Zen:

As crewmate: he’s pretty chill, his avatar is the white one with a halo (because he has an angelic face), his name is Zen with a little heart and he sticks with you and Jaehee most of the time. He does some of his tasks, to prove he’s innocent and then he’ll follow you and Jaehee around to sort of “protect” you. When an emergency meeting is called he is the one in the groups that talks and tries to find out who’s the impostor, along with some other people. He will say that you and Jaehee are innocent and he’ll defend you :)

As impostor: he gets caught immediately because he always kills Jumin first and then when an emergency meeting is called he’ll say “I’m sure he deserved it” or he’s just laughing evilly in the background. He will kill everyone except you and Jaehee! Another way of finding out if it’s him is that he will also kill whoever killed him last round just to get some revenge pft. But the more you all play, the better he gets and soon enough he’s fooling everyone around him (I mean he’s an actor, he can lie) so Zen is pretty good at being the impostor (but he doesn’t kill you or Jaehee so that’s another way of finding out it’s him lmao)

Yoosung:

As crewmate: He plays with the light green avatar, and he didn’t really have like an accessory until Seven hacked into his server and made Yoosung’s avatar wear the post it note that says ‘I’m dumb’ or something like that lmao (he also changes Yoosung’s name to baby Yoosung or something like that which makes Yoosung so freaking angry pft.) Anyway, since LOLOL is something that requires teamwork, he’s pretty good at it! He’s always doing his tasks and sticks to you or Seven. He is the one that gets killed first tho, on A L L O F T H E R O U N D S which makes him shout and scream (sometimes he will rage quit while Seven is just laughing his ass off.) Also if he isn’t killed by the impostor then he’s voted off pretty early lmao

As impostor: he’s an angry chihuahua out for vengeance. He normally gets caught in the 2-3 round. Also. He kills V first so thats how you know. He will literally just kill V and then he won’t do anything else, his purpose is complete (he might kill Seven if he feels like it tho.) its pretty easy to know when he’s the impostor lmao. Also he doesn’t know how to really lie and you can catch him pretty easily.

Jaehee:

As crewmate: she is so freaking perfect holy shit. She gets her tasks done super quick, and she’s the one that can actually guess correctly about who the impostor is. Her avatar is the orange one, and she doesn’t really have any accessories, her name is simply Jaehee. When she’s crewmate she’s super cooperative, and she’s just, the perfect player. She loves trying to figure out who the impostor is, and she’s the one that actually uses evidence to get someone voted off.

As impostor: dude. SHES PERFECT TOO PFT. She is literally one of the best impostors. No one is able to suspect it’s her, and she managed to get the group to vote off someone without seeming too suspicious. She also may or may not sometimes kill Jumin first, it mayyybe makes her a bit happy lmao. She will leave MC for last though, and she will follow MC all around the ship. She doesn’t usually kill a lot though, she mostly sabotages the ship and that’s how she wins.

Jumin:

As crewmate: MY BEAUTIFUL BABY AHHH.

So, his avatar is purple, and he has The cat head hat as his accessory. Seven hacked so his name would be Cat Mom. Alright so our baby actually gets killed first lol. If Yoosung doesn’t get killed, then it’s him. He also finishes his tasks quickly (once he learns how to really play, it does take him a while and he will need your help.) When he isn’t killed he’s also really good at finding out who the impostor is, using facts and logic. He’s a genius my babyyyy. I love him pft. Anyway, Jumin is really really good at finding the impostor which is why they also always kill him lmao. He will stick close to you no matter what.

As impostor: listen. The first time he played and got impostor, he immediately said in the chat: MC can you explain this to me? I can’t do the tasks, and it only lets me ‘vent’ and ‘sabotage’. Do you know what this means? Also why is my name in red?”

He shortest round ever lmao. But then, he’s super good,once he gets the hang of it. The only people he refuses killing is you and V. He’s super good at lying, no one can tell it’s him because he’s perfect at defending himself. Jumin kills and sabotages, he usually does a bit of both. If he has to kill someone like you or V,he will immediately apologize in the chat, and apologize for everyone he balmed or killed too lmao. But it’s so cute. Also Seven taught him that whenever a game finishes he has to say ‘gg ez’ and now he won’t stop saying it. ‘Mr. Han, we managed to sign the contract with Mr. Kim.’ Gg ez. He leaves the chatroom, he signs off with gg ez. ‘Jumin would you like your pancakes with sugar?’ Yes love, thank you. Gg ez. It won’t. Stop.

Saeyoung:

As crewmate: boi. This guy is just super chaotic. He will act like he’s the impostor to scare everyone. He will be following you to make you uneasy. He doesn’t really do the tasks, and mostly focuses on teasing Yoosung or Jumin. He’s also the reason Yoosung gets voted off pretty early lmao. He’ll call an emergency meeting the first 5 seconds of the game and say he just missed you all, and wanted to see your faces pft. Still, when he gets his head in the game (ooo get dat reference??) he’s super good. Sometimes he will play seriously, but it’s like, a 1/100 chance lol. His avatar is the red one, and his accessories will change every single round.

As impostor: He’s still chaotic lmao. As for his name...it’s green lmao. It’s mostly when he’s playing with other people though, but Jumin will always refer to everyone by their username, so he will say “I saw Green vent.” And then everyone will voye Yoosung lmao. He’s like CallmeKevin (his Among Us videos are amazing, rip to peepeepoopoo, 21, Big Chungus, and the rest.) Saeyoung is just a huge troll lmao. He will also kill in front of Yoosung and then proceed to say that Yoosung was the one who did it lol. Oh I really want to play with him lmao it’d be so fun to form a freaking alliance.

