque dress-up doll in Japan, so popular to the point where it is even used as a synonym for other dolls from different companies. Perhaps it implies that Sans is adaptable due to Licca-chan’s nature as a doll and how she is in a constant state of change to reflect the times. It also seems to be a pun on “liquor” because Sans was talking about beer in the English version. I tried to scour the Japanese fandom for clues, but they also seemed stumped. If anyone has any ideas on what this could mean, please let me know!

Regardless, “Sans” doesn’t seem to be his actual name. Perhaps his true name was Gaster...?

Additionally, If the player changes the name of the fallen child via going into the code, this message appears in the stats menu. The vernacular is very Sans-like, with his frequent use of question tags at the end of his sentences (I counted 14 huh’s from Sans).

Finally, let’s talk about the number six. We know that it’s Gaster’s number--All of the explicitly Gaster-related fun events trigger for fun values in the sixties, Gaster’s stats are all comprised of 6′s, Gaster’s “typer-value” is 666--you get the idea.

The concept art Toby drew for the Alarm Clock’s character screen features what is presumably Sans and the number six.

“The Choice”--the track that plays during Sans’s judgements--is “Undertale” slowed down by 666%.

Section IV - Angels and Demons (The “Why”)

In modern day culture, 666 is closely associated with the devil. The Book of Revelation (13:17-18) asserts that 666 is “the number of a man” (this is important, and we’ll come back to it later) and is “the number of the Beast”. The Beast is mentioned as “coming out of the abyss”. 

Sounds a lot like someone else we know, doesn’t it? And how fitting for Sans, the one who judges our sins and demands us “to burn in hell”.

But if we go further, the Beast of Revelation is described to have seven heads representing seven kings. The beast itself is an eighth king who is of the seven and "was and is not and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition." 

Chara is an eighth of the seven fallen children. 

There’s something Chara, Sans, and Gaster all share, and it’s their association with demons.

Here is an excerpt from the Cutting Room Floor:

Among the four strings in version 1.0, the last one, designated by variable “demond”, stands out for two reasons. 

 The letter “d” is separate from the other letters denoting the demon variables--the rest, “x”, “y”, and “z” are in sequential alphabet order.

The speech pattern of the last string is different from the others. It has that signature question tag at the end of the sentence that a certain character is known for.

In version 1.001, the strings clearly reflect Chara’s speech pattern. This time, all the variables are in sequential order from “a” to “d”. 

Pieces of dialogue at the near-end of a genocide route from Chara and Sans. Recall that Chara is using the same “Now” from earlier with Gaster and Sans.

Chara makes a reference to Banana Yoshimoto's book “Kitchen”. Take note of the page number.

Chara is also linked to the number nine. It’s the highest achievable stat in-game. It’s the stat of the locket and real knife. It’s how much damage Chara deals. It’s also the number six flipped upside down. 

The connections are undeniable. 

And yet, it goes further. Let’s take a look at how Christmas comes in to play.

In Deltarune, there are a few references to it, the most foremost probably being the importance of Noelle Holiday as a character. We also get Lancer’s laugh and the joke with “Krismas”.

Back to Undertale, there is significant Christmas iconography represented by “Gyfmas” and Gyftrot (bearing a strong resemblance to Photoshop Flowey, the DT Extractor, and Gaster Blasters).

What I’d like to focus on is Santa.  Papyrus describes him as “a chubby, smiling man who loves to surprise people.” From the thank you note addressed to Santa we find in Sans’s room, we can assume that Sans is a Santa, at least to Papyrus. It’s pretty fitting, since Sans can be described as someone who “knows if [we’ve] been bad or good”. Maybe he can even tell if we’re sleeping or awake with how the Dark World appears to be linked with sleep and dreams (please read my theory on Sans being a Darkner for more on this).

So we can reasonably conclude that Sans presents himself as a friendly, child-oriented figure, in-line with the nature of Comic Sans, a font for children, and Ice-E, a mascot of a company marketed towards children.

Santa is an anagram of Satan. 

…

To recap: Gaster’s association with the number 666 marks him as a “demon”. Chara and Sans are also called demons and similarly have connections to the number 6. This is more evidence that Gaster and Sans is or used to be the same people, and Chara has some form of correspondence with them.

I failed to mention before that there is actually a second Beast of Revelation “from the Earth” with "two horns like a lamb”. From the “earth” like Flowey, with horns like Asriel. 

Asriel is most likely the “Angel” depicted in the prophecy within the scope of Undertale; he’s named similarly to Azrael, an angel of death, and one of his attacks is literally called “Angel of Death”. He also bears a striking resemblance to the Deltarune in his God of Hyperdeath form.

