Sherlock crashed through a window, jumping from an hot air balloon, steam punk version. Right into a hospital room. And there was John. And they looked at each other! Ugh! Sherlock finally saw John and everything was good again!

Holmes and I hurried into the hotel, out of the cold, wintry evening, in good spirits despite the chill and the late hour of our return. Outside, the rain had turned to snow, which drifted lazily down from the heavens.

“Then your investigation is truly at its end?” I leaned in closer to Holmes to ask quietly as we passed through the lobby.

I confess I felt some pride at Holmes’s answering smile. “Our investigation, yes, but if you do not object to waiting a little longer, it is past time I sent my yearly missive to young Wiggins. I believe he may find the matter to be of some interest in his new line of work—my own relations are not the only ones who have grown.”

“Certainly. Has it truly been more than a year since we saw him last?”

Holmes did not deny it. “But my sources indicate he is doing well, as I expected he would, and if he is available to visit Baker Street upon our return, I am sure we will hear all about it.”

“The adventures of youth.”

“Perhaps you could even write an account of them.”

I attempted a glare at Holmes for his facetious remark, but there was a fond warmth beneath the humour which danced in his eyes with the lamplight, and I could hardly bring myself to censure him for it. I could only follow him back to our rooms.

Lost Souls- My favorite fic of all time. Sherlock is a television debunker who is doing a Halloween special on mediums. John is an actual medium. They are brought together by Mike Stamford. AO3

Bewitching Hour- Sherlock and Mycroft are vampires and Lestrade and John are werewolves at a ball. AO3

The Irregulars Magic Shop- John is cursed and Sherlock is the witch tasked to undo the curse. AO3

Strange as Angels- Just Like Heaven fusion. AO3

Death and the Soldier- Sherlock is Thanatos the Greek god of Death, John is a reckless thrill seeker who dances literally with death. AO3

Stranger Things: All Steddie

Well Met By Moonlight- WIP Werewolf Steve and vampire Eddie. Steve is rescued by Eddie and they start down the path to dating with a mystery going on in the background. Tumblr

The Sherlock controversy

Now I had this on my mind for a little while, watching the fandom from the void like a spider in it’s web. It’s entertaining, to see all those ships sailing on the ocean of the canon. They want Johnlock so badly, yet they don’t accept, if show makers go away too far from the canon. That’s what happened with Euros, I guess. And it’s also, why the Irregulars didn’t work. Even Doyle, who was engaged in Spiritualism, knew that Holmes was a man of mind and reason and would not work well with magic.

Anyway, my point is that we all do hope for a Season 5 of Sherlock, but I assume they might be scared to make it. Because they walked a path, they can not win. I heard many voices, saying they hated season 4. If you observe what will have to happen, if they‘d stayed close enough to the canon, then you must come to the conclusion: there’s no happy end for John and Sherlock. There’s a reason why Holmes moved to the countryside and didn’t see Watson much in his later life.

John friend zoned Sherlock. And the detective knows what shall happen, if he’d revealed his feelings towards John. And John, deep down knows about it, yet he chooses to ignore it, for the sake of their friendship. It’s a tragedy, but if you really think about the characters, you must understand that there isn’t any other way. Even though this is going to break people’s hearts. And I know, mentioning it is like pushing a finger into a wound. But it’s mine as well and I want to see it bleed. And if you think that I’m completely nuts, I must congratulate you on this conclusion. Obviously you have to be a lunatic to fit into the fandom.

As a solution, I would suggest a Moriarty spinoff. There’s still room for it. We haven’t had much of Moran yet anyway and if they could get Michael Fassbender for it, the fandom would run wild. I’m aware that they might have shown Moran for a split second already, pointing towards John, while Jim and Sherlock were on the roof of Bart‘s. Nonetheless, this would be easy to fix. And they left so many clues on the Jim-twin-theory, they could easily go for it (John Gardner wrote a good template). Most important here is the Abominable bride and the last problem, where Euros even mentions Jim‘s brother (I would laugh, if his name was Robert). If you look close enough and read the subtext of the plot, you should come to the solution, it’s all there.

I would have a delicate story about it in mind, but I’m not willing to share it. Because I’m afraid of the fandom as a writer, and I feel like I have too study much harder, to ever get it right. A comforting thought is that even Doyle was somewhat scared of the fandom, cause they finally bullied him to bring back Holmes after the fall. In the meantime, I shall sit in my web and play on its strings.

Honestly, The Irregulars was so wild

It was released without any major promotion (apart from that super cool instagram account)

and you expected nothing from it because Sherlock and John were supposed to be side characters

And suddenly John was confirmed gay and in love with Sherlock. And because he was jealous of Sherlocks wife he accidently opened a rift in the universe. WHAT?!

Am I hallucinating gay content now??

[slightest of spoilers for The Irregulars]

I have been watching The Irregulars and was positively surprised at Watson coming out and confessing his love for Sherlock to Bea (the protagonist).

In episode 7, there is a scene starting at around 27:00 minutes, where Watson and Sherlock talk while waiting for a fight (prime conditions for emotional confessions, "our last night on Earth" kind of style!). They are sitting / standing at an angle from each other, looking out in different directions, but close. Bea is a floor above them, sitting with her back to them against a railing, listening.

There is some emotions about feeling old, apologies about past mistakes, proof of maturity (Holmes saying "there is more to life than being right"!), etc. Watson has the line: "Sorry if I made you feel like you aren't incredible. You are incredible." You get the idea - it is emotionally charged.

It ends with Sherlock saying "I may not be the hero of the story anymore, John. But I can at least help." (28:46 minutes)

It cuts to Bea.

The background music has faded, the only noise is a little wind rushing. And then, while the camera is on Bea, I hear a kiss. Like, a smooch.

I have watched it over and over, closed my eyes to concentrate, but it does not change - I hear a kiss (hence: Watson and Sherlock kissing after the "spill your heart, we might die, I am sorry about how I treated you"-conversation). Bea even turns and looks to them! She then gets up and the camera follows her downstairs, where we see Sherlock has changed position, sat up from his half-laying down (more easily accessible for kissing ...).

I was much surprised to find nothing about this in the tags for the show. Did I imagine it? Have many years of shows and movies queer-baiting me (Destiel is all too recent a memory!) now made me hallucinate gay content where there is none? Help!

tl;dr: I think Watson and Sherlock kissed off-camera in 1x07 of "The Irregulars", but I seem to be the only one who does.