As crewmate: he’s super cooperative. His avatar is the turquoise one, and his accessory is the snow crewmate (Seven hacked so V could have one pft.) V always does his tasks. He isn’t one to suspect people, and he’s always the one that reports the bodies. He believes that no one gets voted off unless you’re all 100% sure that the person is the impostor. V was the one that taught Jumin how to play and they mostly spend the whole game together. Also if someone kills him, he’ll be the one to apologize (LMAO I’m sorry, but it’s now a rule that V has to always apologize for something in my head canons, B U T you KNOW he would! This man will apologize for being born lmao -honey no please-)

As impostor: he will lowkey cry. Nah I’m joking lmao. He doesn’t kill everyone and mostly uses sabotage. He doesn’t really blame anyone either. He’s like...a pacifist impostor lol. He doesn’t like getting impostor that much, but he’s the one that gets it’s like three times in a row. There’s nothing else to say, because we all know that V ain’t doing shit as impostor lmao he’s a sweet baby that doesn’t want anyone to get hurt. He does sometimes kill accidentally, when someone suddenly appears close to him he will sometimes press the kill button (he always forgets it’s there) and ends up killing the person, then he’ll confess to everyone and apologize pft.

Saeran:

As crewmate/Impostor:

Ray: sweetest bean ever. Has the pink avatar and the little flower as accessory. He likes doing his tasks and will follow you around every where. He’s always super quick to blame Saeyoung though. As impostor he will always kill Saeyoung and V. He’s actually really good at lying, since he looks so sweet and innocent. He won’t kill you.

Suit: Black avatar, knife hat. He’s always suspicious. He won’t let anyone follow him. He doesn’t really do his tasks, and is not one to participate in the chat. He always laughs when someone gets killed. As impostor he always wins. He will kill everyone in a single round, no one really knows how he does it, but when he’s impostor the round is never long.

Unknown: he has the black avatar too, with the fedora cuz why not? He doesn’t really do his tasks, and mostly follows you around. Not to like, frighten you or anything, but he does like teasing you sometimes. He will not take part in the discussion most of the times, but sometimes he’ll just say: it’s zen... and BAM he’s right.

SE! Saeran: he has The pink avatar and the little crewmate pet. He likes doing tasks and walking around the ship. He also won’t really participate in discussions. He doesn’t really like getting impostor, and he will always win by sabotaging. It’s just...something about killing them (even though it’s a game) that makes him feel weird. Sometimes he will kill Saeyoung though, but it’s probs because he wants to get revenge for a prank or smth lmao.

GE! Saeran: he has either the pink or white avatar, with the flower hat or the snow crewmate. He always follows you around and is pretty good at doing tasks. He’s also a bit more active during discussions. When he’s impostor sometimes he will kill Saeyoung, but it’s in a more to tease his brother kind of way. He is pretty good at lying, but he will always tell you if he’s the impostor. He also won’t tell if you’re the impostor on a round too lmao,he’s just so cute and loyal.

Vanderwood:

As crewmate: first. How in the diddly darn fuck did you get him to play LMAOO. He got stuck with the a maid hat and dress that Seven made for him lol. He’s fine as a crewmate, and he is the one to vote people off mostly because of gut feeling. He can always catch Seven when he’s the impostor too lol, he’ll just call an emergency meeting five seconds into the game and type: ‘it’s seven’ and 80% of the time it is.

As impostor: the other 20% of the time he isn’t right about Seven is because Vanderwood is blaming him lmao. He’s a really sneaky impostor, he’s super good at using vents and great at killing people. He’s also one to win the rounds pretty quickly.

Rika:

As crewmate: she’s still sus lmao. Yoosung is always defending her though. Rika doesn’t really do her tasks, she doesn’t really do anything really. She follows you around, and will always say you’re innocent though. Her avatar is the yellow one with ram horns (don’t ask why, it’s the first thing that popped into my head lmao)

As impostor: ahhh she’s super good at manipulating and blaming others. She also frames V a lot lmao. She will kill everyone, no mercy at all. Saeran and Yoosung are always defending her, so she’s pretty good and hiding that she’s the impostor. During meetings she’ll stay quiet and mostly watch, but sometimes she will say something to stir the blame to someone, in such a...natural manner. She’ll just be perfect at shifting the blame without being suspicious. She’s really good at being impostor.

Yoosung

There’s someone younger than him in the group now and not only that, you look up to him and prompt him for advice? He’s never been in this kind of position in his life so he sort of worries about setting a bad example and he’s never had to think about that before. Since you guys are relatively close in age that means you have a lot in common and some shared interests.

You and Yoosung can spend a lot of time just playing video games together and having fun. It’s like having a really dopey big brother that lets you win the video games (no, you’re actually winning but he huffs and says he let you win). He just really cares about you and appreciates that you care about him.

He really looks out for you and the other members have noted that he’s been acting a lot more mature lately. Well, at least, that’s what they think until the two of you are spamming memes with Seven for kicks. It’s a fun life but at least you have this guy for a friend.

Jumin

Okay. He was not a fan of a child getting involved in this mess and he does scold you alongside Jaehee for listening to a stranger like that. He would have suspected that you had more sense than that but it does take him some time to learn that you were just a little too nice for your own good and that could be a bad thing. He does remind you that you should be warier next time around if something happens.

Jumin and the others were used to hanging around someone younger than them as Yoosung had once been in your age range and still in school when the RFA was just getting started. So, you can expect a lot of life advice if you want to ask it from him. He makes a point of listening to you whenever you need someone to talk to because he can recall being that age and even now—

When people did not want to listen to him for the reasons that he wanted. You don’t have to worry about a lot since Jumin’s looking out for you and you get the added bonus of being able to babysit Elizabeth for Jaehee and keep Seven from borrowing her again. He’s just a good role model for you.

You’re an actual kid and he feels even more shame and guilt in his inability to fix the mess that he feels personally responsible for creating. It was bad enough already but this is another layer for him. There was enough to deal with the fact that he had to save two people, and now he has to save you as well and that’s just another level of mess. V doesn’t feel like he's the best guy to give out advice or lookout for people anymore, but he will stand by you if you really pursue his friendship.

Well, V is someone that will listen to you talk just as much as Jumin would. He wants you to know that you matter and so do your opinions, children and teens often feel like they don’t have power, so he would want to help instill that feeling back into you as someone looking over you. He’s a good role model but he won’t admit that.