Surprise, surprise, he and Sans also share parallels. 

Let’s start with their introductions. “Flowey the flower”. “Sans the skeleton”. It’s a similarly alliterative greeting and they’re both using fake names.

Mirrored dialogue yet again...

…and similar meta-commentary.

These three characters--Sans/Gaster, Chara, and Flowey/Asriel--they have all fallen. Gaster fell into his creation. Chara fell into the Underground. Asriel had “fallen down”. (Sans and Papyrus are also the only sibling pair other than Chara and Asriel. I won’t talk about Papyrus in this part though because this thing is shaping up to be too long already.)

What does this mean for Sans? I have a personal theory.

Above the entryway of the Judgement Hall, there is a reversed Deltarune. The triangles are inverted and the wings are more bat-like. In the room where only Sans appears, the same room that plays a version of “Undertale” slowed down 666%.

I think Sans is a candidate for the Angel prophesized to destroy the world in Deltarune. I think he is Sans Serif, a seraph. He fell into his experiment and became a “fallen” angel, a demon. 

The Angel’s Heaven mentioned alongside, on the other hand...  Heaven can also be used to refer to God. Dog is an anagram of God. 

Sans has many, many connections with dogs, especially one Annoying Dog. More on this next time.

I don’t think anything about movies hurts me more than Andrew Garfield having the third Spider-Man movie and a part in the MCU ripped out from under him. He loved Peter so much, he had such big ideas and dreams for the franchise and I just 🥺 Andrew deserves to be in the MCU, god fucking damn it. Retcon everything, refilm Avengers (2012) but Peter stumbles onto the battle of New York on his way home and he helps the Avengers win. Loki tries to mind control him and Pete just laughs in his face and then breaks Loki’s nose. He doesn’t join them for shawarma, but Steve does show up to his school to explain why Peter was late for his final.

Tiny baby pete showing up in iron man 3 to call Tony a fucking idiot and save him from himself and drive him to therapy and he shows Gwen Tony’s plan for taking the arc reactor out and in twenty minutes they’re like “lol yeah we can fix this in an afternoon, no problem grandpa.” And Tony wants to be livid but the science is sound and that damn Gwen Stacy is just so smart, and he’s really gonna trust a college student with this, isn’t he?

Tell me andrews Peter Parker wouldn’t have followed Natasha after civil war and shown up at her trailer and been like, “hey, there’s a bad guy following you, thought you should know. Ohhh, is that caviar? I’ll take that. Thanks nat! What are we watching?” And she’s just standing there as he steals her rare russian caviar right out of her hand because what the fuck, Peter. Also his commentary with Yelena would be great. They’d love each other and it would drive Natasha bonkers. “God you’re such a mom.” “Sorry Nat. It’s true.” “Ive killed people you know. Lots of people.” Peter, deadpan perfect imitation of Elle Woods, “what, like it’s hard?”

Sam HATES him, complains about the fucking millennial and his taste in music and it’s mostly jokes, but Peter starts calling him an old man and referring to him as dad in public both to confuse the general public and remind Sam that he is, in fact, old enough to have a kid in his mid 20’s when nobody bats an eye at it. A couple of nice old ladies in the subway even tell Pete he has his fathers eyes, and Sam can’t fucking breathe he’s so horrified that they think a 25 year old white boy hipster is his child, but Bucky and Steve are in tears laughing so hard

Peter tries to do the same thing to Steve and Bucky, pass them off as his dads, but to everyone’s horror neither one of them bats an eye at this and they start calling him son and sweetpea and champ in front of people and Steve pinches his cheeks at a parent’s night at his college and Bucky charms a couple baby pictures out of Aunt May and has Natasha photoshop him and Steve into them and shows them to people and Peter hates it. They have an open invite to any parent events though, but usually it’s only one of them who escorts Aunt May and plays the part of doting dad. Also, they would adore aunt May. Absolutely adore her and flirt shamelessly with her, to Peter’s abject horror, and May flirts back, “I’m old, not dead and blind, Peter.”

Oh, older angstier Peter and Bruce 🥺 Bruce comforting him after Gwen dies and Peter’s one of the only people who can talk the hulk down. The hulk even likes Peter. They spar sometimes when Pete’s in a Mood. Bruce GETS it, feeling like something you love so much stole even more from you and resenting it and resenting yourself sometimes and being angry at the world and yourself all the time and they just vibe so hard. Tony often comments that he’s jealous, because all Peter has to do is send Bruce a meme and he gets like a real honest to god full body laugh. He can make the fucking hulk laugh in the middle of a fight. Peter unironically gets Bruce a #1 dad mug for Father’s Day, and May helps him make a #1 Hulk Dad hat for the hulk for Father’s Day too. Because reasons.

