Things hybe 'did' for Jimin FACE era

1. Denied him of 4 MV, to artist who build that fuxking company. While giving their rookies 4 MVs on 1st album, Yoongi and Hobi a documentary and now a world tour. Apparently 4 MVs request is unreasonable, my ass.

2. Lets forget about other international platforms but they Didn't raised a finger against hanteo robbery even if it's their own home country. Still no one knows where that 770K sales went. Conveniently stole his #1 soloist sales record.

3. Didn't sent LC to radio even after mass request from fans and it achieving no1 on BB, left all work to be done by fans. LC had a very big opportunity to go even big but how much fans can do without a single support from agency ?

4. No celebrations or theme cakes like other members, no interviews or hype after No.1 BB like bangtan had during dynamite era. When rest country was celebrating and their share prices shoot up. Even Jimin's dad's friends celebrated while it's silence from his agency.

5. Even his pre orders still not shipped which is affecting charts. It's been a month, mind you. Took days to restore CDs in BTS store. Took days to add LC to This is BTS Playlist, which is the biggest we can have, while haegum was added in a day.

6. Army were begging them about BB situation for 3 WEEKS but no response but conveniently corrected the website just a day before D DAY. No comments regarding his 90%+ sales being deleted while all K media were writing about the BB payola.

7. Cut down his promotion to 10 fucking days leaving even Jimin disappointed and doubtful about his promos. Just to announce a whole new album in a week and killed hype of FACE.

8. Threw him to hands of kpoppies and antis, they were rentlessly attacking him since SMF dropped, articles were written, they were making sexual harassment and rape jokes against him. 'Artist protection' no where to be found. Didn't even took down korean articles or hate blogs.

9. Made him overwork and finish everything within 10 days till he was sick. He attended parties with tapes on his neck and was sick af by end of promos, even on BB hot 100 announcement day.

10. Remember when Filter was removed from iTunes when it began outstreaming ON ? Yeah same thing happened. FACE tied with BTS record for iTunes album IMMEDIATELY next day there was a 'glitch' and FACE falled.

That's an accurate depiction of me rn. I said in a comment and I'll say it here. I love Jimin with everything I own, but I'm gonna need my man to start having some sort of defiance. He doesn't see his potential, fine. But he needs to start prioritising himself. He don't need to be putting others infront of himself all the damn time. Did other members put their shit on hold for his sake? No. He was born to shine...its why he's so hated because he doesn't need to do much and people will gravitate towards him. If YT didn't do what they did SMF and LC would both have over 100M views by now. No seriously think about it. Forget the streamers like u and me. We have 74 million subscribers on Bangtan TV and 70 M subs on Hybe labels. Then Jimin has 49M followers on insta. Lets say 10 million are people with multiple accounts. That leaves 39M followers. Again, forget the streamers. Lets say there is a person who is busy so they only have time to watch his MVs once before going to work and once before bed. Then we of course have the haters obsessed with Jimin who also watched the MVs at least once. Add the fact that both MVs for sometime were number 1 and 3 on trending which means locals who like to see what's trending clicked on the songs and watched them. And then that's when the streamers come in. The math does not math no matter how much u try. The fact that LC doesn't even have 50 million views is absolutely ridiculous.

But, I digressed. Back on topic. Hybe did do him dirty. BH been doing him dirty for fucking years. But he stays. If you've been listening. You will notice Suga and Jimin are the two members who've been the most vocal about coming back as 7. I'm not saying the rest don't want that, but Yoonmin do appear to want that the most.

We have seen Jimin refuse to go hard when he's dancing with people who are not as good. The TT he did with TXT he did not even try. He took the cute route. And that's not the only one. VIBE he could have gone harder, but u can see he is holding back because that is not his song, he was a feature. Watch how he dances with Suga versus how he dances with Jhope. U will see a clear difference. Jimin has always, always put other people into consideration. Its why u will see when V is making fun of Jimin he won't stop and keeps going and going. But when Jimin is making fun of V, he will catch himself and stop and admit he has gone to far.

He has always put Bangtan before himself and it sucks. Look at JK "what are they gonna do, fire me?" JK knows the power he holds and uses it and takes advantage of it. He knows he's indispensable. But then so is Jimin and I wish he would follow his boyfriend's lead because this is absurd. Other members have gotten sm and he got so little. How and why was he okay with this?