If you have or want to try anything artistic out then be prepared to talk to him about all the different mediums and all the avenues that you can personally try out as he’s been around the world and done a lot of them. He only recently found what he liked the most. You learn fast that he’s kind of a dork for a famous artist and he’s just an all-around fun person to talk to.

Saeran

Well, he knew how old you were and that was just another layer of trying to protect someone and save them from the outside world.

He sort of wanted to look out for you and prove that he could take care of not only himself but someone younger than him. So he could somehow validate his hatred for his brother and prove that he was left behind for dead and there was no excuse for that action. It was the way that it started but he honestly started to really care for you as this pseudo-big brother. It makes it harder for him to really understand why... why he left behind when he can’t imagine leaving you.

He prides himself on listening to you talk about what you love and chatting back with you about it as he would have certainly learned everything that he could to make you feel at home. He loves it when you ask him for life answers and he feels like he’s needed and responsible. He looks out for you and sometimes, you wind up looking out for him. He does feel guilty for pulling you into this mess but... it’s nice having you for a friend.

Vanderwood

You’re a kid. There’s a group of idiots in a group that left a kid in. There’s a lot going on and they can’t believe this shit.

Vanderwood is half-tempted to cart you off and tell them off for what they did. You had a choice and you could have gone back home and lived a cushy life. Think of Vanderwood as this angry older sibling that acts annoyed with you but the instant something threatened you, they are ready to destroy all that hurt you. You’re lucky that they’re fond of you and that they even bother to put up with the nonsense.

You can confide in them about anything. Don’t worry about a thing. Their lips are sealed. Just know that they have the best life advice and a lot of involves kicking down idiots and asserting your rights. They’re soft for you and treat you like this little sibling they always didn’t want(ed).

Hello, guys, long time no see! Hehe! We are revamping this blog -- we are upgrading from VandyBella content to Mystic Messenger collabs in general. This one-shot was written during a short period we shared in an RP (Another Story Centered) as a story mode.

Some background! 606 is 707′s bad ending MC. After being in a car accident with Seven, 606 is taken to Magenta. Reset happened before the two were able to reunite and the lovers never meet again until...

A new game starts and Seven ends up in Mint Eye. He’s trying to save his brother when Mr Ray is deemed MIA from the messenger and a mysterious assistant pops up. He chats in the messenger with the assistant and they agree to meet...

Believer A707: Thank you Believer A606......Can I ask you something? Believer A606: Okay... Believer A707: Why are you here? In Mint Eye. Believer A606: Because... I made the wrong choices... but don't matter now... I got a restart here. Believer A707: Lololol Restart, huh? Hahaha...I wish the game would restart right now Hahahahahaha...But...wrong choices...you're not here because of your own will...? Is that what you mean? Seven stares at the log, at the words written on the screen. And the fact that this new Believer...this girl…

606.

Everything feels so complicated. It feels like pieces of the puzzle are falling into place. But it’s all wrong. She shouldn’t be in this reset.

And where is his brother…?

Seven closes his laptop and hides it in a loose floorboard, before covering it with the carpet. A cliche hiding place, but he doesn’t really think the Believers would check there. Besides...it’s wired to self-destruct if it recognizes a face other than his.

The red-head pulls his hood over his face and starts making his way towards her office, 606’s. He doesn’t know what to expect, this is an entirely different game… But he’s ready to play it.

And this time, he wants a good ending.

She logs out of the chat and her mind starts to wander… back to days where she just like now talked to someone who made her smile.

A606 touches her lips, the pad of her thumb running over the smile on her mouth.

For a moment she forgets all her duties, all the things she has to do and the shoes she has to fill in. A wave of responsibilities was thrown to her for being his assistant… where the hell is he? He is supposed to be with the Savior but knowing her and knowing what really lies under the sweet smile of the blonde A606 is worried.

She hears the footsteps outside the door and closes her laptop.

Now or never.

The red-head raps his knuckles against the door twice, blinking to make sure his contacts are in place. When he hears her voice, telling him to enter, his heart skips a beat. Turning the handle, he goes in…

And is met with her.

A606.

MC.

In the previous reset, he had lost her...and now. Now she’s here, with mint streaks in her hair. Those eyes, those lips...the same ones he gazed into, the same ones he…

No... don't think about it. You can’t, Luciel.

Her amethyst eyes are met with golden ones and her breath gets stuck in her throat. He’s like a mirage, from a story she remembers, a story that plays every so often in her head.

She swallows trying to find her voice, “A707?”

“Yep. That’s me. A707.” Seven answers, offering her a smile that doesn’t quite reach his eyes. “You’re...606.”

“Yes…” She is frozen in place, trying to figure out if this is reality or the effect of the drink she had minutes before he arrived. She feels her fingers twitching but does her best to look normal. “Thank you for coming here, I got worried when I talked to you earlier.”

You have no reason to worry, is what he wanted to say. But he can’t get those words out. Because he’s worried too. Worried...about her. Seeing her like this, her fingers twitching like that. It does nothing to calm his already jumbled mind.

“I should be the one thanking you, A606. For inviting me here.”

For giving me a few pieces of the puzzle.

He should be angry. Seven should be angry that whoever is preparing this sick game brought her here, to this hellish place. But at the same time...she’s here. She’s here and she’s right in front of him.

I can save you.

His voice weaves a feeling in her chest, one she had long forgotten… or wish she had.

This feeling only brings doubts to the truth of the salvation she found. She is a new person, the one who loved and smiled, that girl no longer exists… that girl doesn’t deserve her past or the people in it, this new girl doesn’t deserve him.

“I just want to avoid trouble, A707, I don’t want you to do something that will bring that trouble to me.”

I don’t want you to be in danger…

“Oh, trust me, I won’t do anything to put you in danger.”

I lost you once, I’m not losing you again.

“But tell me...A606. Are you in any sort of danger?”