Pete, Bucky, Thor, Steve and Natasha play drinking games that Peter teaches them but they play them with asgardian alcohol so they all get absolutely fucking hammered and Peter plants one on thor and Bucky and then drunkenly stumbles away grumbling about kissing grandpa ex-hydra assassins and whining that he stopped kissing Thor in the first place. Todoroki doesn’t always contribute, & they always ask him before they make a new plan to make sure he’s still okay with it, but he appreciates the support & knowing that his friends love him and have his back

Uraraka talks in the chat the most, followed by Todoroki (if sending memes counts as talking), Midoriya, Iida, and finally Tsuyu who lurks a lot but doesn’t respond as often as the others

They have a “days since Midoriya last injured himself” counter that they update daily. The record was 15 days. The average is 3.

They change each other’s nicknames often. They have free reign as long as it’s not too mean, and chat rules say they have to keep whatever their name was changed to for at least a week. Sometimes they match names/ have a theme. Sometimes they bring their name changes over to the main chat too.

There is a designated “Iida Appreciation Day” when the chat is especially nice to and appreciative of Iida that happens in the chat every few weeks because they realize that they as a class are a Lot to deal with & even tho Iida is way more chill in the chat with his close friends than he can be in the main class chat they know he still feels responsible for them & does a lot for them. Iida does not know about Iida Appreciation Day (but when he finds out he is super touched & maybe cries a little bit)

Todoroki is king of the really weird, really abstract memes. The rest of the squad has no idea how he finds them & is kinda too afraid to ask

He also has a reaction image for everything and like,,, he just HAS them he doesn’t look them up, which the rest of the squad realizes cause he replies way too fast to have looked it up on the internet. They are in awe of his power

Besides the izukrew gc, only one person knows that Todoroki memes, and that’s Kaminari, because Todoroki likes to t-pose & do other meme things while Kaminari is looking at him & then as soon as anyone else is about to see what he’s doing he immediately stops. Kaminari is going crazy because nobody will believe him that stoic Todoroki, who has the greatest deadpan expression ever, memes. “Todoroki? Are you sure? Kaminari maybe you’re sick, he doesn’t know memes remember? We yelled ‘this b*tch empty’ in front of him yesterday and he just stared blankly at us.” “BUT MINA I SWEAR I SAW HIM DAB!” Ashido and Sero tried to catch him doing it but gave up after a while, stating that nobody is that good at hiding their meme knowledge. The rest of the izukrew knows obviously but feign confusion because 1) it’s funny and 2) Todoroki is genuinely having fun. When Todoroki eventually reveals to the rest of the class that he can meme, he apologizes for pranking a very vindicated Kaminari.

Iida likes those memes that combine several memes. He sends reaction images that are just memes without text bc he knows his friends will understand exactly what he’s talking about

He’s also king of photoshop & totally uses those skills for evil - he’s rly good at putting Lucky Luciano into pictures, making his friends break into a cold sweat as he sends a picture to the chat that is seemingly the exact same as the one the last person sent. Since they’re so competitive they have an ongoing competition to see who can find him first (Iida keeps the score. Right now Tsuyu is winning, but the ranks change often)

He, like Todoroki, pretends not to know memes, but takes it a little further & pretends not to know teen slang either so he can misuse it in front of people & laugh at his classmates cringing (Iida: Seatbelts are important. As Ashido might say, they are “totes yeet, yo!” Ashido: //crying// IIDA NO! Iida: Does that not mean that it is very important? Ashido: //crying louder// NO!!!). Some classmates attempt to “teach” him but he “just does not get it”. Again the izukrew pretends not to know because it’s funny.

Uraraka is queen of wholesome memes. She has so many “I love my friends” memes & always has cute images ready to send in case anyone is sad or stressed. Everyone in the chat would die for her no questions asked (she will use this to her advantage one day probably).

She also really likes spongebob memes and uses them often. Her favorite is the one where spongebob is wearing those pink frilly glasses

While she is queen of wholesome memes, she’s not afraid to tease anyone & often sends smug/teasing reaction images. Nobody is safe, especially if they tease her first, & if there’s a competition in the chat she goes all in. When she wins anything it’s like “[You’ll Float Too]: (dignitylaugh.gif) whats this? it seems i have won our little competition...” (But then immediately after she sends her first victory message she’s like “lmao jk good game”)

Midoriya sends links to random ass YouTube videos to the chat at 3 am. Sometimes the videos aren’t even memes they’re all might documentaries or something he thought was interesting or thought one of his friends might think was interesting or videos someone made about how they trained their quirk that he thinks might help someone but sometimes they’re completely nonsensical. It’s like a roulette wheel every time someone clicks a link Midoriya sent. Sometimes the chat makes bets about the contents of the video before anyone opens it. Most of the time they’re all wrong.