I would bet my right arm (I'm right handed btw) that he has also put BTS before his relationship and could have been the cause of some of their fights. And u know JK sees whats happening and doesn't like it one bit. BH weren't promoting his man to his satisfaction so JK did a whole live dedicated to Jimin. He said; fine, I'll do it myself.

Y'all think I'm kidding when I say JK stays for Jimin 🧐

I hope military service hardens Jimin and he comes back with an attitude because this man deserves to reach even greater heights than he already has.

What’s the worst injury you’ve ever had?:  when i was in middle school, i ran face first into a glass door at home and it shattered. a large chunk of glass landed on my shoulder and i had to get stitches for it at like... 11pm on a school night. mom was a nurse tho so she got me in and out of the emergency room relatively quickly because she took me to the hospital she worked at. i was Not a happy camper, regardless, tho and after i got back home, i avoided that part of the house for a solid month. i also only got to stay home for like. a day or two before i was told to go back to school

it didn't help that i kept hearing that with the way it landed ( the scar is just shy of the junction of my neck and shoulder ), it could've been potentially fatal. and i was really lucky. so that was nice.

Do you have any obsessions right now?: tears of the kingdom!!!! i got it day one and have been OBSESSED with it. i haven't been able to play it as much as i would like but!!! i'm having fun with it--especially when the game lets me make a large ass bridge of logs so i can scale something i don't have enough stamina to climb.

First Wave Down

We're doing well with Like Crazy. Got 3.2 million views and 1 million likes in the first 4 hours. We need to keep up that energy today.

PLEASE PRIORITIZE YOUTUBE IN THE FIRST 24 HOURS.

If you haven't been counting up to 50 plays, about 3-4 hours in is a good time to switch to a different YouTube account.

Manually search for Like Crazy's official music video as your main track and click on all the FACE tracks as filler. You can search "Jimin Topic" to help you find official versions of things. As you are watching those songs, click like. Then open up Shazam and make sure you feed the app those songs.

This is likely the only period of time that YouTube is not going to screw us out of view counts so make the most of the remaining 20 hours we have today.

If you cannot manually stream on YouTube, then set up a nice long queue with all the FACE tracks and Jimin's other songs and the latest BTS solo and milestone songs as filler.

If you don't know how to make a queue, don't worry--it's very easy. Here's a step by step video tutorial and it will absolutely rescue you if you cannot be stuck to YouTube all day.

If you preordered anything, download your music on all accounts NOW.

aca-Disney mashup — VoicePlay music video

When the folks who produce Disney's stage adaptations wanted to celebrate their 20th anniversary, they approached VoicePlay — a group of experienced theme park performers who grew up during the 90s Disney renaissance and are also huge musical theater nerds. Because the video is on the Disney On Broadway channel on YouTube, Earl and Layne made a typically silly promo video for their own channel that included a way for fans to win the posters from the backdrop.

The guys also teased the premiere with a series of countdown posts on social media.

VoicePlay had previously recorded excerpts from "I Just Can't Wait to Be King" and "A Whole New World" as parts of movie-specific medleys on their 2012 album of Disney music, "Once Upon an Ever After".

Ever had a poem or song written about you: I have, a few times! When we were still in elementary school, my little bro wrote a poem about me for class. And then I had a group of friends write a song about me when I was in high school (I had been dealing with The Big C at the time and was in the hospital, and they wrote it to cheer me up. It made me cry orz)

When was the last time you played air guitar: I'm more of a random dancing/wiggling randomly when music is playing type. Oh! Actually, it was a few weeks ago, because I was messing with my little sister while I was visiting her at work. That was an air banjo though, from an inside joke I have with my siblings.

Who is your celebrity crush?: I don't think I have one? That feels like a cop out though, so I'll say that I'm a big fan of Ol.an Ro.gers? He's hilarious. Me, my wife, and a few of our friends got to meet him last year actually, and it was a lot of fun!