She can’t withstand his gaze so she looks away and removes the big black robe covering her small frame and places it on the chair.

“Danger? Of course not… if anything it would be getting fired.” Her lips curl up just a tad.

There is a scrunchie around her wrist, she uses it to hold her hair into a ponytail. It’s not until she is done fixing her hair that she realizes what she is doing… being too normal, too familiar… too intimate.

But what’s done is done, she sits on the chair and looks up at him.

“So, A707, are you doubting our faith?”

Everything feels too familiar. It’s too soon, the reset has barely sink in...God. Seven takes a deep breath and focuses his eyes on her face.

“Our faith...what is it you believe in, A606?”

Why are you HERE? In Mint Eye!

His question feels like a protest.

“I believe in Magenta of course, in our Savior. In the idea that everyone can be happy here. That no matter what you did before, you get to be happy here.”

This is a second chance…. You don’t belong in this one, though.

“But, A707, why are you here?... I mean since it seems you are not sure about your faith.”

Seven stares at her, trying to decode the meaning behind her words. He wonders if she remembers...but no. It doesn’t usually work that way. MC always forgets, always forget him.

But he never forgets about her.

Her words though…’no matter what you did before, you get to be happy here.’

Could she actually…?

“Oh,” he says out loud, clearing his throat as he grins at her. “I’m here because I want to offer salvation...to someone precious to me. Though now it seems that I get to save more than one person.”

He wants to say more, to tell her the truth, but that’s not how it works...if he reveals anything, A606, the other guests, the RFA...Saeran. All of them will be put through the horrible process of reset again. And he doesn’t want that, not when the game is still in progress; it hurts more when it’s cut so suddenly.

“How did you meet the Savior?”

“Salvation… well, you’re in the right place.” She smiles and her fingers fidget on her lap. “I met her when I came here… Mr Ray is the one who brought me to Magenta. I owe him who I am now.”

She wants to ask, curiosity starts to go off… she wants to ask if he remembers and if they’ve met before.

“Listen, A707…” She looks at him, “you… I… I’ll help you. If you want to save someone. I will help.”

Help me save you.

If there’s anyone he wants to save...It’s Saeran...and it’s her. His 606. The woman he wanted to take to the space station.

“Thank you...that’s really kind of you, 606.” Seven gives her a chuckle. “But I really think you should keep yourself safe too. Don’t worry, I’ll do everything I can to help you too.”

To keep you safe. Make sure Rika doesn’t suspect you...Make sure his brother doesn’t make her his next target.

That’s right. He’ll delete their logs. Saeran can’t see his conversations with MC, or he’ll know...and Seven can’t afford to lose either of them.

“You don’t have to worry about me, A707. I worry about you, the way you speak… it could bring danger to you…” She should take back her words.

“I mean, you should be more careful on the way you act…” She focuses her eyes on her trembling fingers. “I don’t think I’m being a good believer right now… maybe I need a session with the Savior too.”

He can’t help it. Seven kneels in front of the woman and takes her hands in his, grasping them tightly. He keeps his head bowed, his face hidden so she doesn’t see how much this is hurting him, how seeing her like this is painful for him.

“You don’t, 606...you don’t.”

He closes his eyes. Why does this keep happening to him..? People around him always get hurt. He runs his thumb across her skin, feeling her trembling hands underneath his touch.

“I’ll help you, okay? Please wait for me...I’ll help you, 606. Don’t...don’t go to her. Please.”

His touch makes the trembling worst, her heart drums in her chest so fast she can feel it trying to jump out.

“W-what are you doing?” She moves her hands but can’t bring herself to free them from his grasp. “A707 this is… you shouldn’t…”

He lets go of her, getting to his feet. There’s a slight tint to her cheeks, and it takes all his willpower not to tease her about it. Just like before, MC.

“I’m sorry, 606. Hehe, I was being rude~”

He puts another fake smile on his face. Playing the part of the goofy hacker again. She’s blushing but...maybe she doesn’t remember. How could she?

“I hope you don’t see the Savior just yet though...I really want to go with you when you do.”

She raises an eyebrow recognizing the happy mask he puts on.

“Yeah, it’s alright, I don’t think I can see her now. She’s busy with the party preparations. But if I do I won’t take you with me. Not when you’re acting so weird.”

Seven laughs at that. Weird.

Once before, they were ‘weird’ together.

She opens her laptop and clicks on the file. She stands and walks to where the printer is.

“Here is the schedule, keep it safe, A707.” She hands him a couple of papers. “... and whatever is that you need them for… keep me out of it.”

Seven takes the papers from her, careful not to brush his fingers against hers again. The desire to touch her is too strong, and it’s never easy for him to keep pretending like he doesn’t care about her. He shoves the papers in his robes, then looks at her again.

“Thank you, 606. I always knew I could count on you.”

He wants to say more...God. He can’t. He mustn’t. All he can do now is watch over her from afar, keep her safe as best he could under the circumstances. Seven turns and heads for the door, opening it a little. But before he leaves, he shoots her another glance. A smile.

“And 606…”

“I would love to go to the space station with you someday.”

The redhead steps out. Closes the door behind him. And silently walks back to his hideout, his heart even heavier than before he walked into the room. He only hopes...that this time, the game would let him save both of them.

She doesn’t know if she should laugh or cry… the emotions swirl in her chest.

Countdown to the Cake: 1

The Cake

“Hey, MC.You know I gave you that Arabic dictionary so you can come in here whenever youwant, right?”

“Yes, Iknow, Saeyoung. I just forgot.” On purpose. You needed to buy more time,getting stuck on their door would do the trick for a while. “I was just soworried my laptop wasn’t working, you know?”

“Yeah, yeah…let me see the damage.” You take the laptop off your bag. “Well, I’m notfamiliar with Jurassic technology, but let’s see what I can do for you.” You knewkeeping this old laptop in your closet could be useful one day. More time tobuy.

“So, uhm…where’s Saeran?” you look around, trying to get a hold of him.

“In hisbedroom, as usual.” He says, opening the laptop without any trouble.