He doesn’t rlly have a favorite style of meme, but he always has a million specific variations of whatever meme is popular at the time and all past popular memes. His phone camera is like a meme record. He’s rlly good at finding vine comps with good but not rlly well known vines.

He also infodumps in the chat sometimes bc they let him & he is really grateful that his friends are actually interested in what he has to say

Tsuyu sends memes that roast the sh*t out of everyone in the chat. When one of her friends is doing smth stupid she totally calls them out in the form of memes (she’s really good at finding those tiktoks that feel like they are roasting you specifically). She’s a comedic timing genius and knows just when to send things (& because she doesn’t use the chat as much that makes it even funnier). She also is, rather predictably, fond of frog memes

She also loves making those alignment chart type memes (& the ones with like the triangles or the four quadrants) & makes them for/about her friends & classmates often. She is scarily good at reading people and hits the nail on the head 99% of the time. Sometimes she sends them to the main class chat too and the rest of the class is like ?!?!?!?!?!?!

Because she’s a big sister, she often sends reminders to the chat to take care of bthemselves (Iida does this a lot too, but sometimes she has to remind him because he’s so caught up in caring about others he forgets to care about himself. Actually everyone in this chat is guilty of that including Tsuyu smh). Since the others make sure she takes care of herself in return, she’s really grateful for her friends

Bonus hcs:

Aoyama, once he is added to the chat, become the expert at sending selfies of himself looking directly at the camera while a member of the chat is distracted in the background, not seeing him. The chat makes it a game to try and spot Aoyama before he can get a picture, but Aoyama always wins. When asked how he can escape the detection of even those who are always on edge/have been trained to notice every little movement, he just smiles and says “it’s a secret~!”

Shinsou, who eventually replaces M*n*t* in 1A bc this is my city & grape boy is gross, does a thing called “insomniac hours” where he will send a random question to the chat at like 3 am & Midoriya, who is almost always awake then (or sometimes Todoroki Tsuyu or Uraraka if they’re up, and very very occasionally Iida), will give him a super detailed answer. Sometimes during the day the chat plays a version of this where Shinsou asks an obviously nonsensical question and the rest of the chat has to come up with long, nonsensical answers & then votes on the best ones. Many inside jokes were borne from this game.

Rash of mass shootings stirs US fears heading into summer (AP) Two people were killed and at least 30 others wounded in mass shootings overnight in three states, authorities said Saturday, stoking concerns that a spike in U.S. gun violence could continue into summer as coronavirus restrictions ease and more people are free to socialize. The attacks took place late Friday or early Saturday in the Texas capital of Austin, Chicago and Savannah, Georgia. For Cornwall, G7 summit brings disruption (AP) Towering steel fences, masses of police, protests on the beach: The Cornish seaside’s turquoise waters and white sandy beaches are looking decidedly less idyllic this week as leaders of the Group of Seven wealthy democracies descend for a summit. U.S. President Joe Biden and leaders from Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan are arriving for three days of talks starting Friday at the tiny village of Carbis Bay, near St. Ives in Cornwall. The region is a popular holiday destination in the southwestern tip of England. Locals may be used to crowds and traffic jams during the peak summer tourist season, but the disruptions caused by the summit are on another level. Ransomware’s suspected Russian roots point to a long detente between the Kremlin and hackers (Washington Post) The ransomware hackers suspected of targeting Colonial Pipeline and other businesses around the world have a strict set of rules. First and foremost: Don’t target Russia or friendly states. Anger over mass kidnappings-for-ransom, a decade-long Islamist insurgency and a crackdown on protesters in Lagos last October has fueled demands for the government of President Muhammadu Buhari to do more to tackle violence and insecurity. Reuters witnesses in Lagos and Abuja saw police shooting their guns into the air and firing tear gas into the crowds to disperse the demonstrators, who held placards and chanted “Buhari must go”. Meet the Mac

PowerMac G5  2.0 DP Early 2005 M9747ll/A A1047

The Specs

The early 2005 PowerMac G5 2.0 DP introduced in April 2005 with dual PowerPC 970 fx G5 processors running at 2 GHz. The base model came with 512 MB of PC3200  DDR memory, clocked at 400 MHz. I’ve upgraded my machine to the maximum supported amount of 4 GB. This model was discontinued in October of 2005.

