So I’m back…
But this time, I have a tutorial!
Do you have a 3DS?
(If you say yes to that, then we’re cooking).
Do you want to draw something similar if not better than…
Tumblr media
THIS?!
Then boy I have a tutorial for you!
Since this was drawn on a 3DS, I can’t really tell you anymore than for a 3DS. Sorry..
Step One: Prep!
Grab your 3DS and go to “Nintendo 3DS Camera”! Or whatever it might be called if you have a “New” one.
Optional: If you want you can take a picture within the game- if it’s capable of doing so.
For me I’m gonna use a screenshot from Miitopia.
Tumblr media
Step 2: Background!
Part 1: Plain Backgrounds
If you want something like the following image, follow this part’s instructions.
Tumblr media
Take a random full screen sized image. Any image will work as long as it fits the screen perfectly. (Take a screenshot from a game such as Tomodachi Life or Miitopia).
Tap the image so that it says graffiti.
Then use a stamp, such as the dialogue bubble.
Hold the stamp and make sure it fills the corners.
Then you have a plain white background! This one you can press finish, but the other method you can’t.
Here’s a quick video tutorial, because I don’t think I phrased it right!
(I took it on my phone, that’s how easy it is).
Part 2: Backgrounds that aren’t pure white!
If you want to make the starting image (but your own), then follow these steps!
(Once again, I’m using Miitopia screenshots for an example).
Once again, GRAFFITI!
Instead of using a stamp, you might have to just color it yourself. Mainly because the stamp method is harder for backgrounds like the first one.
COLOR THE BACKGROUND, BUT DON’T DRAW ANYTHING ELSE. (Unless you just want to draw a background). Trust me, it’s easier.
Boom! Plain background ready for sketching.
Don’t press finish cause it can decrease the quality with enough graffitiing and finishing.
Tumblr media
Step 3: Draw the Base!
You gotta draw that body-ody-ody!
Just draw a bust or whatever is easier for you. “Omg IsBus you have to have drawing skills?!” Yeah I know. How could I?
I’m gonna draw the bust up because it’s easier for me.
Tumblr media
(Don’t look at me like that.)
For the plain BG ones, just do the same thing for the rest of the steps but for your screen.
Since the background hasn’t been saved, don’t use the eraser because it will remove the white BG. Unless you are using the first background method, that is. (Use the white pencil.)
Step 4: Draw the character / Coloring Page Step!
On the plain BG you can draw what ever but for me and my Miitopia character, I’m gonna draw him. If you did the color-only-a-part-of-the-drawing method (like I’m doing), you can do whatever still.
Think of the white area as a green screen; you can draw whatever you want on it.
This phase is like the pencil part of a physical drawing. White out the base as you get to parts you want over it (for example: hair or clothes).
Tumblr media
Bam! Coloring page!
Part 5: Coloring!
Remember when I called it a coloring page? This is why.
Color the drawing how you see fit!
If you’re using the all white bg, then you might have to use the stickers or the rainbow pencil. I recommend the stickers if you want to shade/shine, but if you want more options, use the rainbow brush.
If you’re basically doing what I’m doing, you can use the colors from the image to color your character!
Once you’re done coloring the image, remember to ink the lines again! Use a medium brush for coloring but a thin brush for inking the lines.
Tumblr media
Part 6: Final Details!
For people who want any additional details, or need to clean up edges.
If you did the plain bg you can decorate and clean up as much as you need!
If you’re doing what I’m doing, you can clean up the edges of the white spot and add additional details.
Tumblr media
And Voila! You did it!
If you have a 3DS and followed my tutorial, show me what you did! I wanna see it!
Have a good day/night! And thank you for reading!