“Oh… is hesleeping?” this could be a problem if he’s sleeping.

“Probablynot… why?” he looks at you. Relax, MC… he doesn’t know anything, he doesn’tsuspect a thing… calm down and act naturally.

“Nothing. Iwas just wondering if you two would like go out and hang a little after you do yourlittle magic there.” Little magic?Ugh… what’s wrong with you?

“Oh, we canhang out right here.”

“Yeah, or…we could go out. I didn’t put on a nice dress to stay inside a bunker thatsmells like honey and soda. No offense.”

“Not taken.”And he goes back to the laptop’s circuits, whew… that was close.

“You reallyput on a nice dress, MC.” You look behind to find Saeran standing next to thedoor.

“Thank you…”even though you know he’s not really complimenting you, it’s more like anobservation.

“And whatdid you do with your hair?” shit! You knew changing your hairstyle could makethem suspect something…

“I… combed?”both twins nod and look at you. Shit…

“Makessense.” Saeran says, heading out of the room. Whew! That was close… how long doyou still need to stall?

That’s whatyou ask Yoosung over the phone when you excuse yourself to go to the bathroom.How long do you need to keep the twins distracted while the other RFA membersorganize the surprise party for their birthday?

“I don’tknow, MC… we didn’t know Jumin ordered such a… handful decoration, so it’staking a while to put things in place. You need to hold them a little more…”

“I’mtrying. I even brought a laptop with Windows Vista on it, but… they’resuspecting something, Yoosung, I can tell!”

“I doubtit. They probably don’t even remember what day is today. Calm down and keepgoing with the plan, you’re the perfect bait!”

“Yeah, Ishould be used by now…” you hang up and go back to where Saeyoung is, only tofind the laptop functioning normally. “What did you do?”

“I fixedit! Like you wanted.” He smiles widely. Shit! You forgot you’re dealing with agenius here.

“Oh… ohyeah! Thank you! Are you really sure it’s working?”

“Well,yeah! Are you doubting my skills, MC? I’m offended!” he does a dramatic gesturebefore smirking teasingly. “Now let’s get out of here, the world needs to seeyou in a pretty dress and combed hair.” No! Too soon!

Or maybenot… the plan was just holding the twins, there was nothing about keeping theminside their house. Maybe you can stall in another way…

“So whatyou wanna do, MC?” Saeyoung asks when the three of you go inside one of hiscars. You look at both of them, Saeran isn’t happy about getting dragged out ofthe house, it took your persuasive abilities (whine until he is tired of listening to yourvoice, that is) to convince him to come along. This is a party for the twins,you need them both there.

“Hum… I waswondering if we could go to uhm…” your phone starts buzzing, you look at who’scalling you “Zen?” you say out loud.

“Zen’splace? No! It’s too small there!” Saeran complains, that’s when you realize yousaid it out loud. Stupid!

“Z-Zen? DidI say Zen? No, uhm… that’s now what I meant, I… need to use your bathroomagain, be right back!” you get out of the car and run inside the house again. “Hello?”

“Achew!Hey, babe! So, uhm… achew! Remember I was supposed to pick the cake at yourplace? Achew! Why didn’t you tell me your neighbor has a cat?” For fuck’s sake,you forgot about Mr. Cat Damon!

“Oh, Zen… I’mso sorry. Is everything okay?”

“With me?Achew! Yes, yes… my throat is just a little clog, you probably noticed my voiceisn’t as soothing as usu… achew!”

“And thecake?” you feel bad for him, but now there’s a cake at stake! Well, not really,but still…

“Oh yes, it’sfine… you have a lovely decoration, by the way, it really suits you… achew!” ohyes, Zen. Perfect time to flirt… “I just couldn’t make it to the kitchen,because the cat was there, how did he get in?”

“Mr. CatDamon always finds his way in… that sneaking little thief.”

“Oh, justlike in Ocean’s 11?” Ahh, a reference to Matt Damon… clever, Zen… wait, there’sno time for this! “Anyway, I… I’m trying to reach Yoosung, Jaehee and Trustfund,but none of them are answering.” Of course, because they’re busy with thedecoration!

You tell himto get out of there before his allergy gets worse and that you’ll find asolution. In the meantime, you call Jumin… nothing. Jaehee? No answer. Yoosung?Voicemail… what now? Well… it looks like you’ll have to discreetly get thecake, find a way to hide inside Saeyoung’s trunk, pray it doesn’t melt, andhope you’re not caught by two smart former hackers… god help you.

“I’m sorrywe have to go back to my place, Saeyoung. It’s just… I really need to grabsomething I forgot there.”

“It’s fine,MC. Maybe we can come up and hang out there, then…”

“NO!” youyell, making both twins stare at you. CALM. DOWN! “I mean… no… my house is sucha mess right now…”

“Ah, darnit! I thought I was finally going to see Mr. Cat Damon again… does he stillbreaks into your apartment?” Does he?

The ride toyour building is silent. You’re worried about letting something spill everytimeyou open your mouth. Thankfully, the twins aren’t that talkative. You wonder ifit is because they know what day is today, but they prefer avoiding thinkingabout it? Knowing everything you know about them now, you can’t even imaginewhat kind of sad memories revolve their birthday…

“We’re here!”Saeyoung states, that’s when you notice how much you were spacing out. Focus,MC! This party means a lot more than you can possibly think!

“So, uhm…can you do a favor for me? I need you to let the trunk door open…”

“Why?” bothtwins tilt their head in confusion.

“I… need toput something mine in there. It’s… personal…” well, you can’t use the bathroomexcuse on this now, can you?

“Oh, I seewhat’s going on here…” Saeyoung looks at his brother and gives him this weirdsmile, no… shit! They know? “You’re on those lady days, ain’t you?”

“What areyou saying, idiot? Don’t make her uncomfortable!” Saeran says, blushing. Oh myGod… they think you’re on your period? So embarrassing, this is… this is…perfect!

