so i've started writing a book series (prose, not webtoon/comic) and I'm probs gonna self publish (?) mainly bc i doubt there'd be a publisher or even audience interested in it but basically the premise is:

Magic. Regency Era. Enemies (?) to Lovers. But... make it gay?

aka if you're into magical Regency era shenanigans but want it to be a sapphic love story then i gots u babe

Me, 5 days ago: I'm just gonna go over my outline again, I feel like I'm getting stuck.

Me, today, exhausted and covered in blood: So I restructured the entire plot and changed the timeline and half of the conflict. Also it's a trilogy now.

(Guess who is now actively working on a rework of ASE... this guy.)

i was literally about to turn my phone off and go to bed (the podcast i was listening to was like 2 minutes away from finishing) when i got the email notification. crazy timing. thank you toby fox.

#the more i think on it the more i like the idea of us getting chapters 3 and 4 before chapter 5 #cause i think it'll leave more room for speculating about stuff #like the knight's identity; i think by end of 4 we'll have much stronger evidence to go off of than we do now #but by end of 5 i think it'll be pretty obvious if not outright confirmed who they are #and i think the wait for 5-7 will be less painful than the wait for 6-7 would have been with whatever cliffhanger 5 would have left us with #considering how much the fandom has done with just chapter 2 i think 2 chapters will hold us over the rest of the way just fine #i imagine that 3+4 will be out by this time next year (at the latest december of next year) and that's very very exciting #toby fox #deltarune

A memory

"It's been a week since I took in Zenadra, a moth, under my wing when some pre-veteran skykids introduced her to me. They told me that they don't know how to help her, so they came to me for advice. She was shaking like a leaf, and jumped at the slightest sound. From what I've been told, Zenadra has been timid and scared of everything ever since returning from Eden. Even when she went through reincarnation, she's still so scared that she can hardly let go of my hand, clinging tightly to it as if I would disappear at any moment.

When we visited Isle to somehow rekindle some sense of comfort and familiarity, she told me that she hated this kingdom and wished she could have stayed in orbit had she known that entering the gate would lead to rebirth.

I was disheartened to hear that. I didn't know how to respond let alone what to do. I don't have any experience with raising moths like my other friends. I tend to keep to myself most of the time. But when I saw how Zenadra trembled, I was reminded of a time when I was a moth, cowering in the shelter of graveyard, hoping that someone would pass by and help me. I didn't want to give up on her, so I asked my mentor for help since I was out of ideas to help Zenadra.

"Food." They muttered

"Pardon?"

"Food." They repeated, as they hung up their cloak after swimming in the abyss sea. "Isle won't comfort her. It will only remind her of our purpose." They turned to look at Zenada, who was hiding underneath my cloak. "She hates this kingdom because there's nothing to comfort her. There's nothing she loves in this kingdom because the memories of Eden took up her memories of the good things. That's why she can't feel anything good about this place. Show her the kingdom while giving her good food to help her ease into the realms. It helps build good connections to the realms for her."

"Food...." I mumbled and looked down on Zenada. She looks back at me, her big glowing eyes full of worry. I smile warmly at her,

"What do you say about a little Roadtrip?"

I have no true break from school, or no break long enough to do any digital art/ anything more complicated than quick paper scribbles except on December 21th, 22th, 23th... The only free days I have left in this year. (And Christmas is spent with family, as you probably guessed. But right after Christmas is over I immediately need to focus on school again). I will have no time during January as well. (I'm not even trying to get the best grades! I'M TRYING TO PASS!!!)

It sucks, it's not like I've abandoned this blog or art, or my stories/ characters- which I have been thinking and making notes on all this time, rewriting bits, changing things... Some of the art posts here are outdated now, even!

But I don't have time... It's so frustrating.

I'll try reblogging here and there, but other than that, nothing.

#I suggested to her that if she finds out she matched and doesn't have to scramble #maybe she should fly up to see him for part of her week off again #she was grouchy about it because it required mentioning match #but yknow. I think it'd be good for her. #when she went up at the end of december she was really tense about match so #they'd both get to enjoy themselves more if she has a guarantee that she matched #even if she doesn't have the precise location until the end of the week it'll let her enjoy the whole week a lot more