This PowerMac shipped with Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger and supports up to version 10.5.8 Leopard. Applications designed for Mac OS 9 may be run in Classic mode, as this computer will only boot into OS X. I have set up my Mac to dual boot both Tiger and Leopard.

Storage was originally provided by an 160 GB  7200 RPM SATA hard  disk, with a second  bay available for an additional hard drive. I’ve installed two 1 TB hard drives to my system, allowing the two supported versions of OS X to each have their own drive. A 4X DL SuperDrive also came standard, enabling reading and writing to DVDs and CDs.

The G5’s graphics are powered by an ATI Radeon 9600 with 128 MB of VRAM, installed into an 8X AGP slot. This card provides two DVI ports, permitting either dual or mirrored displays at a maximum resolution of 1900x1200.

For networking, you get 10/100/.1000Base-T ethernet standard. AirPort Extreme wifi, Bluetooth, and modem were all optional and not originally installed on my machine. I have since added these.

Connectivity is fairly generous for a machine of the period, with 3 USB (2.0) ports, 2 Firewire 400 ports and a single Firewire 800 port.

For expansion, you get the aforementioned AGP 8X slot, occupied by the aforementioned ATI Radeon 9600. There are also 3 open PCI slots.

OK, that pretty much covers the specs, Let’s take a look at what you can actually do with this thing in the modern era.

The Internet

 I’ll get this out of the way first: you’re not going to want to use this Mac as your daily driver on the internet.  Safari, Firefox and Chrome all left the G5 behind along time ago. Internet  Explorer? Even Microsoft has moved on from Internet  Explorer. Sort of. But...There is a web browser actively supported  for these machine. Built on an older version of Mozilla, TenFourFox is intended for PowerPC Macs running OS X Tiger or Leopard. It’s objective is to bring the modern web to these old Macs and, considering the limitations of the hardware, it doesn’t do a terrible job. Those hardware limitations are a  pretty severe bottleneck, though. It’s just too slow to keep up with today’s internet. Social networking sites like Facebook and Tumblr don’t seem to function correctly. YouTube does technically work if you can accept watching videos at 144p. Higher  resolutions bog the computer down to much, leading to buffering or choppy video. Basic, text heavy sites work tolerably well, though, and I have done quick research on the web while working on other projects on this machine. Still...Verdict: No.

Audio Processing

 My needs in this area are very simple., and, I’ve been able to do very basic audio recording and editing on this Mac using a Blue Snowball USB microphone and Audacity. A quick note, though: if you’re Audio files  absolutely need to be in MP3 format, Audacity requires  the LAME library for MP3  encoding, which I have not been able to get to work with the old version of the software compatible with this old machine. I’m not saying it can’t be done. I’m saying I haven’t been able to figure out how to do it. Verdict: meh.

Retro Gaming

From a hardware perspective, this Mac should be a pretty capable retro gaming  rig. The chief problem here is simply the availability of games for the platform. Game studios tend to focus resources on where  the customers are, and in the computer gaming world, that’s going to be Windows  and gaming consoles. Back in 2005, the Mac community mainly got ports of games that had already been out for other platforms for some  time already, sold for full “new game price”, of course. If retro or any other type of gaming is your primary interest,  the Mac probably isn’t be your first choice. Still, it’s not a total wasteland out there. MacSoft put out some decent ports - Civilization IV? OK, I’m in for that. Verdict: meh.

Office

I spend most of my time on this Mac in OS X Tiger. The two office suites I’ve found  available for this operating system are Office  2004 and an equally ancient (4.0.6.2)  version of Open/LibreOffice. Whether this PowerMac can meet your needs in this area depends on, well, what you need. I use Office 2004, which includes  Word, PowerPoint  and Excel, and for me, that does pretty much everything I need it to. This old version of Office can’t open anything saved in Microsoft’s XML format, though. Those can be identified by an x at the end of their filename extensions, such as .docx for a Word document. OpenOffice can deal with these files, so if you find yourself frequently exchanging files with other people, that’s probably the way to go. Verdict: Qualified yes.