“It’ fine,Saeran. Yes, I… yes, I am. And I need to grab a bag with some spare clothes and…other things, in case of an… you know, an… accident…” this is more embarrassingthan if you actually were on your period.

“Oh, things…as in tampons, right?” Saeran asks.

“Yes,Saeran. Tampons. So uhm… keep the trunk door open and whatever you two do, don’tleave this car, okay? I’ll bring… I’ll bring a lot of tampons, and it’s kinda embarrassing,so please…don’t look!” well, this is weird, but maybe will be enough to keeptheir curiosity away. For once, men’s lack of knowledge on how periods workwill save the day.

You go toyour place, and the cake is in the balcony, like you instructed the guy fromthe cake store to let. Okay… now you need a bag to put the box inside andpretend it’s a lot of tampons! What a genius plan! Now where is that bag? Maybeyou have one big enough in your room. You go there and look for those old paperbags from fancy stores you kept to remind you bought something from a fancystore before, ugh… isn’t it amazing how your dorkiness is working in your favorfor once?

You go backto the kitchen and when you’re about to place the box inside the bag… you hearSaeyoung’s voice next to the door.

“Come here,Mr. Cat Damon!” NOT THIS FUCKING CAT AGAIN!

“Ugh, that’sthe stupidest name I’ve ever heard!” Is Saeran here too? Well, yeah, Saeyoung wouldnever leave him alone with one of his babies, he’s so possessive with thosecars!

Mr. CatDamon comes in and meows at you. One of these days… Mr. Cat Damon, one of thesedays…

“MC? What’sgoing on?”

“I… I…”need to go to the bathroom? Forget it… there’s nowhere to run.

“What’s inthe box?”

“Tampons?”

“Do youreally think we’re that stupid?” Saeran asks, glaring at you. Uh oh… “You’re upto something, ain’t you?” Well… you can’t really keep on lying, can you?

“I… I am,and the other RFA members are too. Zen was here before, but Mr. Cat Damonshowed up and made him sneeze, and nobody was answering because they were busywith the decoration, so I tried not to ruin the surprise because everybody putso much effort on making this a happy birthday for both of you, since you guys deserveso much after everything you’ve been through, and I want you too to be happyand loved, and protect you two because I care so much about you guys and… I’mnot really on my period!” You say as you feel the tears rolling down. Saeyoungand Saeran look at each other completely lost.

“Oh… we… kindaforgot it was this day of the year?” Saeyoung asks his brother.

“Yeah… soused to not celebrating at all for all those years…” oh god…

“So… so… Ijust ruined the surprise?” more tears, and Saeyoung runs to you.

“Hey, it’sfine… you didn’t ruin anything. Well, except for Saeran’s innocence with thattampon thing, but… don’t worry, MC. The biggest surprise here is seeing howmuch you tried to make this day special, it’s so good to know we have someoneso willing to make us happy.”

“Oh, butthat’s no surprise! You already know how much RFA loves you, guys! The partywas supposed to be a surprise!”

“I thinksurprises suck.” Saeran states, crossing his arms. “So stop crying and feelingso bad on yourself.” He glances at you quickly “… please.”

“Yeah, youcan’t ruin your make up that goes along with the nice dress and the combedhair, girl!” Saeyoung shakes your shoulders lightly. “So, come on, I’ll helpyou put the cake in the trunk while we teach Saeran how to pretend he’ssurprised.”

“Thank you,guys.” You smile at both of them, Saeyoung chuckles, and though you’re notsure, you think you saw Saeran smiling a little. “Yes, let’s take this cak…”

SPLASH! Youjust see the box with the cake hitting the floor and Mr. Cat Damon looking atwhat he did… then he looks at you like this was completely natural. You openyour mouth in shock.

“This cat…is the incarnation of the evil! I’m going to kill him!” you go towards Mr. CatDamon’s direction, yelling.

“Whoa, calmdown, MC! Calm… down!” Saeyoung holdsyou against him, you two lose balance and fall on the floor, splashing cake frostingeverywhere.

“It’s… It’s ruined. Just like the whole surprise…” You say, your voice starts breaking again.

“Oh no no no… It’s not your fault, MC. Don’t worry!” Saeyoung hurries in comforting you.

“Yeah, silly. It’s just cake, we can get another one tomorrow or next year, whatever. There will be plenty of birthdays for us to have cake.” You and Saeyoung look at each other, then at Saeran. Did he just say he wants to celebrate in the years to come?

“Awww MC, did you hear that? Saeran just said something sweet!” you two giggle, but he doesn’t look that happy.

“Oh… So you like it sweet, huh brother?” He asks, kneeling before you two and grabbing a fistful of cake. “Is that sweet enough for you?” He shoves the cake on Saeyoung’s face.You look in shock and try to hold your laugh, but it’s impossible.

“Now whatare you laughing at?” Saeyoung throws cake frosting on you, and before you knowit, this is a food war. Your kitchen is a mess, and Mr. Cat Damon ran out ofthere, but you didn’t even notice, you were too busy laughing and having funwith the twins.

Which… wasinterrupted by a clearing throat sound, clearly made by Jumin. The three of youfreeze as you see the other RFA members judging and watching this curiously.

“What thehell is happening here?” Jaehee asks, shocked.

None of youknow what to say and just keep looking at each other, like “who’s gonna talk?”

“Well, uhm…surprise?” Saeran asks.

Drunken Truth

Jumin gets too drunk and ends up telling everything that has pilled up in his mind to Jihyun.

This one-shot was inspired by a song with the same title, ‘Drunken Truth’! I listened to the EXO’s Chen ver. here. If you are interested, please do watch and listen to it!

The clinking sound of the tableware echoed across the hall, accompanying the guests as they were having conversations with one another. They were having fun throwing jokes, making new friends, or exchanging stories. The hosts giving the utmost care to their guests, making sure they were comfortable and enjoying the party. Delicious food and liquor came endlessly to satisfy their appetite. It was a busy, yet pleasant night.