What’s a sound you hate; sound you love?: FUCKIN-- okay so there's a lot of bad sounds out there, but one that has been a pet peeve of mine for a long time? People chewing with their mouth open, or sucking on their teeth a lot. OH, ALSO SUPER HIGH PITCHED NOISES. Like when movies and stuff play that like...tinnitus noise sometimes?

As for a sound I like, uh...it's sort of hard to explain, but sometimes when you hear people singing a harmony, if the voices line up perfectly, you can naturally hear what's called an overtone. I might have to look for a video or something, but essentially, you can hear a pitch the next octave up from one of the harmonized notes even though nobody is singing it. It's super cool, and gives me goosebumps every time. It occurs in instrumental harmonies too, iirc?

Do you believe in ghosts?: Kinda? I guess it depends on the circumstance.

How about aliens: I mean, yeah. I think it's scarier to believe that we're the only planet out there with intelligent life and whatnot on it, than to believe that there's others out there that we just haven't encountered, yet. Also, the odds of that are just astronomically low anyway.

Do you drive?: I do! Where I live, it'd be kind of impossible to not have either me or Kei able to do so. Plus I just enjoy it overall, most of the time.

if so have you ever crashed: Nope! I've been driving for like 13 years now (started a little before I turned 15, shhh), and haven't had any accidents.

What was the last book you read?: Uhhh I think it was MDZS book...5? Whichever one just released earlier this month. Otherwise, it was The Starless Crown.

Do you like the smell of gasoline: Diesal, nah. It makes me gag. Regular gas...eh. I'm indifferent to it. Unless it's rancid gasoline, in which case, it also makes me gag.

What was the last movie you saw?: ...I think it was the D&D movie? I'm gonna be honest, I watch very little tv, and very few movies.

What’s the worst injury you’ve ever had?: I guess it would be from when I was in like 9th grade? I was sledding with some friends, and we were at this massive hill, having fun and being stupid. It was fine, but there was part of the hill that the snow plows liked to push snow from the parking lot into. So there was a big snow pile off to the side, and because I'm in a state known for the bitter cold, these piles might as well have been-- as I referred to them when I was a teenager-- small glaciers lmao.

Anyway, random fun fact, but the average sled speed on a decently sized hill is like 20mph. (can't remember where I learned that though so don't quote me on it) This hill was especially steep, so I want to say that I was going even faster than that, I got bumped into by one of my friends about 3/4ths of the way down, and slammed into the of one of these frozen slowplow piles full force before I could stop myself or roll off the sled. I hit the entire right side of my body, but mostly my thigh.

The resulting bruise was so severe (It was a bone-deep bruise over most of it. The doctor that saw me afterwards thought I had been in a car crash!), that if you were to touch my right thigh even now, you can still feel the muscular scarring it left. Yeah though, it's from like...just a little above my knee, to just below my hip.

Do you have any obsessions right now?: Probably Eld.en R.ing. I've been on and off of obsession with that since it came out, and obviously rn is one of those "on" periods! Singing is always an obsession of mine, same with dog stuff (specifically training/behavior/health related stuff), aaaand...worldbuilding stuff. Like the deep, almost scientific worldbuilding stuff that I probably won't have any reason to share with anyone else, but will randomly babble at Kei about while she's captive in my car and my mind has clung to one idea in particular.

Who is your celebrity crush?: Well damn I can't say that I have one, I don't really. Know celebrities off the top of my head at all. My partner calls me uncultured for a reason lol.

What’s a sound you hate? A sound you love?: Styrofoam makes me want to plug my ears just thinking about it. I don't know what it is about it that bothers me so much, but I will have an actual meltdown over how unpleasant it is to be around.

A sound I love would have to be a tie between piano music (I do play it!) and water of any sort (whether a fountain, the ocean, a river, etc.).

Do you believe in ghosts?: Yep

How about aliens: Undetermined on that one

Do you drive?: I do - and I do not like it. I get so much anxiety behind the wheel. Whenever we go anywhere together, my partner drives. And since they get anxiety being a passenger, it works out well.

If so have you ever crashed:  No, but I've been a passenger in one

What was the last book you read?: I'm currently on The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Book 1), but at any given point in time I have The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Silmarillion, etc. on hand. HUGE Tolkien fan.