Desktop Publishing

 Ah, now we’re getting to what I consider the Mac’s strong suit - desktop publishing. With the right software installed, this old Mac is still pretty capable. I got lucky and was gifted a G5 with Adobe Photoshop CS2. That’s CS2 as in “Creative Suite 2”, so, it’s the bundle - Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, and InDesign.  I once read something to the effect that “your Mac will always do the things it did on the day you bought it just as well years later.” That’s not absolutely true - see Internet and Video Editing - but here I think that statement holds up. I’ve used this Mac to create newsletters. My typical workflow looks like this: rough drafts of articles are written in Word. I’ll also handle the proofing in Word (if InDesign has proofing features, I haven’t found or seen a peep about them anywhere.) I’ll copy and paste these into InDesign, and begin to design the layout. I’ll use Aperture for quick touch-ups to photos (color or contrast adjustment, brightness, etc.) while actual photo editing (cropping, compositing, etc.) is done in PhotoShop. I’ll then import these into InDesign and finalize the layout. Although very old, these are professional grade tools. Could a professional use them in 2020? That might be a bit of a stretch, but a hobbyist can absolutely use them. Verdict: Yes

Conclusion

 Hardware and software limitations make this Mac poorly suited for the modern web. Limited availability of software hobbles it’s capabilities as a retro gaming rig. But, for basic office duty and desktop publishing tasks, this old Mac can still be a productive member of the family.

Overcoming anxieties... It's been great to be back at it again this week..... but I was actually pretty anxious for the first time in years leading up to these shoots. It's just been so long since I've shot anything, that I was terrified I'd be rusty or forget something as I was so out of practice. I don't think I've been this long without shooting something substantial for nearly a decade! Sure, it's been a busy week back for sure, but part of me was glad it was a 'rip the bandage off' week. A baptism of fire if you will and thankfully, (as far as I know) everything has gone smoothly.🍀🍀🍀 Small confession: I even shot some images this week at f5.6!!! I was paranoid about missing focus for some reason. I ordinarily shoot wide open at around f2.8, but was terrified of getting soft shots. Sounds super-dumb I know, but rest assured that silly paranoias and fears can affect any of us and even with decades of experience, I was more cautious this week than I have been in years! As it turns out, many of the clients I've just shot this week have requested a very quick turnaround time as everyone is super-keen to get their images out there as soon as possible after the pandemic. As a result, I'll actually be retouching all weekend to get the jobs completed and out the door as soon as possible. It's all good though, like I said, it's great to be back at it and I know many are not as fortunate. If that's you, hang in there as things do seem to be slowly turning around and I'm pretty confident we'll all bounce back.... even if we do have to make a few changes along the way. When you do get back to shooting, I can confirm that those anxieties of being out of practice will all evaporate just as soon as you fire that first shot. Sure, over-prepare and give yourself piece of mind by including backups of things. Hell, even shoot at f5.6 if you're really worried😂😂😂 So whether you're already back at it or waiting to, hang in there and good luck🍀 So yes, I've had a whole host of new shoots, many I can't share yet and some I just haven't gotten around to editing or even looking at just yet. But instead of reposting old content this evening, I delved into my past workshop images and retouched this long exposure shot of the beautiful Gabriella for you 😇 FYI: This is a 1 second exposure image that combines both flash and tungsten lighting. It is all one shot and this not a Photoshop effect. This image was captured on my 'Colour & Exposure' workshop. You can find details on all my 2020 workshop dates on my websites 'Workshop' page. So whether you're retouching like me this weekend or not, have an awesome couple of days off and I'll speak to you all again on Monday (in fact, seeing as Ive not had chance to write a Tech Tues this week, maybe we'll do a LIVE stream and critique on Tuesday. Adrien didn’t need photoshop to be up in the clouds. All weekend, he practically floated to each of his scheduled activities. Marinette was Ladybug, and his world had never seemed brighter. He hadn’t seen Marinette since leaving school on Friday, though. Adrien had started a few texts to her, but was at a loss of what to say. What if he was the only one that remembered? Of course, it would be his luck for that to happen. But it would be the sweetest of torture. At least, he knew his lady’s name.

Arriving at school Monday morning, Adrien wasn’t sure what to expect. He wanted to be as normal as possible since he didn’t know if Marinette knew. Plagg had teased him for practicing greetings in the mirror earlier, and he was suddenly feeling very nervous to see a certain classmate.

Taking a deep breath, he stepped out of the car. Nino waved at him from the steps. I can do this. Just act natural. Cool cat. Adrien greeted his best friend with a fist bump and joined the conversation he was having with Max about the new Ultimate Mecha Strike IV: his lady’s favorite game. Adrien felt himself start to blush.  Cool cat! COOL CAT!

“I’m going to go to my locker!” Adrien barely announced before bolting off. This was going to be harder than he thought.  

After retrieving his books, Adrien settled on waiting in the classroom. Being in the courtyard proved to be too overwhelming as he constantly scanned all the students for a pair of pigtails. Marinette typically arrived with only a few seconds to spare, and even though there were a few minutes left until class began, he couldn’t help but look each time someone entered.