Out of all the parties they had hosted, this party is the most rewarding one. They went through a lot of up and downs together during preparations. They learned something they wish they never know. They couldn’t believe it themselves, they always try to deny it but they couldn’t. Since they witnessed it with their own eyes. Everything they were always curious about, something that had been kept for a long time, they were all answered in the most horrifying way possible.

Though it happened a few days ago, the feeling of guilt and disappointment were still running in their heads. They were really shocked that after all this time, their respected leader lied to them, and hold a great secret all by himself. The secret itself… is the one that left them speechless. Someone who is supposed to be passed away, standing strong before their eyes. Someone they admire and love. Rika. They cannot believe their ears when Rika confessed herself that she did all of those cruel thing, just to reach her own goals and ideals. She hurt her own lover and someone’s precious family. Saeyoung was beyond shocked as if he was struck by lightning, seeing his own brother in that state. They were all dumbfounded looking at V’s condition. His eyes were severely injured, and he struggled in a lot of pain because he was drugged.

Jumin shouted in rage when he saw his friend’s terrible shape. He quickly told his people to bring V to get the treatment he needed. He glared at the woman who did all this. All he see was not the Rika he used to be fond of. Rika who always wanted to help people kindly. Why would she do this? What for? How do you have the heart to do this to human being? Let alone… your lover?

“RIKA!”

Jumin called out her name. Nobody in the RFA ever heard him shouting very loud like that. Not even Jaehee.

“You definitely will pay for your crimes,”

It was the first time Jumin let his anger take control of his body. It felt like his blood was running backwards in his veins. He rubbed his forehead. His head hurts if he remember that again. How could he didn’t notice it? How could he keep it a secret from everyone? How could he endure it all on his own shoulder? Didn’t he said we are… family? Jumin took a sip of his wine. V’s secretive behavior makes sense now. Jumin started to blame himself for not noticing the pain his old friend has endured for a long time.

Am I really his friend? Or is it only me who thinks that we’re friends?

“Why are you drinking alone here, Jumin ah? Everyone is having fun at the hall” a gentle voice rang into his ears, making Jumin turned his head and found his childhood friend smiling at him.

“Jihyun,” Jumin averted his eyes from him. He didn’t really want to see him right now. He was ashamed of himself for not being able to protect him. V… should not act friendly with him right now. V took a seat in front of him. Jumin gulped his wine all at once, still avoiding eye contact with the blue haired man.

“Are you… mad at me?” V asked him hesitantly.

“Not really,” Jumin poured wine into his glass. He offered it to V but he politely let Jumin drink it himself, “Rather than mad… I’m more disappointed,”

“I… I apologize—“

“I’m disappointed at myself. Not you,”

“Uh? Oh…” he flustered, fidgeting his fingers under the table, “Jumin ah, I—“

“If you’re going to apologize, do it to the other members. You don’t need to do such thing to me,” he locked eyes with V, “Just… tell me everything,”

“Alright,” V took a deep breath to prepare himself telling everything to Jumin. He couldn’t bring himself to tell the members because it was something that is really hard to believe. Since Rika always showed her caring and nurturing side to the organization, no one would suspect her doing something like that. Rika held a precious place in each of the member’s heart. Especially Yoosung. That boy… he cares for Rika deeply and willing to give everything to make her happy. To Zen, Rika is someone who helped him go through his rocky career path. As for Saeyoung, he feels indebted to her as she was willing to rescue them from their abusive mother and take care of Saeran. To Jaehee, she is a capable and admirable person who does amazing thing through this fundraising event. To Jumin, she is a precious friend who can make him open up about his own feelings. It is not something anyone can believe unless you see it with your own eyes.

And V knows about Rika’s plans all along, so he didn’t want the members involved further in this matter. It is his fault that Rika become this way. Should anything bad happen to the members, he wouldn’t forgive himself. Their lives are his responsibility. Because he is the leader.

“You see, nothing good comes from sacrificing yourself like that,” Jumin gave him a sad look, “You get hurt, everyone’s worried about you and doubted you… you said it yourself that we are family. You can tell us everything. Well, if you don’t want to, you can at least… tell me,” he tried to keep his composure. V fell silent, couldn’t give him a single word.

“This will be the last time you hide something like this from me. I usually respect it if you want to keep a secret, but if it’s something that harms you… I cannot stay still,” Jumin said with a stern voice.

“I got it,” The latter nodded his head, keeping his words in mind. Having a friend like Jumin makes you feel relieved. The heavy burden on his shoulder suddenly feels lighter. V was still guilty for making his friend felt bad like that. It must be hard for him to accept all of this at once. But he was glad that Jumin has a big heart to forgive him. The calm and comfortable atmosphere began to surround them. Both Jumin and V felt a lot better after talking what they’ve been feeling.

“Don’t you want to join the others?” V suggested. The raven haired man smelled the aroma from his wine glass, “I want to drink here. Besides, I’m trying to avoid any chance to encounter my father’s new girlfriend,”

“Ah, I think I saw her earlier. Is she Glam Choi?”

“Hmm,” Jumin answered with least interest on his face. He would always react like that at the mention of his father’s girlfriends. V chuckled at his unchanging behavior from when they were young. He felt a bit nostalgic. It has been a long time since the last time they relaxed and enjoying the night breeze together like this. It makes him want to tease Jumin a bit.

“Your father keeps changing girlfriends from day to day. Are you not interested to be in a relationship?”

“I’m not interested,” he gazed at the moon, “Women who try to get close to me, they desire the same thing. They only need my money. They expected something from me. If I show them how I really am, they will hate me and leave me for sure,”

“Heey, what are you saying. I’m sure there are a lot who can understand and accept you as you are,”

“Jihyun,” Jumin put down the wine glass, “I’ve lived like this for 27 years. I know it better than anyone else. I don’t need to experience it myself; just by observing my father’s girlfriends, I know at a glance that they only want a wealthy life by dating my father. I know it very well there are only a few who can understand me completely,”

“Don’t be so negative. You will find someone whom you can trust someday,"

“I don’t plan to find one,” he said calmly, “…you’re here, so it’s enough,” Jumin mumbled his words.

