Continuing some captures from “The Lost Child” episode of Inspector George Gently... today it’s moving images.
(I labeled that one “beard fondling”.)
You’d think I’d get tired of this...
But no.
Ok, then, since you asked so nicely, I’ll stop.
(Happy Gatiss Wednesday.)

ahhh sometimes I really just love John Bacchus, he just went on an emphatic tangent mid murder investigation interview to question this English teacher about which historical facts Shakespeare made up for his plays 😂
sometimes he's a shallow jerk and other times he's completely earnest and adorable, I love him <3

Could you recommend some (newer?) british crime/detective/historical TV series? They're repeating the same Barnaby episodes here in Germany over and over again and as much as I like him - but I need new stuff... desperately!
Happily, and greetings to the land of Tatort from the land of Philip Marlowe! I really like both Vera and Shetland, based on the books of Ann Cleeves. The Bay is also enjoyable, atmospheric, and well-acted. Line of Duty is superlative. Also it features the most exasperated of Team Dad detectives:
If you're looking for historical detectives, Inspector Gently is a treat. And I do enjoy Endeavour, the unapologetically moody prequel series to Morse. I'd also wholeheartedly recommend The Hour, which stars journalists rather than detectives, but follows many of the same beats as a detective show, as one of the protagonists attempts to unravel a mystery that may cost them all their careers (or more.)