Adrien jumped at the sound of Nino’s voice. “Dude, are you okay?”

Rubbing the back of his neck, Adrien offered a sheepish smile. “Yeah, sorry. Just worried about an upcoming fencing tournament.”

“You’re the best fencer in the league, though! You got nothing to worry about.”

“Thanks, Nino.” Trying to relax, Adrien focused on talking to Nino about their weekends until Ms. Bustier called the class to attention.

As predicted, Marinette entered the classroom without a moment to spare. Adrien’s heart thudded in his chest, but he kept his eyes on their teacher despite the temptation to let his eyes follow her. As Marinette slid into her seat, Adrien thanked the stars that she wasn’t in front of him, else he would never be able to focus.

Behind him, however, Marinette worried her bottom lip as she stared at the mop of blond hair. He hadn’t even acknowledged her when she came in. If he remembered, he would have at least looked at her, right?

Going into the courtyard for lunch, Marinette tried to conceal her disappointment. When she had tried to talk to Adrien in between periods, he treated her as he always had: just a friend. He barely responded to her before taking up a new topic with Nino.

Picking up on her friend’s mood, Alya nudged Marinette. “Hey, do you want to go to the park after school? I heard that someone was going to be making balloon animals today.”

“That sounds fun! As long as we aren’t out too late. I have to work on that history report tonight.”

“Oh, yeah. Me too. I am not looking forward to that,” Alya sighed. They were almost to their favorite bench when a loud voice bellowed above them.

“I am Recyclops, and I will take revenge on behalf of the earth!” The akuma shot a recycle sign at a table causing it to grow vines and come to life. Students screamed as the table began chasing them. Marinette reached out to grab her best friend only to have her hand pass through empty space. Alya was already running closer to the akuma with her phone held out in front of her.

Marinette scanned the area for a safe place to transform, but was tackled to the ground before she could even take a step. A trash can behind her began to sprout leaves. Before Marinette could recover, Adrien was pulling her to her feet and guiding them to an empty classroom.

Once inside, Adrien braced his back against the door, breathing heavily. “That was close. Go find a hiding spot. I’ll chill here and make sure nothing gets in.” The door budged as something hit it from outside.

Marinette hesitated, not wanting to leave him. “There must be something—”

“No. There’s no time. Go!” Adrien urged.

She nodded and moved towards a back door, stealing one last glance at the boy over her shoulder. He’s Chat Noir. He’ll be fine. This would be so much easier if he remembered, though.

Marinette checked that the hallway was clear before transforming into Ladybug and making her way back outside. Landing on the roof of the school, she surveyed the situation. Recyclops must have moved to a new target, but a small, lively forest remained, terrorizing the school grounds. Below her, Chat batted vines away from some students that weren’t quick enough to escape.

Ladybug landed behind her partner. “M’lady,” Chat Noir greeted, “What’s a flower like you doing among thorns like this?”

“Focus, Chat,” she chided, grabbing hold of the students and guiding them towards a nearby open door. Ladybug recognized it as the classroom Adrien had pulled her into only a few minutes ago. He must have transformed as soon as she left and joined the fight while she made her way out through the back.  

Closing the door behind the students, Ladybug turned around just in time to see a leafy vine wrap around her partner—who had been distracted trying to glimpse her reaction to the room they had just been in—and pull him into the canopy.

Hanging upside down, Chat Noir offered her a guilty smile as he swayed.

“Now’s not the time to have to rescue kittens from trees!” Ladybug called as her yoyo collided with the vine and freed him.

“Trunk you for the rescue.” The heroine rolled her eyes. “Let’s stop beating around the bush and get to the root of the problem. He went West.”

Instead of responding, Ladybug jumped to the roof. The akuma had already transformed most of Paris into a giant hedge maze, the streets barely visible below. Finding Recyclops was going to be difficult.

Chat’s tail flicked as he crouched next to her overlooking the city. “Well, I’m stumped. What’s the plan, m’lady?”

“Stay out of the maze and stick together. We need to lure him out without being caught in a trap ourselves.” Ladybug caught Chat’s smirk at her unintentional pun before setting her eyes back on the horizon. A plastic bag drifted through the wind only to be plucked out of the sky by a vine. “I think I have plan. But we are going to have to do some recycling.”

Ladybug had had a lot of strange plans, but none quite as strange as turning Chat Noir into a giant piece of garbage. Her partner was covered in plastic water bottles that she had borrowed from the school’s recycle bin.

“Why do I always have to be the bait?” the cat whined.