“What did you say?” V didn’t hear it clearly, and draw his head closer to Jumin so he can hear more clearly. Jumin refused to repeat what he said earlier, and refilled his wine to distract V. He started to get worried. Jumin usually doesn’t drink this much. But he tried to understand; Jumin can do anything he wants since they were at a party after all, and probably he wants to put his mind at ease by drinking. A bit part of V’s heart blames himself, it can be he’s the one who caused Jumin to be like this.

“I have few enough trusted friends as it is. I only have you and Rika. But Rika turned like that without me knowing and she did those unforgivable things to you. And you… what would happen to you if we didn’t make it to save you?” Jumin covered his face with his palm, cannot bear imagining worst possibilities if they didn’t arrive in time to save V.

“I almost lose you…”

V turned speechless. The pain he caused to Jumin was more serious than he thought. It was the first time he saw Jumin like this. He wouldn’t ever waver when he had family issues. But now, tears streaming down his cheeks when he talked about V, making him quite taken aback. They’re childhood friends, but V had never seen Jumin drunk, even once. Which is it? Is it because of me? Or is it because he is drunk? Jumin was about to drink again, but V stopped him by holding his hand and took the wine glass from him.

“Jumin ah, I’m sorry, but enough drinking for today. You’re drunk,”

Jumin took a good look at his friend’s face. You’re right, I may be drunk. When morning comes, I may act like I don’t remember what I have said to you. I would like to apologize for my current state... But there is something… that I absolutely have to say to you.

“Jihyun ah… we’ve been friends since childhood… and until now you are the only friend I can trust. Of course I can trust other members too… but I can be myself only when I’m with you. Just being with you by my side is enough for me,” Jumin said with affectionate tone. V became more concerned, he never knew Jumin has this side in him, it frighten him a little, “Jumin ah, do you want to go home? Should I call your bodyguard to escort you home?”

You foolish friend of mine, Jumin chuckled seeing V’s panicked face. Just because I’m drunk, don’t think that is why I’m saying this. Even if it sounds sloppy and corny, I’m aware about what I’m talking about. I’ll probably never do something like this again, Kim Jihyun.

“Jihyun ah,” Jumin looked at him in the eye, “I adore you. I want to be the person you can depend on. Please stop keeping everything to yourself. If you can’t carry the burden alone, you can turn to me and ask for my help,” Jumin patted his head lightly,

“I ask you to treasure yourself the same as I treasure you, Jihyun ah,”

V started to lose it. He dissolved in tears, the words Jumin said to him touched his heart in the gentle way possible. He didn’t realize how much he longed to hear those kind of words. He always put others before him, until he forgets about his own needs. He also want to be loved. He also want to be taken care of. And Jumin understands him the best.

“Jihyun… about your offer earlier…” Jumin laid his head on V’s shoulder, “Could you please call for my guards… I’m starting to get lightheaded,”

V hit his head gently, “Control your liquor next time,”

So he’s the type who will speak the truth when he’s drunk, V giggled at the sight of drunk corporate heir.

Canon-ish favourite things about MC

Everyone in the RFA is attracted to MC, but they all have separate things that they are most interested in. Technically, they love everything about her, because this is a dating game and everyone was written lovely, but whatever. My point is that there’s usually some kind of shining example of what they like best about her.

SPOILERS because Extra Story and Bad Ending references

Zen: MC’s sweetness

“She has a great personality.”

he likes cuteness, but for him, that isn’t a physical thing; he figures you’re cute because of your messages in the app, not because of how you look, early on in the game

he gets wrapped up in her kindness, both with complimenting his handsomeness and in the way she treats the rest of the RFA

he admires how patient she is with Jumin or Seven, both people who he finds annoying or weird

he appreciates MC’s considerateness for Jaehee, regardless of whose route you’re on

he knows she gets mad at times (”Sometimes we fight about stupid things.”), but they always make up and she’s always calm and mature about the big things (like getting stalked, etc.)

Yoosung: MC’s maturity/confidence

he starts out attracted to her because she made him think of Rika

what he actually notices is MC’s goodness/selflessness, like what Rika used to be

if it were only MC’s goodness that he saw, he would be willing to be just friends

the thing that pushes him over the edge is how maturely she handles the constant comparison, and then the stalker threat

part of why he wants to be so much stronger, is because he wants to meet you at your level

he wants to be more mature, in large part because a woman like you deserves to be with a Real Man

Jaehee: MC’s courage

she loves when MC threatens to do crazy things to Jumin or Elizabeth the 3rd for Revenge

a lot of her text messages are about taking leaps of faith

she loves how daring MC seems to be, and she strives to do the same

MC encourages Jaehee to reach out and experience life, and Jaehee loves her for it

Jumin: MC’s voice

his first phone call! he’s surprised at how soothing he found your voice

in general, he praises MC for how nice her voice is

I feel like he got more extra phone calls…or at least a lot of good, meaningful ones

not only her literal voice, but also MC’s thoughts and opinions

true, he gets super dominant and confining, but he does ask what you think every time he enforces something

he might not take your advice or share your opinion, but he still wants to hear it

he expresses on multiple occasions and routes how MC has an interesting way of seeing things/phrasing things

Seven: MC’s strong heart

you saw humour, even when your life was in danger

you stayed by his side, even when he was terrible to you

you followed him to Mint Eye, not hesitating

you were his guardian angel, and he loved you for it

Saeran: MC’s kindness/goodness

something attracted him to you in the beginning, back when he was looking for a plant for the RFA

he needed someone who was “gullible” enough to fall for his “I need to return this phone” act, so what better target than a good Samaritan?

someone kind would also be the perfect person to infiltrate the RFA; they would never suspect someone so kind and unassuming

as the game progresses, if you get a bad ending, Unknown tends to come kidnap you. You don’t die. He wants to keep you for himself. He’s attracted to you, even as early as the easy bad ending in the beginning