Do you like the smell of gasoline: I do (sue me)

What was the last movie you saw?: It and It Chapter 2

What’s the worst injury you’ve ever had?: Mhm I have a fair few health issues, so it's a bit hard to rate. I had to go to the ER the other day because I had some blood drawn after a doctor's appointment and it wouldn't stop bleeding for 1.5-2 hours (my blood does not clot well). I had a bad shoulder dislocation once when I was a teenager as well (my joints dislocate very easily, I'm honestly still not sure how that one happened).

Do you have any obsessions right now?: I have a few things at the moment. I picked up Lord of the Rings Online again after years of not playing, I am finally getting Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom today (I was on a trip when it came out), I've been checking out the Welcome Home ARG...

Yes, it’s been a while, but we’re back to throw another log on the @ Movies fire just in time for Yule as a Christmas gift to our dear listeners, presenting our first ever special Manga Mavericks @ Movies interview with Casper Kelly, the creator of many adult swim classics like Stroker & Hoop, Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell, Too Many Cooks, Final Deployment 4, and his newest special and first ever feature film, Adult Swim’s Yule Log (aka The Fireplace)! 

Yule Log was the wonderful wintertime gift we didn’t know we wanted when it premiered after the Rick & Morty season finale last Sunday night, it’s the kind of special surprise and creative novelty that I absolutely love [adult swim] for and why they’re still the best network around, because no other network would greenlight a feature film based around a Yule Log video gone horribly wrong like this. But the film is so much more than just an inspired gimmick, and we go deep with Casper to ask burning questions about what sparks his imagination and lit the fire of the themes placed in the film, and he lays down a lot of fascinating insights you’ll want to log! 

If you have not seen Yule Log yet I highly recommend you go to adult swim’s website or HBO MAX and watch it first, going in completely blind, and then coming back to this interview. I do not avoid spoilers in my questions and one of mine involves discussing the ending of the film and its implications, so definitely watch the film first, and don’t start a flame war with me if you don’t! My Top 3 on Taylor Swift's "Midnights" Album

I love drama and the fact that Scooter lost his wife cuz he cheated and he's involved in many lawsuits for fraud is hilarious to me. Also, bad bitch Taylor adding about song to my Bad Bitch Taylor playlist.

Karma

Again... I love drama. This song immediately reminded me of This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things from reputation. That song was about certain people ruining something good they'd been allowed to have, and Taylor being sassy and dramatic about not forgiving them.

This song evokes the same image, and probably about one of those people still, plus a new person. She was right. She did no wrong. She went through hell. But now everything on her end is effin great and the subjects of the song are dealing with divorce, Nazi allegations, fraud, and failure at every corner whenever they try to make a lucrative move.

Taylor says she took proof to a man's wife about him cheating and not only is she now friends with the wife, but the wife got all the nice shit in the separation.

Anti-Hero

I just really love this. The funeral scene will forever elevate this song for me from now on.

As usual, Taylor delivers a stunning piece of work. Enough to break the Spotify all-around records for daily artist streams, debut day streams, and overall overtook Drake's record with just the base 13 songs, not even including the additional streams she got from the deluxe tracks she surprised released.

She also broke Apple Music and iTunes records out the ass. And is set to debut with over 1 Million physical CD sales. She'll be the first person to do so ever since her own album reputation earned a 1 Million release week of its own. Billboard revealed she'd sold 800,000 physical CDs on the very first day of the tracking week and just this morning the estimated number of sales rose even higher with new data. She broke the record for vinyl sales and I think the record for cassette sales as well.

This is massive because we're in the height of the streaming era. Music is the easiest to acquire than it ever had been. And streams pay artists pittance. 1 stream on Spotify earn less than a penny. And while Taylor earns more than most artists for having a hand in most of the jobs involved in making her albums, she still doesn't get much for it and the other people involved get way less. Physical sales benefit all creatives involved in the process.

Finally, this was a lot of effort and I'm very proud that it's making people realize that breaking your own records, plus the records of industry darlings, 16 years into your career, isn't normal. It's something to celebrate and further cements her legacy. Enough that multiple publications have recently written about how she left the peers she debuted alongside behind ages ago and has attained status only the biggest artists in the world ever achieved(even likening her to The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, and David Bowie).