“Because you’re cute and sappy. It’s the perfect combination.” Ladybug tried to conceal her smug expression as Chat Noir’s face reddened. She waited for a response, but her partner was still blushing and avoiding her gaze. Ladybug pursed her lips. How am I supposed to flirt with a guy who doesn’t think I’m interested even though he thought I was his girlfriend 3 days ago and just forgot?

“Let’s leaf.” Ladybug resisted the urge to slap a hand over her face. This is where she was at now. Making puns. She shook her head trying to clear her thoughts. Akuma. Focus on the akuma.

Next to her, Chat Noir was trying and failing to steady his heart beat. Be. A. Cool. Cat. Coooool.

The pair set of across the rooftops, careful to avoid any creeping stems until they reached the Eiffel Tower. Ladybug shivered at the unsettling silence. Most akumas could be located through their taunts to the heros. Recyclops, however, was choosing to hide in the shadows. The pair exchanged a nod before Ladybug swung up to the rafters to wait. Chat Noir clanked his baton against the rails as he dropped a an extra bottle on the ground. Just as Ladybug suspected, vines started creeping up and leaves began to rustle.

“Now, I don’t mean to bark up the wrong tree, but why do you care so much about a piece of plastic?” Chat smashed one of the vines trying to wrap around his ankle.

A recycle symbol hit the plastic bottle that Chat Noir had dropped, turning it into a flower.

“Nice to see you branching out,” the hero said as Recyclops emerged. “Let me guess, you want to harvest my miraculous?”

“You have no respect for the planet!” the akuma called floating above Chat Noir. “I speak for the Earth who has no voice. Humans are bad for the environment, and I plan to show them the errors of their ways.”

Ladybug studied their opponent as the duo below her engaged. Recyclops’ yellow boots and gloves were an eye sore against the rest of his blue and green suit, but nothing stood out as a potential akumatized item. The only option was his blue helmet which covered his eyes and featured a white recycling symbol.

“I can be a little rough around the hedges, but I think you’d like me if you got to know me.” Chat leaned on his batton, sending the akuma a playful wink.

“I wish I could recycle your jokes!” Recyclops yelled, hurling a stick at him.

“I’m going to go out on a limb and say that you don’t have a good sense of humor to begin with.”

At that, the akuma sent all sorts of plants towards Chat Noir. Ladybug swooped down, knocking her partner off his feet and barely dodging the torrent of thorns.

She smiled down at him and said, “You know, I never heard you say timber when you fell for me.”

Chat remained sprawled on the floor as she got up to ward off Recyclops. This is it, he thought. I’ve died and gone to heaven.

Despite her distracted partner, it wasn’t long before Ladybug had Recyclops tangled in his own vines and she was cleansing the unwelcomed bug.

“Pound it,” the heroes exchanged their signature fist bump.

“Recycling is really important,” Ladybug said, helping the akuma victim to his feet, “I’ll talk to Mayor Bourgeois about opening more recycling centers around Paris.”

“It’s never too late to turn over a new leaf,” Chat piped in. The heroine rolled her eyes as her partner failed to contain his smug grin.

“Well, bug out!” Ladybug removed her yoyo to return to her civilian life but was stopped by a hand on her arm.

“Ma- Lady,” Chat Noir froze, forgetting what he wanted to say after almost saying her name. Her eyes locked with his, and he could feel himself losing his footing in a sea of blue. He longed to kiss her, but knew that he had to wait until he heard his name from her lips once again. In attempt to satisfy the urge, he swooped down and pressed a kiss to her hand instead.

The world around them stopped. Ladybug didn’t withdraw hand like usual, and Chat Noir was still at a loss of what to say or do. His fingers ached to interlace with hers, but he could hardly move, let alone breathe as he gazed at her.

Think! Adrien’s brain screamed. Say something! Say anything!

“You, uh… You look really pretty today.” Dumbass, she looks pretty everyday!

“Thanks!” Ladybug squeaked, a tint of pink seeping out from underneath her mask.

The boy continued to stare at her unable to function and still holding her hand.

“I-got-to-go-now-bye!” Chat Noir barely caught her string of words before she turned and left. He watched her disappear in the distance, his fingers tingling where hers had just been.

Not deep enough for any kind of pressure concerns, but Heero was absolutely sure he’d have felt some kind of repercussion from the approach, however slow, of such a large vessel. He wasn’t even sure a vessel of this size could have fit in the lake, but then, he admitted, he wasn’t sure that it had.  

From Duo’s bubble, Heero had stepped into what seemed like an airlock to him, but it was long, well lit, and clean on some kind of storybook-movie kind of level, like things just weren’t like that in real life.