How to Buy a Shipping Container (for Your Next Home)
http://ift.tt/2sR17VT
You’ve decided to join the shipping container revolution. Your plans are drawn up, your site is prepared and your welding torch is ready to transform a discarded steel box into the durable, stylish and sustainable home of your dreams. Now what?
To help you get started, we asked architects, DIY home builders and shipping container experts from around the world for their insider tips on bringing home the best possible container for your building needs.
The first step, they agree, is to find a reputable distributor. “Shipping companies don't want people calling them for one or 10 containers. They prefer to sell to dealers,” says Barry Naef, director of the ISBU Association (ISBU stands for intermodal steel building units, the term for containers used specifically for construction).
He recommends checking the extensive international list of dealers on the Eco Green Sources website. And don't despair if you live far from the ocean. Thanks to a network of inland distribution hubs, says Naef, “there are as many [containers] in the mid-U.S. and Canada as there are at the ports, at nearly the same prices.” A dealer can help arrange for overland transport of your container via 18-wheeler truck.
Other sourcing options exist, too. In Zambia, a local NGO supplied Tokyo-based architect Mikiko Endo with old containers it had used to transport donations (she transformed them into maternity clinic housing). In Israel, architect Galit Golany purchased a refurbished container from a prefab construction company, then fixed up the turnkey unit with timber cladding, roofing, a deck and stone base.
Stephen Shoup, founder of Oakland's building Lab, agrees that looking for a distributor that will do some basic modifications prior to sale is a good idea.
“It's tons of fun to be standing there with a plasma cutter and a welder and be hacking into these things and pasting them back together, but if you're encountering engineering issues, then you're going to need licensed welders. That cost is much more controllable when done at the fabrication shop or shipyard,” says Shoup.
Another option is to purchase a container manufactured specifically for building, like the ones from Toronto-based MEKA or Silhouette Spice in Tokyo. These can be cheaply transported using existing global shipping networks, but are tailor-made to meet building codes (Japan's are especially strict).
Images (in order) by: Benjamin Garcia Saxe, Teddy Yunantha, Ecocontainerhome.com, Crosson, Clarke, Carnachan Architects, Abiboo Architects,  Jack Thompson, and Paul McCredie.
If you do decide to purchase a genuine seafaring container, you'll need to keep a number of factors in mind. First is size. Although dimensions are generally standardized, your safest bet for projects that join multiple units is to purchase a single brand (perhaps one whose logo you fancy). Houston-based architect Christopher Robertson, who has designed both upscale residential and disaster-relief housing using containers, recommends choosing “high cubes” (HQ), which are about a foot taller than standard, because the smaller size can feel claustrophobic after installing insulation. Lengths vary from 8 to 53 feet, with 20 feet and 40 feet being the most common.
Whichever you choose, Robertson cautions that the costs of transportation and modification quickly add up. “There's a real misconception that building with containers is absurdly inexpensive. Unfortunately, that's not true at all,” he says.
Assuming you're still hooked on the many other benefits of container construction, you'll need to think about age and condition. Options range from virtually unscathed “one-trippers” to eight-to-10-year-old retired containers, with varying degrees of rust, dents and warping. Your choice depends on your design goals.
For Brook van der Linde, an artist who built a DIY container home with her husband in Asheville, cost and sustainability were more important than perfect condition. “Our goal was to use materials that were headed for the landfill. Our containers were constructed in 2005 so they had a good long life going to China and back,” she says.
Robertson, on the other hand, sought out one-trippers for his residential project. “They're a little more expensive but they look a lot better,” he explains. “If they start having a lot of dings and rusts, you lose the aesthetic pleasure.”
Although a container's history is trackable via its serial number, the best way to assess its condition is through a visual once-over prior to purchase. Arrive at the lot armed with a level to check for excessive warping and a checklist of potential problems, such as holes, dents, damaged door seals, and corrosion (a little rust is par for the course). Don't forget to use your nose, as well. The wood flooring of most containers is treated with toxic pesticides, which you'll need to seal or remove, and others may have been used to transport unpleasantly odiferous contents.
Finally, once you've made your choice, take a deep breath. The toughest - and most enjoyable - phase of building your container home is still to come.

How to Buy a Shipping Container (for Your Next Home)

The Sins are (Fully) Drawn!
Tumblr media
That’s right! Now you have to meet them!
Tumblr media
Luke Cyfer is the first of the Sins. He represents the sin of pride. Because he’s the first, he is the leader of the group. His special word is ‘Perfection’, like him…
Tumblr media
Matt Muns is the second, representing the sin of Greed. Despite being the second, he is not the type to lead. He was the creator of the City’s currency which is called ‘Muns’. His special word is ‘Price’.
Tumblr media
Levi Thann is number three. He is the dad of the group when Luke isn’t being a dad. He represents Envy, of course. He spits venom- with words or without. His special word is ‘Convert’, which is something he does quite often.
Tumblr media
Samuel Tin is the fourth. He represents Wrath despite his long for a quiet day. Even though he gets angry easily, he wants to be nicer. Maybe his past has something to do with that. His special word is ‘Peace’- a future he strives for.
Tumblr media
Alfonse Deux, the fifth who represents lust. He comes from two, so he can swap his gender. But that’s more like a disguise so he can get what he wants. There’s something sad lurking beneath the surface. His special word is ‘Truth’- it’s strange since he’s always lived a lie.
Tumblr media
Ben Bubs takes the sixth place. He represents Gluttony, but that’s not hard to see. Everything about him is easy to find- in fact- he’s easy to find since he’s one of the tallest. His special word is ‘Quality’. From food, liquor, and drugs, to simply the quality of relationships…
Tumblr media
Bertram Guro, the depressed one who is always last, is number seven. He represents Sloth. He never goes out of his comfort zone, trying to sleep and stay away from others because of this. He is commonly found lounging or looking for away to escape this “dream” of his. His special word is ‘comfort’- something he needs more of.
Tumblr media
If you thought this was over, you would be wrong. Vaughn Naty, is not quite a sin. In fact he represents Vanity, which is just another word for pride. He considers himself the better between the two. His special word is ‘Visuals’ because he wants to be visually appealing.
That’s all! I hope you enjoyed my Sins lore and art! Oh! And here’s a bonus~
Tumblr media
Demon Boys may arrive soon! If we’re lucky…
